The food was amazing great customer service and I loved the decorations on the inside. All amazing and great definitely reccomend!!

We were welcomed by the owner Alvise, who pampered us throughout the evening. The environment is refined but at the same time familiar, research and attention to top quality products. The homemade desserts made by the owner's wife are definitely worth trying! Super recommended. Adriana

I was here two times during my last visit to London and without a doubt, here I had the best food - the best sea bass ever, divine parmigiana, and heavenly deserts. Also, the owner is a really nice, attentive host, and staff is very professional. I will visit again, for sure.

Great Italian food but slightly overbearing staff. We use for business lunches often and can't complain too much. One occasion when they knew it was a corporate lunch we noticed they would pour the wine to 3/4s then ask if we want another bottle, knowing we wouldn't ask about the remainder of the last bottle. Left a bad taste. Atmosphere is crowded but fun. Sometimes tough to get service or a servers attention. Would recommend the lasagna.

Was walking on our way to the hotel and everything was closed, The Italian Owner was really kind and even though the kitchen was just closed he managed to order us a take away pizza!!!! The pizza was really Italian style very tasteful and the atmosphere inside the place felt really warm! On my next trip I will definitely visit it and have my dinner there

We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by a rude host who sat us. We didn’t think much about it, but in retrospect, it set the theme for the meal. It was difficult to communicate with the waitress, the tuna in the tuna tartare was not fresh and tasted fishy, the baby chicken tasted “off”, the salmon was cold in the middle and we had to go to the bar to order drinks because the waitress could not communicate what drinks were available. We would have tactfully mentioned the issues; however we were not asked how our food or experience was. I do not recommend this resturant.

I must say I enjoyed a lovely evening last sunday at this lovely Venetian/ Italian restaurant. Alberto was a very charming host to my evening alone and when I asked for the signature dish, he suggested the sole and I ordered it with the white wine suggestion. I was very happy with the food and wine suggestion delivered. For afters I enjoyed the cheese with a delicious red wine. I will certainly suggest this restaurant to all who want to enjoy a lovely Italian dinner in London and will go again if the opportunity arrives! Mille grazie to Alviso, Alberto 🥳, the chef and his kitchen brigade. Hope to come again soon!

We tried this restaurant after poor quality food and overpriced. Stuff of the restaurant look very bad trained and their manager quite embarrassing. There are many more Italian restaurants near much better like Scarpetta. So I will definitely avoid the place.

Stumbled into this nice place while looking for a birthday dinner. Good food, nice atmosphere, broad wine selection and very friendly staff. Would recommend.

I had the Tagliolino Cannaregio (gratin with bechamel & ham) and it was great. Sister had the Salmon and said the same. Atmosphere was nice, staff very attentive and wait time for the food wasn't too long. For reference, they no longer accept the Tastecard for 50% discount.

My third visit (first post-pandemic) and the food remains a delight. On this lunch occasion I enjoyed their fantastic Pappardelle Montalcino (slow braised wild boar, olive taggiasche, tomato sauce) accompanied by a glass of red recommended by the staff.

Always wanted to try this out and eventually managed to do do. Not disappointed. Excellent wine choice and lively knowledgeable staff to complement a wide range of beautifully prepared food. A really enjoyable experience.

Amazing food at this place, been to Rome and this place beats it!! Absolutely amazing food! Wife had the ham and mushroom pizza and I had the baby octopus with home made pasta. Will definitely be going again.

We've eaten here twice now when staying near by. Both times we've visited we've had our young children with us and they couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. And the food has been delicious both times!

Was very disappointed with the service . Although the waitress and the manager seemed to be nice . I waited for a long time to get what I wanted spaghetti with prawns and then after waiting I finally got my dish, but it was a completely different dish! because they did not have enough ingreadiants to make the dish i wanted they decided what I should eat for me , when I then finally agreed on a dish I waiting very long to be served, I was starving not forgetting not even give me a fork ..plate was small and the bottom was just filled with spaghetti no discount just because I don't drink alcohol the could not even offer me any thing - horrible food and service was a let down .

Very friendly service and great wine list. But hugely overpriced for the experience. The squid main course was excellent, but the scallops were tiny, salty, burnt and served with the wrong veg: for £22.50. Also almost half the desserts were not available. Looks like the kitchen needs some work! When we pointed these points out, the waitress was sympathetic but offered no recompense or solution. Very disappointing experience. No wonder it was empty.

MUST GO!!! It was my friends birthday and after a terrible expirence at a horrible nightclub ( Trapeze bar shoreditch- don’t go!) we expected nothing... we were given the world!!!! Although we didn’t order any actual food they brought amazing drinks and Provided such a great atmosphere even gave the birthday girl a slice of cake with no extra charge. Elvis and Alberto, the wonderful Italian men that were working this night provided such an uplifting birthday for my friend.. I intended to pay extra for such a great service, these wonderful men expected nothin in return for their accommodation and fantastic customer service service.. a would not miss. Definitely go if you want an authentic Italian experience and to be treated like a queen/king.

Love love love. I come from the usa for paintings in London regularly and this place is my visit every time. And several instances per week. I realize right Italian. that is first rate Italian. The body of workers is brilliant. can't say enough have in no way had a meal that wasn’t awesome nor carrier that become not superb. just make the time and visit. good Italian is not a rushed task.. take pleasure in the menu, take pleasure in the wine and starter and have fun with the main. you'll now not be disappointed.

Not worth it, even with a tastecard. Service: Manager(/owner?) recommended a bottle of wine (which was alright in fairness) but broke the cork and there were bits in the glass when he asked me to taste it. This was quickly fixed with a decanter and a filter but not great. However, all this was done while he had his airpods in his ears. Again, not great. Halfway through our meal he was having a loud conversation on speakerphone in the middle of the restaurant so I guess the airpods had ran out of battery. I don't think this guy knows how to run a restaurant and like someone suggested before, could perhaps do with a customer service course. Food: Calamari starters were ok. Plenty of aioli to make them taste good but by themselves they could have done with a bit more flavour. The veal was really bland and at £14 (normally £28!?) it was still so far from worth it for something that tasted of cardboard. My pizza was good but it would have been impressive to mess up a pizza... Setting: No atmosphere, TVs on the wall, sterile, tacky. Also, the taste card does limit your options on the menu which is an unusual approach. They don't explain which dishes specifically aren't included so you have to guess whether the dish you want contains any of the 4 or 5 ingredients that would exclude it from the 50% discount... fun. All in all, there are better restaurants in the area where you will spend less and get better food/service, even at full price.

Ridiculously small pasta portions

We had booked a table before we have arrived and asked twice if we can use a Tastecard. When the bill arrived, we were told that we are not able to use our Tastecard for a selection of food (which was basically everything on the menu!). A guy who claimed to be the owner was very rude! I do not recommend this restaurant.

I selected this restaurant from several listed in the area with Tastecard. On the Tastecard website it stated 50% off food for upto 8 people. I called the restaurant to make a reservation and specifically asked if they accepted Tastecard they said yes they do and I booked lunch for 7. On arrival at the restaurant I confirmed our booking and reiterated I had a Tastecard the Maitre De told me “ we no longer accept Tastecard “ and that no one would have told me otherwise ! Tastecard still has this restaurant on its website and it would seem the restaurant is ok with this as it gets people through the door under false pretences - had it not been a very wet day we would have gone elsewhere. But we will not be back and have told others our story ! They were unapologetic & quite frankly didn’t care !

It is fine dining. The restaurant is nice with warm environment. A bit pricy. We tried Pasta and Pizza. It was delicious. But when we walk out of restaurant, i can see the kitchen in from basement window and I saw it wasn’t fresh. It was ready in a bowl don’t know from when. The portions sizes are on the small side except for the side of chips. One portion is enough for two. I would say the restaurant is overpriced for what you get. We would have left wanting if we didn’t order the bread, starter and a side. More attention to detail would go along way.

The ambience of the restaurant was amazing. The food was mind-blowing especially the pumpkin ravioli with the butter and sage sauce. The host was a perfect gentlemen with a great sense of humour. Perfect for a date if you want to impress your significant other.

Food was ok, disappointing that we had to wait 50 minutes for main course and there were only 13 people in restaurant. Main course was nothing special and the desert was basic. Service was ok, but when clearing the table don't lean across the guest, poor etiquette.

Like others who have reviewed this restaurant, the actions and demeanour of the manager totally ruined our evening. I’ve eaten here before because the food is very good, if pricy, but shall never do so again. We were accused of trying to steal another group’s wine, which had been put into our ice bucket: the manager’s attitude then changed from sarcastic to outright rude. He slammed our food on the table, was openly contemptuous towards us, sold us a bottle of wine that cost over £60 on the pretence that it was more like £30 and made us feel so unwelcome. His colleague was very embarrassed and indicated that the manager’s behaviour wasn’t uncommon.

An old fashioned Italian where the waiters wear suits and dash around. Has the 'fresh' seafood linguini whiuch was exactlky the same sauce as the baby squid in spicy tomato saue starter. May have been fresh seafood in the pasta, but I couldn't tell as it was bathed in a heavy, dark, stewed tomato sauce which feit like it had been prepared for Garibaldi. Must try harder....

I have never had such a bad service from a director of a restaurant as I had recently at Salotto 31. I was by the door checking the menu when the director called Alvise came to say hello. I knew they accepted tastecard so I asked if it was ok to use it. He said that I should have called beforehand to make a reservation but he would make an exception and let us use it. We entered the restaurant and there were only the 3 us in there. Before we had even sat down he asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I replied saying let me have a think and he promptly replied that there were not much to think about "still no bubbles and sparkling with bubbles". Very patronising. We ordered the food and again he was quite arrogant with his comments while taking the order. I asked if they had beer as there were no information on the menu and he replied saying that they had only draft Peroni. After ordering dessert I asked for the bill and he requested my tastecard. I showed the app on my mobile with all of my membership details. I have never had any problem showing the mobile as it provides all of the information which the restaurant needs including a bar code which many restaurants even scan. He said that he needed the actual card or I would not have the discount and he proceeded to walk away. I left my dessert on the table and followed him trying to explain that there were no need of the actual card because the app offers all of the information necessary to prove that I own a tastecard and it is valid. I have never had a problem with this elsewhere. He replied saying that it wasn't his restaurant and nor mine so he needed the card because the owner needs to see it. I asked to see the owner and he said he wasn't there at the moment. To avoid more discussion I asked him to give me the full bill but warned him that I would make a complaint. He ordered me to put my mobile on the table and he took a photo of the details. He gave us the discount on the food but charged a staggering £7.95 per pint of Peroni. Subsequently checking the menu online the price is advertised as £6. Needless to say dealing with the patronising and snide restauranteur and being overcharged for the privilege spoiled my meal and spoiled my day. I suggest you find somewhere else to eat.

Came in on a quiet night (weekend) and got to know the owner, Elvis. Food was superb, wine options were out of this world. Reviews seem a little over the top compared to my experience. I found it to be a fun, vibey, local place. Would highly recommend. Friendly and welcoming.

I went to dinner with colleagues in this restaurant in the City of London and I was very impressed by the goodness of the food, the taste of all the dishes I ate was really superb, the fine dining presentation was beautiful and elegant, the menu has a nice choice of very interesting and sophisticated dishes of Italian cuisine. the wine list is surprising for someone like me who loves Italian wines ... I recommend Salotto 31 to all those who love good Italian cuisine in an elegant and stylish environment with an impeccable service from all the staff. Ogni volta che ho occasione di trascorrere qualche giorno a Londra mi organizzo per andare a cena in questo super ristorante italiano nella City. Accogliente ed elegante, offre sempre menù ottimi con materie prime di alta qualità (una volta ho trovato persino il tartufo). La cantina è fornitissima ed il personale sempre molto preparato ed educato. Per essere a Londra, ottimo anche il rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio Salotto 31 davvero a tutti! È anche comodo da raggiungere...vicinissimo a metro e autobus.

Abbiamo trovato questo piccolo gioiello in una stradina in piena City: cucina italiana di grande qualità, cantina ricchissima (bevuto un Batàr toscano 2015...) e servizio estremamente attento e cordiale. Abbiamo assaggiato taglierini al tartufo impeccabili, ottime tagliatelle al sugo di cinghiale, cotolette alla milanese croccanti e leggere e calamaretti in umido saporitissimi. Veramente una bella esperienza. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

We went to Tower bridge with the kids and we were looking for an Italian restaurant on Sunday afternoon. There are no many that are open in the city. There were few customers and we didn’t have to wait for a table. Pizza and chips for the kids and a decent main for us. The tall guy(?that was working alone was so kind and offered an ice cream to the kids. I will definitely go back...if Im in the area.
