Enjoyed coffee and snack in cafe, cappuccinos were good, then to supermarket shop, today there were new huge trolleys very spacious and surprisingly manageable after a few aisles, one petit lady wondered how she would reach down to retrieve the groceries and could see the difficulty, noticed quite a few bringing Homebase trolleys across, I did manage but as I shop often found it too large and a basket was too small, will check around and see next time if any normal sized options available.

Visited Sainsburys for few last minute food items, was not too busy so made a much needed coffee stop, service was good, ordered coffee extra hot and was delivered as requested, in a large beaker which seemed to retain heat better than a cup, choose a cinnamon whirl, and apple lattice pastry, definately would return.good value.

My mother was asked to fill in her contact details to have a cup of coffee in one of your coffee shops in Northern Ireland. This is unacceptable. She is not well and was upset when she returned home. SHAME ON YOU, @sainsburys

Lovely staff but fruit scone had 1 piece of fruit, obviously stuck on the outside. Jam would be an extra 50p. Tea was good and served in a teapot.

My friend and I have taken to go to this cafe after the gym. First time visit for me in January. Love the place! Prices are very reasonable, staff can’t do more for you and the food is yummy. ( baked potato with beans and salad is my favourite) Keep up the good work guys.

Run out of baguettes so offered a nap in its stead... not the same in anyone's mind but when we said no gravy but could we have cheese they then charged us an additional 70p for a couple of small bits of cheese. Cream tea and pavlova were fine as were the hot drinks. Would go back but avoiding extras... like a couple of pieces of cheese!

After shopping in supermarket, visited cafe for quick coffees, just one serving but he did excellent job. Cappuccino and latte were hot as ordered, was delighted to find Portuguese Tarts, which were best tasted out of Portugal. Good value at £6.40. First visit here but if those little creamy tarts are still on offer can see it becoming a regular thing.

Visited on a Monday afternoon, not overly busy aisles all clutter free and best of all no dreadful music noise, hence spent quite awhile, got everything required. Well stocked shelves and fresh fruit and veg. Make a point of calling here if in vicinity, worth it today. Used self check out, trouble free . Ample free parking available.

Called this morning for coffee with a friend. The restaurant was quite busy but didn't have to queue long. Ordered a tea cake which we asked to be toasted. We took our drinks to the table and waited for the tea cake to be served. Ten minutes later we were still waiting. Other people were served around us, so after another 5 minutes or so I went to the counter to ask about the delay, as our drinks were no longer warm. The young guy said they had been very busy with orders and would check. No offer of drinks to be refreshed. A few minutes later our tea cake arrived, however our drinks were cold and almost finished. Really not impressed. Sainsburys in general seems to have taken a downturn, with less staff around and many shelves in the main store left empty. Apparently the powers that be think this is improving customer experience. I'm sorry guys you are so wrong!

We chose to go to buy a quite expensive item here because I had some vouchers redeemed from EON as part of my paiments. Got the item and went to the checkout only to be told that they dont take vouchers. Surely they should honour vouchers if there name is on as accepting them. Thats my last visit.

After shopping on a Saturday, we have coffee and a toasted tea cake. The staff are friendly and offer great service. Their prices are also excellent. I would highly recommend stopping for a coffee break. The only negative are the lazy folk that do not clear their table.

I am a big Sainsbury's fan but this one leaves a fair bit to he desired. There are often problems with availability and quality in the fresh vegetable department, the butchery and fish counters are not particularly attractive and more often than not, there is a serious problem with the checkouts - so slow and the attendant free checkouts are often not working, like today. They really do need to pull their socks up.

Just visited Sainsbury's cafe for the 2nd time. First time I went was when it first opened and I wasn't impressed. Thought I would give it another go as it may have improved. Sadly it hasn't. Choice was okay cafe itself is what you would expect but the place appeared exceptionally short staffed and the poor girl that served us hadn't a clue what she was doing and hadn't worked there long. It seemed incredible that no one was there to supervise her. My wife had a baked spud or something and said it was fine. I had chips and sausage and something, it reminded me of something you got in a greasy spoon cafe in the 70's. Tea and coffee was nice but not a great experience overall.

The disabled car parking is situated at the far end of the car park, while I note that there are an abundant number of parking spaces reserved for mothers and kids they probably buy more than the elderly and disabled.I thankfully am neither disabled or elderly but if the car parking spaces were swapped around there would possibly be less over weight young mothers with obese offspring.Thank you Sainsbury for being so thoughtful.

Went in for some fish & chips on a busy Monday night, the girl on the counter had just started working there, she had no clue what to do, not her fault, she had no supervisor, or anyone to call, for help. Another lady appeared, she was lovely, but herself had just started, & was trying her best to learn on the job.The food arrived after quite a long time, over 40 minutes, it was delivered to our table by the cook, himself, he explained that they had only 3 staff, all only been working there less than 40 hours, & had been left in the lurch, with not much of a clue what to do, no supervisor or anything. The food was terrible, frozen fish, still frozen, we felt so sorry for the staff, as they were obviously trying their best, but just couldn't handle the rush. The man told us it was his last night, & he was quitting as the place was a 'nightmare.' You think Sainsbury's will all the millons in profits, they make each year, could spend some time & money training their staff. Sorry but myself & my family will never be back, hope the really nice cooking bloke, got sorted, & really did quit his job, I would never work in that mess, no matter what.Bad bad show,Sainsbury's

Very ordinary. It could be any supermarket cafe. There is nothing special about it - tea, coffee, cakes - the usual. No waiter service and somewhat disinterested serving staff. Fine for a quick cup of tea if you are visiting Bangor Sainsbury's but not much more.

Always disappointed in this cafe. Everything feels half hearted. To be fair I have only ever had coffee and snacks here and no hot food but that is because the snack food has been so average that it puts me off trying anything cooked. I've tried the muffins and cake several times and they have always felt like yesterdays. The scones have been hard. If the coffee was tasty i would go in just for that,,, but it's sadly not.

A friend and I went in for a light bite before shopping. The two staff members were finding it hard to cope with serving, reheating and delivering, on top of having to be asked to clear and clean tables that should have been cleared by previous customers (signs ARE there to advise customers that tables are to be cleared by the customer). When the food arrived ... (if it could be called that) ... it was presented ... all over the plates, thrown on, all the same beige colour and luke warm. The cutlery was dirty with baked on previous food, it was a lucky dip to find nearly clean cutlery and they forgot to give my friend her tea. She got it after she had finished her meal and after she asked for it.All in all, my stomach is agreeing with my review at this present time.

again we find ourselves hungry, at lunchtime and in reed of feeding! There was not much choice here@ Hollywood, so we popped into Sainsbury's and had a Pleasant surprise, the eating area was clean tidy and welcoming with a choice of type's of seating from Formal table and chairs to a couple of comfy leather sofas and other easy chairs, because we decided on a cooked meal it was the table and chairs for us. The meal was choosen from a good choice some oId favourites to a wider choice . Food arrived Quickly and was obviously cooked fresh, and was very good, my fish was hot, fresh and very tasty. Choice of puddings were a bit poor but the was a dairy free choice for me . So it was a good lunch, Competitive priced, and good service.

This place is a favourite for my folks who like to go for a brew, some fruit toast and to catch up on some reading. I thought maybe it was just because it is cheap and very close to home but on a recent visit I can see why it's more than that. The cafe offers plenty of seating which is very comfortable but can often get very busy. The espresso coffee is good quality an the selection of hot meals and snacks are bonus in addition to the pre-packed sandwiches, salads and cakes.I think the main thing that stood out for me was the friendliness of the staff; everyone I encountered over my 2 recent visits were helpful and incredibly friendly. This is something hat my parents commented on before hand and even mentioned that after one enquiry quite a while ago, the manager still recognises them and comes over to say hello. I think it is points like that which makes 'just another supermarket cafe' into part of the community, so keep it up!

I noticed 3 staff working in the cafe and a small queue of 2 customers in front of me. Several tables were not cleared and remained uncleared until I left 20 mins later. Staff were friendly and polite but constantly ignored dirty tables just walking past them.My coffee was very lazily made. Hence my coffee was very poor. I can't comment on on the food but if the coffee and cleanliness are anything to go by I wouldn't expect much.Overall very disappointing and I won't be visiting the cafe here again.

I called into Sainsburys café with my husband on Saturday & wasn’t expecting much – after all it is just a supermarket café....how wrong was I?!It had a good range of hot food & also sugary treats. I opted for their luxury hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows (£2.05) & a lemon muffin (£1.55). My husband chose a slice of victoria sponge (£2.10) & a pot of tea (£1.00). There was no queue when we got there but my hot chocolate took some time to make & a queue of 4 had formed behind me. Another staff member walked over to the counter – I thought she was going to help serve the customers but she disappeared quite quickly. I felt awful that I was holding up the queue with my drinks order but no-one complained or tutted so that was a plus! The staff member preparing my hot choc apologised for the wait which was lovely of her.The lemon muffin was sweet & moist & would certainly stand up to anything served in Starbucks, Nero or Costa. The hot chocolate was really delicious & great value for money. The total bill came to £6.70 which is an unbeatable price for 2 people. The café is very spacious with a small area to leave your trolley. There are lots of standard tables & chairs around & a few comfy sofas.I will be going back to Sainsburys café again for sure as I want to get my hands on another lemon muffin!

So , we had come here before in February as a family of 6 adults - the staff were friendly, but my view was that the food was ok at best, the drinks were pricey and the layout meant people were always squeezing past - personally I could take or leave going back but wanted to try again to support local business. Roll forward to April - table was booked on the Friday for Sunday at 5 - got there only to find no booking and no space - even though evidence of the call was shown . Turned out better in the end as we went to Blue Chicago and had a cracking meal at about £50 less than the last one we had in Teddy’s - shame as would have liked to support a small local business, but unlikely to give this another chance.
