Inadequate staff and disgusting customer service. After placing a click and collect order and going to the store, they did not bring out £30 worth of my order. I realised when I got home, and called the store. The colleague on the phone blamed us for not noticing missing items at the time, despite that it was a large order. They also refused to compensate by delivering these items, and said I would have to go back to the store. At the store, I asked to speak the manager. The manager who came out did not apologise, and instead said “I thought you had something to say”. Disgusting! She clearly didn’t care, she checked her phone multiple times during the conversation and also walked off to speak to another customer. Interestingly, since this incident, I have now been unable to access my online sainsburys account at all. Head office have confirmed to me it appears the account has been suspended, probably by the incompetent manager, and are investigating it.

I always find Sainsbury Manor Road Richmond, is clean, tidy, with helpful staff, must be one of their top stores. The staff are polite, but I think we sometimes forget they are human, having to sit there for at least 8 hours, they will say hi if you say hello, just they have been welcoming all visitors all day and do get tired and thirsty, same for all their staff standing on their feet all day, say hi 👋 does not hurt.

Seems some of the staff have been "pulled-up" for interacting with customers ! This is a shame, as with a world of competitive pricing between companies you look for a differentiating factor. The friendliness and helpfulness of some of the staff at this branch certainly is that difference and a reason to come here and not a competitor. If the aim is to take away that 30 second chat (whilst they are still working, I might add) then it becomes "any other shop" and any other shop I may as well be "any other shop". Pleanty of choice round here. Think carefully Sainsburys 🤔 Marked down to TWO stars 🌟 🌟 🌟

Not very happy as I was finishing my food shop I could hear a dog barking and misbehaving in the store which I suppose is against store policy as it wasn’t a service or guide dog and I mentioned it to security ( GILL ) as I left the store and his response to me was the man which is the owner of the dog has been coming there for ages and I explained to him why is there another dog waiting at the front entrance tied up being very well behaved One rule goes for all customers . I’ve tried to enter the same store with my dog and got refused entry so I just wonder what’s the policy seems like your staff pick and choose when then want to go by the store policy .

Living nearby, we find everything we need in this very well-stocked and generally well-run supermarket. Great meat, fruit and vegetables. Too often runs out of some types of milk and the quality of the bread and most pastry is not great - Lidl bakery is cheaper and better, which is not true for most other product categories. I think the problem is nation-wide for the dough/raw ingredients that Sainsbury uses in their bakeries, not this particular store. I have been living next door to this for 6+ years, very handy to have such a supermarket nearby but gets very busy and crowded. I dread going in on Sundays. Used to be cheaper but many items have become very expensive, but then probably every other supermarket is doing the same thing due to inflation. Issues like trolleys and staff blocking some isles is just nuisance you have to deal with. Usually tidy most of the time. Toilets don't work most of the time. And the way they built the new parking, cars drive over where people are walking so very dangerous near a tree in the corner. Overall, because we have no other choice in this area, we have learnt to live with it.

Always loved the Ivy in Richmond but not sure we’ll be heading back anytime soon. The restaurant is starting to feel very tired with our chairs missing fabric on the arms due to their age. The service wasn’t great (verging on rude) but the prices have now rocketed. This restaurant has long felt like a real treat without being a rip off. Sadly, we felt last night that we had very poor value for money. Food still tasty but if the Ivy is going to charge top prices it needs to do better. Two main courses (with sides) and two drinks each was well over £120. Until now a trip to the Ivy was an easy decision - sadly, we think we’ll try somewhere else next time.

I was looking for a new Chinese takeaway, after reading reviews I decided to give this place a go. Upon arrival I found the decor to be a little shabby, for example, removal of the Covid screen is long overdue, made the experience a little impersonal or detached, like a petrol station after 10pm, ordering thru a hole in the Perspex. My server was polite and hospitable, managed to smile and took my order quickly and accurately, although this was interrupted by a telephone order, which I accept is their M.O. I was advised of a fifteen minute wait, my order was ready on time. After a ten minute journey home, my food was still hot. I found the (5) Crispy Pancake Roll very crispy, however may require more seasoning, a little salt corrected this. (30) Kung Po Pork, was excellent, considerably more onion and carrot than pork, however really scratched my itch for spice and sweet, would definitely order again. (82) Special Fried Rice was loaded with pork, prawn and chicken, and was a generous portion; however the rice was not consistently fried and parts had a taste and feel of boiled rice. I’d also like to see more egg? The three dishes came to £17 something, which isn’t too bad I guess, the portions were large and of good quality. My criticism of the food is due to my own personal tastes and I recognise that the takeaway was quite busy. I recommend and will be frequenting this establishment. And there’s a pub next door…
