Staff to busy chatting rather than working and not very keen to help and food not well done

Waiting time wasn't terrible, around 5 mins to have our order taken. The glass of water didn't arrive with our meal. The food was decent however some parts, the sausage and bread came to us burnt. We waited 40 mins for our food which tasted fine, but the service however was very poor.

The food offering is fairly basic but good. Service is a little slow because there is usually one person taking orders, preparing drinks and taking money. Is it possible to have an 'atmosphere' in brightly lit canteen-style surroundings? I think not!

Breakfast. Although the young staff were helpful, the food was cooked poorly. Dry overcooked bacon, warmed up beans, the cheapest sausages, also overcooked, one properly cooked egg, soggy laid flat toast. I paid extra for a second half of a tomato, extra toast a second egg, which arrived on a cold side plate, scrambled. I received a discount for the loss of mushrooms, which they had run out of, but not on the shelves. The tea had something sparkling in it, so was pleasantly replaced. An unpleasant eating experience which was almost doubled in price for the extras I ordered. They should know that a cup of tea is a standard, not an extra, and that if you sell good quality sausages they ought to be provided to the kitchen A full English breakfast? No wonder the rest of the world are unimpressed with English food.

If waiting 20 minutes whilst surrounded by uncleared tables for your cold English breakfast to arrive is what your looking for, then look no further. If you want something edible that doesn't involve rescheduling your day to accommodate the wait, go elsewhere. A pretty poor formula for running a cafe that Sainsbury's clearly have no interest in altering as it hasn't improved since my last visit years ago.

Ordered breakfast .hard broken egg .scrappy bacon ,mushroom cold.there is no way they have a competent person sending this standard out.any cook would be appalled

Soooo slow, not even a rush of customers. It's been like this for quite a while now not sure if it coincided with a management change, but now even on quiet days you can be waiting for 45 mins for hot food. The food is up to Sainsbury standards and great when it eventually arrives!

Good food and drink and reasonable prices. Service is fast and friendly.

Had a small bites breakfast this morning( along with a normal breakfast) and 2 mugs of tea , it was very tasty , 1 slice of brown bread with an egg ,sausage , hash brown and baked beans. Was £12.20 in total I quite enjoyed it and the cafe was nearly empty .The tables had recently been cleaned and there was enough space between tables .

Hardworking people, especially the one in the front left to do everything while the others chat at the back! I don’t understand people complaining, it’s is not a restaurant, if you don’t like it go somewhere ,else or here’s the idea -Cook at home! Many customers are beyond rude, not compassion, ungrateful, spoiled! Seems many comes there just to argue with the poor workers. When it’s shut, which won’t be long, u would have no choice but eat only panini and lattes and u have no right to moan!

Tuna and sweetcorn jacket potato more like soup.disgusting. coffee bitter, slow service

Had what was supposed to be tomato and basil soup. It was not soup it was tinned chopped tomatoes with basil. I could not have a brown roll apparently they only do white bread!!

Reasonable ham egg n chips, cracking mug of tea

Wow. So asked if they do fried bread. The reply was , no we don't serve unhealthy food?? No probs, other than slight embarrassment. So ordered the breakfast with processed meat lol and we'll!!!!??? Shouldn't have bothered. Cold beans, rubber for an egg, over done Sausages, bits of broken fatty bacon. Politely asked for a hot breakfast with a fresh egg and decent bacon. To get told, maybe I should eat else where..I simply just won't visit again. Shame

Awful soggy breakfast burnt bacon 2 slices welded together rest cold and wet toast was waterlogged

Food AND drinks were disgusting and undercooked. Friendly staff member behind counter though.

There was tables that still had dirty cups etc on our food was slow coming out... one table had there food before our as they ordered there's like 10 mins after mine...

Clean, food and beverage was good, staff was well presented clean tidy even men had net covered hair. For supermarket was very good.

Fantastic experience. The staff were amazing and so helpful with allergen information. They even made something different to suit my son's needs which was so nice of them. Was really clean and tidy. The food is reasonably priced and lovely quality. It wasn't packed with people either which was nice. I will definitely be returning to have food and also meeting friends for coffee here as it was such a lovely environment.

Staff helpful but management is haphazard, not really that clean and it didn't seem that busy.

Have been a few times in the past food was ok, however, went before Christmas never again. Ordered Christmas dinner some of it was inedible. Don’t expect much as it is a supermarket cafe but sprouts were so hard when I tried to cut it, it flew of the plate as was still frozen in middle. Meat was cold and gravy was so weak and runny it looked like cold tea. My hubby had meat pie and mash, which had been scooped out with same spoon used for sprouts as it had sprout leaves underneath. This was cold as well.

Good, reasonable food. Very polite and friendly staff. Normally a number of tables free at any one time. Cutlery clean but often has water stains. Staff always busy, so can be sometimes slow at clearing tables.

We went here for breakfast yesterday waited in the que for 15 minutes and then received our breakfast 25 minutes later one sausage was warm the other cold and the egg wasn't cooked. From cook to cook sainsburys you need a new one. Also the coke machine wasn't working surprisingly so we had to pay over £2 each for a bottle of coke absolutely disgraceful I wouldn't even give it 1 star

Awful experience. Rude staff disgusting food.

Served quickly by friendly staff. Found on arrival the cafe had a managers special. Burger, chips and salad for £3.25. The burger was to a good tasty standard.

Rubbish food! Was all cold burger looked like it fell on the floor! Eggs were under cooked, service was horrible they couldn’t care less! 0 stars presentation of food was rubbish run by monkeys scratch that monkeys will be able to to a better job!!!!!

They swapped my sweet potato fries for chips and hoped I would not notice.

A poorly run cafe outdone at every turn by a greasy spoon, Menus on the tables are non existent instead you are treated to a large board behind the counter with small writing, Their "Mega Brunch" while being large is served with a child's portion of chips, When I declined the Tomato I was asked if I'd like something else instead when I said I'd like an extra rasher of bacon I was told no but I could have a Mushroom making the offer of "something else" null and void (why offer a choice when there clearly is none?)? On collecting some cutlery I found it to be wet and had to dry it myself, I also found the Mushroom on my plate was large it was also swimming in some kind of fluid (see photo), I also discovered a Green Pea in my baked beans, To be honest I don't rate this place at all avoid at all costs and go anywhere but here I only gave it one star to start the review and they are lucky to get that imo.
