35 minute wait for a luke warm, rubbery over cooked breakfast with rock hard hash brown, two eggs that managed to be both chewy AND have runny egg white, an anaemic sausage, and about 6 beans. No toast. They apparently had no bread and didn't care. The bacon was like cardboard. They didn't give a damn when I pointed out this wasn't really good enough, and literally shrugged and walked off. I was starving and will eat anything but this was crap. I remain hungry and paid for the privilege.

Ordered two fish and chips, served to us in around 3 Mim, Fish dry , horrible. More food on the floor in the Cafe, then on the plate. The place is always dirty, where is the Manager. Broom and a brush could help. I have now given up on this rotten Cafe.

Met with a friend for coffee, we quite often meet here. No coffee available only tea or hot chocolate. Most tables that were empty needed cleaning and floor around them. Bright sunshine showed the windows are in need of some attention very dirty and not just a few days dirt I would say weeks or even months. Very disappointing will have to look for another cafe.

Horrendous service - got to the cafe today at 2:30 (plenty of time before closing) to be told they aren't serving food anymore? And that all they could offer is a panini or toastie with one vegetarian option and no vegan options.... as we are sat with a cup of tea etc. People are still getting served hot meals ....?!?! So leads me to believe that this is just an excuse to get out at 3 rather than serving until 3 as stated.... person who served also had less charm than a robot...

Cold tea even after returning for more 'alleged' hot water. Cheap beans, cheaper tasteless sausages, over done egg. Best thing on the plate was the toast. My advice is you go somewhere else for breakfast.

Had the misfortune of ordering breakfast, cold food and may as well be sat in a fridge the place was so cold, not very clean either, bad enough eating cold food but to sit shivering as well was an insult, needless to say I wont be back.

NO CHANGE. Looking at the previous fish n chips pic and todays poor attempt.....CHIPS were golden and fluffy and amazing. NOW chips were simply a disgrace. FISH was freshly cooked in golden batter but NOW its another disgraceful attempt. PEAS were green and fresh and tasty but NOW they were a dirty green colour and looked like the cheapest and oldest ones chosen. PLEASE SEE THE PIC OF AFTER (top) and BOTTOM (below)

Had to clean the tables and the chairs before sitting down. Lots of uncleared tables and the floor needed a sweep. Only had tea & coffee wouldn't recommend eating there until they get their cleaning regime sorted.

The fish (not cod!), chips & peas (they no longer have mushy peas? It's supermarket for gawds sake!) were ok. Small portions though. Prices compared to what they sell next door are expensive too.

BEFORE Covid it was 10/10 for ordering at least 50 times the fish n chips lunch. AFTER its reopening, 27th June 2021, it has now achieved a FAIL. How could Sainsburys management go to this level of cost-down.. A big big disgrace. Now we are off to ASDA Coryton for our brekky and lunch. LOOK AT the before AND after pics. BEFORE had superb fluffy chunky chips + superb freshly made fish in fluffy batter. AFTER was pathetic pre-soaked hardly-cooked fries WITH probably a FROZEN FOOD STORE quality value fish coated in fluffy stuffing with a mediocre batter. SAD and VERY VERY DISSAPOINTING. The VEGETARIAN LASAGNE also FAILED. Was just a concoction of tomatoes, hardly no cheese, no bechamel sauce and with thick layers of pasta sheets. A BIG 0/0 here too. Was charged for a bread roll but didn't get one, didn't even get a refund from them.

Visited Sainsbury's today total mayhem never mind 2 mtrs 2" more like . They have decided to alter the whole shop during a pandemic. The result confusion for all customers and staff walking up and down Isles trying to buy essentials.

I chose the Lasagna and chips from the menu which cost £5 and thought it was great value. Unfortunately it was awful the pasta was chewy no sauce through it just mince and had no taste to it all. The young lady had not hesitation in returning my money.

I have been going to this Cafe regularly on Saturdays at a similar time. I would expect t it to be busy and for staffing and stock levels to be appropriate however yet again there are not enough staff, food unavailable on the headline menu and the addition of vegetarian options is an after thought. Staff appear to wander around in a daydream with no sense of urgency and there is usually a significant wait for food. Today there were no trays, piles of dirty plates and the most basic of menu items (cheeseburger) was unavailable. I don't know why I keep coming back other than the off chance that things will improve.

I take my grandparents here every weekend as they find it easier with disabled parking. We always visit the cafe, which is not my preferred choice, but they like the junior meals for smaller appetites. Every visit, the blonde lady on the till refuses to crack even a smidgen of a smile, and is extremely abrupt with everyone she serves, the tables are always left dirty from previous customers and the queue is never ending with one miserable lady serving. Queued for roughly 20 minutes today to be told at the till they had no dinners available even though it was still advertised on the board. Simple solution would have been to stick an A4 sheet of paper over it so customers knew before reaching the front or have the other team tell people in the queue so they had time to decide on alternatives! Used the D10 carelessly left on the side to clean our own table and spotted at least 9 different staff wandering around doing not much. Sweet potato fries came out triple cooked and full of oil (left to go cold I assume then re-fried) and the rest of the food was rushed and almost warm. Much better places to eat out cheaply nearby.

The floor in this cafe looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned for months. The edges of the floor and around the pillars are disgusting, as are the toilet floors. Apart from this the food is quite nice and so are the coffees. Shame about the surroundings.

Called in for a breakfast and coffee on the way to a meeting nearby. We had around an hour so thought this would give us plenty of time. Queued for at least 15 minutes despite there seeming to be plenty of staff, but their roles felt very disorganised and despite a really long queue only one till was open and nobody took the initiative to open the other one. Then told it was a 25 minute waiting time on ordering breakfast! Suddenly our hour was not enough and so had a croissant (very dry) and coffee (luke warm) . Won't be back! Definitely needs to have a more organised approach for busy times.

Tables not the cleanest but food come out quite quickly and it was hot and cooked well. A full plate for £4.50, great value! Almost made up for everything else!

The supermarket opened at 8am but the cafe didn’t open until 9! No sign telling you this so we stood waiting, as it looked open (people sat at tables). After about 10 mins a lady called to us about the open time. So we had a peruse around the store for a while! We Ordered a bite size breakfast each which cost £6 (£3 each). The food was tasty and a nice size for breakfast. Unfortunately the cafe was dirty! Very dirty. They obviously hadn’t cleaned from yesterday as the cutlery station was covered in sugar and general mess and a lot of the cutlery was dirty, we had to dig to find 2 clean sets. The tables hadn’t been cleaned from day before either as we had to wander around to find a clean one. Food was good value, and tasty but we felt a little uneasy eating as we wondered what state the kitchens were in. The staff were pleasant enough, lovely river side seating (indoor and out). Very popular with the older generation too.

The meal itself was very good, but as always the wait is long. One of the staff was excellent, smiling and friendly and obviously enjoys interacting with customers. I feel that the staff should however concentrate more on clearing the tables and keeping it tidy, as it becomes off putting to eat with empty plates on the next table, as the tray racks were over filling. But all in all I would definitely eat there again.

Took almost half an hour for a hot chicken baguette to arrive, it was a busy lunchtime I'll give them that, but it wasn't worth waiting for. A few slices of 'plastic' wafer thin chicken, not what I was expecting for the price I paid. Left still hungry and late back to work! Staff were very nice though.

It's not the biggest Sainsbury's I've visited but it has a very good selection of clothing (mostly women's and children - not so much for the men) and good fresh and frozen food. Prices for Sainsbury's own products are very reasonable and they always have fresh tasty bakery products. Love the under-store parking, always find a space. Can be a bit tricky getting in if there is a long queue for the petrol station as it's a single line in and out at the entrance. People just need to learn to queue behind cars at the pumps and not queue in a single formation that backups the entrance.

I originally popped in for a bite, but nature called. The ladies' loos were easily the most disgusting ones I've ever visited. Aromatic is only the tip of this encrusted iceberg, with such visual (and equally aromatic) delights that lead you to wonder - 'Can people actually aim?' and 'The excuse of wafer-thin loo paper has obviously lead folk to believe that they just need to scrape the worst off'. The hand-dryer was broken and the token hand-towels were sitting sodden next to the blisteringly-hot full-power fawcet lurking under one of the two redundant 'soap' dispensers. Sodden green hand-towels littered the uninspiring lino on the floor and I was happy to escape into the relative fresh air, whilst failing to touch the icky sticky door handles.

A good supermarket just on the edge of town centre (5mins walk) just off the A470 with ample car parking (3 hours max). The store is bright clean and easy to navigate. Apart from groceries it stocks Tu clothing, entertainment, home wares limited diy/gardening. Also has clean bright café with some outside balcony seating. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Yes its a supermarket but with a cafe on same floor they get very very busy sometimes you can wait up to 30 minutes for your food which I find a bit daft as you've had you coffee/tea and drank it by the time your meal come to you they need to sort this out as a lot of people cannot wait up to this long

Went her for lunch recently with my wife. I've written reviews before for this Sainsbury's cafe & generally they are getting more critical. Overdone fried eggs, overdone chips, butter too hard to spread & it was cold in there. I asked if they could turn off or down the air con but they said it was outside their control? Staff are a delight generally, only too pleased to help. Never figured out why they insist on taking the suaces away as soon as they can, what's that all about? On a previous visit i had my 2 fried eggs replaced but this time i just couldn't be bothered to wait. If they can do perfect eggs, & they can, then do them all the time. Thye need to get a grip in there, these things are simply resolved.

The cafe at Sainsburys store is a pleasant environment to eat with excellent views of the A470. The food represents cheap eats with a good variety and daily specials. Good selection of papers to read and ideal place for an impromptu meetings with friends and colleagues. Best avoided on school holidays as it can be chaotic .
