Para empezar, es más como una cafetería que un restaurante con una decoración pobre y sin manteles de mesa y sin ambiente. ¡Sólo cuatro personas más estaban en el restaurante a las 8 pm un sábado por la noche lo dice todo! El camarero estaba vestido con una camisa de polo, pero fue lo suficientemente educado y el servicio fue bueno. Con el menú decidimos jugar de forma segura y pedimos bhaji de cebolla y pollo tikka masala y puedo decir honestamente que he comido mejor comida india de un supermercado. ¡Si hubiéramos intentado ser más aventureros, podría haber sido una historia diferente! Reservamos esta comida a través de Groupon y honestamente puedo decir que si no hubiéramos pagado con el cupón, habría entrado en el restaurante y había vuelto a salir (las primeras impresiones cuentan). Si este restaurante es para sobrevivir, necesita un cambio de nombre y un cambio de imagen completo.

Este lugar es todo un hallazgo. Siempre vamos allí cuando tenemos un concierto en el BIC, es parte de la noche. La comida es realmente fresca y hay algunos platos inusuales que no siempre se encuentran en muchos restaurantes indios. Probablemente el mejor cumplido que puedo darle es que la comida era como la comida que comíamos en la India, por lo que es realmente auténtica. El servicio es siempre encantador y son gente muy dulce. Espero que siga así como siempre ha estado tranquilo cuando hemos estado allí. (También muy bueno para vegetarianos ya que hay una gran selección)

Pasamos por el restaurante casi por accidente, pero nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. Comida muy agradable con una variedad de platos del sur de la India que eran muy aromáticos y sabrosos. El restaurante estaba tranquilo y espero que tengan la oportunidad de prosperar ofreciendo comida que es diferente a la típica comida india.

This Indian restaurant is a jewel in Bournemouth. Absolutely fantastic. Can't praise it enough. Staff great. Incredibly reasonable price. Can't wait to make a return visit.

Very nice to see curries that I have never heard of before. The menu was not as large and onerous, as is often the case but the kitchen was happy to cook food to request as well as adapt the heat of your dish. The staff there were exceptionally welcoming.

This restaurant recently opened - it's great to have somewhere with different and authentic southern Indian food. The food is excellent and not expensive - well worth a visit.

This was our Christmas ‘do’, and despite having ordered everything the week before, we had to wait hours for the main course. Some people left early because they were so hungry.When my chicken vindaloo arrived, I have to say it was the weakest, most insipid vindaloo I have ever tasted. Barely spicy at all. All in all, very disappointing.

Had the most amazing meal here last night. Couldn't fault anything. Authentic flavours absolutely delicious Indian food. Hospitality second to none and a big thank you to the owner Sabu for making us so welcome. We will return again!

We went to this newly opened Indian restaurant. Excellent service. Small but interesting menu. All food freshly cooked. Poppadoms to start. We were asked to try some freshly cooked anchovies, freshly cooked. had the chicken dish which was delicious. We also had a dessert. Well worth a visit. We noticed they are also doing £5 curry lunches.

We really needed a good independent indian restaurant in Bmth town centre and this is it. They do such good food but just don’t get the passing trade because of their position in town so please support them - we don’t want another chain coffee shop replacing them. They seem to be quite new to the game, which is lovely, and they cook everything from scratch, so don’t expect to rush in for a quick meal.

A very good Indian food experience. This seems to be with a South India flavour. Very fresh and fragrant cuisine, beautifully cooked and presented. The menu includes a good range of fish dishes and vegetarian options. Very friendly staff who are clearly enthusiastic about their food and hospitality.

We arrived at 5.30pm and restaurant was lovely and quiet with just one other couple.

Visited recently with a group of friends. Very friendly, helpful waiter and nice to see different things on the menu - the food is from southern India and Kerala, so we all tried something different to what we would normally have in an Indian restaurant. The food was excellent, full of flavour and really tasty. Will definitely return if in Bournemouth again and would recommend to others.

Authentic Indian cuisine is Salt N Pepper strapline and how true. From the amazing onion bhaji to start to an authentic chicken dish cooked with peppers . Amazing food . Nan bread to die for and all served with a smile . Thank you

Didn't realise until we saw the menu that the restaurant provides Kerala cuisine. So welcome, and such a tasty change from 'typical' Indian restaurants. Really nice mini dosa for a starter - a 'must try' if you've never had it before.

We had the pleasure of dining at this new Restaurant in Bournemouth.Centrally situated in Town centre. Juju the proprietor welcomed us to this well appointed venue.What impressed us the most is that Menu is well selected,simple and not too many choices to confuse ones appetite. The service offered by the young waitress was prompt and helpful. My wife and opted to share the Gilafi Sheek and the Lamb Biryani, Kerala style which was not overpowering. The portions were more than adequate for our constitution. The Gulabchand Jamun were authentic,soft and delicious. Highly recommended.We shall be frequenting Salt N Pepper often having found a suitable Indian Restaurant in Bournemouth. Parking is accessible in and around the main road. They also do Lunch Boxes at £ 5 which is excellent value for a Take away Lunch.

The Salt ‘n’ Pepper restaurant was quite pleasant with friendly service but I would question the authenticity of the Indian menu. The meal was welll presented. We had a chicken madras curry which is normally a fairly spicy meal, not in this instance, the meal was unspiced and quite bland. We had another dish presented as as an Indian delecacy but again disappointing with no heat. The food was ok but if you are looking for an authentic Indian curry you could do better elsewhere.

Friendly staff welcome you into their cool and very clean restaurant, with comfortable, spaced out seating. There is a relaxing atmosphere, where you can enjoy a cool drink while looking over the menu. The main menu offers a good variety of Authentic Indian cuisine, also offering a good range of vegetarian dishes. The tables setting are well presented, and the food is delicious. Succulent chicken accompanied with fresh ingredients. Good service and we will certainly be back. They also offer a £5 takeaway lunch box deal, which is great if you are on the go!

Don't be put off by the very average decor & branding and the slightly irrelevant name, the food here is seriously good! The owner is absolutely lovely and can't do enough for you. We went in a reasonably large group so between us had most of the menu - all of the dishes were spot on! Highly recommend the lamb starter - we wolfed the first down so quickly we ordered another two between us! The flavours were so fresh - needless to say we will be back!

Bournemouth if full of Indian restaurants, some good, some bad. We tried Salt & Pepper on a recommendation and so gad we did! Wonderful food. Really unusual, not your classic chicken biryani, really authentic southern Indian curries. The slow cooked lamb is to die for, as were the fish dishes we tried. Everyone was really pleased with their meal - even the popadums are light and non-greasy. Well done Salt N Pepper and thanks for opening on my doorstep!

Finally found the perfect place to enjoy the delicacies of India without having to buy a ticket to India. Top quality food! Highly recommended!
