Saltie Girl in City of London, Westminster

I was on my own on Oxford Street and found this place for lunch. I didn’t have a reservation but was quickly seated at a table, despite being on my own (to eat at bar was also an option). Menu is really interesting. I had gorgeous clam chowder and then anchovy toast. Lots of nice cocktails and wine by the glass. Staff were superb and it was a great experience. Plus they sell lots of beautiful canned fish to take home! What’s not to love?!

I finally got to experience Saltie Girl. So glad that I did. I went out on a limb and didn't get my usual lobster roll but ordered the lobster and waffle meal. It was out of this world. The service was stupendous - thoughtful and friendly. It's kind of funny that even though I now live in Europe, I'm originally from the Boston area and go back there to visit 3 times a year and haven't gone to their original resto but definitely will be going in February to have this waffle dish again.

Fantastic. From the exquisite seafood to the impeccable service. Manager Mr. Balliu’s attention to detail and warm hospitality added an extra touch of excellence. I highly recommend this place and will certainly be returning!

The food deserves all the positive reviews it receives. Not only were the dishes beautifully presented, but they were also bursting with flavour. I highly recommend trying their signature dish - the lobster roll, which is definitely one of the best in London. Despite being busy, the team were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that we had an enjoyable dining experience. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their dishes!

Very impressed with service , friendliness and atmosphere . we pop in for few drinks with group of 7 . Very welcoming staff , super management presents of floor , Good quality drinks . Will be coming back for meal very soon.

We were very excited to experience brunch at a Michelin star recommended restaurant… it was actually a terrible experience and not what I would expect from a place like this. The hostess got us seated and asked if we wanted sparking or still water we ordered happily thinking it was a great start. The water never came… 5 mins later our waiter came to give us menus and ask us what kind of water we wanted. We ordered again and thought maybe just a lack of communication was happening. Another 5 mins passed and I watched as our waiter waited on the group of ladies right next to us bringing them refills of water and as my thirst grew stronger I grew more upset. So I politely called him over and asked if we could please get some water. We finally got the water and ordered our brunch. When the food came out it looks so delicious and well plated.. that’s about all it was. It tasted terrible. We got the salmon eggs Benedict, and waffle eggs and bacon. The egg was the best part. So sad for a Michelin star recommended restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter. As we ate we finished our cocktails and water, but the waiter never returned to ask if we wanted another or even a refill of water so I politely called him over again, and asked if we could just pay. I left with a bad taste in my mouth about Saltie Girl and definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone. It was way too expensive for the experience they deliver. I would recommend saving your time and money and just going right next door like we did to The Mayfair Chippy. They are also Michelin star recommended but with great service and great food.

Really great Sunday brunch. The waffle with bacon is perfectly done and the salmon eggs Benedict has very good quality salmon. The Caesar salad was also fresh and extremely generous. Prices are also reasonable.

Headed here for brunch and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Service was fantastic - the staff were attentive without being too overbearing and so knowledgeable about the dishes. HUGE thanks in particular to Harish who made our first visit all the more memorable! The salmon crudo was exceptional as was the spicy avocado toast and 'sexy pasta alla vodka' [I am incredibly picky with pasta and I've been craving this dish days on]. The setting was beautiful to boot. I particularly loved the mermaid theme from the cutlery to the artwork dotted across Saltie Girl. I hope to return - if only to sample the impressive-looking oyster towers!

The server was friendly but unprofessional. After cleaning our starters he asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu although we had ordered a main course from him earlier. We also had to remind them to serve our wine and when the fish came out and we acknowledged that there were no side dishes as mentioned in the menu, he said that we could order them separately. He didn’t seem to realize that the rice we ordered should have come with the fish until we pointed it out on the menu. The server also asked how our experience was towards the end and didn’t really seem to care when we gave him our honest feedback. The food was okay, not bad but nothing out of the ordinary and for that price we expected better food and service.

Visited this restaurant mid week with friends, it had mixed reviews but decided to give a go. Such a mistake, wish I joined the queue for the fish and chip shop next door. The service was poor and took a while to actually take our order. Starters were disappointing at best the crab claw cocktail was 5 claws and a dip surrounded with ice and the mains were just as dissappoint. Sadly for the price point there is so much more on offer in the same area.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food that we had, although visiting on a Sunday while they offered the brunch menu, we’d have preferred to have the option of only 2 courses rather than 3, as we weren’t really hungry for dessert. That said, the sticky toffee pudding sundae was great. The salmon crudo was really nice, as was the crab toast. Vibe is very different to the Boston location but not in a bad way. A little overpriced in my opinion but a good brunch anyway.

I really really wanted to like this place but it’s fairly middling . I ordered Vodka Penne with Lobster for £38 . I make this at home regularly and much better . They service tried really hard . The deserts were good .

Two seafood cultures team up to create delicious food, fun atmosphere, and glamorous decor. Whether you sit at the bar or at a table, you can’t help but enjoy yourself. Among our favorites were the crab rolls, mackerel and snails. The asparagus was cooked to perfection and the complimentary crab claws just made our entire experience unforgettable. Can’t wait to go back.
