Restaurant catastrophique, les portions servies sont ridicules, les prix paraissent abordables parce que ils servent des demis portions.nous sommes allés dans un supermarché pour finir le repas...tout ça pour la somme de 91 pounds ....une honte

Disappointing presentation and lacking friendly staff. For the price of these dishes you would expect good presentation and value for money. This however was not the case. Bland flavours and weird combinations made the whole experience feel confused. The staff were unfriendly and lacking in service and smiles throughout. I don’t think this restaurant chain is suited to london it falls flat in many promises. London has many high end tapas restaurants and this isn’t one of them. It’s nice to be treated warmly at a place your paying to eat and we were not here. Even thanks when you leave might help show your customers you care.

Can’t fault this restaurant at all! We have been to tapas restaurants before where you feel bombarded with food, and it sits on the table getting cold. The tasting menu was perfectly drip fed and the staff and service was faultless. 100% recommend to gluten free diners. There was just one dish that I couldn’t have, but they’d adapt it if needed. Topped the list of my favourite restaurants in London.

Service was okay if a little tepid bit like the food really. Very disappointing when you are charged £60 for four Tapas which aren’t seasoned let alone hot. Couldn’t order a bottle Albariño as they didn’t have any!! But did have a nice bottle of white from Puglia, Cantine Carpentiere 2023. So not all lost at least we were able to drown are sorrows.

The Salt Yard has had great reviews both here and from friends. Unfortunately the experience does not live up to the hype. The food is over ambitious from a chef who does not have the skills to execute it. Some dishes over seasoned, some under seasoned and all of them poorly balanced. I’d go as far as to say some were almost inedible.Service was dreadful, the same dish being brought twice, a long wait between and bottled water replaced with tap water (and charged for). Our neighbouring table also seemed to be having the same problem. A first for me , we refused to pay the service charge There are better restaurants in London

Fabulous food & great service but what a shame that there's a time limit. Surely the whole idea of tapas is to take your time, as much time as you want but we were rushed. If you're billing your restaurant as a Mediterranean tapas bar, do as the Mediterraneans do & allow customers to relax and stay as long as they like. Larger tables would also be a good idea to hold all the delicious goodies on offer more comfortably.

We went for a quick anniversary lunch. Ordered the patatas bravas, crab, hake, chicken, lamb rump and panacotta and chocolate mousse in dessert. All of them were very tasty. Dishes were made one by one so we could eat all of them warm and in peace rather than all dishes served together. Will definitely go back and have recommended to all my friends and colleagues already. Very friendly and relaxed service.

I really miss Fino and from other peoples' recommendations thought this could be the top end Tapas restaurant to replace it, But although the prices are high the venue is not as classy, the service is not as slick and the food is not as impressive. Good yes, bit doesn't have the same wow factor. And for down to earth tapas in a relaxed atmosphere one is much better off propping up the bar in Barrica, just along the road or at Morito in Exmouth Market.

Really delicious tapas, everything we ordered was just sublime. The courgette flowers are obviously amazing being the signature dish. The salt cod and steamed Cronish plaice two particularly tasty dishes worth a mention.Lovely rage of sherries to go along with the food. And the service was fab too. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Saltyard, the tapas was fresh, tasty and imaginative and every dish we tried was fantastic. We started with the Italian charcuterie selection Finocchiona (Tuscany), Wild Boar Salami (Tuscany) Capocollo (Emilia Romagna) with fresh bread and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the tapas we cose chorizo, pork belly, salt cod, plaice and patatas fritas. Every dish was beautifully presented and wonderfully flavoured and the portions were generous and all came with some sort of accompaniment. We really did not have room for dessert but shared a Valrhona Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with Mini Churros, Oloroso Poached Plum and Salted Chocolate Crumb which was my favourite dish so I'm glad we didn't skip dessert.I would highly recommend the Saltyard, we went on a Tuesday night and it was packed, the tables are rather cosy but it all contributes to the overall atmosphere of the place which is intimate yet buzzing. You can even split the bill on an app if you are going dutch and we both received £5 off for using it.

Lovely place, visited for lunch mid-week only a few tables occupied but pleasant atmosphere. The food is seriously good, the courgette flowers are a treat but not for sharing so you need to order one per person. The croquettes were delicious, though served lukewarm we have several other dishes but my favourite was the pork belly with beans - a delightful little dish which was delicious. For dessert I would recommend the ricotta dumplings. Wine list is very good and the white rioja was excellent value.

3 of us went and we had 8 tapas dishes plus a selection of Iberico meats. The meats including bellota ham, chorizo and salsicce were delicious. We had some eel croquettes, octopus (really delicious and light), chorizo and beans, porcini croquettes, pork belly, boquerones and olives plus one more dish I cannot recall. The service was very ttentive, bringing the dishes bit by bit rather than serving them all at once, and we enjoyed every single dish. An interesting Spanish beer and the house white and red were very drinkable. Total bill was about £160, so it is not cheap, the tapas vary from about £7 to £9.50 each in the main. However, we would thoroughly recommend the restaurant if you are in the area and it is worth going to if not! A must!

OK. I'm old and a misery. I just don't want to share my conversation/seat space/bottle of wine with the people next to me! It is so ridiculously cramped that it's hard to just consider how spectacularly good the food is. From arrival, breathing in was a necessity. Staff are friendly, efficient and well-informed. The food is seriously good with some nice little twists (although I can't give you a single stand-out dish). Wine list is a tad expensive but well-represented. Overall - really good. Would I go back - yes. Just prefer the peacefulness of Iberica!!!

Salt Yard is one of 4 in Salt Yard group with Ember Yard (Berwick Street jct with Oxford St), Opera Tavern (covent Garden), Dehesa (Oxford Circus). You'll find superb charcuterie, cheeses and wine at each and a menu of mostly small plates which has some overlap. Places are informal, physically very different (large Opera Tavern v small Salt Yard) and full of dishes you won't see often inspired by Spanish and Italian traditions. Salt Yard's ranking on Trip Advisor doesn't make any sense - consider that Time Out megazine publishes London's '5 dishes to die for" each year and Salt Yard Group has two - fried courgette flower stuffed with blue cheese drizzled with honey (available at all) and a pork burger only available at Opera Tavern. My only disappointment is the way most dishes now cost about £8 rather than £5 or £6 of a few years back. Still special for the money...

We have been to saltyard lots of times in the past and have rated it as one of our favourite restaurants. However, last Friday we were left very very disappointed. Unfortunately saltyard seems to have become complacent with its growing popularity and are now going to lose longer, loyal customers as they lose their customer services values.Last Friday, we ran out of wine before all of our food arrived so wanted 1more glass with our food but, despite it only being 10.45pm on a Friday, we were told they were no longer serving wine. We would have found this irritating but wouldn't have made a fuss had the 'manager' (chris) not been so rude. We have never been spoken to in such a way and were mortified when he smirked and laughed rather than try to resolve the situation. When we got up to leave, he seemed to think it was funny and refused to offer an apology for his attitude. He had no care that customers were unhappy and seemed unbothered to be losing customers mid-meal. Such a shame that we won't be returning again.

Took my daughter there yesterday for a birthday lunch and we stayed for 5 hours! The food was amazing and our waiter was especially knowledgeable regarding the wine list. Took a date here last night.I've been a few times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The restaurant covers two floors and I've always preferred the street level as there is more atmosphere. The tapas are first rate. About 5 is enough for two people. The average price is about £8 per tapas.Wine is around £30 a bottle and there is a good and wide section. The service is friendly and unrushed: they just check in while you chat away.I would recommend both as a romantic eve or with friends chatting away over dishes.Overall we paid £85 for two with coffee: which I thought was value for the standard of food

Nice noisy atmosphere and close to the center of London but really a bit pricey. The food was Tapas type and tasty but as is often the case in restaurants they were putting a very hefty markup on the wine. £40 for one of their cheaper wines was to say the least a bit steep. I would go again for the atmosphere and food but drink water ! - It also seemed a bit steep to pay £12 for a plate of slices of Jambon and Salami. Prices are important in these days and there are plenty of Tapas bars so owners need to be careful not to price out clients.

The most satisfying meal I have had since coming to the UK. The fried rice was delicious and the tom yum soup was delicious. But is the soup with 4 shrimps priced at 8 pounds too expensive? Not counting the 10% service charge, but overall it’s still delicious.

I’m shocked to discover that this place has been open on my doorstep for a quarter of a century and I’ve only just discovered it. The important bit: you won’t find a better steak at a better price. Or a better steak full stop. Hamid and Sirous (manager and proprietor) can advise you what to order. I’ve forgotten our starters (they were good) because the steak is the story. The côte de boeuf we shared was cooked to perfection and large enough to satisfy three healthy appetites coming as it did with salad and fries. Another thing: the wine list. No wine was over £35. The excellent Côtes du Rhône that we had was only £30, a price that justified a second bottle. The dessert menu is limited but that doesn’t matter as diners are unlikely to have any appetite left after the steak. Service was superb. An excellent experience in every way.
