Sallys fish and chips in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Wonderful trip yet again. Haddock was massive and was spot on. Brilliant curry sauce,all served with happy staff (sally has a great team) See you all again soon.

I'm so glad to have discovered this little gem. I'm not sure I would have even found it had I not been a bit too nosey looking at caravans! Husband took a bit of persuading as he goes more on flash looks of places, fool! Don't be a fool, the cod and chips were fantastic. The batter was so light and crisp, I could have eaten that on its own it was so good. Everything is freshly cooked, the chips were really good too, husband said the mushy peas were some of the best he had ever had! Staff were very efficient and helpful. We will be back.

Absolutely delicious chippy definitely one of the best in the whole of East Anglia !!!! chippy chips how they should taste!!!! Gutted it’s will be closed weekdays now the summer holidays are over as a delivery driver all over east Anglia used every time when delivering out that way - now more chips for when delivering that way as none of the others In Hunstanton don’t know how to cook chips !! super fry is good but to slow the rest are terrible compared to Sally’s !!! Thank you for delicious tasting food all summer and prices are very good - hopefully open in October holidays all I’ll request my delivery’s to Norfolk so can eat there chips every day that week yummy

Lovely fish and chips and worth the walk from the town. We like to go to Sally's whenever we are in Hunstanton. Everything is cooked fresh, and the service is excellent. There is a small seating area inside and quite a few benches outside. It can get busy, but it's worth the wait.

You can’t go wrong with Sallys! I won’t go to any other chip shop in hunstanton as the service you get here is always 5* along with delicious food at a great price! Can’t ask for more tbh

We had a couple of drinks on a roof top bar on the front and then made it to Sally's for about 7.30 - fish was cooked to order which was haddock and then walked 2 mins to the sea front through the fun fair and sat with others doing the same thing watching the sun set. Much better than the offerings in town - one of which you will see in my other reviews. I can not fault Sally's apart from a little moan really about better info on the opening hours might of been helpful as the TA info is wrong. But I get the impression as like a lot of the offerings in town -if they are not busy then they just shut.

We always come to Sallys when we’re visiting Hunstanton. Never had any problems in the past, however this time the chips were very greasy and a little undercooked. The chicken burger I had was lovely. Fish was “ok” but greasy and my daughter’s chicken nuggets were pretty tasteless. Thankfully we got there quite early at 5pm as it was a Sunday and they were running out of everything, being the end of the week. The staff were lovely and friendly and coped with the pressure of so many order’s admirably. Hopefully it was just a one off. We will go back again.

Sally have u changed your oil and chips to a different brand. We used to love the beef dripping taste . Lat few times the chips have not been great but still love the place and service always good and with a smile x

We were staying in an Airbnb when we visited this shop. This was our first time buying fish and chips from there and they were excellent. Premises spotlessly clean and friendly and efficient service.

Best part of visiting Hunstanton is having lovely fish and chips from your favourite chippy. Had cod and chips curry sauce a pickled onions

Lovely friendly polite staff. Food always hot and cooked to perfection. This is the only fish and chips that I will go to when visiting Hunstanton. Most definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed

Final trip of 2023, and I must leave one final review. Hunstanton has many fish and chip shops, and everyone has a favourite. So why do i pick Sally's you ask? Wonderful staff Traditional fish and chips Excellent value For me, fish and chips are best served out of the papers with loads of salt and vinegar. Absolutely amazing!!!!! Fish was cooked very well and not greasy what so ever!!!! Portions a really good size and filled us all up. Really good price too. Family of 5 able to eat a meal and be full for £32.

Came here whilst on holiday after reading the great reviews but must say after having the fish and chips we were left feeling slightly disappointed. The fish was mainly batter and the chips dry, expected better as they were cooked to order. Have had a lot better earlier in the year at Skegness.

The fish and chips were properly the best I’ve had near the sea in many a year. It’s clearly popular, being a long queue which was handled very quickly and efficiently. Even when busy the staff were friendly and polite. They offer a range of other snacks but fish and chips clearly a firm favourite. Well done everyone!

Seriously the best fish n chips around. My 5 yr old granddaughter loves them, tells me it’s her favourite ‘restaurant’ and I have to say it’s well worth the 60+ mile round trip for them and a couple of hours at Sunny Hunny! Staff are great, food is great and that makes my granddaughter happy, just brilliant!

I wish we had ignored all the good reviews, so bad I had to post. I can honestly say they are the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. Had we not taken away I would have taken back and demanded a refund. The haddock £7.90 was grey and tasted wrong and the cod, at £12 was not good. The weirdly, slippery and greasy chips £3.50 had no crisp at all and clung together with odd tasting fat that left a nasty after taste. Think this has actually put me off fish and chips for life.

Visited here after reading other reviews and I just say this places was by far the best fish and chips shop in Hunstanton. The fish was huge and tasty and the chips were nice and fresh. I would decently recommend trying here.

Family of 4, we all had haddock and chips. Fish was cooked fresh whilst we waited and was cooked well although the batter was a little greasy. The chips weren't very nice unfortunately, they were very dried out and bland.

Did a quick Google search for fish and chips whilst on holiday in Hunstanton and ended up at Sally's as it was the closest to our caravan. Not only were the fish and chips fantastic but also the cheapest we found in Hunstanton. Service was professional and very friendly - I had a nice chat with the guy taking orders on the way in.Beautiful crispy batter and delicious chips. Just wish my local chippy at home was as good. I had the haddock with the skin on and my wife had the cod, my haddock was very tasty and my wife loved the cod. The chips were just right. We used to go to a well known rivals but will be coming here from now. The staff are friendly and the food is great!

We walked across town to Sallys after reading the reviews and wow was it worth it. We each ordered haddock and chips with scraps and after a short wait we were given enormous pieces of fish, lots of chips and scraps and it was all delicious. We had skipped lunch but still couldn't manage all the chips! A long time ago, I had some chips in Hunstanton that I thought were the best I'd ever had. On our recent visit back to there, I decided to seek out the wonderful chips, fully expecting the chip shop to have disappeared or my memory to have exaggerated how nice the chips were. We retraced our steps and found Sally's which I recognised immediately. We ordered fish and chips and sat outside, in the sun and out of the wind. The chips were just as good as I'd remembered, if not better! The fish was delicious with a crispy batter. We both agreed it was the best fish and chips we'd ever had!

Wow, amazing fish & chips.We had parked nearby (the address on here is incorrect, it’s in Seagate Road, behind the fair), went for a walk along the prom & back & decided to have fish & chips when we got back. We sat outside as they have some benches & possibly had the best fish & chips ever! They even had scraps, which I hadn’t had since a teenager - so so good.The fish was beautiful & the chips were just right.
