Sakonis in Harrow

This was my third visit to Sakonis, and once again, I was impressed by the buffet. There are so many varieties to choose from, and the food quality is consistently very good. The service is always friendly, with staff welcoming guests with a smile, which adds a personal touch to the experience. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. On the other side of the restaurant, the lighting is very poor many of the lights aren’t working, making it quite difficult for older people to see comfortably. Additionally, the décor seems to have faded over time and could use some refreshing. Overall, great food and service, but the ambiance needs attention.

This buffet offers a great variety of food, especially for vegetarians definitely one of the best places to enjoy a vegetarian buffet. The pricing is reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and selection offered. They recently introduced tiramisu, and it has quickly become the star of the buffet absolutely delicious! The service was outstanding. Even though it was a buffet, they served fresh items right to our table upon request. Both staff members were exceptionally kind and attentive, especially toward our kids and grandparents. Their warm hospitality made our experience even more enjoyable.A big thank you to both girls for their excellent service. Keep up the great work. We will definitely be back soon with more friends!

We recently visited Sakonis Harrow, and the experience was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious you can really taste the improvement under the new management. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, all served hot and fresh. The service was excellent as well. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always serving with a smile, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the place could use a bit of refurbishment one of the sofas was broken and several lights were out. However, this didn’t take away from the overall great experience. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I went there with my friends for the first time and unexpectedly we got served with the authentic Indian food that was delicious and was freshly prepared. We experienced fabulous service by the two cute female staff with the specs. Overall an amazing experience with Sakonis food, staff, and the ambiance.

We heard that the original owners have taken over again, so we decided to give this place a try. We visited on a Thursday evening it was busy, but the food was absolutely delicious! There were many varieties in the buffet to choose from. The service was fantastic, with friendly staff who served us with a smile. Even though it was a busy evening, there was no rush for food and we didn’t have to wait for anything. Amazing guys well done

My first and last visit was not went well when someone spending money behind service and we didn’t get that than it was disappointing moment well we reached 2 hours before closing but mostly stuffings are empty we requested 3 -4 time to top up but no one top up . It’s waste of money don’t visit this restaurant.

Our last visit was very disappointing. We spent around £100, but the quality of service was extremely poor. Even though we requested more food toppings from the staff, no one responded. The manager also did not take our concerns seriously. If she believes she is managing well, it's quite the opposite—this was the worst management we've experienced during a dinner. This kind of service could damage the brand, and the owner needs to take it seriously. Hopefully, other customers won’t have to face the same experience. You should change your time on Google as well because you are closing at 9:30 pm not 10 pm

Too many varieties in buffet. For the price 12.99+ service charge per person, its really good deal for vegetarian lovers. Plenty of starters to pick at least 10 items. Out of them, 4 are extra ordinary taste. Reat of them good. Only few didn't liked.. Dont miss bathura on mains... Have pulav rice, kichidi (taste too good), pizza, noodles etc.. Not able to try all..but mostly tasty items... Dessert ia super, mango pulp and tirumasu (was okish).. Overall satisfactory food... only issue is too many calories pumping inside...once in a while its ok to cheat our body.... Dont try salty 🍦

Love this place. So much better than the other Sakonis. Proper authentic food. I had an email today saying this place has gone back to its original ownership, just hoping it not under the stuck up couple who own the Wembley branch. If it is then wait for it to go downhill.

We come here every week and it’s always an amazing experience.The buffet has an excellent variety, and the service is absolutely top-notch. Even though the restaurant is always busy, the two girls working here are just incredible their teamwork and energy are something we’ve never seen anywhere else. This branch is 100 times better than the Wembley one. We honestly love coming here just to see these two girls they really make the visit special! Keep it up guys

Showed up at 8:45, got refused entry. They close at 9:30? Not impressed with the attitude or service.

What’s the point of saying you close at 9:30 if you won’t let people in at 8:45? Poor hospitality.

Extremely disappointing experience. I arrived at 8:45 PM, and even though the restaurant clearly states it closes at 9:30 PM, I was refused entry. There was no sign or mention of a last entry time, and the staff made no effort to explain or accommodate. It’s frustrating when a place doesn’t honor its stated hours and turns away customers without courtesy. If the kitchen closes early or there’s a last seating cutoff, it should be communicated clearly—not sprung on guests at the door. Really expected better from a place with Sakonis’ reputation.

It was good experience on last sunday Staffs are very well organised and maintaining the restaurant. Food is very delicious and service is great. I appreciate to Nishant and hiren.

Multiple variety of option for starters and main course. Love peanut salad,mogo chips and thin crust pizza. But Undhiyu was very oilly as always and black eye beans was also too oilly. Paneer curry was cold and not upto the taste. They took much longer time to fill up shrikhand after mutiple reminder. Overall experience was good with very reasonable rate.

The choice of dishes is amazing and the service was great. Unfortunately despite choosing the ones marked as without dairy, I still ended up with a dairy reaction which was not pleasant. Hence the low rating.

For the Unlimited Lunch or Dinner it’s a good place to go. Food is good but can be better. I would still go to Sakoni in Harrow. My friend really enjoyed the food, the place & said he would come again with his other Friends.

We had a surprise party for our Aunt at Sakoni restaurant in Harrow yesterday and we were very happy with the service we received. They were very accommodating and the staff members were very polite. It was value for money and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

I recently visited this Indian restaurant with high hopes, given its central location and promising menu, especially for vegetarians. On the positive side, the vegetarian options were truly a highlight — flavorful, warm, and prepared with care. Each dish was a delight and well worth the price. The ambiance of the place and its convenient location added to the experience. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff and waiters were consistently rude and seemed to lack basic hospitality skills. Their moody and judgmental attitude created an uncomfortable vibe that overshadowed the otherwise pleasant meal. It’s a shame because the food was great, but the service really soured the experience. Overall, if you’re looking for tasty vegetarian options, this place delivers, but be prepared to deal with less-than-pleasant service. 3.6 stars feels about right.

Waste of money, never go to sakonis harrow. I buy panir bhurji sabjii take away. Only panir no gravy in sabji.

This is a Gujarati buffet restaurant charging £15.95 per person and has approx 40 items. Most are hot and fresh. The seating is showing it's age. The staff are all good. Drinks are extra and fairly priced. Our experience was spoilt by a noisy party of 50 who were constantly at the buffet and so it was noisy and not pleasant. Food was good not great. Nothing stood out. Might return in the daytime and see it has improved.

I attended a lunch event from a friend. I went there earlier too a couple of times. Except for food I don't like this place much. First of all, they allocate the same space for more than one group (each group approx 20+ ppl) at the same time which makes a lot of chaos and that too in peak lunch time and some individuals also join. This makes a shortage of food that time and dirty utensils. Despite requesting multiple times (5-6 times), no spoon was available for soup, no rice. They filled later by the time people were over with lunch somehow. Spoons and plates were very dirty. I asked multiple times but it seems they don't have enough quantity and have to clean and supply on runtime. I would be expecting, if they expect 60 people for lunch at the same time then they must have 200 spoons as backup. I won't deny that the food is good, but the service part needs to be improved. I hope they will work on this!!

The food was absolutely stale . After I ate yesterday .came home had stomach sickness and vomited and diahara. So no Sakony food anymore

We had the dinner buffet. Whilst the options were really good, it was all fresh (apart from masala dosa and naan, in the Kingsbury branch it’s made when you order it). However the layout of the restaurant is abysmal. How are you supposed to dine with 6 others in a booth and all eating a buffet?! You’re constantly getting up for someone else to get out, it’s a horrendous setting. The Kingsbury branch is much better because all the tables have chairs so people can easily get out. And the restaurant is just so dim and needs a refurb. Personally the Wembley and Kingsbury branch are much better.

Went for buffet and majority of the food was finished and wasn't replenished on time. We had drinks with our meals but they came towards the end of our meals. I could only rate it as such as we had the buffet. Could not give opinion on the food from menu and unlikely to go again to this Sakoni. I've heard better reviews at other Sakoni and buffet.

Same old. Food was tasty but they were purposely not topping up the most common buffet dishes. This has been a Sakoni’s tactic for years. Also, it felt like a buy one get two free as there were three parties crammed into one party area. Drinks came out late. Service was poor as we waited at the door for 15 mins and yet no one came to see us. It wasn’t until we grabbed the attention of one of the waiters did he say “oh I thought you were part of the other party”. I felt like saying “why do you think we would stand at the “please wait to be seated area?”. Three stars for the above reasons.

Name sounds Greek but it's an Indian cuisine restaurant with buffet and a la carte menu. The dishes were authentic, though north Indian dishes were less spicy; few British guests were there as well so very understandable why. Overall place was quite clean and staff was friendly and accommodating

Just ordered take away samosa chat for take away. It was the worst , every thing was cold even the samosa was still frozen from the middle

This place has changed significantly. Lot of improvements. We had buffet, lots of selection. They kept bringing in freshly cooked food. It does not matter what time you go as you will always get hot food. Reasonably priced buffet.

Since Harrow Sakonis is actually owned by Sakonis themselves, it's been an absolute game changer. The food tastes amazing, alot better than before. The service is phenomenal, always there to meet your needs. A special mention to Dhruvi and Nishant who are just truly to wonderful Souls and always make us feel extremely welcome. Congratulations to both of you for running the restaurant the way you do.

The food was outstanding - hot, fresh, and tailored to our requests. We appreciated the addition of paneer butter masala to the menu and the thoughtful provision of onion-garlic-free options for our guests. The staff deserves special praise for their politeness, cooperation, and attention to detail. They ensured our event was seamless and enjoyable. The veg buffet spread was impressive, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the variety of dishes. We were also grateful for the generous 3-4 hour time slot allocated for our party. Every dish was really enjoyable. Great sauces and chutneys to ensure that the food meets your bland/spicey choice. Good evening out with the wife for about £20 (do leave a tip for the fantastic staff)

If you are from Gujarat, this place is the worst. No real Gujarati taste. Tasteless. The old food may be stale. The naans were not fresh; they seemed to be from Tesco or Sainsbury's. The aam-ras was not authentic; it seemed to be yellow-coloured milk. The shrikhand was even worse, made from cheap-quality yoghurt and sugar.

We had a family gathering there. It is very spacious and the food is delicious. We had a wonderful time.

Tried this place recently with a friend, and went back again a couple of days later! Really good, tasty vegetarian food. Could maybe do with a little more range, but it's very tasty and affordable. Like many buffets, the could do with paying a little more attention to hygiene...it's not dirty at all, but with so many people opening and closing the food dishes, they could stay on top of keeping it clean a bit more.
