Absolutely delicious as usual.

Really delicious food. Plenty of meat. One of the best curries I’ve ever eaten. The deliverer worked for the restaurant and was polite and friendly. Years ago I ate a curry at a restaurant where this chef previously worked and have wanted to find the same flavour ever since. I was delighted to learn that chef now works here. I know where I’ll be ordering my curries from for now on.

Restaurant quality food delivered to your door. Never disappoints. Don't bother with anywhere else. This place is the best in York, hands down. 👍🏻

Ordered for the first time last month as we didn't realise it was there. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The second time we ordered it was slightly longer but they were very apologetic. We have had curries from there 3 times now and all have been delicious. Really tasty not just creamy but full of flavour and plenty of meat. Would recommend 👌

well where to start with this culinary delight, 1hr late restaurant forgot the order…. Del driver arrived extremely high rate claiming he’d been knocking for days when it turned out he was outside a whole minute.. food was clap cold and very sweet!Butter chicken well if that’s a tradition butter chicken well that means I was born in Delhi… If I could attach photos I would, the sauce on one curry eroded the sealant on our dining table!! A radioactive substance which will no doubt end in death! 🏴‍☠️

Gave these guys a try for the first time tonight. I rang up to place my order. Wow. Helpful kind polite helpful actually listened and got everything. Right. Then the food came. Wow. Stunning. Out of this world incredible. I couldn't stop eating. I just wanted more. U defo have a new customer. I will say one thing tho. Make Ur chips thicker. Thank you for an outstanding meal

chicken tikka saag was excellent asked for it a bit spicy and it was perfectly made, all the flavours were there along side the requested heat. My partners chicken tikka masala was also requested with a bit of spice and again it was perfect, best one we've ever tasted. Everything was top notch and will be the new curry spot

One of my favourite curries. I wish I lived close enough to order regularly. Ordered on JustEat - they arrived within the window but still apologised for being delayed by traffic, and the food was great.

Please can you ask whoever was on rice, to wash the spring onions next time? We couldn't eat the rice as the grit from the spring onions was all over it.. ☹️

Late with delivery, however, driver was really nice and apologised. The food itself was really hot, so it made up for the late order. Overall, pretty good. I think the rice could be a bit better but was tasty and lamb was soft. Thank you!

I usually eat from Indian Ocean which is just as good as this. I wanted a Lamb Tikka Masala as I didn't fancy Madras and wanted a change turns out Indian Ocean don't have them on their menu so searched where I could get one and choose here. Curries are never average usually they are bad or brilliant no in between. It came in about half an hour glowing red and looked like it was full of flavour and man was it this was absolutely beautiful hot and just made my stomach very happy. For this dish I will order here say no more absolutely beautiful!

Food took an hour and twenty minutes on a weeknight - not sure what happened there. It tasted fine but chicken was chewy, quite disappointed really.

The chops were cold and chewy and so was the lamb bhuna. Chips were hard and so was the nan bread.

Not the best food today. Dishes seemed greasier, and the Vegetable Balti was 90% onions - for a main meal, we felt short-changed.

Just ordered a meal and half the menu was missing rang up to complain to be told that was what we ordered which it wasn't and still charged full price! Wouldn't even reimburse or listen to us when we told u what we ordered but still charged us for everything that was missing!

Poor food, too spicy and salty. cheap ingredients. Not worth of what I paid for. Not worth the money.

Fantastic, hot and delicious, definitely my go-to Indian now. Also appreciate that they just do sauces of the main curry flavours which are great as a side rather than getting a whole other main dish. Awesome.

I have had several meals from Saffron Spice now. Mainly Chicken garlic chilli balti. The food is always delicious. You can tell that quality ingredients are used. The staff are friendly and helpful. If I want something slightly different, nothing seems to be a trouble. If you like your curry hot, I can highly recommend the Lanka piaza chef's special. Not disappointing with the heat and doesn't compromise on flavour. Our new favourite takeaway in York.

Consistently the best takeaway in Acomb, if not the whole of York. We especially really love the chicken livers, tarka dahl, puri. I could eat those every day and be very happy. Beautiful authentic genuine hearty food.

I'm always a bit sceptical about curry houses given that I have a nut allergy and some places have been utter rubbish when it comes to helping. Saffron Spice though went the extra mile. Rang them up to enquire, and the guy at the end of the phone showed full understanding and respect from the word go. He sorted me out a dish, and I was able to enjoy my meal at home without any problems. This has now become my local curry takeaway. If you have an allergy or intolerance, give them a ring - they're bloody awesome.

Been looking for a good apna style takeaway and this definitely hit the spot! Service and food 10/10 so i'll be making this my regular takeout spot for sure :)
