Super expensive Nice steak, would have preferred the option for some sauce. Starters and sides were poor

Really nice place with great staff and excellent food. Probably for a special meal as it’s not the cheapest but the quality is fantastic.

The food was reasonably good, the restaurant was clean, well decorated and the staff were attentive without being overbearing, however, the experience was overpriced in my opinion and this largely came down to the food The steaks were cooked too fast and unfortunately almost every dish was lacking in finesse (stupid word but the best I could come up with). The grill was too hot meaning the center was too raw when the outside was cooked, they weren't rested long enough before slicing, etc. several of the sides lacked seasoning. My tuna tartare lacked punch and flavour, unfortunately I could go on. In summary, the experience lacked the extra details that would have helped to justify the extremely high price tag.

We love the Hawksmoor but Sagardi Galician Beef is on another level good, it was juicy and cooked to perfection, considering this is the same price as Hawksmoor- £13.5 per 100g. Sagardi is much better value. Amazing Spanish wine selection, starters, sides and dessert all deliciously made.

The atmosphere and the service was perfect but the food was shambolic (Sunday Roast dinner). Everything tasted burnt even the kale and the Yorkshire pudding. Only the steak was tasty but that didn’t even make up for the price. I was shocked by the burnt flavour exploding in my mouth. After the dinner we went to the banh mi place across the street and it was way cheaper and tastier than what we got. Only advisable if one has a particular fondness for burnt kale, underwhelming Yorkshire pudding, subpar roast vegetables, and a rather uninspiring gravy. Toodles 💃

As someone who’s dined at Asador Etxebarri multiple times and knows exactly what a proper Galician steak should be, I can confidently say this place is a disgrace. The steak was a total failure—dry as cardboard on the outside, yet practically bleeding on the inside. No one even asked how I wanted it cooked, and what I got was a chewy, undercooked mess that was borderline inedible. For a restaurant pretending to be serious about meat, that’s just embarrassing. The starters were laughably basic. Grilled asparagus, sausage, and leek that tasted like someone threw them on a pan at home and called it a day. Zero finesse, zero depth—just overpriced mediocrity passed off as “rustic.” But the biggest insult came at the end: their so-called Basque cheesecake. I don’t know what that was, but it was definitely not Basque, and definitely not cheesecake. It tasted nothing like sheep’s cheese, had a weird rubbery texture, and was just downright unpleasant. Whoever approved that dessert should reconsider their career. This place has absolutely nothing to do with Basque cuisine. As someone who visits San Sebastián and Bilbao regularly, I find it offensive that they dare use the word “Basque” in their branding. It’s misleading at best, and culinary vandalism at worst. Avoid unless you’re into overpriced food that disrespects the traditions it claims to represent.

Top end ingredients, well prepared. Only one other table in for lunch so atmosphere a little flat but will definitely return as the steak is perhaps the best I have had in London.

Best steak in London! What an incredible experience, all of the employees were lovely and very helpful with explaining elements of the menu. There were so many things we wanted to order, we will have to come back and try the fish next time but their premium steak was absolutely incredible. Have already recommended Sagardi’s to all of our friends and family

Visited sagardi for a birthday celebration. The steaks very delicious, possibly one of the best steak’s I’ve eaten. The steaks dont come with anything but personally didn’t think the sides we ordered we necessary. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful especially when it came to wines with the extensive selection. Very expensive but good quality food. I personally disagree with the concept of service charge, especially when enjoying plenty of wine and having extra percentage charge feels cheeky, but its discretionary but can feel awkward. Despite this, was delicious and i would recommend

Amazing lunch. Went for the 1160g Txuleton steak and 500g fish shared between 3 with a few sides. Phenomenal! Especially the steak. They cook it over charcoal and it melts in your mouth.Very friendly staff and nice setting.

A wonderful Basque Country experience. There is great pride in the cooking. This was very evident in the restaurant manager passionately stroking his meat ahead of our menu selections. I want to come back for grannies fish soup but for now happy with the great food, wine and wonderful service

Excellent food. Finally a place to eat quality meat in London. The rest of the places are not worth it. Exquisite attention. The only drawback, to put it one, is that having such good coals, they don't make roasted potatoes to accompany the meat. The rest spectacular. I will try the fish again.

The beef was outstanding. The sides of veg weren’t your traditional ones but we all really liked them. The potatoes weren’t the best was 2 other opinions in my party but I liked them. The Yorkshires were good. Great service, very friendly & helpful at recommending wine for us. Can’t wait to go back

This is the best piece of meat i have eaten since i have lived in the UK. Excellently grilled to perfection, rare & just melt in your mouth delicious. Paired this with their salad and the grilled peppers, local cider & house red! Will definitely be back with friends!

One of my favorite restaurants in London. Full Basque dining experience feels like you're back in Bilbao or San Sebastian.

Great bone-in ribeye selection, perfectly dry aged for 30 or 60 days depending on your preference, and masterfully cooked! Starters are also high quality, artichokes with ham on Serrano are a must!

The Galancian steak was amazing, probably best I've had in London. The wine and other dishes we ordered were OK. Service was nice. The set-up inside is a bit boring and looks a bit chainy.

The steaks are good. They push them as soon as you are seated. The Other dishes were ok but nothing special. If you go for the steaks you'll enjoy them but be prepared to pay top prices. There not any better than equivalent style steak specialists

Understated basque excellence in a lively part of town. Stripped back interior, expert service and large hunks of meat ready to grilled with buckets of salt. A nice range of dishes, not too many, purely authentic basque. Highly recommend for people wanting exceptional dining in a different part of town to the norm.

2nd visit, and exquisite again! I think this could be my new favourite restaurant in London. Service was excellent, food incredible. Wine list is extensive and full of gems. The txuleton (hefty slab of beef to you) was mouth wateringly good: perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. Highly, HIGHLY recommend you visit.

As Spanish I dare say that this place is wonderful and product is fresh and extremely good quality. We enjoyed dinner very much and we are sure that we will back.

The aged meat was stunning. Those peppers wow. Not complex cooking for all these, but the quality and end result was breathtaking.

One of the best food experiences I had in London.

Steak is a funny thing.. it can be a stunning life changing experience, or it can be banal and boring.... Guess which this experience was.... Ibai, Hawksmoor, and half a dozen steak restaurants are so much better... For 125 quid a head with only a single glass of wine each, it was utterly overpriced, and the steak was under seasoned and just...average... I've had Gallician beef many times, and it normally has a lot more flavour... Feel utterly ripped off, and I have no problem spending the same money in other places...

Best steak I've had in England.

Absolutely amazing! The service alone stood out, we went for a cigarette after a massive steak (which was outstanding) and the waiter even asked us if we would like to put the croquetas on hold so they would be hot when we sat down again. Perfection!

Excellent food. Quite a basic environment and extremely pricey ie 260 quid for 2 people and we only had one beer each.

We had the roast dinner platter here between the two of us. It wasn’t your classic roast dinner, but it was decent. The steak included with it tasted good although it had a bit too much fat on it to eat around. The ratatouille & creamy spinach dishes were nice. The waiters we had were very friendly & one of them took their time to explain different wines to us, which was appreciated as we were unsure which red wine to get. If I return here, I’d definitely go for a steak instead of the roast as the roast seemed overpriced for what it was (one platter priced at £60 for two people).

Went a few years back and was rather disappointed with the service (lack of staff, unattentive) and had left it as a 50/50 chance to return.... and was pleasantly surprised when I returned recently! The food was absolutely fantastic and the new team looked after myself and my guests so well!! Will definitely be coming back more regularly now :)

Simply the term of reference for steaks… every time I have a steak anywhere in the world, it doesn’t matter how good it can be, I always find myself thinking “yeah… good… but Sagardi steak…”. It never disappoint to dine here

It is never disappointing to come to Sagardi. The meat is of highest quality and cocked with love. The wine cellar is impressive offering rare Spanish wines!

Came for the Sunday roast. Also my first time having a Sunday roast. Not your traditional roast dinner. The steak was juicy, though we weren’t given the option of how we wanted it.

Visited for dinner last week for my birthday. Both shared the tasting menu which was fantastic. Service excellent, nice atmosphere and prices reasonable for the quality of the food and wine. Highly recommend!

La experiencia más extraña. Dos grandes trozos de carne se muestran en la mesa. Cuando pedimos otra comida camarero dice “¿está seguro?” y decimos que sí. Camarero continúa ”¿Estás seguro de que no quieres nada más?” Empezamos a preguntarnos si todo lo demás en el meny es tan malo o si nos están empujando a pedir el filete de 100 libras que no podemos permitirnos. Este restaurante ha olvidado cómo tratar a todos los clientes por igual. No se supone que hagas que los clientes se sientan avergonzados por sus elecciones. El servicio es definitivamente mejor en las mesas donde la gente pide opciones caras y eso no está bien. ¡Deja de hacer todas estas preguntas! Toma el pedido, entiende que todos los clientes son los que pagan tu salario y que tenemos diferentes oportunidades y economía. Nos hiciste sentir inútiles y no deseo eso para nadie que esté fuera para una buena comida.

However, upon arrival, we were informed that this option was only valid on Sundays, a detail that was not clear during the booking process... No alternative solution or compensation was offered, which was disappointing. Simply unprofessional. Additionally, having recently undergone knee surgery and with inclement weather outside, I was looking for a relaxed dining experience. We chose the £76 per person menu expecting a high quality meal. While the bread and meat were quite good, the fish omelette and other dishes fell short in flavour and overall quality.

The Txuleton was absolutely amazing! Black puddings were better than I expected. Of course, basque cheesecake was so delicious. All of the staffs were kind and friendly. House wine was good with the steak. Definitely recommended for family!

El lugar está muy bien ubicado, la comida es bastante buena, salvo los pimientos del.piquillo que eran de particular interpretación. El problema es que tienen un baturro como encargado con una soberbia inversamente proporcional a su corta estatura se presentó como el manajer. Le.pedimos dos órdenes.de croquetas, y para hacerse el interesante dijo " las croquetas no se pueden dividir le traigo cuatro...." bueno. Luego trajo una fuente de hielos usada, aun con la botella vacía de otra mesa en un acto de torpeza suprema y groseria. Lastima de cocina qué es espléndida y de que los ingredientes sean de primera, y que la experiencia se frustre por la mediocridad de una persona que seguramente es totalmente ajena a la industria de la hospitalidad. 700 libras de.cuenta para hacer este comentario.

The beef was really tasty but slightly chewy. Awkward atmosphere. The staff weren't very energetic or attentive. Had high expectations but wouldn't visit again.

I had a reservation with my girl on a Saturday afternoon. The host sat us down at the table mentioning that they need the table back in 2h which is fine plenty of time for 2ppl, if it wasn’t that we had to wait 1h before the order was taken. We ordered 1.2kg of Txuleton cow which arrived cold and out of 1.2kg probably just 350g was meat the rest was a massive bone right in the middle. We had some sides which they were fine and a nice bottle of red. Overall the food was ok but definitely not worth it the money, service below the standards for London hospitality if you think of 12.5% service I had to pay (£30). Worth it to try, but didn’t left me satisfied.

Disappointing food. Lacklustre flavour, small portions, ridiculously expensive for what they serve. We ordered coke which charged at £3.5 and didnt even give us the can or bottle, just half of a small glass. The lamb trotters were just bones, took me less than 6 minutes to finish the plate while spending most of it picking the bones out. Lettuce salad dish had more raw onions than lettuce. Everything was underwhelming and disappointing. Save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere else better

The best Basque food in London. If you visit, order a good bottle of wine (from their large repertoire of bottles) and an old beef steak. Great restaurant, exquisite food and great service.

A man called Leo served us and refused us a table even when there was no one at the restaurant he’s been told to not take any bookings but there wasn’t even 1/3 of the restaurant full.Was very rude and once we booked online and confirm the booking still told us there was nothing we could do very rude would never come back awful service.

Great love it, will be back again

The steak was terrible and isn’t worth that money. I decided to pay that much for a small portion of steak because it looked amazing in the Instagram advertisement, but in reality, it wasn’t like that. Not only was the steak horrible, but even the other dishes were lacking flavor. Apart from the atmosphere and the variety of wines, there isn’t anything interesting.

Over priced. Food is good but not as good as the price suggests. Tuna starter was almost microscopic. £10 for a couple of slithers of fish on toast. Gritty kale, “twice cooked wedges” were just overcooked wedges. Our waiter tried to take our monkfish (£98) sauce and seemed to think it weird that we would want it. I won’t be back.

Recommended to carnivorous friends, the very delicious charcoal-grilled bone-in steaks, and a lot of good wine to choose from. My sons ate more than 3kg of meat, a very satisfying and satisfying meal. Will come again next time~

Stake was not prepared correctly (no rested or salted) Over 1,1kg stake took only 20min to prepare. After giving feedback to waiter, he ignored us. The actual dry aged premium meet was good. We left diassapointed and unsatisfied.
