Beautiful Perfect in everything

We didn't stay at this hotel (thus the 4-star rating), but we had the loveliest dining experience here. We had gotten engaged a few days before and had an extremely disappointing engagement dinner. This was our last night in Scotland, and we decided on a simple Italian meal. When we arrived, we were greeted by the most gracious young staff members and were delighted to find that every single person we interacted with had a smile on their face and were eager to make us feel at home. Dinner was hearty and very tasty, served in a lovely sunlit salon room. The family who own and run the establishment are welcoming and charming, and they kindly gave us complimentary limoncello to celebrate our engagement. Truly one of the most heartwarming experiences of our whole trip, and we cannot wait to go back!

Located within walking distance of the hotel, the Aurora offered good Mediterranean food with nice service at a manageable price (by Scottish standards). We would go again 👍

Nice hotel just near the Nairn town centre. Our room was very comfy, massive TV for the size of the room. Breakfast was tasty. Owners were very friendly. There is an Iyalian restaurant there but we didn't eat there so can't comment on that. Free off road car park.

Had an amazing meal here on Saturday. The staff were also amazing. Please try you will not be disappointed 🙂

Went for a meal when staying in the area for work. Food was good, pasta dishes looked excellent but had skipped lunch so went for the rump steak, was good. Good choice on the menu and staff were attentive. Will visit again.

Really good food and the stuff is awesomely nice ! If you are near this restaurant you have to visit it.

Only went to the restaurant, not the hotel. Food was delicious all around, dessert and all. Portion sizes were large! Be mindful. Decor was lovely, and, with the music, made for a very nice atmosphere. Service was great.

Went for dinner, and it was absolutely amazing. The portions were so much that others had to save room for dessert. Highly recommend

A very cosy and homely family-run hotel, with very reasonable prices, close proximity to the airport, and superb hospitality by the owners and their staff. It also houses a restaurant which again ticks all boxes - great Italian food at reasonable prices and very attentive service.

It was truly the best hotel experience ever. I don't know where to start. The hotel is at a very good location with a free parking. From the minute you enter you can tell your stay will be perfect. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. We arrived late in the afternoon, yet they prepared for us a very hearty meal. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was beyond our expectations. It smelled fresh and clean and it was beautifully decorated too. The wall paper, the new carpet, the corner with the very nice china for tea or coffee, the bed was sooo comfortable. The mattress and pillows new, the sheets fresh clean and impeccably ironed. The toilet and shower perfectly clean, new and functional . The towels fluffy and soft. There is nothing I would change. We went there for one night but we stayed another additional one. The hotel is the perfect place to stay when you do sightseeings around. At our stay we visited Culloden Moor ( 15 min drive) , the Fairy Glen waterfall ( 25 min drive) , the Culbin Sands where we saw a very impressive tide ( 10 min drive ) , Loch Ness and Fort William ( 1.5 hours drive). Highly recommended.

Really lovely place to go and eat food! All the staff are wonderful, service is quick and the food is delicious! Highly recommend a visit to this lovely family owned restaurant.

Did the trick for a atay for a football weekend at Nairn County. Ended up in Turriff instead but, was easy to get to and back. Dinner was lovely with great servers too.

Well what can i say. Can't fault our stay. Fantastic Staff, Food and ambience. Would recommend for anyone visiting the area and especially any Italians..

We went to the restaurant after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. The authentic Italian food was fabulously flavoursome, good sized portions that felt healthy and light on the stomach. The atmosphere was very relaxing. We will certainly be back.

This was our first visit to the Aurora restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The conservatory dining room has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, and courteous, attentive staff made us feel very welcome. The menu offers a wonderful traditional selection of provincial Italian dishes, created and prepared by the gregarious and impassioned chef/owner....generous portions, beautifully presented. Even though we were more than sated with delicious starters, and mains, we couldn't resist the dessert menu, and opted for the homemade Tiramisu....simply divine ! We feel very fortunate to have discovered this "gem".....highly recommended

My wife had languistine, king prawn platter and I had a steak, tagliatelle with chilli. Not shy with the portions. Absolutely cooked to perfection on both counts. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be going back, great food, great staff and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Best Itallian food I've ever had. Really outstanding.

We haven’t stayed here yet but we have had some wonderful authentic home cooked meals. The welcome is always exceptional and we used to live close but now we’ve moved further away we still like to come here for some great comfort food. Service is always personal and exceptional at that. The meals are large in size and very tasty. Great value for money. Lovely old property. Home from home. See you again soon.

I visited aurora Italian on Saturday 11/28 I couldn't make reservations and went into the restaurant they said they couldn't seat us we was going to leave when Mya ran out stopped us found us a place at the bar and gave us both free champagne thank you Mya food was awesome and we will be back soon

We'd read the reviews and booked looking forward to warm and genuine hospitality. This is exactly what we got. We stayed for one night in room 3 - a large double room with an ensuite. The hotel has a lovely old world feel but the real charm is the hospitality. As a family run hotel, we were truly welcomed and the service from all staff was exceptional. It was attentive, friendly but not intrusive. The younger waiting staff were especially courteous and it is clear that much time and attention goes into ensuring they are well trained. We ate dinner which was lovely but the cooked breakfast was superb with the best black pudding I have ever had. We really enjoyed our stay and will return if we were back in Nairn. A great starting location for the Nc500.

We had wonderful meals and service on 2 of the five nights we stayed in Nairn, the food was superb, and the family service was second to none. I recommend Aurora Restaurant without exception. Well worth the visit, thank you.

The food and service was amazing. We really enjoyed the meal. It was a special occasion so the attention to detail was really appreciated. The main course was a large portion, I had the chicken with a cream and mushroom sauce and it was delicious as were the starters and side dishes. The complimentary Limoncello was also delicious 😋
