The best lunch we've had in Ipswich for many years! An unassuming café just a couple of minutes walk from the high street. Excellent food and great music. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Ipswich.

Lovely little place, good choice of food on offer for a decent price. We went for the Turkish breakfast and were not disappointed. It was huge and flavoursome. The customer service was faultless. Will definitely be visiting again

Had the double breakfast with an Americano. Coffee was fresh proper coffee and food was freshly made to order and was very nice!! Friendly and helpful owner. Would certainly return next time I'm in Ipswich.

Stopped off briefly on the way back to the car after shopping. What a nice little spot. Had an egg bap and oj. The bap was lovely not your usual cheap roll but a more rustic one. Eggs cooked to perfection. The orange juice was probably twice as big as many cafes serve. Signs say that there may be a wait but it wasn't as bad as expected. Will come again.

A great choice for Saturday morning breakfast by the Mrs. Good location opposite NCP car park, with an extensive menu. Very friendly service! Portions were perfect, and the spinach omelette just WOW. Highly recommended.

Came here last second with my wife and son 10months old, made like warm beans for him and came out perfectly. Really cooked to perfection allowed me to swap things that I have ordered at a very good price 10 items + a drink £16. Coffee and everything else came out perfectly I couldn’t recommend this place anymore ! Support a small business and pop in you won’t be disappointed

We stumbled across this place and so glad we did! We had the Turkish breakfast and it was totally divine! He was happy to have swapped the olives if we had mentioned they weren’t our fave. Very friendly service, a fulfilling meal and heathy too.

The food is ALWAYS delicious and is mine and my husband's go to for a fry up or even just a nice cup of tea, the cafe is immaculate and the couple that own it are incredibly friendly, they remember us and take a genuine interest in us always asking how we've been and how our kids are if they're not with us. 5 stars in every category!!

My wife Sally and I are regulars at Salt N Pepper - its excellent service, reasonable prices and convenient location to the town centre make it a favourite stop off for us. The couple who run it themselves are very friendly and hard working. Last Saturday our son, and his wife and son were visiting us, so we went to SnP, and we had a lovely time, with the food and service as top-notch as ever.

Top notch freshly cooked food. Quite randomly passed this place today and so glad we called in. I had a Turkish Breakfast which was awesome, plentiful and so much healthier than the usual fayre cafes churn out. Super friendly service and a refreshing change. Menu is customisable and excellent. Spent nearly four hours here and had an awesome breakfast, wonderful apple pie and custard and many cups of tea. I was made to feel very welcome and will definitely be returning!

We stopped in today and am so glad we picked it to eat. Such a lovely, warm, friendly service and the food was so good. It filled us all up a treat. The mocha coffee was so tasty that I had to have another. Next time I'm in Ipswich, I'll be heading there for lunch again. Thanks, guys and girls ♥️

Honestly can't give enough credit to the owners of this amazing café. They always go out of thier way to make me and my daughter feel welcome and the food is always outstanding. If I go out for food this place will always be my first choice.

From the moment you walk in, this husband & wife team treat you as one of the family and their smiles are infectious. The food is 2nd to none with an excellent selection of British & Turkish cuisine.

I don't often get the chance to stop by but am always glad for the warm reception and relaxing environment here, not to mention the delicious food cooked to order.

Very nice and cosy place for breakfast and lunches. They serve here Turkish dishes as well. The music is very calming and you are able to talk with your friends. The place was not too busy.

A fantastic alternative to your chain retailers on offer in the town. Not only was the food fantastic with very generous portions, I got the sense that the proprietors had a real care for their regular customers. Indeed, on my first visit I entered in to a conversation with them and felt welcomed and warmed by my interaction. They are clearly a part of the community and their message to shop local and thereby ensure the proceeds of the sale circulate back in to the local community is something we should all try to do as much as possible. By the way the cilbir was delicious and not something I had before.

I've just been here for the first time and found it to be an excellent café. The menu is broad and the food was cooked superbly and was piping hot when served. Very good range of drinks. And also the lady who served us was absolutely lovely. This is one of the best cafés in Ipswich

A real gem. We stopped for breakfast. A massive range of options from British staples through (healthier) Turkish options which come with bottomless cups of tea/coffee. The eggs benedict would not be out of place in a Four Seasons. Prices are reasonable. Quality is high. Service is cheerful and efficient. Wished we had discovered it sooner.

We stopped in here for drinks today and it was lovely! Great smoothies and milkshakes. Just wish we hadn't had lunch elsewhere or we would have definitely eaten here as the food looked amazing too!

For sure my FAVOURITE place to eat out in town. Absolutely love it. Every time I go there I have the eggs royale and they.re always just delicious. The restaurant is always open to replace small things in your meal (like if you have a full English breakfast like my SO usually does, you can trade the tomato for an extra hash brown). I always feel welcomed there and the atmosphere is really friendly. Would strongly recommend.

Was in the area of ipswich and tried this coffee shop first time and the food was very tasty. Will definitely visit again, prices were very reasonable and there was plenty choices on menu. I highly recomend anyone in area to visit for quality food.

Service was pretty slow, I ordered a sandwich, bread was stale the sausage was tasteless, the worst part Wass that they dont make you aware that they are going to put margarine all over your bread (wouldn't have minded if was actual butter) Was awful tasting had to force it down as was in a rush. The best thing about this place was the coffee which was actually pretty decent.

Its a place i frequent a least 3/4 times a week sometimes more, for me its perfect location for access with local parking close to hand.my custom is mainly for drinks beer wine etc but when i have eaten i have never been disappointed and the staff are always up for good chat, always excellent service 🍷🍺🍴👍

We recently visited the local area for a small vacation and stopped by here to have breakfast initially. Lovely service and food and a lovely family atmosphere. It was run by a family and you can see they put their heart into their work. We later decided to stop again on our way back home and never regreted it. Truly amazing food and a good variety of food. It caters to everyone. I will definitely recommend to all and promise, you wouldnt be disappointed

Well prepared food, large menu, and good sized portions. A clean and well ventilated environment with extra privacy screens since easing of lock down.

A standard cafe that also adds Turkish dishes to the menu. Try the cilbir pronounced as chulberr. It’s a standout dish for me. It’s Turkish but I’ve never seen it anywhere else. It’s poached eggs sitting in a spicy and garlicky yoghurt. Worth supporting a local business.

What a wonderful cafe! The menu is an exciting mixture of traditional British and Turkish items, including a good range of breakfast dishes. We had menemen (eggs with peppers, tomatoes and toast) and cilbir (eggs with garlic yoghurt, herbs and toast) - both absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked from scratch and looks like it's made with love and it's very good value, great range of veggie options too. We wish they'd put a proper Turkish coffee on the menu but otherwise it's perfect! Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back..

Came into ipswich yesterday with my sister, she often goes on her breaks to this lovey little café when at work , well I went with her and was not disappointed the food was cooked from scratch and very tasty at a very reasonable price , I will be going again .

Had 2 excellent lunches here the other day. Very good choice of meals at really good prices. Would definitely recommend this establishment, not just for a sandwich and cake but for a really tasty meal.

I visit about once a month and each time the food is always fresh and the portions are very good and fills you up. I will continue visiting when around in Ipswich and reccomend this place to all.

I’ve visited this place twice now over a period of three months. Today I ordered beef burger and chips. The food was fresh and the burger homemade. Delicious. Very pleasant, polite staff and good value. Will visit again.

We searched all over the place for somewhere to eat near the theatre. Finally, we stumbled across the Salt n Pepper cafe and decided to give it a go- don’t be fooled by appearances: this is a honest and lovely cafe. It has a 5 star hygiene rating and was clearly popular with other customers. The waitress and chef were very friendly, the menu was perfect for lunch and very reasonably priced (£3.65 for a baguette). Our lunch was well made and yummy- even my mother, who usually finds fault with everything, was impressed! They claim to have the best coffee in ipswich- a claim my mother said was true! If we ever go back to Ipswich we will absolutely go back again. Well done Salt n Pepper:)
