Quality street food with cosmopolitan dishes in a beautiful covered hall with a fairly family atmosphere. Be careful of the fairly tight schedules.

We had the falafel wrap, it was very big, and delicious ! The fries were delicious too ! 10/10 would recommend to vegans and non-vegans !

The food was great. The fries were seasoned delicious and our favorite were the Gyoza.

There was a huge selection, friendly approach, unfortunately not connected to our cashback app If you like vegan!!!

We had peanut butter ramen noodles and they were very nice! A super convenient vegan eat :)

On a day with lots of travel delays and soulless airport food I eat in desperate need for something fresh and Salt 'N' Fire definitely delivered something different. Hard to pick from all the yummy options but the Aubergine wrap I settled on was huge, and tasty and an exquisite mix of soft roasted aubergine and lovely fresh crunchy ingredients. Just what I needed!

After a couple of weeks on the Outer Hebrides, it was with much excitement we hit civilisation and the amazing vegan food at Salt and Fire within the Victorian Market in Inverness city centre. We had a couple of noodle bowls, some sirachi mayo dirty fries and Kimchi Wanton which were the star of meal…. And to make this an even better experience the Victorian Market is dog friendly! Highly recommended…

Had lunch today at Salt’N’Fire after hearing good things from a colleague and was not disappointed! The pad kra pao and falafels were both delicious and clearly freshly made, all for a good price. Will be back!

Very tasty vegan street food from all over the world. We ate Muhammara and Baba Ganoush as starters and then two delicious bowls. I love food in market halls and this one was very special and delicious!

We had the wontons and loaded fries. Really tasty and loved all the different vegan and vegetarian options on the menu.

Delicious, Syrian/Lebanese style food

Place says it closes at 20:00 but actually closed at 19:40. Couldn’t be bothered to take my order as they were worried they wouldn’t be able to shut at 20:00! Terrible attitude. Edit: reply to response - all other food stalls in the market were still open, they just closed early.

Extremely poor experience. The closing time is advertised as 8pm but I was there are 7:30 stood in the queue and was told by the person serving that at 7:45 they can’t take my order. Was left stranded as this was the only vegan place around this area. Had flown in from London and driven all the way from Edinburgh. Poor experience of Inverness 13/8- update from customer - response from owner suggest coming back. Interesting as I did say that I was there on holidays and was only staying overnight as I wanted to get food from this place. Sadly the owner has no sense of customer understanding and what they want. Poor

We ordered the gochujang and the sriracha style fries as well as leek wontons and kibbeh. Everything was super delicious, best vegan food we've had in Scotland thus far!! We ordered online for collection and it worked out well, service was really friendly, too, and right on time!

So nice to have some plant based food after the meat-heavy options we had whilst visiting the Highlands! Pad kra pao bowl was delicious

Good food. The wontons are excellent! They’re fried crispy; I had the mixed-veg ones. I also enjoy the Buddha Bowl and the Pad Kra Pao with its crispy tofu chunks, rice, green onions and (too many for me) chillis. The broad beans are good too. Great to find an all-vegan eatery in the Victorian Market!

Food was surprisingly good. Service for foreigners is excellent. The server/owner is very friendly and ready to help by answering questions about the dishes, as well as making great suggestions. The environment is like a food court in a small shopping mall, but more beautiful than the BR standard.

Tastiest food in Inverness. The empanadas were the best. The price was reasonable for good quality food.

Hands down some of the tastiest food I have ever eaten! Added bonus that's it's all vegan. So good I went back for dinner again the second night!

Set in a community street food square inside the Victorian Market this small takeaway restaurant has a lot of great options. A main should be enough, but get some sides too because they are worth it.

I forgot to leave a review at the time! Went for a falafel wrap back at the beginning of June with a family member who was visiting and we absolutely loved it, very fresh, packed with veggies and the falafels were very tasty!! I recommend!

Good burgers. I had the Mexican which was juicy and not too hot. Bread bun a bit dry but not too bad. Part of Inverness food Hall in the covered market which has good toilets too 😀

Had the muhammara dip (roasted red peppers with walnuts) which was amazing... Will come back very soon! and try other dishes. Prompt service and the atmosphere in the food hall reminded me of Asian markets I've eaten in. A lovely addition to the Victorian Market. Salt and Fire were busy and are clearly popular with all ages.

Surprisingly barely any taste/spice, it was more like sustenance than tasty food, we were very disappointed. Follow up: we had the Soto Ayam on May 15th during lunchtime.

Lovely food, our favourite of our Scotland trip. We had the soto ayam, pad kra pao and veg wontons, all were gorgeous!! The soto ayam was too spicy for my partner so maybe avoid it you don't like spice

Lovely vegan spot in Victoria Market. Had the miso peanut noodles. Flavors were mostly there and though it’s clever to make noodles out of (locally-grown?) potatoes I honestly think the dish would be much better with standard wheat based ramen or udon. The noodles reminded me of konjac (even more than japchae) as they were chewy but so slippery they were tough to actually chew. Would also be great to have a little side of soya, a slice of lime, and chili oil in case you want to amp up the salt or heat, which I would have. Texturally sort of one note - would be amazing with fried onion or garlic on top. Eventually gave up on the noodles - too much work - and just finished the bok choy, corn and mushrooms which were great.

An unexpected gem! I had a few hours to kill before my train and stumbled across this place after finding that the original place I’d wanted to visit was closed. Really impressed by the loaded fries as well as the sticky rice & tofu bowl.

Fast becoming my favourite type of food packed with goodness and clearly cooked with love plus I don’t even think or miss meat when I’m eating their vegan food the staff are friendly and vey knowledgable if your not sure just ask

Being a veggie , I was hoping the food would be yummy, but sadly, it was not. Bland wrap and no seasonings. One thing I do know about vegetarian food, is that you can't skimp on the flavours. This was a massive let - down .

Burger was a little messy and meant to have chess on it but so little couldn't taste it. Very expensive £4.00 for chips OTT

Can't praise this eatery highly enough. Tonkatsu fries are amazing. My other half thought she had went to another planet after having the Baba Ganoush.

Haven't lived here for a while so I went in to check out what was new and was told to try salt n fire for a decent vegan munch. I was NOT disappointed! The Kibbeh was AMAZING with the hummus and I also got the roasted pepper dip and pitta bread which was very tasty. Can't wait to sample more of this cuisine while I'm back in the homeland! Hats off to the chef's!

Went to Salt n Fire Inverness for lunch and enjoyed it some much I took my family back a few days later for more! We had the Falafel Bowel, Dirty Fires, and the Buddha Bowls. Everything was delicious! All the food is fresh and presented beautifully! The staff are also very helpful and polite! The servings were large and we even had to take some home! I have never had vegan food before and I loved it. Will definitely be back soon and would highly recommend trying Salt n Fire! Vegan or not, you won't be disappointed!.........................10/02/2024 Recently went to their relocated take-away now within the central hall of the Victorian Market food hall and wow! I tried the falafel wrap for the first time and it was amazing! As always ingredients are fresh and tasty and the food is freshly made from scratch. If you haven't eaten at Salt n Fire yet, give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

I had mixed veg wonton. I wanted kimchi, but there were none left. I think they put chilli oil on them, very tasty and spicy. I was happy. Friendly service. It's very popular, always busy. Fairly quick service.

1st class vegan outlet for lunch, quick, fresh and cheap, a bit difficult to find as they have been pushed out a half empty food court and hidden behind what looked like a fire door.

The falafel bowl was tasty, great vegan/ vegetarian options. With plenty choice!

I forgot to write about this place after I got home from traveling, but it was one of my favorite places I went to in Scotland. At the time, I was actually quite upset about some stuff, just walking aimlessly around the city in the dark, and the person at the counter was so nice and gave me a small sample of the makdous to try for the first time. It was so amazing I ended up ordering it twice, but mostly it was just good and comforting to talk to someone else who was in a good mood. If I ever come back to Inverness, I’d definitely come again and try something new!

The food and service were great. The location was interesting. Like a up and coming in town market. It was clean and safe, and had live music in main area. But Salt N Fire was awesome food and service.

Best place in town! Proper fresh amazing vegan food with incredible flavour! The dirty fries, wontons and pots of joy are to die for! The staff are so friendly and generous. Great portions sizes for the price. You will not be disappointed. I could eat here everyday and not get bored. I would rate this place 1000 stars if I could 💜

This is my favourite place to get lunch when I'm in town. They have a great and interesting selection of vegan dishes many of which you can't find anywhere else in Inverness. The kibbeh are really good!

Only had a light bite of Kimchi Wantons and skinny fries for the kids but it was delicious and just different. The menu looked fantastic so I will try more next time.

Holy cow 🤯 I don’t actually know how to describe the level of amazing this food was… my friend and I ordered the Kibbeh with the muhamera sauce and the kimchi wontons, then went back for more of each. The muhamera sauce alone left us speechless. Seriously… we sat in the food court silent in shock. Please go here, everyone should experience this food. Lara was amazing to talk to as well and so helpful. 11/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I could NOT get over the muhamera sauce that came with the equally incredible kibbeh. Seriously, if you’re within a 50 mile radius of Inverness, you MUST make a trip in for this dish. It will leave even the most carnivorous human in awe of the depth of flavour. And also the kimchi wontons. Only a slight runner up. Lara and her team love what they do and are so helpful and willing to share their love of good food.

Wonderful eclectic vegan food derived from many eastern cultures. We've just eaten here and wish we had something even close back home. Top job

Really lovely wee place, have tried a few of their dishes and everything is so fresh and tasty! Even if you are not vegan/vegetarian it’s worth a try. Food is always quickly prepared and staff is kind. Portions are well served and fair priced.

Extrem leckeres Essen zu absolut fairen Preisen. Endlich Mal was Gesundes neben all dem Fish&Chips im Urlaub auf der Insel. Es wurde auch auf individuelle Wünsche der Kinder eingegangen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Der Laden ist ein Veganer Laden und verkauft Wraps, Bowls usw. Das Essen war sehr schnell fertig und sah sehr ansprechend aus. Die Bowls sind voll mit Gemüse und sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr nett.

Saved my vegan life getting off the ferry and scrambling for food, we had the wontons and togarashi fries on the way up and had to get them again! So good, would be a welcome treat to see them open in Glasgow too. Thanks again!

Really lovely food and a good amount for the money

Everything was absolutely fantastic! One of the best Hummus we have had in a while.. very interesting menu with unique dishes that would suit your palette. Definitely recommend if you are looking for vegan options in the area.

Vegan eet spot in de foodhall van Inverness. Heel lekker kruidig eten met genoeg keuze. De foodhall zelf is echter wel wat treurig, maar dat is los van Salt ‘n Fire die er zelf super goed verzocht uit ziet. Het eten krijg je snel en is makkelijk in de foodhall te eten of om mee te nemen (take away)
