The food is delicious. It was very busy so table service was probably not as good as usual but still enjoyable and we will return.

Definitely the best Indian in Sidcup by a mile. The food is amazing and each dish is cooked fresh when ordered (not many do that) and the prices are amazing. Excellent value for money definitely highly recommend

2 YEARS AGO: Lovely restaurant. Food is delicious and staff friendly. Unfortunately their website is not mobile friendly (unacceptable in today's world) and they advertise offers the staff are not aware of. (Sunday-Thursday Dine In with 25% off). Went on Sunday and staff had no idea what I was talking about. Had to show them on the website. Even then they didn't do anything about it. (Though accepted a different offer they also didn't know about 🤦) Bill includes "optional" 12.5% service charge. We were happy with the service so we left it, but personally hate when restaurants do that. Would have left a much bigger tip if there was no service charge 🤷 We will definitely be back as the food was delicious (and the wine!), Or maybe order take out from them. The website and the offers really need a lot of work though. EDIT - 2025 Went last night for a meal. Understandably, they were very busy as it was New Years Eve. However, everything that could have gone wrong, did. Extreme waiting times. Wrong drinks and food delivered. One of the waitresses was extremely rude and unprofessional. Clearly mocking colleagues AND customers in the restaurant. When we asked for plates to share the starters delivered, they brought the dirty side plates they had just taken from our table (used for poppadoms). From the point we sat down, it took 2.5 hours to get our mains (even though they were supposed to arrive WITH starters) just for some of the items to be incorrect. We asked for take out boxes as at this point we were extremely fed up and just wanted to leave. Several groups just got up and left due to the lack of service throughout our visit and many people waiting for take out complained as we could hear from our table. We were incredibly patient and determined not let this ruin our night for the first 2 hours but enough is enough. I can't even name all of the things that went wrong. There were so many. Including all staff just frantically running around constantly delivering the wrong items to incorrect tables and arguing amongst themselves Infront of the customers. We had a voucher (we purchased specifically for this visit) which covered 90% of the final bill. We asked the owner to reduce the bill by the remaining amount given the horrendous experience. Which he did. However he did mention that he just gave us the food for free as he doesn't get anything from the voucher purchase. Which to me seems like he needs to rethink his business model. I would be tempted to give them another try but I am not confident I can expect fair and professional service if we were to return. Food was nice but we were disappointed there were no tea options on the menu as we would expect in an Indian restaurant.

Food ....king prawn Balty was oily and when arrived was was leaking out of container and cold.... Terrible.

Not recommended at all , food was not good at all. Staff was not organised , they are trying to do something but not deliver anything. This review from someone who tried authentic Indian food many times . But as I seen other people enjoy their time .

If I could give no stars I would!!! We Have sat in and ate here, but a takeaway what a joke!!! Each time we ordered we have always had to wait 2hrs sometimes 3hrs and over. We ordered at 6:30 and received our order 8:40. The food was cold and no apology when food was delivered. This is definitely going to be the last time we order from here!! Id rather pay the extra and get the better customer service eise where. We used darjing there customer service was so polite and food is lovely there. Think we will be going back we was going to order from them tonight. But give this one the benifit of doubt as we ordered at 6:34pm but again deliver was late YET AGAIN and it’s always the same excuse I’ve taken over 100 orders no delivery drivers not sure how much longer there going to get away with that excuse as it’s the same everytime!!

Waited 3 hours for our delivery

Seriously, sort it out. Delivering food shouldn’t take 3 hours. Was told initially it would be an hour and a half. It went over this time and was then informed it would be another 25 minutes. 45 more minutes went by and still no food - I could have grown the ingredients and made it myself in this time. Phoned for a second time and was told they were waiting for a delivery driver. Not good enough, order cancelled and stomach rumbling. Cheers for nothing.

Having placed our order at 6:50pm and told the delivery order will take 1 hour and 30 mins, after waiting this time, we called to see if there was any updates and was told it would be another 30 mins for 2 curries, 2 rice, and 2 naans. Asked how long it would take if I came and collected the food and was told 15 minutes. I chose this option as it is only a 10 minutes walk away. Upon arrival, was told immediately to just sit down and once I stated I have just called, they went and checked and was told it would be a further 20 minutes but having waited 20 minutes, the manager came out and was clearly irate saying that he had over 100 orders. I had said if they knew it was going to be late they should have contacted me and he said he couldn’t contact every customer and the reason why the orders were so late was because of the sale which was coming out of his own pocket and said the customer wasn’t always right. His attitude and customer service was appalling for a manager to speak to a customer this way. After all of this hassle once I got home part of the order was missing and thought a bottle of wine would be suitable for all of the shouting. If you want a takeaway I wouldn’t recommend getting it delivered and add an extra 30 mins to your estimated time. The food was not up to standard with mislabelled food and burnt naan.

Disappointed nearly 3.5 hours of waiting for delivery yes 3.5 hours nobody answering restaurant phone the driver eventually calls saying they all got locked out of restaurant and had to call locksmith 😬 customers , staff , chefs all locked out ….come on that’s poor 👎🏼

Wr order from here a lot and the food is fantastic. The best curry you can get in sidcup and the prices are incredible with two meals and sides for approximately £20. We used to collect due to a slower deliver service which has now improved so we get it delivered to our door on time 😄

Fantastic experience. Food was pre ordered for the family. Arrived on the time requested. Very flavourful. Would highly recommend for a cozy evening meal in.

Waited over two hours for delivery, no communication from the restaurant and calls ignored. Food was warm but went cold as soon as it hit the plate. Good food but wouldn’t bother with delivery from here.

If you want authentic Indian food, please avoid this restaurant. We ordered Butter Masala Curry and Paneer Tikka, and both dishes were extremely sweet with a strong coconut flavor. We also ordered Biryani, which lacked spices and any authentic biryani flavor. You can get a better paratha from Tesco's frozen meal section than by ordering regular or stuffed paratha from this restaurant. This was the worst Indian meal we've had in the UK so far.

13 of us did the banquet night and although it was quite slow food service (every table in the restaurant was full it proved very popular) the food choice and value was great. A throughly enjoyed meal by the whole family and big portions! As it was my dad’s birthday they provided a helium balloon and chocolate cake which was above and beyond - it made it a very special night. We cannot wait to return for the banquet deal again - £14.95 for any starter, main, veg side and naan or rice!

I ordered a delivery & was told an hour. After 1 hour & 25 mins I rang to find out it was still at the restaurant & waiting for a driver so it would be at least another 20mins. When it arrived it was cold. Also there were no pompadams or keema naan. Would I use again not in a million years.

No delivery, if you think about getting your food delivered, dont. It wont turn up. 50% offer sounds good, 'till you realise you wont get your food. Still won't answer your calls after 2.5hours. Not the first time deliveries taken over 2 hours, but now they've reached a new record *nothing*.

We went there for a reunion of old friends. Five of us, some of us not having seen each other for years. Khana was an excellent choice. Food was excellent and so were the staff. Would we go again? Definitely.

Khana is the pre-eminent spot In South East London for connoisseurs of Indian food. The chef cooks amazing food that myself and my partner can't get enough of. I highly recommend the prawn puree, salmon tikka (divine), paneer tikka and shish kebab starters. For mains, you can't go wrong with the king prawn dishes. My partner raves about the chicken tandoori and lamb shashlik. I have never tasted a better daal, outside of our household. All staff are attentive and polite, and the owner insists on feedback so that the restaurant can grow. All food can be ordered to suit any particular desires. A truly amazing restaurant.

Ordered a few weeks ago, order delayed in delivery. The reason for the delay, new delivery driver. Food was luke warm and not spicy. Will not use again.

We are normally avid jalsha customers but decided to try somewhere new. So glad we did! The afghani lamb arrived and was so fragrant we were in heaven! Also had the aubergine bhaji which was gorgeous- not watery at all, which is often a problem! Waiter was incredibly helpful, patient and polite and aside from being wonderfully tasty, the food was also very reasonably priced. Will certainly be coming back. The wine list was also very reasonable, and the Merlot very drinkable. Thank you for a lovely experience.

My partner and I always have food from this restaurant. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. They also do an amazing takeaway and we order from here often.

Update This was the 3rd time ordering from this restaurant and this time wasn't as good as the 2nd time. The rice had way too much turmeric and was not flavoured well. The sauce for the bombay aloo was not nice as last time also.

This spot is perfect to sit outside in marquee and watch the football! They were extremely accommodating, and were so friendly. And the food is amazing! Would definitely recommend, for either a nice meal or just a fun time.

THE best Indian cuisine I have EVER tasted, the food is outstanding and the staff are absolutely lovely. What's not to like!? In a word, FABULOUS!!!!! It's also a wonderful place for a party too.

I have been to Khana a few times, and I have been left speechless ever time. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and and attentive. The food is the best I have had in a long time. It was so good we decided to hold a private party at the location. The staff and owner in particular couldn't help enough. He genuinely cared and treated us as an individual person and not another customer. The price is extremely reasonable for the experience. I normally enjoy experimenting restaurants and comparing them to see which is best, I may have to stop doing that now. 5 stars, (I would give more if I could).

While visiting my brother recently my husband and I (along with my brother) went to Khana for a meal and have to say it was without doubt the best Indian meal we'd ever had. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a great meal.

Too spicy couldn’t taste the flavours as got hotter and I like it hot but this wasn’t like that just too spicy Services all or nothing hard to get bill missed my train home.

Visited Khana on a wet Tuesday evening in May and was surprised that it wasn't empty. We had the Tuesday £9.95 offer, which consists of a classic curry, any rice, any bread and four mini onion bhajis. The food was delicious, well cooked and amazing value. The only downside was the time it took for the food to be brought out. It took the best part of an hour, which, for saying there were only five other diners by this point, wasn't great. But the food was worth it in the end.

This is my second review of Royal Kitchen. What an amazing restaurant. Once again we came on an excellent value Groupon voucher. We ordered chicken madras, butter Chicken and chicken dopiaza, basmati rice and stuffed parathas. All of the food was delicious and piping hot, the parathas are out of this world! Raj once again was an attentive host and even gave us a complimentary chicken tikka starter. We will be back for sure, thanks again Raj!!

Waited one hour before food came. Hot plates but cold tasteless food. Service poor served customers who came after us first. Ladies toilet had no light so was unable to use the services. Would definitely not go back. Changed their name but was told still the same chef and owner. Really do need to step it up a gear.

Ordered online for Mothers Day at 6.30pm, nothing was delivered and they don`t answer the phone. Avoid if you want to place an order for a special occasion only to be badly let down with no option to contact the restaurant ! utterly poor customer service ...

Cannot fault the front of house staff, however it is clear that unfortunately the cooks are understaffed as our starters took circa 2hrs to be brought to our table, whilst lots of orders were being collected and delivered. Having been to the restaurant a number of times this experience is hopefully an isolated occasion and hope next time we visit our meal will arrive in a timely manner and all at the same time.

Lovely staff and food was delicious. Was planning a quick meal after work but stayed much longer. Enjoyed the excellent atmosphere and speaking with very friendly staff. Raj was brilliant and attentive and really looked after us well. Each dish was perfect.

I had chicken tikka starter, butter chicken & rice main and a plain naan bread. All cooked very well and plenty of flavour.

Had a lovely dinner with friends for my birthday. Food was very good and well priced. Staff were very friendly and even gave us a free cake! Would recommend.

The service is beyond excellent and staff is amazing ! It was my friends birthday and they played birthday music and brought us a cake and extra naan completely free of charge ! The staff is lovely and beyond diligent. It was very quite in there though for a Friday evening. I want to say there were maybe three families in there but I hope they get many more visitors.

I did a Groupon not knowing the restaurant has it's own deals. Booked the table for 6pm thinking we'd be out by 7.30 ish but the place filled up very quickly and I don't think the staff was ready for that amount of people so service was a bit slow but NO complaints about the lovely food that was served. Wonderful food, friendly staff, shame no desserts

My wife and I came here for the first time using a £40 food and drink spend via Groupon. Raj the waiter was amazing, we ordered poppadoms, curries, rice and nan and were given complimentary onion bhajis. All of the food was fresh, hot, tasty and plentiful and we even had leftovers. When we pointed out that we had ordered stuffed paratas and had been given plain, he gave us one on the house. All in all a lovely meal, we will definitely be returning and thanks again Raj!

Excellent Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant always exceeds expectations. Live in Bexleyheath & been here 3 times now in last 12 months & each time we come the food gets better & better. Superb variety of food, generous portions, good value for money. Tonight had Lamb Korai & it was so tasty! Very clean establishment & waiters always very friendly & professional & you never feel rushed. Special mention to Raj our waiter on last 2 occasions fully attentive to all our needs. Will definitely keep coming back, better than anywhere else in South East London.

We went to the Royal Kitchen on a Tuesday for a friends catch up. The ambiance in restaurant was inviting and relaxing, which was a great start. We ordered from a fixed price menu, there was so much food. It was delicious, cooked really well and definitely value for money. The service was very good too, Raj was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, yet we were left alone to chat for as long as we wanted. I think we were the last to leave the restaurant, after having a complimentary glass of Baily's. I have no hesitation in recommending Royal Kitchen and will be going again.

Royal Kitchen is absolutely brilliant the premises are immaculate, I live at Dartford and probably pass 20 Indian restaurants on the way to Sidcup but the great service and the quality of the food is worth the journey. Muz and staff have a great business here in Sidcup this is a must visit restaurant!!

15/11/23 on entering this restaurant we were welcomed by Raj who was very professional We placed our orders and was served in good time the food was very good I had the chicken vindaloo with mushroom rice. I mentioned that I like spicy food and liked a few chillies when the meal came he also presented a small plate of fresh chillies for me also a portion of onion bhajis on the house I will definitely visit this place again I highly recommend this restaurant thanks Raj

Visited with my husband using a Groupon voucher - the food was good, service good and the restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. The restaurant has lots of offers for different days of the week and it would have been cheaper to have gone on their Wednesday banquet night which I'll remember for next time. An enjoyable meal.

Went to the Royal Kitchen on a Monday night as a group of 5. From booking phone call to leaving the restaurant it was nothing but excellent. Excellent service. Excellent food. Lovely and clean and very well presented. I must give a special mention to Raj, our waiter, who was absolutely superb and looked after us for the evening. A massive thank you to Raj and the team. We shall be back.

Nice food but delivery is a nightmare they don’t update you never pick the phone up and will take at least 2 hrs for your food.

I came here last week for my father in laws birthday, we were a large group on a Saturday night and all the food came quickly and was cooked to perfection. The service is great , such lovely staff! One of the best South asian restaurants I have been to. 10000% recommend🩷
