Good, old fashioned, Friendly Pub - Well worth a visit

What a belting pub. Very refreshing to visit a proper pub with a fantastic communal atmosphere and generally welcoming environment. Cask ales are superbly well kept. Cannot fault. Anita and John are amazing, also the bar staff were in great spirits despite being very busy. Highly recommended.

Went for a drink before and after the theatre. The outside space at the back is very nice. Unfortunately, we had to move back inside later on as it was incredibly noisy with the visitors. The staff were very nice and very fast.

Lovely local! Nice outdoor area for kids. Dog friendly. Prices on point. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Nice place for events. Lush room with a fire... Still yet to kick some butt's at pool but that day will come!

Got my first 180 in there many many years a go. So it will always have a special place in my heart. I wonder if they still have a board?

Best pub in Wilmslow by a country mile

This is a proper pub, with decent genuine customers. If you're a poser or a wannabe.....this is not the place for you. Good old fashioned no nonsense landlord which is a breath of fresh air. Well run and chilled atmosphere. A place you can you go feeling a bit scruffy after dog walking and nobody will bat an eye lid. Good ale and wine .

Went here for my brother's 70th birthday. Fantastic night you know you have had a good night, when you tummy and cheeks are aching through laughing.

Great 'local' friendly pub. Not for the Cheshire set, just an honest fun place. Doing a lot with the chapel lane community with seasonal markets and events. What can I say more. I work with them regularly and they are a great community pub a real focal point. Courtney and John are fantastic.

Nothing but praise for this place. A group of 20 of us popped in unannounced on a Saturday night and the team were brilliant. Good beer. Great real pub feel. Staff were smashing. Can thoroughly recommend without reservation.

It's a traditional pub, closed quite often tho, have been twice including bank holiday Monday and it wasn't open
