Nice food and great service in the ilford branch by Nazrul. He was very helpful and had very good recommendations. Very jolly man :)

I went to Sahara Grill with the family for a birthday celebration. We started with buffalo wings, dynamite prawns, and prawn croquettes. As ever, the wings were top tier with the sauce tangy and spicy. The prawns were also good but came a distant second to the chicken. For mains we had a selection of burgers grill chicken chicken steak and saute beef. I would say all items were good, the saute in particular was tasty, with the other items also hitting the mark. Overall i would definitely recommend and go back again

My wife and I visit this restaurant often but the service provided today by Izzhar was excellent. He was very professional and welcoming. I Definitely recommend it. We look forward to dining with you in the near future.

Sahara Grill Gants Hill offers a solid halal dining experience with well-prepared dishes and a comfortable atmosphere. I tried the chicken steak, which was tender, flavorful, and nicely grilled. The chicken bites were crispy, well-seasoned, and made a great starter. Portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was clean. The staff were polite and attentive, and the overall service was smooth. A good option for casual dining with quality halal food.

Azhar was amazing, met all of our requirements and was very kind to us. Not only the people but the atmosphere and food are absolutely amazing.

Sahara grill is a local institution, famous for it's tasty fresh food albeit quite pricey. Today I had a guest round and wanted to take them there for dinner but my toddler was playing up so we thought we would just order via Uber eats. We all ordered what was supposed to be steaks. What arrived was the worst, overcooked, low quality slabs of beef scraps with around 60% fat and gristle (honestly was like the scraps from the butchers!) The rest of the 40% edible meat was incredibly tough, chewy and overcooked.. absolutely shocking and disgusting especially considering it was £30 per head (a £120 bill for 4 people). Look at the photo, was like dog food! Tried to get a refund from Uber eats but apparently Sahara grill don't give refunds, so am actually furious! I was a regular but never going there again. This place is well past it's expiry date, living off it's erstwhile reputation. AVOID!!!

Very clean environment and the staff were very welcoming and attended to me when needed. The food was quality food and very delicious. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good quality and tasty meal.

I visited the Ilford Sahara Grill and I had a great experience. The food was presented very well with generous portion sizes and it was very tasty. The service provided was excellent. Been here many times now. Food is consistently good. I usually order a steak, both chicken and meat are great. Drinks are also very nice. Customer service is always on point. They got cool serving robots too.

I called Sahara Grill to make an order and I specifically asked them to put the three orders I made in separate bags as 2 order was for another family and 1 was for me. After, I then went to collect my order and made the payment of £126.85 and they mixed the orders together so I went home with no iftar.

Review for Sahara Grill (Visited on Thursday, 27th February 20:30): Our visit to Sahara Grill on 27th February was fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, who has been working there for over a decade—his experience and hospitality really set the tone for a great evening. Our waiter, Nazrul Bhai, was equally exceptional, ensuring we had a wonderful experience. He even arranged additional portions of freshly cooked fried onions for all five of us—a thoughtful touch that added to the meal. The food was outstanding! The BBQ beef burger was juicy and flavorful, and the mutton chops were tender and smoky. Every dish was cooked to perfection. While the prices are slightly high, the quality of the food, the manager’s warm welcome, and waiters like Nazrul Bhai’s excellent service, make it worth it. If it were more budget-friendly, I’d visit more often! Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

We visited last night with family. We ordered half chicken with rice and fries. Chips portion was good so rice. I found rice was very plain. They can make it bit flavourful. Rice was was not warm.

I ordered the Sauté Combo, and the portion was good. The meat was tender and tasty. You can choose between rice or fries, but I think both should be included—without them, the dish feels a bit dry. A pita bread on the side would make it even better. With extra rice, this meal is great for two adults and two kids to share. The service was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I’ve also been to Sahara Grill Leyton, which felt a bit fancier. Ilford could improve on small things, but overall, it was a good experience.

I am sorry to say but what’s the hype about this place ? I had a good burger over 10 years ago which was good I remember. But this time I visited with friends and ordered a sharing platter. The rice was good, the grilled chicken pieces were not freshly cooked, you can it from look and taste! The four wings were rock hard which clearly cooked at least few days back and refried again , out of four chops one was so tiny! Only good thing was some sort of chicken pieces with gravy sauce! No salad or sauce that comes with food! Like you get with other grill places. I would recommend everyone Nando’s or any Turkish grill restaurant other than this ! Not going back anymore!!! The only thing was fantastic is the service!!!

Me and my family of 4 just ate the Sahara original chicken steak and was so good. There portions are good sizes especially the fries and coleslaw. We were served by Nazrul today and he was very kind and attentive and very hospitable. We had a great time there. There Halloumi cheese with sweet and sour sauce was great not salty like other Halloumi cheese.

I would like to see going to Sahara Grill feels like having a Premier service. Nazrul is always extremely polite and helpful, and at your service he will make you feel very important and and is always polite and very professional he works extremely Hard and I wish he can always be recognised for his hard work and hospitality

Beautiful experience.Well presented tables and staff who are extremely attentive. Great welcome by chef in a gleaming service area. The only thing I never like there is the light cutlery; heavier ones would enhance the status of the best grill in a run-down part of my home town Leyton. I had the traditional fish n chips as I'd had before and wanted my companion to see the high quality at a good price. In the past I've had the lamb. There's plenty time to try the whole menu. The crumble and custard is a firm favourite every time. Need some cheaper dishes for pensioners. Bravo. I'll be back.

We're four friends visited last night In the Sahara grill in Cranbrook road. The food wasn't as good as expected. The Chicken was over night cooked, smelly, clearly showing the sign of not freshly cooked, taste funny. Lamb chops has barley meat in it, cover with lots of onions. chicken wings very very tiny. Not recommended,👎

Food was delicious and portions of the sharing platters comfortably accommodated three adults and two children. We had the buffalo wings, the sauce was spicy and piquant, really delicious. We also had the saute combo sharing platter and beef fajitas. Salaam cola was also on the menu, so of course we grabbed the opportunity to have an ethical cola. We were also given a complimentary house chilli sauce. Which was hot and delicious a great accompaniment to the dishes. Bathrooms were pleasant and clean (always a big plus), the hand soap was attached a bit low but we managed to use it fine. Last but not least, service was amazing, Nazrul was kind and pleasant, he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The main attraction for the kids was the robot waiter which bought the dishes to the table, she spoke and got annoyed when other customers stood in her way! All in all we left stuffed and happy.

Ordered a steak, tenders and sautéed steak. Tasted delicious as usual. The only place I know the taste will always be amazing.

It's ok food. Not something I would yearn for but good enough nonetheless. A little pricey though compared to alternatives in the area.
