I was actually recommended this place by one of my colleague who said it was alright so I went there on Saturday and the chicken was rubbery and undercooked and the curry sauce tasted too sweet and lacked the flavour it’s supposed to have . I also ordered some onion bhajis which were cold and were not fresh at all tasted like the day befores that were left. The whole atmosphere was a bit weird It ruined my experience and my night, specially the staff when I asked them politely about changing my dish they were very rude.

Good menu, wide range of starters, special dishes, signature dishes plus all the traditional curries. Poppadoms are good which is always a good indication. I've had a samber, madras and a couple of specials - all very tasty. I would suggest asking for less oil as the odd dish is swimming in it. One this is absolutely for sure is take your own drinks, it's unlicensed so you will need to for alcoholic drinks, but definitely take your own soft drinks - it will save you a fortune.

Been to The Saffron on quite a few occasions and have always found the food and service excellent. On our most recent visit it was very quiet but it was quite early. Recommend the special menu at £14.95 which, when coupled with the fact that you take you own alcohol, makes it a very affordable meal. Please don't forget that they do sell soft drinks. We felt slightly guilty when we went in armed with diet coke for my wife. Would confidently recommend this restaurant.

very nice, not ridiculously expensive.

The food is nice but after a poor delivery experience we tried it again and having it ordered it at 19:35 with a planned delivery at 20:13 it finally arrived at 21:15!!!! We rang 2-3 times to chase and were told 5more minutes but it never turned up. Will not be going back to try unfortunately!

Great food, hardly any others in the restaurant.

The whole Christmas Eve evening was full with family's and friends. The food is fresh, service is polite, gave us time to relax and enjoy. Coffee at end, superb.

I like Saffron a lot, it's definitely better as a sit in meal than a takeaway however both have never disappointed me. Loads of veggie options and always timely!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Stopped while passing through Disley and the food was absolutely spot on, so delicious 10/10. We were given service by the manager and a waiter both of whom were incredibly polite and dealt with our food requests patiently and went the extra mile to make sure it was what we wanted, even extra touches like putting the sauce in a separate side dish to make things easier for us. The food was also very very reasonably priced with great portion sizes. The restaurant is lovely and clean with a great atmosphere. Really recommend it overall 👌 👍

VERY VERY VERY POOR RESTAURANT, I HAVE SEEN ANYWHERE IN UK. WE ORDERED CHANA GHOST WITH CHAPATTIS. IT WAS EXPENSIVE, HOWEVER, AT 0930HOURS AT NIGHT, WE RAN OUT OF ANY OTHER OPTIONS. CHAPPATIS WERE HORRIBLY UNDERCOOKED, VERY-2 RAW ONE CAN EVEN TAKE NOTICE OF THE DOUGH THEY USED. I AM A FREQUENT TRAVELER, WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY ONE FOR THIS RESTAURANT. A SHAME ON THE NAME OF INDIAN RESTAURANTS.

We eat in Safron Disley on a regular basis and the food and service is constantly absolutely amazing. We travel the world extensively and have not found food to match Safrons. Many thanks to the management and staff. Returning soon. Colin & Jackie

Decent food best customer services.

We visited here while holidaying in Cheshire/Derbyshire over the weekend. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We will return if we're ever back in the area. I had Chicken Tikka Chilli Massala. It's take your own alcoholic drinks too so went to local shop for wine, which brought down price of the meal.

This is the best place around buy far I've had a lot of Curry's from a very lot of places but this place is outstanding just can't believe how good it is. QUALITY QUALITY VERY IMPRESSED Would just like to say I don't normally live a review at many places but you definitely depressed one thanks.

It’s not at all suitable for Indian’s, I suggest Indian’s not to go. Everything is sweet here. Did not like it at all. If I could give zero, I could have given.

The saffron makes the best curry. The flavour is gorgeous. I really wouldn't go anywhere else. Perfect Chicken madras. The flavours are delicious. Best in town it really is. Also the staff are really pleasent. And bring your own booze. Bloody perfect.

Tasty variety of food. Doesn't serve alcohol but gladly supply glasses for your own drink Serves a variety of soft drinks though. Definitely worth a visit. We go every other Wednesday. They also do a weekday meal deal

Hi all I took my gf to this bloody restaurant and she found hair in her food and when we show the hair to them the waiter said could be her hair but my gf hair is blond and the hair was block..so I won't recommended it at all because any the waiter was rude too. Regards J.w

Really nice food, Nepalese Chicken is one if the best curries I've ever had

We’ve been coming here for years, the last time I came here the food was cold with rubbery chicken the only thing nice was the chips!! We thought it might just be hit n miss, until lastnight when we came back to eat in! The atmosphere was very uncomfortable. The onion bhajis was freezing in the middle but burnt on the outside!! The chicken was definitely not fresh it had a smell too it which was ransid and hard as nails, the curry tasted like water with no taste just awful very disappointed as we still paid for the meal and came away hungry !! Very poor service such a shame because it used to be 5stars I can only guess that it’s changed over hands ?? Will not be returning sadly just hope they manage to sort out the chef because he seriously needs some training

Saffron is a great Indian - I usually collect my food as I'm impatient so can't really review delivery speed etc. I'm a veggie and all there is so much choice for me, sometimes the standard of food can dip slightly if they are busy but it's usually not an issue!

We have not been to the safron for around 15yrs. Thought we would have a trip out from Buxton. Why did we leave it so long? Delicious! Lamb chops to die for. We will be back on the 199 bus soon.

💥💥💥VERY DISSAPOINTED WILL.NOT RETURN💥💥💥 RUDE MAN ON THE PHONE Very disappointed this evening... I've been using this place for around 2 years now but tonight has put me off forever.. driving home from my mums house on her 60th birthday we decide to grab a takeaway for the family.. the food was of a low standard with rock hard chicken, stale poppadoms, onion bhajis were solid as a rock god help you if you have a filling!!! Only think nice was the curry it's self everything else was shocking including warmed up soggy chips!! Won't be using this place again which is a Shame because we have used this place for a while now...and my mum has been here years :( Customer service is shocking The guy on the phone was rude very rude indeed and did not offer any refund or anything just said next time he will knock a small percentage off the meal very upset by this experience especially as times are hard right now

I ordered some food on a Monday 9.45pm and it never arrived. After trying to get a hold of them throughout the next day. They finally responded saying that they were closed at that time (the website said they were open until 10 and google said 11) and that my order should not have gone through. I am now having call up another company about getting a refund because apparently they don't do that themselves. Giving one star because they did not get back to me to tell me the order should not have been taken, as well as how I am now wasting my time trying to get a refund from a mistake that they made.

THE best! Never once had a bad meal from this place. Everything is so delicious & fresh tasting (especially their Saffron Special curry and peshawari rice!). When we dine in, BYOB is perfect and service is friendly and fast. Collection/delivery is always fast and easy, always arriving piping hot and with generous portions.

I really like curries so was very disappointed with the meals. I've lived on India so have been to my fair share of curry restaurants. This should be avoided.

Ok but a few issues they need to sort out. Bought a madras and Rogan josh. Chicken in both was dry and chewy, the ingredients in the Rogan were not as described. It should be tomatoes and pepper. Instead it was double onions and a slice of pepper. The rice was again very dry, obviously been prepared and left far too long. It was a 1st order of the day so maybe left from the day before. Not good for new clients or eve longstanding ones.

Food and service was exceptional. Definately be returning as a regular customer.

Disappointing..... Late delivery, food luke warm, missing items, then when delivered later in the evening they were burned!

BYOB. I'm a curryhouse veteran but Saffron is my Vietnam. The onion rice haunts my sleep. I wake up thinking about the garlic tikka chicken. All that fresh garlic... I can't get it out of my head. I need to get back there man. I'm not the same as I was before. All I want is to go back

This Indian restaurant is in the village of Disley on the busy A6 from Stockport to the Peak district. There was a warm welcome to a tired traveller. The menu is comprehensive and inexpensive. The take away was opted for and a cobra enjoyed while the meal was prepared. The food was well cooked, very tasty and satisfying. This restaurant is clean and the staff are welcoming and courteous, shall visit again when in the area.
