I have been going to this place for years and being Indian what I can say is this place has amazing food and amazing staff. This place feels like home the guys spend time with you to make sure your visit and meal is memorable. I would recommend this place everyday of the week!!!

This restaurant looks amazing due to COVID we have not been able to visit this place but it's absolutely amazing plus the food is 10 out of 10 lastly staff are 11 out of 10. You always get looked after in this restaurant regardless. Please support this place it's the pride of Bexley!!!

Lat night we went to the Saggor in Bexley - we have eate here many times over the past 30+ years but due to being a vulnerable family have not eaten inside of any restaurant since Feb 2020 and have only just started to venture out and were obviously a little anxious.When we arrived we were amazed there is handsfree sanitiser on entry and on each table and the tables were well spaced. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the restaurant, which has been extended and refurbished is stunning and elegnant.Our food arrived hot and aromatic and was so tasty - we were treated like royalty, nothing was too much trouble, and my son who has complex needs was really taken care off and the staff went the extra mile to ensure that his needs were met. My compliments go to all who have and contine to make this a very special place to eat and I left feeling full and safe in the knowledge that we were safe while there. We are now planning our next visit

Tried this restaurant for the first time and found this to be excellent. Put the order in and it arrived in good time and the taste was delicious. Food was hot and flavoursome and fresh. Would like to come in for a table service meal soon but I will be ordering again for delivery soon. Thank you.

Have eaten in Saggors for many years and have always rated it. However, the new decor, revitalised menu and service have managed to turn a great place into an excellent place to eat.It’s a light and airy place, finished with great style and a lovely setting for a meal.The governor Mo has managed to create that difficult blend of old fashioned service and modern approach. The team (headed by the brilliant Ralph) are professional, attentive (without being over bearing) and very knowledgeable about the food.Last night I had the garlic chilli chicken, done as Phall hot and it was sensational. Fiery hot, but with a fantastic balance of flavours (not just extra chilli as some do)I cannot recommend this place highly enough.Decor 10/10... Staff 10/10... Food 10/10If you haven’t been, treat yourself and try it out. With the effort the team put in, they deserve to be full every night

On Monday night I got a take away from this restaurant, it was the first time I have ever been inside because normally I get the food delivered. When I walked in I was amazed by just how beautiful it is inside!!! The people that own it are the so,so helpful and friendly, I could of stayed chatting with them for ages. I can not wait for covid rules to be dropped and actually dine in the restaurant and I urge any other customers that normally get the food delivered to do the same. It is stunning.!!Kelly x

I have been going here for many years. The service, whether it is in the restaurant or takeaway is excellent along with the food. Lovely friendly faces, always so welcoming and the food is delicious. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We order from here on a weekly basis and the food is really lovely and always hot. The staff are super friendly and always amend the menu for us so we can have vegan and vegetarian options. I’m very fussy and have no complaints at all and will continue to get our takeaways from them.

This place is our go to curry house and in these tough pandemic times they have been providing us with there usual great service. The first reason we choose them was because of there 5 star hygiene rating but after they refurbished the place it deserves a 10 star and they have a brand new kitchen. Slightly a longer wait this time but food was amazing as usual.

We pre ordered our food for a specific time. When I arrived to get the food I saw how busy they were so I said I am happy to wait a few more minutes the guys then said please wait in the car we will bring the food to your car. I have been using these guys for a long time now and there service is always amazing the food in this cold weather is always piping hot. They have refurbed and if you have a look at the place it’s absolutely gorgeous. I was shocked by how some customers in the restaurant were being impatient it’s New Year’s Eve a restaurants bound to be busy pre order like me and get your meal on time and cheer up these places are working hard during these tough times. Lovely food here with great service even though we can only do takeaways now! Food was ready promptly and tasted as good as always.

Phoned 17.43 for a take away for 2. Sadly arrived 19.25 cold. Rang restaurant straight away and told Manager call me back. Rang again 20.13 as still no apology and told Manager too busy!! OMG. We had an asset card there but terrible service and cannot believe Manager not contact me to apologise! Not recommend as who wants cold food and an unprofessional service

Do yourself a favour, go and give your business to a local restaurant that actually cares about it’s customers. This place couldn’t care less. Ordered five minutes after they opened. Took them two hours to deliver soggy naan, oily curry, and lukewarm tandoori. Then overcharged me. Pathetic

This Indian restaurant is a charming local Indian restaurant in Bexley, with low key decor. - It is not a fussy Indian. But they do make a fuss over you and the food is excellent. This is a great choice for informal/casual dining.We have eaten here on many occasions and always been happy with the level of service and always the quality of food. The staff is both courteous and accommodating.The food is traditional Indian dining as well as English Indian dining. Their chef's specials are always one to try if you fancy changing it up from your "Regular".For a different sweeter take on a chicken curry try the Chefs Special Haryali Chicken.

Not been here for a while but used to be my go to Curry house for many many years, they did not disappoint, thoroughly enjoyed it, dhansak was very tasty as was the chicken chat puree and the Sag Paneer is the best bar none

Excellent meal..great service... friendly efficient staff..They were very busy but kept on top of everything calmly.. Naan breads fluffy and flavoursome...all dishes beautifully prepared

Thought I’d give a review on the takeaway service at the Saggor Tandoori normally I eat in but due to the COVID-19 I’ve been subject to takeaways iam glad to say the food as I thought was no different than if I was eating inside the restaurant it was excellent it’s well worth a try and hopefully the restaurant will be open to eat in and do try the new beer they have Bombay bicycle verry nice

We have been going to the saggor for nigh on 20 yrs. sometimes we eat-in and on many occasions we just drop in and order a takeaway. which ever option we are always welcomed and the food is of a very good standard with plenty of variety. our last visit included a Tandoori mixed grill of exceptional quality and a Sag Gosht [tender lamb and spinach].the main staff are a wealth of knowledge and are happy to suggest new dishes or adivise on product contents. the friendly atmosphere makes for a relaxing meal and if you have any issues they listen and adapt. this year [after many yrs of talking] they extended the seating area to provide for more covers and pleased to say that while this has increased numbers it hasn't slowed service time by much.the owner has worked very hard on keeping the quality of things that bring people back time and again, yr on yr . some restaurants provide takeaways which dont replicate the choice and quality of their eat-in menu but the Saggor is certainly one that does. DURING THIS COVID-19 PANDEMIC I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND A TAKEAWAY FROM THE GUYS AT SAGGOR TANDOORI. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RESTAURANT IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES - Especially when they are this good !!

Had an impromptu dinner with my daughter this evening.Food and service were not too bad , nan and bhajis were very good.Old fashioned type of restaurant which I like but was gobsmacked to be charged £9 for two diet cokes. Questioned it and was told it was £4.50 a pint.We did receive pints but didn’t ask specifically for them.I’m preety sure that it was poured from an asda bottle at the bar!! Oh my goodness , criminal Won’t be returning

My partner and our 11 year old son would not go anywhere else for a curry. The food is amazing and if you want something special the staff go out of there way to cook it for you. The 5* service is second to none. I cant recomend this restaurant enough.

We visited the Saggor last night for my sons birthday. The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are incredibly friendly and are very attentive and personable. The food is exquisite and I would highly recommend this restaurant. The selection is vast and they are happy to accommodate dishes according to taste. We will be returning very soon.

Great local restaurant, they have a great selection of food, and dishes you won’t find anywhere else, we visit every week for a takeaway or eat in, the staff are friendlier than any other Indian restaurant I have ever been too, highly recommend!

When we feel like treating ourselves this is where we go. Friendly staff, excellent food and no matter how busy they can always cope. Never had a bad meal from Saggor either eating in or taking away. We are grateful for all the many good nights in and out!

Visited this restaurant a few times over the last month, what a fantastic little gem! Food is delicious, service is great and very reasonably priced! New favorite and definitely returning.

Booked in advance and arrived on time, but, despite some empty tables, we were asked to sit and wait for a table. While we were waiting, a couple came in and said they hadn't booked, but were seated straight away. They were eating poppadoms and enjoying their drinks before we were even sitting at a table!Some of the staff are pleasant, but the tall, bald fella needs a personality injection - he's very abrupt and seems distracted all the time. No attention to detail either - we needed forks for our main course (as we'd used ours for starters) and when they were brought up, they were just placed on the table somewhere close-ish to where we were sitting.Our poppadoms arrived quickly, but we had been in the restaurant for almost an hour before main course arrived.Portion size was very good. The mushroom rice, potatoes and bread were very nice, but my Chicken dish was bland. Very little flavour and, considering it was garlic chilli chicken, I couldn't taste garlic or chilli.We've lived in the area for 20+ years and this was our first visit to Saggor. We won't rush back.

The cuisine, staff and environment are 2nd to none. Most staff have been there for nearly 30 years. Everything is freshly prepared and individual tastes are catered for by the chef. There is a comprehensive menu including a vegan and balti listing with all spices being fresh. The restaurant is a family run business that I and my family have been attending there for all of the last 30years. Indian lager (Kingfisher is on draught) with others such as Cobra bottled as well as a decent wine and spirits list. Better than anywhere you will find in Brick Lane or Central London!

Lovely curry for all the family. Three generations catered for. Nagga chilli chicken and keema nan was hot enough for me and and plentiful.

This place was spacious and the mixed grill and fish for starters was excellent. Main course chicken curry and other dishes were really tasty and spicy rather than bland. Felt like home punjabi cooking. Very impressed.

By far the best service I have experienced in London. As being a single father of three, Saggor catered to my needs and demonstrated outstanding customer service. As for the food I have no complaints whatsoever and it is definitely the greatest I have tasted south side of the river. Compliments to the chef.

My dad and I have been coming for almost a year now and honestly could not recommend a place more. The food is unreal with so much variety for those who like spice, or like my girlfriend for more mild tastes.

Normally when I go to a restaurant with my children it’s a real hassle as not a lot accommodate for our needs. However, all the staff including the manager made sure the kids were happy and comfortable at every opportunity. The food was brilliant and they made sure that the kids food was not to hot which was very thoughtful. Definitely going back again.

This place has always been amazing having been coming here for years. Now they have the son of the owner running things which is great it's been in their family for 30 plus years. But I have to say that something has changed the food is better than I remember, it's amazing. The service is great Ralph is still there and son of the of the owner is amazing. Please keep it up it's rare to find such an authentic Indian.

Best Indian restaurant in the south east without a doubt. Go to the Saggor on a regular basis and have done for many years. The food is outstanding with lots of choice on the menu and the staff are friendly. Would recommend this to couples and for family looking for a good place to eat.

Went to this restaurant with family and friends yesterday as we were in the area. We ordered a few veg dishes. The food was very average, almost without any spice or flavour. Most dishes even lacked salt! I was surprised that the place has such high rating. Nowhere close to authentic Indian taste. I will not visit again. However the staff was good and the decor was nice.

Ventured back to Saggor tonight after being somewhat disappointed on a few previous visits.

Great dishes for all the family and the staff make you feel welcome. Would reccomend all the starters and biriyanis!

Saggor is an old fashioned/old school restaurant which is great for people that are tired of visiting newer places who no longer have the charm of an older cosy place... Went with a few friends as it's only five minutes drive from 02. Ordered a few curries and rice, the food was lovely specially the chicken jalfrezi as it had the perfect spice and chicken was really tender. The service was great and appears to have a newer/younger owner, the price was also under £25 per head. Overall a great curry night thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend a night out should someone visit 02....

Ok where do I start ,sagger has a new manger/ boss man which is a god send I don’t know what he has done but the food eat in or takeaway is brilliant I have held back on reviewing the saggor till I had tried 4 curry’s my family just love the new taste / quality of the food if you like a good curry go and try it out I’ve been eating their for 18 years plus and I didn’t think it could get any better I was wrong it 5star in my reckoning

Living in Ireland I try and fit a Curry in whenever in England, this place never fails, always busy, great service all the waiters very friendly, and food yummy. Go here each time I’m here, never lets me down.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Bexley, wether you dine in the restaurant or have a takeaway you know you’re guaranteed to have a lovely meal. The staff are amazing as are there delivery drivers we have used them for well over 20 years and though have been to others in the area Sagoor is by far the best for quality & Service.

Sidcup/Bexley has a number of Indian restaurants in the vicinity. I have to say this is one of the best I’ve been to. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the food was reasonably priced and delicious

I have been lucky enough to have been eating at Saggor for years & I was genuinely saddened when I learnt that it was now under new management. The staff & the food had always consistently been amazing. So when we ate there on Bank Holiday Monday, we were very pleasantly surprised to see that the 'new owners' were members of the original family & were as lovely & as accommodating as Saggor had always been. As was the delicious food! Thoroughly recommended!

First time trying from this new Indian place was a huge success. Im always on the look out for exploring new places and new cuisines. We have been using this restaurant regularly since moving to Bexley 10 years ago, and spent a lot of money here. well never again!!! I Placed a order tonight and then went over it again with them so they understood what I was asking for however, when the order arrived one of the dishes was wrong! When I called the restaurant to explain that it was the wrong order, they kept saying "it was the right order" but it definitely wasn't the dish we've been eating in there for the past 10 years. The staff when I phoned back were also very rude and unhelpful and certainly showed no consideration for customer loyalty!

He visitado o a Saggor tandoori muchas veces durante los últimos 30 años y siempre he sido muy satisfecha, pero el sábado pasado trajo estos recuerdos felices. Mi mujer pidió Pollo Dhansak y pedí pollo Madras junto con Peshwari Nan. La salsa en el Dhansak llegó mucho más oscura que en el pasado y mucho más salerosos. El Madrás probado más cerca a un Korma y no era ni de lejos tan picante como debería haber sido. Tanto Nan fueron quemados en el fondo y a pesar de pedir medidas doble de ginebra recibí bastante una pequeña medida en cada uno de ellos. La comida puede ser a un nuevo chef, pero si ese es el caso seguramente el propietario/gerente notamos que el deterioro de la calidad.

El Saggor hemos visitado en varias ocasiones. La comida es buena, pero que el tiempo de espera es ridículo. En la última ocasión fue de dos horas. Nos dijeron que se había acabado de pollo Korma. Me quejé de que había docenas de sitios en el momento en que había sido sentados esperando para nuestra comida y por qué no nos han servido antes. El director vino y dijo que tenía "encontraron" algunos y que estábamos al lado. Tenían otros lavados fuera de pollo y poner una salsa korma en la cima. El pollo era un color rojo y sabía nada como un Korma. Ya no hemos vuelto. Esta no es la primera vez que hemos tenido que esperar mucho tiempo.

He estado viniendo aquí durante años y siempre ha sido genial. Me encanta la comida, en especial el pollo Korma y la bomba de color naranja, y el personal es muy amable. Ellos hacen un esfuerzo para llegar a conocerlo y es un gran ambiente.

Tenía una preciosa para llevar iam me alegra decir que estaba tan buena como si había comido en el restaurante sigue siendo el el mejor curry house en bexley probarlo no te bedisappointed

My friend and I visited here last week. On entering the restaurant we mentioned we had a taste card ! The manager attitude changed straight away and kept emphasising that it was only main dish buy one get one free . We were fine with this even though it states on the tastecard website it is buy one get one free on each course, just couldn't be bothered to argue ( if you don't want to take part in these schemes don't !!)After all this the food came out and sorry to say it was really bland and tasteless! We won't be visiting again, shame really as this is our local Indian!Must just mention the other waiters, all were really nice and polite, maybe the manager should take some customer service tips from his staff.

We booked a table for a group of fourteen friends to have a cheeky curry to celebrate my birthday. We ended up spending almost four enjoyable hours there. The staff were friendly and helpful and we didn't feel under any pressure to hurry up and leave. The food was excellent and everyone was happy with the price.

Used to go to this restaurant a lot and it never failed to deliver, but sadly not this time. Starter full of colouring, main course very bland - won't be rushing back.

I can't count how many times I have visited Saggor's and it never fails to deliver.I think I probably eat in here 3-4 times a month and its level of consistency is unrivalled anywhere in the local area.The staff are friendly and while the decor isn't anything particularly special it has a warm and efficient welcome every time. There's nothing at all wrong with the decor, don't get me wrong, but the food and service are the real stars in this place.I like the fact that you can tell its freshly cooked and quite often ask for 'off the menu' alterations or amends. These are always greeted with a smile, a yes, and can be tasted in the delivered plate.It's a cracking Tandoori and has simply become synonymous in our house now with a curry. "Shall we go for a curry?" means "shall we go to Saggor?"....

First time here. Busy Friday night but initial service was quite prompt. All staff attentive, but not overtly so. Very busy, the place was full, so had to wait a bit between courses. The food was very good and in fact there was too much. Everyone left some. After 4 wines and 4 pints, and sweets the bill was very reasonable. There were 6 of us, and all left happy.

This restaurant is deceiving from the outside it looks small but once thru the door you will be pleasantly surprised. The food is brilliant, typically loads of choices and very well presented at the table , excellent service, lovely friendly staff, great value for money and I will be returning.

We have used the Saggor since the day it opened and love it. We moved 3 years ago and have tried many other Indian restaurants in our new area but none have been so good. We came back to Welling yesterday to visit relations and left for home at 6pm, realising that the Saggor was open we decided to get a take away and drive home (couldn't eat in as we had left the dog). The smell of it driving home was driving us mad!!!! It was just as good as we remembered, nice and spicy, no grease and tender succulent chicken and they even remembered us. Trust me you will go a long way to find a better Indian restaurant, we have and we still can't find one. Wish they delivered to Whitstable.

I knew about the restaurant through friends so decided to go out on a Friday night, got there for 1030 and decided to ask the chef to just put a few dishes together... ended up with 4 lovely dishes... Beef Bhuna, Chicken Tikka Bhuna, King Prawn Dipiaza & sweet Vegetbale dish... the beef tasted like from Bangladesh, Prawn & Chicken from Goa and sweet vegetable dish from Pakistan... it really was good... as we were driving the owner mixed up a few soft drinks with lemon, lime and mint, something different I haven't had before so it was lovely... compliments to the Chef, the waiter known as Saj Bhai & the Manager known as Mujib Bhai... thank you for a wonderful night... will return soon. Thanks again.

Why do i single out the saggor tandoori as a favourite restaurant its got to be the consistent quality of the food my favourite curry got to be vindaloo been eating it for 40 years but have been tempted and glad i was to garlic chilly chicken it was amazing it is so tasty you can taste the spices from start to finish that's not the only one with so much choice you would miss out if you didn't try out this restaurant

We have had takeaways from here previously which have been nice! Tonight was awful - greasy onion bhaji, prawn soup (instead of madras curry) and food old and cold - really disappointing and when I called to confirm they advised prawn bhuna would have been more suitable!, really?

Having ordered online for a collection for them only to have something missing from the order we went back to collect a refund only to be short changed because they said thewebsite charges comission so they wouldn't give us the full amount we paid for the missing item even though it was an issue with their staff and their restaurant. They advised us to contact the website to rectify the difference even though the website had the order correct. Will not be using them again and be warned to ensure thatanything you order via the website doesnt get delivered ask for them to deliver the food as you wont be getting all your money back. It was only a small amount of money but its the principle that they stood there arguing over 45p.

For the last 2 years we have regularly visited Saggor and have never been disappointed. My partner and I have tried numerous dishes from the menu and they have all been excellent. Definitely the best curry around! and the service is brilliant too - always made to feel extremely welcome :) We love it here and will be back soon (probably next week!)- would recommend to anybody!

What to say ! I am fortunate to live within walking distance, but if I lived miles away (as a good friend of mine does) I would willingly make the journey, as the Saggor is simply the best Indian restaurant in Kent & surrounding areas.

Went on August 22nd 2015 to celebrate a friends birthday with a party of 6. We had a table booked and it was ready when we arrived. We ordered a variety of dishes including Jalfrezi, Rogan Josh, Korai, Shaslik and others. All arrived pretty quickly and were freshly cooked and really tasty. The service in here is always good and the place is almost always busy. It's a really good local restuarant and offers great food at reasonable prices. I'd recommend this to anyone in the Bexley area who fancies good food in a buzzy environment for a good price.

I must admit that I've been using saggor for many years the reason the food, you have got a good selection of currys to choose from my favourite is vindaloo hot but you can taste the spices the garlic chilly chicken brilliant so's the tandoori mix grill the staff are friendly polite and helpful for a good night out try it out you won't be disappointed☺

I will highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Believe me! The place was busy yet they were serving me on time. The food was mouth-watering and delicious! You need to try their food because it is one of the best! Overall, I would rate it five stars due to its great service and food..

We visited on Sunday 9th August, around 8pm. The restaurant was fairly quiet, but still had a nice atmosphere. Its kind of old-fashioned in decor, but hey, thats what Indian resturants are mostly like, right?!My boyfriend is a curry connoisseur, and has phaal strength, I am only able to tolerate medium strength flavours. Both our meals were very good. As well as main dishes, we had some sides, and all were very tasty. My chicken was moist and prepared in a charcoal oven, which gave it a gorgeous flavour – it was very good indeed.We had a sorbet desert each, and the bill came to around £50, without wine.A very nice meal, we will return.
