Initially great communication on booking esp as I wasn’t getting confirmation from family. However, all clarified 3 days before we were due. Really quirky place, didn’t know where to look for bits and pieces but loved it. Although being a nurse, I had to hide by eyes from dust, dirt and hair - thankfully tables were clean and kitchen looked clean as well. It is dog friendly, which is great and I did inform them I have a big dog who will curl up in a corner. Arrived with family, staff were out back in the kitchen. Waited a bit to be seated and was shown to a tiny table for 2, next to fire guard with nowhere for my dog to sit. Asked to go the just vacated corner table. Sally (presume, as knew everyone and was cooking and serving) approached us saying ‘only booked for 2, advised it was always 3 but happened to be a change in menu chose. This chose benefitted them, financially. I didnt bother arguing, but did check my messages and she had confirmed everything. Anyway, drinks served and then noticed a small sign by the cash till saying ‘cash only’. I was not advised this on booking or anywhere on fb page. This meant I had to borrow my sister cash card and drive 10mins to Tesco to get cash. On return, cold latte awaited with my sister placing saucer over the top. Food came out. We had high tea, freshly made, so much and really delicious. We had to remind them about the sandwiches for myself and my sister as they never came out with everything else. They were attentive and friendly once the food came out. I am in 2 minds whether to go back again as the welcoming and cash incident did affect my opinion. I would have to be consider who I took there as know my mum would not like the cleanliness. However, as said food was amazing.

Booked ahead a High Tea for family of 5, what a great service we had and plenty of food, all so tasty and the scones were so impressive. Nothing was too much trouble for Sally Ann the staff and there was a genuine want to make it such a good experience for us, going above and beyond. Thank you - the children really enjoyed it.

Sally Ann was kind enough to make a lovely high tea for my family when celebrating our anniversary. Delicious, well filled sandwiches, quiche, a selection of yummy cakes and oh my goodness the most amazing scones ever!! They were monsters, and so, so tasty. A huge thank you for the friendly and lovely service. Will always visit again when in the area.

Lovely fresh sandwiches and cakes all boxed up and ready when I collected them. I look forward to being able to eat in the cafe again when the lock-down is over.

Was recently recommended to try this tearoom. Looked on their social media page to check opening hours and turned up today without a booking. ( it didn't say you need to book or just do roast dinners on a Sunday). Myself and 80 year old mother travelled purposely from great yarmouth and were treated like we had just landed from another plant. There was a hand written sign placed behind a pumpkin at floor level that was partly covered but said they were fully booked. We were disappointed but I thought beings we had travelled so far and I could see one table wasn't being used, I would enquiry anyway. When I opened the door everybody was eating and I must say the food smelt lovely but everyone just stopped and looked at us as if I had grown another head!. What seemed like several seconds one of the ladies on the table who were eating finally asked, "if I can help you". I said I thought you might be booked but was there any chance of a table. One of the other ladies eating with her and several others on her table, looked at each other and did get up to look at her book, but the worse part of the experience was a Gentleman ( and I use the term loosely), said mumbling under his breath but loud enough so I could hear, "There's a big enough sign outside telling you we are fully booked". I heard him and answered back that we had travelled all the way from Great yarmouth and thought we would try. The lady to be fair who was checking her bookings asked if we were going to have a roast dinner and I replied, no we hadn't planned on a roast. She politely explained that they only do roasts on a Sunday ( doesn't say on their Facebook page). I said thank you and we would try another time. Thinking about it I wouldn't ever return because the gentleman!!! Wasn't friendly and quite rude with his comments and I got the impression that the place is very clicky. Everybody looked like they were enjoying their meal, to be fair I can't judge on the food and by all accounts the food etc is supposed to be very good, but woe betide you if you turn up without a booking but don't mind having sarcastic comments thrown at you.

We booked lunch, as it was a friend’s birthday. We were not disappointed, the special was sea bass, which just happens to be the favourite of the birthday girl. It was excellent, served with lovely fresh vegetables; new potatoes, sprouting broccoli, French beans and carrots. Excellent food, friendly people couldn’t ask for more

Now sitting outside the tearoom, after eating a generous portion of cake and drinking a latte. The cake was lovely. Our dog was spoilt too, by being given a little treat. A lovely little gem. Go visit, the staff are very welcoming. 😊

As the Covid 19 lock-down was slightly relaxed we thought a takeaway roast dinner would make a nice change. The dinners were ready and waiting when we arrived to collect them. Lovely big meals with plenty of meat, six different vegetables, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding. Everybody was completely full. I can thoroughly recommend Sally Ann's roast dinners.

Refreshing tea and cake stop after a three hour journey. I come from a town and it nice to see a tearoom that wasn't commercialised. There were alot of visual signs of love within the cardshop which spoke volumes about the type of place it was. In conclusion, I think this is for people who want a break from the rush of life and to spend time with people.

My friend & I visited this tea room to have a nice cuppa, piece of cake & a good old chat & catch up because we hadn't seen each other for a long time & as soon as we walked in the door a little voice came from the kitchen greeting us & out popped a lovely friendly dark haired lady(Sally I think) to take our order so my friend & I sat up the corner & started chatting but was interrupted by a little girl who was asking us questions, she went away & returned & asked us if it was our zimmer frame up the corner & when we replied no she dragged a chair from our table so she could get the frame out but dragging the tablecloth & spilling my tea whilst getting this frame out! There was no staff about at this point, & the little girl returned later with a blonde slim lady, possibly mum & came to our table again but staff were possibly in the back again & then about 10 minutes before closing time the little girl returned again to our table with a large sponge wiping our table & I told her to be careful because she was knocking into our mugs! So my friend & I decided to finish our conversation in the car park! Couldn't believe there was very little supervision during the four times she came to our table! However, the cakes are nice & so too is the tea room & I will probably visit here again.

Sally Ann’s Is a lovely quaint place we’re the food is of a high standard and produced with care. The only thing that will improve this place in my opinion is that’s when you enter the tea rooms it would be nice to be welcomed. We were left to sit and wait for quite a long period not knowing what was needed of us In regards to ordering etc. Was we needed to go to the till or was it table service ? please don’t think that the staff or owners are rude this just isn’t the case it maybe that they were to busy to do the formalities. But after contact was made we were made very welcome and was pleased with the level of service and food. We would definitely return if we were local again.

Took a short break from house hunting to find an oasis of friendly people that know how to cook, all home produced and made to order. Hopefully will become a local refreshment spot as a house in the village was acquired after our stop at the tea room. Well done to the two “Sally Ann’s”.

Quaint little tea room within a garden centre. Nothing posh but good home cooking and great service with friendly smiley ladies. Toilet has been broken a couple of times and not that pleasant. A shame as it lets Sally Anne's down.

Booked for a Sunday lunch today. After waiting at the table I realised I would need to go find a menu as there was not one on the table and no one came. Went up and ordered food and although I ordered toasted was brought cheese and tomato sandwich instead. We didn’t bother complaining as it looked and tasted very nice. Freshly made and plenty of it. We ordered scones and cream which were ok. On going to pay we were asked to pay cash luckily I had some. The toilet was not pleasant lots of cob webs and spiders!! On visiting the plant nursery next door the lady came from cafe to serve us and made a derogatory remark about a disability (my daughter passed away last year and had this disability) I am positive she was trying to be friendly but perhaps should choose her wording better. It is a shame that somewhere serving such nice food is let down by other aspects.

I recommended Sally Anns to my friend for her hen party as I had been before for a chunk of cake and a tea and enjoyed it. Several of the party were disappointed. The sandwiches were dry, the cakes were dull and not the usual standard that are for sale there and we were not able to sit where we wanted as the vegetarians and dairy free had to sit together, and the hot drinks seemed to be in short supply, we had to chase up for some of them and there was no chance of refills. Very disappointing experience. Nice place for a casual tea and cake but a let down for this event and I wish I hadn't recommended that my friend to go there on what should have been a special day for her.

As soon as you arrive you love the place. Welcoming, with chickens and geese wandering around outside. The cafe is quaint and charming. We sat right by the log burner. Wonderful. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Had a wonderful brie and bacon toastie. Great hot chocolate. Could not fault this place at all. My daughter had a cheese flan and loved it. Not the easiest place to find, my friends had no satnav or even a map, but it was worth the drive round the countryside! Excellent afternoon tea, sausage roll, crisps, 3 generous halves of sandwiches, prawn, cheese and egg. An enormous scone with jam and cream and sliced strawberries hidden in the cream. 2 additional cakes, citrus drizzle cake and a lovely moist cheesecake base with a Nutella topping. Very good friendly service, were offered frequent top ups of the tea pot. I though £12.95 was quite reasonable. I will return with hubby who has just seen the photo and would highly recommend this tea room.

I’ve been here for a few afternoon teas and lunches. The food is always lovely and cooked well, the themed afternoon teas are always really fun and a great treat for the local area. However the staff are not very attentive, they give you your food/drinks and leave you! It states unlimited drinks but they don’t ask if you need more, they don’t even check if your food is okay or if you need anything. At one point my friend said ‘excuse me’ and tried getting the attention of staff at the table next to us and the staff member just walked away, when we finally managed to ask for more tea they huffed like we were an inconvenience. There were also loads of hairs on our food, I think they were blowing around because they just kept appearing, maybe because they allow dogs. It’s a shame because I love the afternoon teas but it has put me off.

We were staying in wrentham for the weekend and called in for a pint on the Friday and saw that Saturday was a tapas evening. So we booked a table for Saturday. Both the food and service were excellent. We would definitely visit again when next visiting the area.

Sadly our recent visit didn't live up to expectations. 3 of our 4 diners had problems with their dishes. Whist we were offered replacements for the steak dishes it would have meant 2 of the diners would be eating their main courses at different times. Lets hope it was a one off experience. Disappointing as it was a birthday treat.
