Sainsbury's Café in Poole

Me and my Nan came to have lunch to celebrate hers and my late grandads 44 year anniversary, and we were left disappointed. Firstly, my nan couldn’t have a decaf tea as there was “no water” and she could only have coffee or hot chocolate. Secondly we wanted to order the sausage and mash however there was no mash and we had to have chips instead. When the food arrived it was luke warm and there was HAIR in both our food.Nan asked to speak to the manager and we found it funny as they managed to give her a cup of decaf tea to say sorry even though there was no water. 😂 Absolutely disgusted, we do not recommend.

I've always found their food top quality everybody has a bad day. The breakfasts are lush.

Decent food, quick service and reasonable prices.

Nice breakfast but I have to knock off a few stars for the burnt toast! The breakfast came out lightning fast and the service at the till was lovely. I'm sure it was a one off, so I'll be back and hopefully I can improve the rating.

Used to meet a friend here regularly before lockdown, when it was a pleasant place to spend an hour or two. Over the past year though, we have often gone elsewhere, as this has a basic cafe feel now and the two ladies behind the counter aren't very friendly. A nice big cup of tea or coffee with some positive customer service would make all the difference for us.

Delicious breakfast excellent value and super friendly staff! A winner every visit!

I was famished and ordered Scampi & Chips. Good value for the price and very pleasant.

Very quiet cafe which was nice. Cheese toastie was lovely alongside a latte. Cafe was clean and staff were friendly

Basic but clean and tidy cafe set within store. Appears very popular at times and there can be somewhat of a wait. Food is nothing to shout home about but it is clean and cooked fresh. The children seem to like it and it is handy having a child's menu for them. Basic, cheap, clean and friendly, what's not to like.

I had my grandson as their mother was going to the Dr's with his sister so sat and had a drink there.

Good value.decent food. Omelette lacks goos amount of filling.

Hands down, best Supermarket breakfast out there and at a decent price.

Very poor selection of food at 1pm on a Saturday, loads of dirty empty cake display No fizzy pop selection only over priced bottles .very under staffed!

It was clean and food was nice.

Came in for breakfast what a mistake to make the assistant couldn't care less.. Food ordered we go to get cutlery no teaspoons no napkins knives and forks dirty. 20 mins later food arrives both look the same when we ordered different. Check receipt been charged for 2 big breakfasts when 1 should have been bitesize.. Food only just warm didn't complain in store as like I said assistant couldn't care less.. Definitely won't be going back and 12.90 charged.. Not a happy customer

Nice friendly staff , cafe clean , bit overpriced for average food that's not fresh as it's only Sainsbury's microwave own brand food that served

The food was not expensive and surprisingly good simple dishes.

Very good service I don't do dairy so they made me scrambled egg without milk. The only thing I can say was the air con was on and it was quite chilly in there.

Great friendly fast cafe service in a clean environment. Cakes and croissants looked very inviting. However cafe coffee not the best quality for the price. Cafe has limited comfortable seating otherwise school type chairs and tables are the order of the day with a view of the uninspiring stock of parked shopping trolleys and vast vista of the carpark.

My friend and I were in the cafe this morning and we were in the queue for 15 minutes I felt sorry for the young man who was serving because he was on his own and there was a young girl who was bringing out trays of food and her long hair was not covered up by a hat very unhygienic.

Quick and friendly service. Downside tiny paper straws for smoothies, so had to use spoon!

I love this cafe as it's local, has decent prices and an atmosphere that's hard to beat. They do a lovely mocha and the food is tasty and substantial.

They do cortado coffee and fresh bananas. Sorted!

I have a problem getting off the toilet and the drop down hand rail is lose I tell the supervisor every time I visit the cafe it has been over a year and it has still not been fixed.

The cafe here at sainsbury is a great place to take a break from shopping, or to just pop in for a drink and/or something to eat.

Very good value for money, but very basic menu.

Long queues,not cosy,simple choice of hot food but sandwiches and drinksmight have been the same prices as just 2m from it offered in cold shelves of Sainsbury 😉

Grabbed a pot of tea for £1.80 Bargain! Managed to get 3 cups out of it! Winner.

Food fine but I think it was a bit short staffed.

The tea is OK and they do have soya milk but you wait absolutely ages to get served even if there's no queue the staff ignore you!

Never enough staff in the cafe.

Lovely meals,enjoyed fish chips and peas,with a latte.

Unfortunately the breakfast was almost cold and not up to the normal standard you expect from Sainsbury.Have been lots of times and always good.Did not complain at the as was in a hurry .Thanks Malcolm

As the magnificence that once was Sainsbury wanes evermore month on month, a few young staff in the cafe struggle on despite apparent staff & menu shortages.

Lovely freshly cooked fish the batter realy crispy. well cooked chips. Exalant food. Well done staff great food.

A friendly place for a lovely coffee

Absolutely awful staff really ignorant 12 lunch time Monday no omelette god sake your a Sainsbury's. No pie and mash so gave up with food had hot chocolate which was like warm NEVER AGAIN THANK YOU SAINSBURY'S

Enjoyed a 'Bigger Breakfast' which arrived hot and with not too long a wait, service was friendly, no complaints.

Cafe assistant was on her own taking orders and making the drinks. Made service very slow but she did very well and still had time to smile.

Quite expensive for what you get really and you have a long wait for cooked meals which are mainly batch cooked apart from eggs and maybe chips. It comes out hot and is usually very good to eat.
