Salvis Mozzarella Bar in Trafford

We absolutely loved how quirky this family run business was, the servers were all very attentive and looked to enjoy working at the restaurant. The food was absolute delicious, my partner tried the Margherita Pizza and I had the Mare Seafood Linguine. We will be returning!

My boyfriend and I visited Salvi's by chance as we thought it looked so nice as we were walking by. We were greeted by a lovely waitress who gave us a great table outside as it was such a nice day- we really felt like we were in Italy! I had gnocchi which was amazing and my boyfriend had the best calzone either of us had ever had. The calzone had mozzarella stuffed in the folded crust. The prices were just what you would expect from a quality restaurant (around £12-15 on average). I would definitely come back.

My dad and I were in Manchester for a couple days and chose to re visit Salvis for some dinner. We had a lovely evening with great food however the service really let the place down. We ordered out food and our starter came out in good time - we were then waiting for out main for around 45 mins to which the garlic bread came out which we ordered to have with our main which we waited another 25 mins for!!! We both wanted to have a dessert however we were not offered the dessert menu so just asked for our bill - 20 mins later still no sign of the bill so we had to ask again. Such a shame that the evening was let down by the extremely slow service this needs improving.

I love it at Salvi’s; great food, lovely wine, good service, nice atmosphere. It’s proper italian, except for the chinese waiter but he’s brilliant. It’s my favourite place to eat in Manchester. It’s not too dear either, for the quality and experience. Try the grappa before you leave, it’s good stuff.

Sí, la reclamación del camarero,Aperol Spritz es que su nació el mejor de acuerdo a mi esposa. La Nero D'avola era tan agradable como siempre, y las ofertas especiales de garbanzos y sopa de champiñón, etc. y ravioles con salsa de tomate y mozzarella de bufala sublime. Sigan así chicos, me encanta!

Ordered a veggie pizza. Arrived quickly, looked lovely but soggy base and rather tasteless. Very disappointing. Others in my party loved their pasta dish and sea food risotto and puddings.

We sat down and were welcomed warmly by a waiter and were not ready to order food but he took a drinks order. We were then waiting for around 35 minutes for our order to be taken. We then waited a further 30 minutes for it to be delivered. Food was good when it arrived but the starter was a bit pricey. Won't be back.

While on a day out to watch The Corrs at the M.E.N Arena six of us were looking for something to eat ( which isn't easy when there is six ). We were walking in the direction of the Printworks but found this lovely little Italian en-route. The entrance was enticing enough being a beautifully set out deli shop/ coffeehouse. The restaurant is in the basement and has well set out tables and chairs. We were escorted to a little private cubicle as there was so many of us. The walls were covered with wine bottles on racks and the lighting set low but not dark the whole ambiance of the place was excellent. The waiting staff were first class advising on the meals and drinks. The food was to die for and not a lasagna or bolognese to be seen, either on the menu or plate, this was The Real Italian. First class place,first class service, first class food.

I came here last night as I am staying in a nearby hotel without catering. I was blown away by the friendly lady, Vee who was behind the counter. She served me with an exceptional pizza at a small cafe price and very nice bottled beer. Before I left I asked if she served pasta and she mentioned what was on the menu. I wasn't keen but she offered to make me something special and what did I like? So I came back a second night. You don't get that service today. If it's not on the menu you can't put it through the till! Verdict - exceptional service and food. I didn't expect to find this within a leisure organisation such as Airkix. Well done Airkix and Salvis. Thank you.

Salvis have just opened a bistro at Airkix Indoor Skydiving at the Trafford Centre, Manchester. The food is the same excellent quality but the range is slightly reduced from their place at the Corn Exchange. The coffee is, as usual, excellent. Their pricing was similar to the Corn Exchange but they've reduced prices recently. You don't have to be flying at the tunnel to eat there. It's probably one of the most incongruous dining venues out there as you watch people float around a big glass tube whilst you eat and drink!
