Food was nice but they forgot my drink and service little slow

Got the platter for 2 and the bossman special, the chicken thigh was so juicy, I think the bread is the best I’ve had in any Turkish restaurant I’ve ever been, there was so much flavour in everything we had, thoroughly enjoyed and will be coming back, thank you bossman may Allah bless your business

I had a wonderful experience at Adana Fancy Spicy Turkish Café, where they skillfully combine Turkish and Indian cuisine—a trend that is becoming increasingly popular. The flavors were absolutely incredible, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well these two culinary traditions complemented each other. Exceptional Food & Flavors. I ordered the lamb shish kebab with rice, and it was simply outstanding. The meat was so tender it melted in my mouth, and the sauces were bursting with rich, aromatic flavors. Their freshly baked bread, straight from the oven, was warm, smoky, and had that perfect wood-fired aroma—the kind of bread that makes a meal feel extra special. The tea was another highlight—served in a generous portion with fragrant cardamom, adding a comforting touch to the meal. This place is perfect for couples, small groups, or even large gatherings—there’s plenty of space, and the portions are good size and satisfying. A Minor Drawback – Cleanliness of Tables. The only issue I encountered was the cleanliness of the tables. I had to ask multiple times for mine to be properly wiped down. The staff cleaned it with a single cloth, which only spread the dirt around rather than truly cleaning it. So I needed to ask a second time to wipe a table with a clean cloth. Generally, a second wipe with a fresh cloth would make a big difference in creating a more pleasant dining experience. Despite the table issue, the food was outstanding, the service was friendly, and the location is very convenient, right by the bus stops. I sincerely hope the owner takes this feedback into account because the restaurant itself has so much potential. If you’re looking for delicious Turkish cuisine with a unique Indian twist, rich sauces, and perfectly cooked meat, this is definitely a place worth visiting! Highly recommended!

Adana ilford/bethnal green never fails to please me, I love their food. I've been going for a long time now, this restaurant is one of my 'go-to' restaurants. Their food is delicious/ yummy. Different Turkish style food with a touch of adana spices, not too dry either🤌 loveee it. Please don't lose the flavour, the touch! Haha

Local legend. Was advised this is the spot for Turkish food for a Pakistani palate. Subhānallah it banged. The sauces were finger licking good and that bread! 🤤 We got the half chicken (spicy) and Iskinder dana ebab with chips. It was very filling, reasonably priced for the food quality and freshness. The waitress was a bit rude with eye rolling but other staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was dull and cramped without much privacy from other diners. The starter bread was a really nice - buttery and grilled with spices. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of other items as we were so hungry and the food was great. Turkish tea was given on the house - although sweetened with sugar far more than what I would have liked, but still a nice gesture. Overall I would highly recommend.

Good brothers, good food! I’ve been to every major Turkish chain and i’ve never had tender flavoursome meat like this. Simple well seasoned varied & delicious. Generous too. 👏 👌 All 4 of us were in agreement.

This restaurant is exceptional. Their food is unique and flavourful. Never disappoints. Their bread is divine as well as their mains. Chef Adnan is excellently skilled. I have taken many family members and friends here. I have also hosted a party here and their service is incredible.

I try different restaurants every week and this is by far the best restaurant I've been to! Amazing customer service and the food is even better. Main chef Adnan personally looked after us and made our food to perfection. Food is top tier 1000/10. It's a must try! Highly recommend!!!

Lovely delicious food. We got the tiktok munch box and it was great value for money. £10 each for tender lamb shoulder, and juicy chicken thigh, sauces were very nice, rice with crispy onions was delectable and the Turkish bread was arguably the highlight! Great customer service and they even gave us complimentary Turkish tea!

Hidden Gem! Had an amazing dining experience at the lounge area. The food was fresh, succulent with a fusion twist. The best Turkish fusion. I highly recommend the chicken wings platter and the lamb chops. The service was excellent. Will definitely come back. The manager accommodated us with our last minute booking. The lounge was perfect for our big family and privacy. Food and service was delightful!

I been come here for so many years with my friends and family. I have been to many fine dinning places in different countries and have food business myself. But hands down this place’s food is so good- all freshly made that you can tell in very bite. Even their bread is freshly made with some sauce on top (highly recommend their home made chilly sauce) We got the platter for 2 on the menu and it’s so much food with drinks included. What stands out even more is their hospitality the staff are so friendly especially Adnan bhai, I always recommend them to my friends & family. The atmosphere is so friendly & welcoming 10/10!

The order was an over an hour late than the expected time of arrival hence food being cold. Part of order was not included, and money was refunded via cash, once delivered!

Was with 5 of my friends today. We was visiting and new to the area (midnight) we drove past and saw the shop was open but it was past closing time. The manager was exceptional everything was still hot and fresh 5 star resturant and will advise everyone to come and visit! Definitely coming here again.

I live close by and Never tried this place so i thought lets give it a try after seeing the hype on boss mans tiktok! Got a Adana wrap and i gotta say it was something soo different and unique bursting with flavours! 10/10. £12 with a drink so average price! 2 months later : visited with family 30oct24 Took the family today and they loved it, kids got the standard grilled wings, and half chicken, i got platter 1a and my missus got the half chicken as well! The lamb shish was hands down the "BEST" i've ever had! So tender that it was literally melting in my mouth and had the most amazing flavours! The bread was not like the normal bread you get from turkish restaurants, it was something completely different and tasted sooo good! Love everything! Update: 11/01/25. Loved it again. I dont know what they do to their bread with the spices and seasonings they put on it, but it is hands down the best i've ever had! Kids got wing meals and another got the ribs, i got platter 1A and missus adana burger 10/10

I've visited Adana around 5/6 times both with family and friends. Outstanding customer service especially on my last visit with family. The food has always been top tier and never disappoints. Would highly recommend!

Ive been to some of the best turkish restaurants in london but this has to be one of the best. There bread is one of best and never had anything like this in a turkish restaurant. Great customer service and also very reasonably priced. Two peoplecame to less than £50. The platter we ordered normally would come to £70 in other places, but this was insanely cheap and the quality of the food was as good or even better. Keep up the great work guys

I'm gutted to say the second visit here wasn't as great as the first. The first time I had the pleasure of meeting the owners wife whom provided an excellent service to both me and my farther, ensuring we felt very welcome. Unfortunately the second time i ordered a takeaway, whilst waiting for my food I was rudely asked to move tables twice for new customers wanting to dine in. I was not offered even an apology when mentioning the fact i was asked to get up from my chair twice, to one short trendy looking young man with glasses. Everyone else seemed accommodating however found these two surah members very rude. Its a shame, the lack of service skills will have s drastic impact on the customers and inturn the business. These two staff certainly need some brush up lessons on customer service I believe. I big let down to this restaurant offering great food.

Hate to derail the hype train but food was average, minimal basic hygiene not being followed which was a surprise for an open kitchen. Only positive is that service was very good.

The food was amazing Alhamdulilah. The service was 10/10. Although the service was busy, the staff catered to our needs very well. Brother Adnan was very nice, he took care of us and made sure we were happy before leaving the door.

A great take on Turkish food with a South Asian twist. Usually fusion food leads to competing flavours, but Adana has achieved something great here. The favour when ordering spicy variants tastes natural - as if the spice was a part of the original recipe. Great service, as well, throwing in a few starts whilst waiting for the main dish.

Visited this place with my husband and 23 year old daughter on 17.11.24. Its located on the corner of Highbury Gdns and High Road. The food was really good and reasonable prices. The bread was fresh and tasty. The Lahmachun had a slightly soggy bottom, otherwise, it was good. Mixed grill (platter 2) was really good and came with rice only (no bulgar wheat, but that was fine for us). The service was friendly. The only thing I would say is that the waiters don't take note of empty plates/trays on the table to take them away. You have to keep asking them. I believe they have a function room at the back as there were a few people coming and going through the restaurant, to the back, all dressed in party wear. Parking along the road is a bit difficult. However, there is the Isaac Newton Academy car park just around the corner on Cricklefield Pl. Not sure if charges apply, but if its Redbridge Council, they probably do.

Stumbled upon this place last night with some friends after the place we wanted to go to had closed. Delicious food, excellent service and hospitality, and very generous portions (the biggest platters I have experienced).

A delightful twist to Turkish cuisine. Enjoyed every morsel eaten. The best ever Turkish food tasted. A must try for everyone. Tastiest Adana kebabs, the most succulent grills so full of flavour. I would have been happy to pay for the complimentary bread and sauces. A very reasonably priced menu. My go to place to eat all the time.

Grilled paltter for 2 is gigantic. We had to pack some for takeaway. Food tasted good. The place is quite busy, which is why servers are always in a bit rush. It was a pleasant moment there but we had to leave due to overcrowding.

Ordered the sharing item. £40. But when the food came felt like overpriced. But food tasted great. Went on weekends so pretty busy and had to sit down first in the backroom where from its nearby window smoke smell was coming and it was cold in there. Which made us request them to give a seat to the other room.

Food was excellent, service was very good except for some reason 3 bowls of chips took forever. Probably because seating was at the back and easier to forget. However, overall very very good service. Very welcoming and gentle folks. Atmosphere could be better but, nevertheless, it was overall well worth it ! Forgot to say, the Turkish bread is amazing but be careful it'll make you full before you even get to the main meal.

Adana is a fantastic restaurant that consistently delivers fresh, delicious food. The fusion of traditional Turkish dishes with their own unique spices and flavours is simply outstanding and sets them apart. I’ve visited a few times now and even introduced my entire family, who are now just as fond of it. The staff always make us feel welcome, and Talat, the owner, goes out of his way to ensure we’re well looked after. Adana has quickly become a favourite spot for us. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great Turkish food and friendly service.

Chef and owner is a wonderful person and a perfect host. Food is amazing, the main chef has mastered his art over the decades and we've been following him for a long time and it is great to finally see him with his own establishment. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are great, 2 of us dined in and also had plenty left to take away. Alhamdulliah, we highly recommend this restaurant. It's a perfect place for couples and families. Staff are friendly, tables was clean and service was very prompt. And the famous chicken and special sauce is better here 💯

Honestly came here for a deal we saw online, but turned out that this branch didn't offer it however, they still gave me the chicken for the price shown on the deal. Not only that they gave my lil son some nuggets and freshly made tea. I was glad to come here and really the food is absolutely amazing. Anyone who comes here or reads this, give this place a try.

Went here after a very very long time, quality doesn't seem to be as good as I remembered it to be. Calamari was nice, we also got the platter but I was a bit disappointed. Service also needed to be better, felt all over the place. Price wise it is cheaper than other Turkish places so I guess that's a positive.

Food: 5/5 – The highlight of the experience, with flavorful Turkish grill and exceptional bread, even surpassing the lahmacun. Service: 4/5 – Generally good, though there were some minor delays with the dessert. Atmosphere: 3/5 – Adequate but not particularly impressive or luxurious. Would definitely recommend to try their mix grill!

Ordered the full chicken via Uber eats they didn’t have the half option but I’m glad I got it 👌🏽 was beautiful 😋 SECOND REVIEW: ordered the half chicken this time round as it was available but boy was I disappointed, nowhere near as tasty as the first time Their famous sauce was missing from the chicken and the chicken was over cooked like some bits were burnt I guess it is hit and miss with them which will prevent me from ordering again unfortunately

Came here last night after seeing good reviews and needing somewhere to eat last minute. The main thing to remember here is that it isn't an authentic Turkish place, they have a twist which is South Asian. We purchased the first 40 pound platter shown on the menu to share between two adults and a child, we had enough left over to have as lunch the next day. Flavours were really nice, a bit more spicy than traditionally used in turkish food but, the place is popular. We arrived around 6 to an empty place and by 6.30, every table was filled. My favorite thing was the spicy bread given as a starter. It was divine! The ribs had more fat than meat but overall, everything was nice. It would have been nice to have been offered some complimentary Turkish tea etc at the end and the salad at the beginning was a bit lacklustre. Service is really nice. They're very good with children. Overall, a nice place and would recommend with the above things mentioned.

Amazing fusion Turkish food with desi/spicy spice blend. The grill/bbq right in front of you. Quick service. Turkish tea at the end is a must. Salam soda was good with food. The bread and the chutney/dip is finger licking. Must try this place. Family friendly environment.

I decided to try all the different Adana kebabs to compare them, starting with the 7 Kings one. It was just as good as others I’ve had, with the main difference being their bread, which isn’t included in the Jummah box. However, the owner generously gave it to us for free. The chicken shawarma with rice was delicious, and the portions were generous, especially for just £5. I highly recommend it and will definitely be trying it again.

Awesome food, highly recommend everyone to try, you won’t be disappointed, we finally found our favourite restaurant.

I visited this Turkish restaurant after seeing the hype on social media. I travelled 1 hour. The restaurant is located on the main road. It is well decorated and it was busy with customers. On arrival, we were offered to sit by the window and menu given to us within minutes. We ordered platter 2, which was £40 with bottle drink. We asked for half chips and half rice to the waitrese, and she initially stated we wouldn't make changes. Then after speaking to other staff. They agreed and said it's fine. We waited 20 minutes for food. It was hot & portion size was good. We were given bread and garlic sauce & chilli sauce. The food tasted ok and looked good. Not your authentic turkish food. We asked for straws for the drink, which was initially forgotten by the female lady. Another staff member got the straws and then gave them to the wrong table. After eating, we had food left over. I asked the staff for the takeway box. They came back with the bill. It was rushed, and we had not even packed the food. They have 1 x toilet used by male and female. The tap is damaged and does spill over you. Rating for food 6/10 Service 5/10

Excellent quality food. Always fresh and fantastic flavour combinations. Very nice and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for sharing with friend and family. The platters are generously portioned and way more than enough to fill a large group. The service is also very personal. We love coming here with family. I came here with my friends last week and what can I say. This was the most flavoursome Turkish food i’ve had. To start off with the Turkish bread and chilli sauce was full of flavour. The Turkish bread alone had some kind of delicious seasoning and the chilli sauce just complemented it well. The mains arrived and it was enough to feed four (fat) guys including myself and even then we struggled to finish what was left. Everything, and I mean everything including the chicken wings was full of flavour. This is all the amazing work of chef Adnan who put a lot of love and care into this, and of course the amazing staff who were very helpful and took care of everything. A place to pray, good food, great staff, parking on the side street (after a certain time). Really enjoyed my evening here and will be looking to bring my family here also! 👌🏼

I have tasted the adana kofte and chicken shish and I must say the flavour and taste is amazing. Slightly more spicier glaze and marination than your usual Turkish bbq which you will find to be delicious. Service is very friendly and prices are reasonable will definitely be returning.

Really tasty and value for money! We went for a late lunch and had Platter 2. Within minutes we were given a small plate of salads, chilli sauce, yoghurt dip. The lady server then said she would bring some humous and tzatziki and bread. And this was before the meats came! The meal also included a large (chilled) bottle of cola. We were even offered cans if we wanted different drinks. When the meat platter came, I joked Is this the small one?’ It was massive (although perhaps I would have liked a bit more chicken doner). All meats were freshly cooked, hot and tasty. The more we tucked in, the more there seemed to be left over. There was indeed lots left over - enough for a couple of people more. We asked for a box to take the rest home and whether we could buy some more chilli sauce (which I thought was delish as it was not overtly hot). They gave it to us and said no charge, with compliments. The seats are also very comfortable and the restaurant is very clean and airy. All this food for £40 - excellent value and highly recommend. Wow what can I say. At arrival I thought this was just another Turkish food place but boy was I wrong. The restaurant was busy however they guys managed to get us seated quickly. We had ordered the mixed platter although we had saw that the restaurant do an all chicken platter (which indicated how good the chicken must be. When the food arrived the lamb was cooked well but was still tender and juicy and the chicken was even better. The platter comes with rice only but honestly this was probably the standout part of the dish as it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back here 10/10.

I was looking forward to going to this Adana after I saw a few videos on TikTok and one my cousins said the food was very good here. The service was very good, bread was nicely seasoned and fresh too. I went for the meat platter for 1 and unfortunately the Adana was undercooked as it gave me stomach problems for a few days. The platter was also £20 but there was not enough food for that amount of money. I would not recommend this platter or Adana restaurant as the food was not the best and you could get better value for money elsewhere with £20.
