Very rude people. I have never experienced something like that. They didn’t like what we are ordered. You need to order expensive products to make them happy. That is the condition to feel like a customer.

Wow just wow the food is amazing and the quality of the produce speaks volumes for its self. The staff are second to none I eat out a lot this place is very special to me.

It was my first time trying Turkish food and I loveeee it so much. The waiter was super friendly and he took time to explain the menu as I didn't know what I wanted to try. The portion was huge that we couldn't finish it all, yet the price was very reasonable and we were also provided with free bread and salad. The lamb was very tender, juicy and flavourful. I'd definitely come back to try more Turkish food.

Although I have eaten at many places since I came to London, I can say that this place has the best meat and wraps I have eaten in a long time. Be sure that it will be as good as Turkey.

These guys were absolutely lovely. Went for a mixed grill, nice set of mixed dishes, really tasty. The servers were really friendly. Local family vibes. Would go again.

I just have ordered food from this restaurant through Uber Eats and I have to say that the food was very well wrapped. I have ordered two soups, and one lamb wrap. Soups were in plastic containers and wrapped in cling film. I'm impressed ! the food is absolutely delicious! Thank you very much! You won me over as a customer! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Got the mixed grill for one, came with chicken and lamb cubes, wings, and a minced meat beyti with salad and pickles for about 24. They also do a tasty meaty stew with potatoes and lentil soup. Real generous portion of bread too!

Well I dined there on Christmas evening I wanted try a different experience which I did!, it was good what I ordered the price was👌🏾 too, the service was prompt felt comfortable there was full up after finishing my meal. I would definitely eat there again.

Lentil Soup is absolutely delicious! I always order my lentil soup from here, the portion is just right, the bread always arrives warm and the pickled salad is a nice touch with it too. I recommend this soup as I can’t complain about it at all. The restaurant can get very busy, so go at a quiet time or takeaway if you suffer with anxiety! Staff are lovely though when I have visited. But I do prefer a delivery.

This place gets busy especially on an evening or a week end. The food is good here, but my absolute favourite is the rice pudding with a baklava inside it! Sometimes I crave it… and after eating somewhere else, or even if I’m driving passed this place, I stop off for my favourite dessert.

The staff ignored me when I first walked in busy talking amongst themselves which was off putting but when I managed to order my breakfast it was quite nice and reasonably priced for London and staff became quite helpful after initially being quite rude.

AVOID! AVOID! Was walking home from work between the hours of 5:55-6:25, walking past the restaurant I had uncomfortable remarks & motions made towards me by one of the male members of staff. Will never dine here, nor would recommend.

The food is decent but certainly not the best value in the area. However, the place is very nice, service extremely friendly and they let you sit for food until midnight which is a treat. The perfect spot for a late dinner

Be careful when you go to this restaurant, we been OVERCHARGED by the female waiter at the counter. We won't be coming in again. Always check the price before you go in and pay for it. I won't be coming in again. This is my last time.

Stumbled upon Somine one evening after a show at Earth. From the moment we entered the staff made us feel very welcomed and provided great service. Quickly found the dishes we were interested in. After have traveling to Turkey and living mainly in the states, I can say this Turkish food really proves to me the wonders of kebob in London. Somine in particular is a great unassuming place with unbelievable value. Cheers Eric

I first checked this restaurant out because many Turkish people I know recommended it, so obviously I was going to take this on board. I’ve been going to Simone regularly now for about 10 years, and in the last year or so about fortnightly, so you can traduce I like this place a lot. Mostly, I visit there on my own and this feels OK because it had a very relaxed feel, and is not a formal dining kind of place. It’s a very relaxing place to sit and watch the world go by outside as it has large glass windows onto the street on two sides. When you sit down you get served immediately, and you don’t have to wait long for your food to arrive. I confess I’ve never eaten from the fixed menu but choose dishes that are on display under glass at the front of the restaurant. These include various meat and a vegetarian dishes. I often go for the lamb shank which is always beautifully cooked. Today I had aubergine stuffed with minced lamb, served with red bulgur wheat, salad and plenty of warmed bread. It was delicious. The meat is so flavoursome. The salad very fresh and crisp, and it comes with a complimentary Turkish tea if you request it. The restaurant is also extremely clean and the tables always clean. The above mentioned meal by the way came to £12. If you like good quality tasty authentic food, served in a diner like environment in the middle of hustle and bustle Hackney, this is it.

I used to go a lot in the past to this restaurant, the food was very delicious and cheap. After years I took my husband and my son, price was three times expensive than before and the food was terrible, meat was smelly we felt sick after we had dinner. And forced us to paid service charge for food make us sick!! Never ever we will go again!

I went to Somine after a stand-up gig at Earth and the food was definitely a incredible ending to a good evening. The staff were welcoming and funny and the food was delish ! We had the mixed grill which was juicy and hot - perfect for a rainy evening. The meal was meant to be for a single person but the portion size was so generous that two of us enjoyed it and there were still leftovers. It was the first time I had pickled veggies with my grill and LOOVED IT, needless to say I will always order the side now. I'm still on a student budget and love how Turkish meals come with complementary hot breads ! One last shout out to the staff who were as funny as the comedian we watched ! Absolute legends !

I've been coming to this restaurant since I moved to the neighbourhood about 5 years ago. And recently, I went there for lunch with a visiting relative. When I got the bill, I noticed we had been overcharged: the waiter decided to charge for items usually included in the dish, like extra sides of rice, etc. I wanted to call the waiter's attention, but my relative didn't want us to make a fuss about it. But after being a loyal customer for many years, I find this quite upsetting. Somine is no longer on the list of restaurants I will be visiting.

Meat soup "paça" was very tasty and filling. Also Adana kebab(mince kebab) was juicy and medium cooked inside, well cooked outside which is perfect balance for this kebab. Loved the fast service, friendly staff and reasonable priced high quality Turkish food here. Highly recommended from Turkish foodie person ;)

If I’m gonna pay a tenner for a chicken wrap. I’m gonna pay for these guys. Wrap Made fresh nice and squidgy with a bit of crunch. Flavours and fillings super original and authentic. The piece de resistance is the fact the wrap is the height of my calf. Chefs kiss ✔️

One of my favourites - lovely friendly welcoming staff always a pleasure food is affordable and very good quality you get a lot for your money. Best kofta wraps and rice pudding! Miss this place since I moved away from London and can’t wait to return

Had okra & chickpea stew plus saksuka. My favourite aubergine stew was finished as it was almost midnight but as always the food & service couldn't be faulted. I asked for extra bread with my leftovers, offered to pay, they refused.

Best lamb soup in London…honestly it’s the nuts!

I had soup here It was delicious. however, when I went to pay, I could not have the same satisfaction because the person at the cashier rudely stated to me that he could not take card payments under 10 pounds. I almost felt guilty for not having cash with me. It is one of the businesses with weak tradesmanship in London. First you have to learn how to talk to people.

An excellent meal...good quality meats ,breads and salads..plus they have a good vegan menu as well. . They always seem to be full with locals which is a good sign. Not too expensive either. They do sell beers and other alcohols. Worth the effort

Simple but hearty Turkish stews served with salad, pickles, bread and rice. A fixture of Kingsland road for a long time. Comforting food, good portions, quick service, no nonsense lokanta (Turkish worker's lunch spot) style. Nice big windows on a street corner if you want to people-watch or just sit there on a rainy day and get cheered up with some nourishing hot food I remember it used to be crazy cheap around the mid-noughties (£4 for the whole meal IIRC!). More like a £10 or £12 these days, which is not so bad considering, although you can get fancier versions of these stews in other nearby restaurants for a similar price, there's still a nostalgia that brings me back sometimes.

If you are looking for daily Turkish homemade dishes, this place is highly recommended.
