Best part of visiting Hunstanton is having lovely fish and chips from your favourite chippy. Had cod and chips curry sauce a pickled onions

Lovely friendly polite staff. Food always hot and cooked to perfection. This is the only fish and chips that I will go to when visiting Hunstanton. Most definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed

Final trip of 2023, and I must leave one final review. Hunstanton has many fish and chip shops, and everyone has a favourite. So why do i pick Sally's you ask? Wonderful staff Traditional fish and chips Excellent value For me, fish and chips are best served out of the papers with loads of salt and vinegar. Absolutely amazing!!!!! Fish was cooked very well and not greasy what so ever!!!! Portions a really good size and filled us all up. Really good price too. Family of 5 able to eat a meal and be full for £32.

Always my first choice for chips when in Hunstanton , although disappointing when it’s not open , when we have come out of season

Came here whilst on holiday after reading the great reviews but must say after having the fish and chips we were left feeling slightly disappointed. The fish was mainly batter and the chips dry, expected better as they were cooked to order. Have had a lot better earlier in the year at Skegness.

The fish and chips were properly the best I’ve had near the sea in many a year. It’s clearly popular, being a long queue which was handled very quickly and efficiently. Even when busy the staff were friendly and polite. They offer a range of other snacks but fish and chips clearly a firm favourite. Well done everyone!

Seriously the best fish n chips around. My 5 yr old granddaughter loves them, tells me it’s her favourite ‘restaurant’ and I have to say it’s well worth the 60+ mile round trip for them and a couple of hours at Sunny Hunny! Staff are great, food is great and that makes my granddaughter happy, just brilliant!

The best fish and chips I’ve had in a while. Chips are so tasty and v generous portions, and the fish is delicious and a good fish to batter ratio - plenty of fish! Piping hot even when we got home. Brilliant.

I wish we had ignored all the good reviews, so bad I had to post. I can honestly say they are the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. Had we not taken away I would have taken back and demanded a refund. The haddock £7.90 was grey and tasted wrong and the cod, at £12 was not good. The weirdly, slippery and greasy chips £3.50 had no crisp at all and clung together with odd tasting fat that left a nasty after taste. Think this has actually put me off fish and chips for life.

Rang to order, food freshly made, hot and perfectly cooked. Staff were lovely and friendly, premises were spotless.

There are loads of people going here because it serves really great fish and chips! Be prepared to queue, but rest assured that it's worth it. Good size portions. Well organized so that you order food and then go and collect.

Family of 4, we all had haddock and chips. Fish was cooked fresh whilst we waited and was cooked well although the batter was a little greasy. The chips weren't very nice unfortunately, they were very dried out and bland.

They are ok but compared to supafry the fish is tiny, most of it was batter, the fish was extremely salty and greasy. I had to leave some. I really liked Sally’s but I don’t think I’ll return unless it’s the only one open.

Did a quick Google search for fish and chips whilst on holiday in Hunstanton and ended up at Sally's as it was the closest to our caravan. Not only were the fish and chips fantastic but also the cheapest we found in Hunstanton. Service was professional and very friendly - I had a nice chat with the guy taking orders on the way in.Beautiful crispy batter and delicious chips. Just wish my local chippy at home was as good. I had the haddock with the skin on and my wife had the cod, my haddock was very tasty and my wife loved the cod. The chips were just right. We used to go to a well known rivals but will be coming here from now. The staff are friendly and the food is great!

We walked across town to Sallys after reading the reviews and wow was it worth it. We each ordered haddock and chips with scraps and after a short wait we were given enormous pieces of fish, lots of chips and scraps and it was all delicious. We had skipped lunch but still couldn't manage all the chips! A long time ago, I had some chips in Hunstanton that I thought were the best I'd ever had. On our recent visit back to there, I decided to seek out the wonderful chips, fully expecting the chip shop to have disappeared or my memory to have exaggerated how nice the chips were. We retraced our steps and found Sally's which I recognised immediately. We ordered fish and chips and sat outside, in the sun and out of the wind. The chips were just as good as I'd remembered, if not better! The fish was delicious with a crispy batter. We both agreed it was the best fish and chips we'd ever had!

Wow, amazing fish & chips.We had parked nearby (the address on here is incorrect, it’s in Seagate Road, behind the fair), went for a walk along the prom & back & decided to have fish & chips when we got back. We sat outside as they have some benches & possibly had the best fish & chips ever! Visited here whilst staying nearby at Searles and was very impressed. Whilst the outside doesn’t look up to much the food was top notch. Between us we had chips, battered sausage and pineapple ring. The chips were perfect and the batter was too, golden and crisp. Very busy but plenty of staff so didn’t wait long. Chairs and tables available inside and out. Prices were very reasonable compared to home and portion sizes were generous. So good we visited again the following day.

Friends recommended Sally's and although on first site it did not look amazing as the food is served in boxes rather than on plates, we have to say they are the best fish and chips in Hunstanton and we have been coming here for a number of years. Truly excellent fish and chips, the fish was really fresh and the batter was crisp, very good chips too, well worth the effort to find it. The Trip Advisor map suggests Sally's is in the main part of town however, we couldn't find it and I had to go to the Tourist Information office for help. It is actually behind the fun fair at the other end of Hunstanton, very confusing!

The fish at Sally's is amazing. On the other hand, their chips are the best chips I have ever tried.

This is mainly a take away but they do have some indoor seating too. Thought the Fish was very tasty but rather small, encased in a lot of batter. Not offered a size of fish it was just "standard size when we visited. The chips were ok, mushy peas very dark and strong tasting. Thought the batter was a bit greasy and the meal was "repeating" on me the next day. Strictly average, IMO.

Been twice now and both times the fish and chips were fab - always fresh as they’re always busy. The lady serving was really helpful especially if people wanted to share portions! Definitely will visit again when we’re in hunstanton next.
