The Coffee Bar in Kensington and Chelsea

Came to the Coffee bar today with my partner for what was planned to be a ‘quick’ snack and a coffee. Our Flat whites and cinnamon buns were delicious, however the poor service was a let down. After being sat, we were not given a menu so had to ask, which for a place like this is very poor, but didn’t really bother us. After that we got told that someone would be taking our order shortly. After multiple attempts to get staffs attention and over 15 minutes later, we had our order taken! This delay was apologised for by the person taking our order which was nice, but it was clear that we had been forgotten about. We got our food and drinks shortly after, which were both delightful. However, it then took far to long to pay. We had stacked up our plates, cutlery and cups to make it easier for the staff to take. After 10 minutes plates where taken from us with no eye contact and without being spoken to. It then took a further 20 minutes to get our bill! We had both made multiple attempts to get our bill by speaking to staff who said they ‘would be with us shortly’ but ended up not coming back. One staff member we spoke to even went off shift and had swapped with someone else. At the end of this, looking at the bill we had been charged an ‘optional’ 12.5% service charge. This wasn’t mentioned to us, and we certainly wouldn’t have paid this service charge for the service we had received. We felt that maybe we had been treated differently due to our young ages and that fact we weren’t dressed up as smart as people around us. The whole experience took us about 50 minutes total, and only about 5 minutes of this was eating and drinking. Thankfully I had good company with me. To summarise: excellent food, but not somewhere to go unless you have time to waste.

The creme brûlée is delicious, the mille-feuille is excellent, and the coffee is not bad

Pure luxury. The prices are high, they are worth it for the location and the atmosphere, they are truly characteristic British. It's nice to look at all the dishes that are offered

The coffee was even though I’m certain that the quality was very good and even though the milk was very nice steamed just not great though the cake I ordered which was too fair also incredibly expensive was very delightful though the main reason I would like to come back, even though the prices are With £6.50 for a flat white and £12 for one piece of chocolate cake incredibly high was the wonderful atmosphere and the article building which the coffee bar is located in(Harrods) it is surrounded by other beautiful food shops and just everything well besides the whole trendy super expensive brands like Balenciaga and so on which was sadly also there the whole flair was one of quality tradition and style which I left also you should talk to the Potier in front of the Harolds. He’s a true English man, a very nice person.

It’s an experience! Pain au chocolate and coffee for 20 pounds is very extravagant and decadent. The chocolate croissant was delish; very buttery and had tons of thin layers. Coffee was quite good. Just not sure it’s worth the cost as there are so many other wonderful patisseries in London to try, but again, coffee bar at Harrod’s is an experience. Service was OK but not great. We waited a super long time to finally get our bill. There is a time limit on seating.

The basement of Harrods department store is so much fun. Take a break and have a cappuccino at the cafe in the center of the basement of the department store. This is also delicious.

Nice spot for a quick breakfast before spending a few hours shopping. The food hall is busy and bustling on the weekend, but the wait was quite short. All of the pastries and desserts are absolutely gorgeous, wish I could have tried more. The cinnamon bun was delicious and served warm, the pain au chocolat nice and flakey. Excellent iced lattes as well.

Went to window shop at Harrods and ended taking a break at their coffee bar. The bakery near the bar doesnt allow for you to eat the baked goods at the bar. The bar has a good variety of pastries and tea/coffee. Service was not very friendly and it felt like they were trying to rush us to eat and get up to make space.

Be warned, you can't enjoy any of your treats you purchased at Harrods at the coffee bar. Don't make our mistake and wait in line for 30 mins only to be told we can't be seated cause we already bought dessert from the patisserie right next to the bar. Pretty bad policy honestly.

We had a wonderful experience at the coffee bar today. We want to give a shout out to our server Diane and Aivaraz our barista. They made our visit memorable and we will be going back soon!

The most famous coffee in London 🌟☕️ The Coffee Bar is located inside Harrods, on the first floor, near the sweets section. Taking the idea of ​​the bar (chairs around the serving staff). To be honest, their coffee in the head is not natural (cortado, black or cold drinks in general). Nothing wrong with it, my advice is try the tiramisu 🤤 *Note: There are no reservations, so keep in mind a long queue for your turn. If you sit for no more than an hour, then they will get you up 😒 It deserves to be honest. Every time I go to Harrods, I have to make a stop there, but sometimes I go to it specifically if I'm craving coffee. *You can use your Harrods card or even points 😍

Although it is hard to get a seat- the coffee bar is a nice place to take a break from your shopping day at Harrods. The Earl Grey tea and the espresso are good.

The latte and sandwich was mediocre. Be prepare to pay a high price and a long wait during the weekend.

For the money, I have to be critical. Ordered Earl grey and honey cake. Sadly, served in a thick coffee style cup, not a fine tea cup, poor. No lemon available with Early grey (but great loose leaf selection) Standard knife and fork to eat cake? No cake forks Give the quality of the food and drink served these are not small items at this level and sadly detract from the event. The actual tea flavour was excellent as was the honey cake, very light and superb flavour.

Almond croissant was among the best I’ve ever had, but the scones were dry and lacking flavor and one of the worst scones I’ve ever had. Coffee was perfect.

Beside being impolite which has to do with how well raised he is, and the blame here goes to the parents, the cafe manager needs years of hospitality trainings to be able to stand in a cafe before being able to manage it. Someone needs to let the gentleman understand that he is just managing few counter seats in a coffee place and not anything more than that. Chill! Making people feel uncomfortable is the easiest thing to do especially when they are visiting as tourists in a country where they could be unfamiliar with the processed and the way things work. The staff were nice and quick, the offering of coffee, scones and bakery were good, the counter vibe was fun… I recommend revisiting the leg room under counter.

We had best experience at the coffee bar in Harrods. Luka ( bar manager) made our experience memorable, he did suggest the summer drink and dessert. Thank you so much Luka made us unforgetable London trip.

Love this little coffee kiosk. The staff are always so friendly and I highly recommend not only the coffee but the cakes and smoothies too. I did find it out how the caviar croissant to eat at the Coffee Bar was £25 however to take out from the food hall was more like £12?! My favourite cake here is the honey cake, the portion size is massive! Do be aware that there is always a massive queue and at the busiest moments it gets quite uncomfortably hot. Aside from this I really enjoy going to The Coffee Bar and the staff always make me smile.

Arrived about 12.30 on a Wed, lucky to get 2 seats. Ordered coffees and a sandwich. The lady in charge was really friendly, chatted to us. I believe her name is Alice. The sandwich tasted very good. Service was prompt and all staff on duty all served with a smile. I would gladly come back again.

A quick eat & drink spot. Moroccan mint tea was good. You have a maximum of 45 mins per seating. The wait to find a seat is around 20ish minutes.

While on holiday in London we stopped at Harrod's because it's what you do when in town, need wellies due to heavy rains, and of course to do any final Christmas shopping before the big day. Harrods has always been hard to navigate. The floors and rooms are maze-like and I can tell you from experience that the directional signs are not always accurate and you can find yourself lost very quickly. This is a small thing and I do believe that getting lost (on purpose) is part of the point. The food hall has not changed in years; no need to alter near perfection. The colors, smells, quality of displays and the foods themselves is absolutely top tier. Exhausted, we stopped at the Coffee Bar for a bit to eat and get some liquids to hold us out until a late dinner. Over the baking section were huge peasant loves spelling out the holiday one letter per loaf; simply amazing. I have seen other grand halls with food but nothing rivals Harrod's. Thirsty and very hungry, we bellied-up to the Coffee Bar. I had the Gravlax or smoked Salmon croissant with herbed cream cheese and a little cucumber (pictures below). "Yes", that is gold leaf on the sandwich. My wife had the vegetarian sandwich on focaccia and it was really good; both plates were super good and we proceeded to eat everything. The staff was great, managers constantly circling making sure all was good for patrons. The team kept the food areas spotless. The cleanliness and attention to detail was good to see and everyone was involved in that culture. The Coffee Bar is a wonderful place to watch people as well. So many characters in Harrod's seemingly all of us intoxicated with the season, the glamour, and the abundance of choice and selections.

Good coffee, friendly Customer service, is expensive but what do you expect inside Harrods.

The service is too bad. They dont even need to bake the cake but just to take it from the fridge, which took them 30 min and we need to remind them for this basic thing. And I dont understand why ppl are not allowed to eat sandwiches that are also bought in Harrods food hall. We have also spent like 50 pounds in the their food and they still not allow us to eat.

I'd stopped into The Coffee Bar multiple times before for, well, coffee and always found it worthwhile. On a more recent trip, I discovered their espresso martinis which were nothing short of FANTASTIC. The bartender puts their time and attention into it and as you can see in the pictures, even garnish them with hand drawn lettering. They were just as delicious as they were beautiful!

First off, shout out to the Barista Mohammed who is a great Latte artist! Obviously the place, being within Harrods, is super cool & fancy! Do not forget to line up & wait to be seated, even if no one is waiting!😅 Good coffee, nice break from shopping, expect to pay in the range of 6-7 for Americano or Latte! But great part of the London experience for coffee lovers ☕️🤎

Terrible service. I left after waiting over 15mins to be served. At £6 a coffee. Overpriced unfortunately and I was really looking forward to a treat.

Delightful experience! They do have a sign posted when you enter the queue requesting you keep your visit to 45 min in order to minimize wait times. My partner and I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon and we sampled their lattes, the steeped chai tea, and split a portion of tiramisu. Whilst this may run on the more expensive end for a coffee bar, i would say it is a definite must if you have the time and desire to visit Harrods.

Came very late, around closing time. The staff were obviously very tired from a long day. But they were so incredibly nice and welcoming!

Lovely iced coffee, tea and drinks to stop by at within Harrods. Limited seating options and can get busy and full even during the early morning or afternoon, so do try to arrive earlier or you may end up waiting around like us!

Decent coffee. Good flavor, temperature, and nice art. But the price did not justify the product whatsoever. I usually don’t mind paying more for better quality products but for 1/3 the price you can get the same product at any local cafe. It was 12 pounds for a cappuccino and a small bottle of still water. Absurd if you ask me. I know Harrods offers luxury and most products there are high end but that’s plain robbery.

The cappuccino was delicious, but the best thing about the place were the staff. The staff taking the order was super nice. The barrista made me smile when he went over to a small child and talked to her over the counter. He even went to the shop to get some strawberries for her. Super sweet.

The Best Coffee in UK and Friendly Staff.

We came to London over 6 months ago, saw Phantom of the Opera, ate at Christopher's and had Breakfast at Tiffany's but the thing we still talk about most was our experience here. Must say, it was all down to George, an incredible kind soul and we can't wait to go back just to say hi again. We went two days on the run and to see his face light up when we were there again was incredible. A gentleman that truly cares about his service and the true definition of a Barista. "Nothing special tbh" what do you want a latte to be? Lol. Its expensive, duh it's Harrods in London?! It's like going to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and saying the wine is a little steep... Of course it is. What makes it worth the price tag is the experience these guys create, the desserts are phenomenal and we spent the best part of an hour and a half each time here. Thank you George, we hope to see you again soon!

A novelty, in my opinion. However in these times, the seating arrangement are a bit too close for comfort in my opinion. Expect to pay high prices. £6 for a normal sized croissant and £5.95 for a latte. Before 12.5% service charge. The staff were very friendly.

I adore this place! Whenever I go to London I come here! Believe me they have the best cappuccino ever! And they can also make it personalised with whatever coffee art/ writing you want! All their products are freshly made and tasty 😋 The place is always clean and well organised! The atmosphere is just beautiful! Their staff is lovely as well and the kindest! A big shoutout to Gabriele & George! You’re the best! I’m definitely coming again! I highly recommended it! You’ll thank me later!

Nothing special about their coffee if I’m being completely honest, however the atmosphere and baristas were nice.

Their coffee is OKEY not up to specialised coffee; however, it is good for an Americano .. I recommend to go there morning or afternoon anything after you will need to stand in a line for nothing special to be honest .. the staff is GREAT and Super friendly .. the price was expected since this in Haroods.. but, more than £5 for a regular Americano ?! I do not think it worth it

Nice food, nice cake, nice coffee. If you are experiencing busy time, e.g. I visited on Boxing Day, you may have to wait 30 minutes in queue

If you are in the hurry this is not your opinion, as specialty coffee the beans are nice, good option to try.
