Sainsbury's in Enfield

The staff covering the self-checkouts are really unprofessional. We waited with a screaming baby in our hands while they focused on arranging baskets and fixing empty self-checkout machines. Seemed disturbed when asked multiple times to unblock our tilt.

Massive store, friendly staff, good prices.

I had one of the worst experiences at the Winchmore, and I feel compelled to share it. I had a scheduled Just Eat delivery to pick up and travelled 5 miles specifically to this store. What followed was 40 minutes of complete neglect and incompetence. Time ( 3 20 to 4pm) Despite asking multiple staff members for help, I was repeatedly brushed off and told to speak to the so-called “customer service” desk — which was nothing short of a joke. No one there seemed to care or take any initiative. The person responsible for Just Eat orders was completely absent, and never showed up the entire time I waited. I was left standing around with zero communication, no updates, and no effort from the staff to help. It was an utterly frustrating and stressful experience, and the sheer indifference of the staff added to my mental agony. This is not just poor service — it’s disgraceful. Sainsbury’s seriously needs to review the management and training at this branch. If this is how they treat people who are here to work and collect scheduled orders, then it’s beyond disappointing — it’s unacceptable.

I don’t know what is happening in this building but it is basically an internet desert. Reception is 3G at the entrance but for the rest zilch. That’s why I guess they provide O2 wifi but that thing also takes at least 2-3 minutes to connect.

Is a good Sainsbury's, but is a Sainsbury's. Mainly useful that you can get in at 9.45 on a Sunday and be waiting when the tills open....

STANDARDS ARE POOR. I SUPPOSE SAINSBURY'S SUSPECTS THAT THEIR UISTOMERS ARE THIEFS. SO THERE ARE NO BAGS FOR FREE ACCESS. IN ORDER TO GET A BAG WE NEED TO WAIT FOR NOT VERY FAST EMPLOYEE TO FINISH SERVING ANOTHER NUMBER OF CUSTOMERS AND THEN TO COME TO OUR TILL TO SCAN THE BAG. ARE YOU GUYS THAT DESPERATE? BAGS WERE INCREASED FROM £0.08 TO £0.40 P PER BAG ABD IT SEEMS THAT SAINSBURY'S ARE PREPARED TO COMPROMISE ITS REPUTATION OVER £0.30P. UNLESS IT IS SOME KIND OF INITIATIVE OF LOCAL GREEDY AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT IT DOESNT FEEL LIKE WINCHMORE HILL RATHER THAN Bangladesh. SHAME

One of the better Sainsbury stores.

On site Timpsons provide excellent cobbling service while you wait. Starbucks franchise as good as any other and normally well stocked and staffed by nice people. Can't fault the tobacco sales, either. Their booze is quite boozy, too.

Plain clothes shopper security and the security and the lady at the self checkout always follow me (over my shoulder for the latter) but one has to get his sustenance, especially if I am in this area.

I can never get mobile network connection or internet in the store. I am an O2 customer but the instore O2 WiFi requires a code that is sent to your phone via a text message. But there's no network so you don't receive the text until you leave the store. So annoying. Car park is big and good.

I'm every day in this shop for groceries and some sweet stuff what is amazing is inside the shop have the Argos.

Air com was on today it was freezing cold in there even my elderly father was freezing cold date of visit 28:2:2025 in the afternoon

My favourite supermarket, friendly staff members and a lot to choose from.

It has been our local supermarket for over 30 years. Always had a good selection of fresh produce and grocery items. I have no complaints about the quality of the food and selection. Sadly the store cleanliness and option to use technology is extremely poor. There is a constant smell as you enter the store, the toilets have been the issue I believe. The store can be extremely busy and lack of staff means the aisles on occasion are dirty. In terms of technology there is no internet anywhere in the store. So having a basket in the app is useless. The O2 WiFi never connects, even though I am an O2 customer. So using the SmartShop app is not an option. The lack of good WiFi also means the handheld scanners sometimes don’t work, making checkout a long drawn process. Come on Sainsbury’s this issues are not difficult to address/sort.

A large supermarket with an Argos, Starbucks and Specsavers inside. They also have a fresh pizza and sushi area.

Staff are rude, to the point of being offensive, everyone appears to be on the point of crying. I was accused of theft when using the self scan - totally unimpressed!!!!! Store is dirty, shelves are empty and the stock that is present, is in a mess. I will avoid this store - if I could give this store zero stars or less, then I would.

Really great size store with a very wide range of products. The parking area is large and I find the shop layout to be really easy to navigate with plenty of options.

A perfect example of how corporate greed is dehumanising society. Stressed out staff who can’t keep up with malfunctioning check out machines. Managers who couldn’t be bothered not pitching to sort things. Left my shopping at the faulty checkout and walked out. Will never go there again.

A place with grocery, meats, vegetables, fruit, café, flower shop, pharmacy, photo shop, clothes, toys, and huge car park with hand car wash service. A great place for shopping.

One of the best Sainsbury's store in London in terms of stock. Self scanners are faulty which is a big hassle. Men's toilets are terrible.

Can be busy sometimes. Pretty much has anything you need no matter how exotic. Reason it doesn't get a 5 is because I like to use the Nectar self shopping option and the hand devices always seem to be battery flat, unavailable etc

The worst sainsbery’s in Uk Unfortunately this is the only shop close to me I have no choice to go somewhere else. Very Rude staff and aggressive. Clearly ignoring you when asking for help or asking question they are not interested even to respond you , Nasty Toilets always dirty and blocked no paper , their cleaners chilling around rather than cleaning. And food sections always empty , the way the putting the goods are very hard to find them even with board numbers they are not relevant 👎🏻 Tills are filled with stuffs and are broken and long queues for self check outs

I’ve been coming to this Sainsbury’s all my life but today I got accused of not paying by a female middle aged member of staff Greek/Cypriot looking around 1.15pm. Not only did she rudely shout at me by saying I didn’t pay when I told her I did, I then showed her my receipt as she didn’t believe me the first time. When she came to the realisation that she was in the wrong she didn’t even apologise where a customer (yes a customer) apologised on her behalf due to her rude and disgusting behaviour. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL. She’s lucky I’m not an argumentative person because if I was she would’ve lost her job today. Why do Sainsbury’s hire such rude and miserable people who are desperate to get out of their mid life crisis when there are so many younger people who are willing to provide much better customer service!!

Pretty claustrophobic experience, people coughing and kids wailing do not great, but free parking so I guess in these days one has to be grateful for small mercies

Things getting very expensive compared to other shops for same item and always out of stock on most stuff you need try getting milk or bread in the evening I have been going other places lately

Good service l asked a lady member of staff where the packet soups were because I have a really bad knee and she asked me what ones wanted and the lady went and got them for now that's what I call service

A great Superstore at Winchmore, London N21. Groceries, Clothing, Household items etc sold here. A shoemaker while-u-wait in store.

Good size store with most of the items that you need for a weekly shop.

Supermarket I regularly visit. Good selection of everything. Only down side is that bread and bakery items are not on shelves yet when I'm there past 9am, shame really.

In this store they need to seriously address the way they replenish their aisles. Shelves on Saturdays have a lot of empty spaces. Fresh pastries like croissants etc for two consecutive times I shopped were absent, products are also moved all the times which makes it hard to find things. As for queues the waiting time is far too long at the tills or the otherwise.

Shelves not well stocked since the Covid pandemic

Do not order from uber or equivalent..... they are so slow everytime it takes between 90 minutes to 210 minutes. I cannot understand how they are so slow

Went to use their toilets, women's were out of order, the men's had faeces all inside their toilets, and the disabled/baby changing toilets were even worse and smelt so bad. Absolutely disgusting.

Special shout out to Daga (blonde hair lady with glasses) whom did her absolute best to help me find some items I was looking for today. Unfortunately Sainsburys doesn’t have them in stock but she went above & beyond for me which I very much appreciated!

Self sevice to a different level. Nobody ever works at the check out tills, have to go on a hunt for baskets and everyone that works there is miserable. Rather shop anywhere else.

A poorly managed branch in my opinion. Long queues at serviced checkouts, lots of trollies in poor condition. Several items not in stock. Shame it used to be good. No change today only one staffed checkout open wish there was another supermarket in locality.

I actually live nearer to the Sainsbury's in Crown Road Enfield but I come here because it's a better experience and better atmosphere This Sainsbury’s seems Ok, I've not encountered any bad experiences with customer service, I've had a few little niggles with the self check, but on the whole, it's okay, Plenty of parking, good variety of food Etc,

A very nice friendly, and well stocked supermarket, staff efficient and friendly, along with those in the coffee shop, Specsavers, and timpsons.

Well organised as you would expect. Staff very helpful and the car park isn't a free for all.

Visited store yesterday pm, discovered the connection to the local cab company not working. Went to the customer service desk, spoke to a harressed staff member who was dealing with vapes ect as wellas trying to answer queries. She tried to ring Swift cab number but was cut off at least twice. In the meantime my son was outside with the full trolley.....and discovered by trying to ring them direct Swift are permaneltly closed! Why has the dirct connection not been disconnected? Have others had a similar problem? We eventually called an UBER for journey home.

Excellent, clean, quality, and selection of produce. Nice experience as always. This store has a Starbucks, although that is not my cup of tea, I prefer Claude Dennis in Southgate. This Sainsbury will have everything you could need, even a sushi takeaway place inside.

Only 1 checkout opened 6pm on a Monday evening!! At least 6 people queueing for it. Went to self scan, 3 items didn't scan properly and had to wait for staff assistance. Also 2 of the self scan tills weren't working.

Ok supermarket with the range you’d expect. But YIKES their customer toilets are ALWAYS filthy, usually blocked and the used sanitary product/nappy bins are overflowing onto the floor so obviously not emptied daily. Yes the customers must be pigs to make this mess but WHERE ARE THE CLEANERS AND HOUSEKEEPING STAFF? Any supervisors on duty? Customer services? …. Hello?

Two female members of staff (one at basket self checkout & other at customer service) should receive customer engagement training. I found both to be ignorant and unhelpful. It's a shame as other staff here are usually very helpful

Nice place for your home shopping

30.5.24. long long queues at the tills, all tills open ( see Sainsbury's you can staff all the tills when needed, but choose not to most days??) Customer announcements ' apologies for the long queues at the tills this is due to failure of the smart system and card payment issues, cash payments preferred' really, than god some of us still use cash rather than relying on our smart phones or card touch pay methods. This Sainsbury's store has been steadily getting worse over the years, and while the staff are excellent and helpful, there just isn't enough of them. Most of the time there are excessively long queues at all the tills most days, so 1 star review is justified we feel for this badly run store. Gents toilets also dirty and smelly should you feel the need to use them whilst shopping.

We shop at Sainsburys in Winchmore Hill every week, the staff are all very helpful and friendly, including Paulette, Mary and Pembi, makes it an enjoyable event.

I have being visiting this sainsbury's store since it first opened. It was always a nice inviting place to shop, where all your grocery needs and much more were met. However, in the last few years or so i have watched it deteriorate in to a poorly run establishment the butchers, fishmongers chemist/ pharmacy and deli have all gone. The bakery is poorly managed and doesnt offer much variety of choice, the shelves throughout the store are never fully stocked and products are in random places, which makes it so difficult to locate what you're actually looking for, which is so frustrating! Even the sandwich, quick meal deal area, is now located at the back of the shop? Pointless and inconvenient.(nothing quick about grabbing a quick lunch/snack) Most of the staff members are rude, unhelpful and look miserable and seem to have no customer service experience. that's if you can even find a staff member. Honestly what has happened to this store? It used to be an excellent place to shop and a pleasure to visit. Now it feels so depressing, unwelcoming, very stressful and a miserable place where you just want to escape from! Well that's if you can get out, with hardly any tills open and gated self service exits which are tempomental makes it quite difficult to even leave!! its got to the point where I'm now considering alternative stores to shop at. Management you really need to start taking measures to improve this store and train your staff members. Before you lose more of your loyal paying customers. Such a shame 🫠

Sainsbury's this year. Seems I didn't get the memo that Easters cancelled. Ramadan decorations everywhere but no Easter decorations to be seen and eggs pushed to one sad little corner. Supermarkets aswell as our spineless government complicit in the destruction of our culture!

I’m a regular customer there and one of the staff Name is Aleks he is working on aisle 5 all the time , he very is exceptional Always there to provide with very informative customer service and support. 10/10

What happened? My family and I have been using this Sainsbury's since it opened and it used to be a nice store. Now they never seem to have more than two staffed tills open so the queues go down the aisles. The self-checkouts will inevitably throw up errors and the staff are so rude when this happens. Today at least three items on a self-checkout wouldn't register as being placed in the checkout area. When the staff member came over to "help" for the third time she heavily implied it was my fault and was rude about it. As well as this they recently (March 2024) introduced security gates at the front like it's a prison. The entry gate doesn't always open so sometimes you have to wait. Also if you've just popped in to collect an Argos order it's difficult to leave the store.

Not enough open tills. Not enough staff at the self check out tills. The self scanning system doesn't seem to be working. Not everything can be automated! You still need to have staff that can assist customers. Very disappointed. Will be staying away from this store.

Locked in so can never get safely out. Stupid ‘security’ methods with gates. A simple argos order collection and could not leave easily. Receipts cannot be scanned and lazy staff watching the difficulty

Big sainsburys supermarket with a lot of amenities within. Tu clothing is a large space to browse. You get 3hr free parking with snow places but can get really busy at times.
