Samad Al Iraqi Restaurant in Kensington and Chelsea

Absolutamente deliciosa comida y personal muy atento. ¡La sopa de lentejas de cortesía fue apreciada en un día frío! Teníamos una ensalada de chefs y un plato de kebab mixto y estaba bien presentado y sabroso. Nuestro servidor Tanya era muy amable y amable también. Recomiendo a fondo este restaurante y sin duda lo visitaré cuando en la zona de nuevo

Un restaurante iraquí promedio se benefició de una buena ubicación y una bonita sala de estar. La comida y el servicio estaban realmente en la escala media. Pedimos un pescado masgoof y para mi sorpresa viene con un plato enorme con un pescado pequeño tirado en el plato con un montón de verduras y cebolla! El sabor era razonable, pero nos dio un montón de problemas tommy para unos días después. El servicio era deficiente y el personal no estaba capacitado para tratar con los clientes. No volveré a este restaurante.

You just can’t beat this place for authentic food, incredibly tasty, large portions, very good atmosphere, reasonable cost and most importantly wonderful staff! Lena went above and beyond to serve us well and the rest of the staff put on a surprise birthday song with candles on a desert for my son- really made his day! Really recommend their Dolma and Lamb shoulder 5*

Amazing food and service. Whenever my family and I are in town, we eat at Samad Al Iraqi and always have a great experience. Youssef was very knowledgeable and can make great recommendations based on what you are in the mood for.

We turned up unexpectedly at Al Iraqui having not been able to go to another local restaurant as they were closed. We had a warm & friendly welcome and were seated and served promptly, being given help with decisions on which dishes were best to meet our tastes. It was a nice surprise to be brought complimentary soup at the start of dinner and also tea at the end. The food was delicious, generous portion sizes and well presented. Our server, Temta was very attentive and helpfully prepared take-away boxes for the food we hadn't managed to eat. A great first experience of Iraqui food for some of us and we'd certainly return. Like other reviewers we were also unexpectedly asked to pay cash when the bill arrived. When we challenged this a card machine was brought out and used for all 4 of us without problem.

Always wanted to try Iraqi food and this was the first time. We asked about the portion sizes and were told it was for one, but easily enough for two. So we ordered quite a lot of food! Plenty left over. When it was time to pay, the waiter told us the card machine was not working and told us to find a cash machine. A member of our family has to go searching for a cash machine and that wasn’t working too. So we informed the restaurant and they said they would try the card machine again, and what a surprise it worked! So we didn’t really believe the card machine not working story! Never going back…

May be because of Saturday , soup was cold , bread was taking time and no attention if more iraqi bread is needed, tea is just diluted water so real iraqi tea ..meals are below medium level..No iraqi special pickles , There was 3 batchlres drank in the resturabt who lough very loud where we could bot enjoy iraqi music after long trip from Manchester. Fake booking online so they did not accept it even its done one day before the visit..they asked for booking on call. No parking area or vallet Clean toilet.

Absolutely delicious food, it was so lovely seeing a genuine authentic Iraqi menu with well known Iraqi dishes [ as opposed to Iraqi restaurants that actually are just selling lebanese food]! The portions are very generous, had a starter of soup complimentary, then the table got a variety of dishes including tepsi bedanjan, kubbat saray, kubbat hamouth and kebab. All absolutely delicious and very large portions. Really enjoyable atmosphere, look forward to coming back!

We came from Switzerland on a london holiday and were happy and eager to taste some iraqio food for the first time but what a disappointment. Extremely bad service and unfriendly staff. We were greated like intruders and we felt really unwelcome. Despite half of the restaurant being empty staff said they'll try to find a table for us and we had to wait 15mn!!! Then came back saying they only accept cash money !!!! At this point what was a bad beginning turned into really a terrible experience so we decided to leave the place. Seeing other comments I don't think we missed much. Really a massive disappointment this place

Very unfriendly and inattentive staff, we almost felt like intruders there… no one came to clear the plates after we were done eating, no one offered us dessert menu, no one showed the tiniest interest if everything was to our liking. Above that, the food was very mediocre and served in a very crude way. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

I recommend this restuarant for people who look for halal food. We had Kuzi and it was delicious. They bake bread in the kitchen as well.

It's the worst experience. We went there to celebrate my graduation but it was very bad & pricy. Food isn't tasty at all seriously we couldn't eat it, it was very bitter. Not recommended at all

High quality Iraqi food with abundance and a very welcoming service. The Ramadan menu is varied, tasteful, colourful and certainly plentiful. Lovely staff. Been 3 times so far in last 3 weeks! I highly recommend it if you want to try authentic Iraqi and Arabic cuisine in a calming ambience.

Great decor. Decent portions. Consistent taste. Decent service. Located in a good area which is not too busy. Large food selection to choose from. But: I question the value for money here. You can get same quality food for much cheaper elsewhere. What this place offers which the others don’t is a brand, a refined decor, with uniformed staff etc.

We have been twice to this restaurant and the food was amazing really delicious and the portions was more than we expected,although they were very busy but we managed to get everything we ordered on time. The manager ( Bashar ) was really watching over and kept going round the tables to make sure that clients been served and customers are happy, he was even helping his staff by serving some tables. as an iraqi person i can say this restaurant is truly delicious and serves traditional authentic iraqi cuisine, i visited with my grandmother and the customer service was amazing, the staff were all so kind and it was an overall great experience.

We pitched up on a Tuesday evening without a reservation. I had some misgivings as the reviews on here are variable but the restaurant looked inviting and the food appeared enticing. Extensive menu, generous portions, delicious food. Reasonably priced too, we thought. Lovely surroundings and good atmosphere. The service was friendly enough, and my wife and I were happy.

The portions are huge and everything we had tasted great. Also, staff there are really nice. With no doubt we are coming back. My regards to all the team there.
