Saint Espresso is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee in a stylish yet cozy setting. Tucked away from the usual coffee chains, this independent café delivers expertly crafted brews with a focus on rich flavors and smooth textures. The espresso here is bold and well-balanced, with deep notes that highlight the care put into their bean selection and roasting process. Their flat whites are especially impressive—silky, well-textured, and just the right balance of espresso and milk. For non-coffee drinkers, they also offer a selection of teas and alternative milk options. Beyond the drinks, the atmosphere is a standout. The minimalist interior, with its clean design and warm wooden tones, creates a relaxed space perfect for working, reading, or catching up with friends. The service is friendly and efficient, making each visit feel welcoming. If you’re looking for a specialty coffee spot that prioritizes quality and craftsmanship, Saint Espresso is a fantastic choice. Whether you’re grabbing a quick takeaway or sitting in to enjoy the ambiance, this café delivers a consistently great experience. Highly recommended! And Vishnu - The manager of the store is a ⭐

One of the best independent coffee shops in London. High quality product with excellent baristas, would recommend highly if you are in the area.

Amended following response Drinks menu needs to be made clearer. Doesn’t show cappuccinos and lattes (looks as if they are iced only only)… I therefore ordered the only option which was a ‘white coffee’… and was given a black coffee with a milk carton to add my own milk. May as well have got it free from a machine. If they make the menu clearer I’ll retract my poor review.

The pistachio croissant was stale and hard as a rock and I am talking about Monday morning! Coffee was ok, but hey ho, if you need to sit down and work for a bit (and it is super noisy) this is what you get!

I went because I was nearby and it looked bright. Had a matcha latte with oat milk and an almond croissant. There was nothing savoury available at 3pm. Sadly, the croissant was stale and really awful. Matcha wasn't bad. Service was great.

It’s a coffee shop in the middle of the city and at peak times the newer female barrista with the shorter red hair, is so slow and prioritises chatting to her colleagues over making the coffee.. the queues are out of control. Which is a shame as it’s the best coffee within the area.

For those looking for a place to work on your laptop, no WiFi or loo available. Lovely atmosphere but for city workers there for quick meet up or coffee takeaway.

Great coffee and good to buy bags from. My only feedback is that the staff could be a bit more engaging and friendly. Have been helpful when discussing coffee to choose from.

The food is great. That’s weird that there’s no bathroom and no place to wash your hands before eating. At least a sanitizer would be good. But anyways I enjoyed the food

•Oat flat white £4.00 (oatly) •form little too flatly for flat white but acceptable •ratio of coffee and milk - good and strong It’s expensive compare to the other coffee shops but I would come back if I want to have decent coffee in St Paul’s area

Come here most days I'm in the office. Staff are always really pleasant. One barista has consistently made really great lattes ( was sad that I haven't seen them back for a while). However, all the staff have made good coffee. I've been probably around 3 times a week for several weeks and only had one mediocre coffee. Pretty good consistency. I really enjoy the milk that is used here .

Coffee is good. Pricing is hurriedness. Cortado do with a bit more oat milk is £3.8…. Because it’s served in a different cup and has 10ml more milk than in a small cup. People, get some sanity!

Went last night for a catch up with friends. Ordered meal set b for 2 and meal set v for 2. Outstanding food with perfect portion size. Jean was super friendly and welcoming, as was the rest of the team! Highly recommend and worth booking in advance as it was busy throughout the evening!

Having not been here for a very long time, I thought I'd try it. The bar is lovely, comfortable with reasonable decor. The staff friendly but not attentive and very slow. We had to go to the bar to order and waited nearly an hour for some bread and olives. The oil and vinegar we requested to accompany the bread never arrived! Nice place but probably won't return

Had a last minute 30th Birthday in the function room at The George. Had a fantastic night with great Guiness and Kareoke! The staff were extermly nice and everyone at the part had an amazing night. Huge shoutout to Daniel and the staff who took care of us and made sure everything was ready to go and all my guests were having a great night!

What a nasty experience. We booked the Teppanyaki restaurant at The Colony Club weeks in advance for our anniversary. It was meant to be a special night. My partner made the booking through OpenTable, and I was sent a separate email to confirm attendance. I accepted the invite. I read the policy. Nowhere in that email was I told that I would need a physical ID. If it was, I would have brought it. I almost always do. But this was a special occasion. I carried a small purse and was intentional about what I brought. On the night, traffic was bad due to road closures. We spent nearly an hour trying to get there and attempted to call the restaurant multiple times. Their phone didn’t even connect. No ring, no message, just dead. We finally got through via live chat and explained we were delayed. About ten minutes before arrival, we were told we would need a physical ID to enter. My partner had his. I had a digital copy of my passport, but they refused to accept it. What followed was the most humiliating and unpleasant encounter I’ve ever had at a supposed luxury venue. We were met at the door by a bouncer, a Black man, whose attitude and tone were immediately dismissive. He didn’t care about what we had to say. We explained everything calmly. We were polite. We weren’t causing a scene. But he looked at us like we were nobodies and spoke to us as though we didn’t deserve to be there. He didn’t try to help. He didn’t care that we had travelled nearly an hour and made a reservation. He just shut us down cold. We asked to speak to someone else. He said no. His exact response was, “You’re not going in.” And that was that. Eventually, someone named Diego came out. For the first time, I felt heard. He explained the situation clearly, calmly, and with respect. He told us about the ID policy and why the venue requires it. At least he had the decency to treat us like human beings. My heart genuinely felt lighter speaking to him. But by then, it was too late. We were still denied entry. We asked for a refund. Refused. We asked to reschedule. Refused. We left hungry, embarrassed, and completely disappointed. A waste of time, effort, and money. This isn’t just about being denied entry. It’s about how we were spoken to. How we were dismissed. How there was no care, no warmth, and no accountability. The Colony Club needs to review the way their security staff treat people!! You cannot claim to be a luxury establishment and have staff who lack basic emotional intelligence and people skills.
