Sadaf Restaurant (Garden) in Kensington and Chelsea

My wife, son, and I travel all the way from Surrey to dine at Sadaf Restaurant in High Street Kensington, and it’s always worth the journey. The food is absolutely amazing—truly out of this world! It’s by far our favorite place to eat as a family. The service is exceptional, with the staff being incredibly welcoming and attentive. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

Nice place with decent food. Large menu, but hard to pick what you want Large portions and okay to take away the rest of you haven’t finished. Food comes out quickly.

it was awful dry meat and dry rice salad was horrible I didn’t even eat my food also manager was trying ti avoid me ans my family as he found we weren’t happy with food i don’t recommend this restaurant

The food here is amazing, no doubt about it. But the service? Let's just say it could use some work. If you're not too picky about how you're treated, you'll definitely love the food. It's both tasty and filling.

5 people and self-tipping included, a shame, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The food is terrible. If you are a tourist they laugh in your face.

Service was shockingly bad, we were basically rushed out of the door after some fair to lacklustre food. Two of our party had been here before a few years ago and were incredibly disappointed by the decline in standards.

We ordered Chenjeh(lamb diced) and Kashko bademjan , but between the meat , there were some pieces of liver!!! It was obvious from the taste and texture! I didn’t like both at all!

I was so disappointed with the service at this spot. We had guests and we went there, staff they wasn’t be bad but the owner of restaurant he was very rude and he had very bad attitude. The food and service not exactly same as what they describes on Instagram or website I never go back there.

Visited this restaurant today and would 100% recommend it to everyone. The food was delicious and quickly served, staff is friendly, fresh bread added an extra layer of comfort. Also, the portions are big and you might have to take the rest home with you 😊

I have visited the restaurant today 06/08/2022 ordered seabus fish asking to replace the rice by bread the guy who talking the order was very rude trying to insult me making joke about my order … itelling me that he was working 15 years didn’t receive like this order!!! And I have been waiting for 18 minutes for someone to take my order. It’s absolutely disgraceful ! Far from happy don’t recommend specialty for Arabic people!!!

I was really satisfied cause the atmosphere was pretty good .the food was tasty and mouth-watering,it’s clear the restaurant has skilled chef.

Had to wait ages for a table but the food was amazing. Ordered the Spicy koobideh and meze platter. Everything was fresh and so delicious!

I was deceived by the 4.2 score of Google. Before entering and from behind the window, it looks like a good restaurant, which was also busy. Upon arrival, I was met with a cold attitude from the staff. It seems that the friends were working for free and were not very cheerful (of course, they did not have any bad or insulting behavior). Before ordering the food, I asked some questions so that I could finish the proof from the beginning and not leave room for words and hadith. For example, I asked about chicken meat, do you use fillet, the answer is yes, I asked twice, are you sure? Saying one hundred percent. After the food arrived, I came to the conclusion that either I don't know what fillet is. Or our cook friend has a strange skill in destroying the fillet and turning it into meat junk. Or that the story of Fille was nothing more than a lie. (Conclude by yourself). For appetizers, I also ordered soup and pot with vegetables. The soup was good, but the bottom of the pot and the vegetables looked like cattle diarrhea and had no special taste. They wanted to force me to eat three buckets of vegetable soup at the bottom of the pot. Of course, after eating a spoonful, I returned the food. Of course, they included this returned food in the bill, which they removed with my protest. The grilled chicken wasn't bad, the batter wasn't bad either, although in my opinion, the smell of sheep was too much, like the chicken, both of which smelled strongly of sheep and stable, which is a sign of the poor quality of the chicken. I don't want to tell you about the service, only charging service, although there are many employees there, but when you need help or have a question, it takes time to find someone.

Excellent food, reasonable prices fir big portions

Poor quality food. We ordered chicken kebabs, I am not sure if it was chicken, may it was a crow or dead chicken. With this quality I don't even know if it's halal or not. I'm sure that the 5 star reviews are all from the owner's friends and family.

The space is small but cozy, the food is a bit greasy but delicious, the noise of the colleagues arranging the spoons was a bit annoying, but their treatment was good. I will definitely go to this restaurant again and recommend it

The food is delicious. No doubt one of the best Persian restaurant in london. The staff are amazing. Mainly Javad and the person who makes the bread. Hands down one of the best staff ever, very welcoming. This is why we recommend this place to all my friends.

Good is ok for the most part. Meats are sub par compared to other Iranian restaurants in London. The bread is really nice. Service is not too friendly. Staff are rough around the edges and need plenty of coaching how to welcome clients and handle client requests.

Came here to have dinner and walked in and saw that it was busy. Which is always a good sign however no acknowledgement or greeting from any of the staff. After 10 minutes of waiting we were asked to “move there”. So we moved and carried on waiting. 15 minutes and still no acknowledgment. 2 other groups had joined the while we were waiting without reservation but somehow managed to get seated and acknowledged before we did. We then approached the manager as we are still being ignored and were told in a firm tone to go back and wait. This is honestly shocking. Very rude staff and no respect. Left the restaurant and will definitely not be back.

The food is excellent and delicious and the staff are very friendly and hospitable, I do not know the names of all the staff , but I can mention Mr. Mohamed, Mr. Ali and Mr Divan who is excellent on making the Iranian bread and I encourage who ever read this message to try to dine in this excellent Iranian restaurant .

Delicious, authentic, and big portions. I got the “momtaz” for reference. Their lamb shank, grilled fish, biryani and bread are all excellent too.

Terrible food, i don’t recommend this branch at all, i tried the koobideh and it had so much fat on it and made it taste and smell disgusting.

Ordered takeaway from this restaurant. The rice, meat and even salad were smelling slightly ‘off’. Consequently, myself and my entire family got a severe case of food poisoning within hours of eating. We barely had four bites before we decided to give the whole meal a miss. Response to restaurant as I can’t respond any other way: my order number was #4511 placed on 29 November and the order was on my first name. You should be able locate this order quite easily, there is therefore no basis to request for Google to remove this review.

My first time trying Iranian/Persian quisine, and it was amazing. Exceptional service from our waiter as well - Jawad!

Starters excellent. Main course was chicken kebab. Chicken was tender and rice perfectly cooked but for English taste rather dry. I suggest you ask for something with a sauce.

Just got back to UK and after having some of the best foods in Qatar I have to say 8 was amazed by the whole experience, attentive staff, great food, starters are spot on and the best of the best their هیمه made bread is to die for, get there when you can I will be here regularly

The best Persian Restaurant in London

This restaurant is one of the worst ones in london or any other place that serves persian food. the food stunk and it was just horrible. i will give you guys a save on your money dont go here just dont

I went there today and I will say it was one of the worst Persian restaurants I’ve been in the food was a absolute 0 out of 5 starts the only reason there getting 1 star is because I have to give it 1 start to let me post it. I definitely don’t recommend this restaurant. I will never ever go here again. Horrible

The kitchen is very unhygienic, the toilet is next to the kitchen in the basement, the another toilet is in front of the dining tables on the ground floor, the quality of the food is low but expensive. They are generally very weak and dirty.

Seyed and Javad were amazing. Please give them a raise! Food was great as usual. We are permanent suckers for that Ash they serve (its a must have!!) and of course the meat always have been tasting fresh and perfectly made. They were also kind enough to give us sweets and tea as compliments. Thanks!

The restaurant is literally amazing Food and no mistakes 10/10 The price is very very reasonable We ordered a mixed grill and it came with rice, and the quantity at once was enough for two people Appetizers and Iranian bread are extremely delicious 👌🏼

The food was cooked absolutely amazingly with generous portions sizes and friendly staff that answered any questions we have. My only qualm is that the price for the "cup of tea" we had was quite small for what it was... But it was tasty.

This place is my go to . I tried few different Restaurants in London but most definitely my number one . If you’re seeking the true flavor of a Persian dishes do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Delicious food, portions are satisfying. It's an Iranian dish, but it's not much different from our kebabs. Sultan kebab was good. The tea that came in a thin glass at the end was also nice.

Most probably the best Persian restaurant in London! Apart from the Food, Service and the Atmosphere I've given 5 star for the very location it is situated at would also get a 5 star from me as being literally 5 mins walk to the High Street Kensington. Highly recommended.

Literally the best, most worth it

The food in Sadaf is very good and I did enjoy my lovely meal.

I went to use the toilet to wash my hands before eating my food and toilet is disgusting. Knowing that toilet is beside the kitchen I am so terribly disgusted. Stairs seems to be not cleaned and under their cooking tables are full of food remnants. God knows how long its been there. Cleanliness is important.

SADAF in High Street Kensington, London, is simply outstanding. Travelled over 75 countries. This Persian cuisine and delicacy is out of this world. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing something wonderful

The food is very clean, and the food is delicious to the point you can't imagine it, especially the meat kebab. The service was excellent once, but there was a little delay, but the restaurant manager, thank you. I advise everyone who visits London to come to the restaurant. This is essential.

Nice food. Went for a team meal, nice large portion sizes A lil cramped in but it Is london. Would definitely go again. No one on the team complained offer of a takeaway box for left overs as well.

I visited this Iranian restaurant for the first time. It was midweek, and it wasn’t too busy. As a full-time employee, I found some time to have a meal and enjoy a few hours with my friends. Unfortunately, it ended up being a disappointing experience. The female waitstaff served us with no smile, and their attitude felt angry and confrontational. As a woman, I found this really off-putting. I even tried to make a joke and smile to improve what must have been a bad day for her, but it seemed like I was responsible for all her life problems. Their behavior and the tense atmosphere made me decide to pack the rest of my food and finish my meal at home, where I could enjoy it in a better mood.

I live next door, the staff are rude specially the manager who is super rude. The food always come in bad condition. One time I had a reservation at 6:30pm I cam at 6:40 the host ask me wither I wait 30 mins or I should go to mc Donald’s next door. If you are nearby and you crave Persian there are many options close by such as mohsen and abadan.

The food use to be really good here, but last week when I went the mirza gusemi (strater) was very bitter, I think they used too much tomatoe puree! The kebab tastes like they have switched to cheaper produce and the salad ingredients have become less, they provide less cheese, less walnuts and less olives that before, instead now it's just a high portion of lettuce. I hope they can change back to how they use to be as I use to go quite regularly. Service is fine.

Top Persian restaurant in Kensington. Good food, great portions. Value for money. A must go to for anyone who wants a warm comfort Persian meal 👌🏾👌🏾 they could have a milder spicy sauce like tabasco instead of their deadly chilli sauce. All in all 8.5/10. They make a lot of noise while cleaning the plates and cutlery next to guest, this should be fixed/improved.

My must-go Resturant every time I visit or leave London. The food is superb, the location is great, and the staff are so welcoming. Sometimes you have to wait for at least 30 mins before you are seated, even if you reserve. This is the only issue. Otherwise, one of the best Persian cuisine in London.

A luxurious Iranian restaurant with unique taste, service and atmosphere. This is the first time I have visited and it will not be the last time.
