PAUL Earls Court in Kensington and Chelsea

I became a victim of theft here on 17 Jan 2025. Persons who sat next to me on the right side of the sofa stole my bag, shockingly in my presence. I felt the staff did not take the incident seriously when I reported this. For example, when I spoke to them initially in panic, I was barely given a glimpse. Nobody asked me whether I need help or even come outside the counter. The lady there was the only person who responded to me with some seriousness - that the security camera footage will be provided to the police when I asked for it. I believe there should be better customer/ security services at Paul should such incident takes place. I did not leave my bag unattended as it was behind my back/ literally next to my arm and partially tied to it, with all zippers closed. I am writing here to let other visitors know that they should be on guard at all times here. I believe this is the right thing, as I see a lot of customers have bags and other belongings right beside them or behind them as I did on 17 Jan. Any one of them could have been and can be a victim of theft as well.

Good food at normal prices compared to what's around. Helpful and courteous staff. As a Neapolitan, the espresso coffee is not like ours but it is still tasty, one of the best I have tasted in London. Unfortunately the prices are average so I didn't expect a lower bill than what I paid.

Espresso should be hot, like really hot.

You can't arrive at 7.45pm the place closes at 10pm and they were already cleaning the window and they didn't make anything hot anymore because they had cleaned the car…. 2 hours before closing…??? This has never happened to me at Paul's... 😳 I'm sorry... in January with the cold a nice hot chocolate wouldn't go amiss... 👎

I had a soy latte which was pretty well made and reasonably priced for the area. The door of the café was left constantly open which made it quite cold inside. Hence, three stars for 'atmosphere'. Service was also cold.

Tavern pastry shop innkeeper of a chain. However the pastas are very good. The cappuccino is also valid. Very kind staff

The baguette is a rip off for tourists

If people ask for coffee to go, they expect to have it instantly! I ordered a skinny cappuccino for takeaway and didn’t even request it extra hot, but the coffee was scalding and burned my tongue. The barista needs more training. On a positive note, the pastries are nice.

The pastry are good but waiters serving are very poorly skilled, in particular Camille.

Very good costumer service and food, and a very comfortable place.

The food is quite ok for breakfast. The staff is rather stupid. The tables are very rickety and on a Sunday it was a bit dingy.

Small place with few seats with bathroom reserved for customers. The pastry shop is good but the prices are high, 2 chocolate bags, tea and a cappuccino are £15.

The place is nice, a bit expensive for outsiders. Didn’t have the best experience as I asked for two lattes and apparently they thought it was cappuccino - and had to wait quite a bit for my coffee and explain what happened. Both coffee and the chicken sandwich were good.

Unecessary rude and obnoxious individual by the till. No manners. Awful customer service.

A very convenient go to place for desserts and coffee. The Paul here has a good amount of seatings and the pastries look so tempting. We had hot tea on a very cold morning. Also the ham n cheese baguette toast.

The worst thing is the bathroom, it is never operational, something that could be solved by cleaning it and putting a sign indicating that it is not operational.

It's not particularly delicious, but There are many types of bakeries and the coffee is good. There is only one bathroom for both men and women, but it is spacious and clean.

Nice little bakery with a wide collection of pastry products. Nice meal. Can get busy quite quickly as it is quite tight. Big cups of coffee

Went in on a Thursday at around 2.30pm, paid extra to drink in, but had to wait and bring my own drinks and food to the table. When she finished making my coffees she just dumped it and left it for me to pick up. Went to the toilet, was an absolute mess with no tissue Inside. Had to ask the woman for some tissue, she just placed it in my hand as if I was supposed to put it in the tissue holder for her. After service and seeing how disgusting the toilets were, I will not be coming back. There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area.

We stopped by Paul, a French pastry shop, while looking for something tasty. I tried the apple turnover and a cappuccino. The pastry was fresh with a nice flaky crust, but the filling was more of an apple sauce rather than apple chunks, which I personally prefer. It was flavorful, leaning more tart than sweet. There’s a small seating area in the back for those who want to dine in. The shop offers a wide variety of pastries and sandwiches, all of which looked delicious. The interior is nicely decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere.

I loved this cafeteria, a warm place to be comfortable, very clean and pleasant, I had an English breakfast tea and my daughter a delicious croissant. The employees could be friendlier and have a little more empathy with tourists.

Some very good pasta and the coffee with milk very large as we like it.

Extremely busy at nearly all of the time, well maybe a bit quiet at or near closing time, lovely staff, great coffee and delicious croissants. Go here everytime i come to London, not to be missed..

It doesn't happen often to me, but when we turned up to collect our Too Good to Go surprise bag a week ago last Monday, PAUL gave us in addition to the expected 3 items (two delicious baguettes and a yummy coffee cream sponge dessert) the biggest, most chocolatiest, most gorgeous chocolate cake ever!!! You weren't to know our visit included some special birthday celebrations and you gave me the best present! THANK YOU 🎂😁

Spinach croque & lemon canel Disappointing. Barely warm, centre cold. Lemon canel like rubber. Service at counter was great.

A must for breakfast in London. Excellent quality sweet and savory pastas. Always quick and friendly service. Recommended for quality breakfasts!

Expensive, the waiter (there are 3) does not bring your order to the table. And the worst thing, the bathrooms don't work. It is not even possible to wash your hands I don't recommend it at all

Well, I took a ham and cheese baguette and 3 small Portuguese pugging tarts for around 10 pounds, the baguette was very dry, so not recommended, the tarts were ok. You can expect more for the money.

These folks are amazing, the staff is super kind, specially Madina who is also super knowledgeable about the product, and the food that they serve is delicious. They got excellent coffee, great desserts and baked goods in general. Also, this is a great location, right in front of the train station. If you like tuna, please try their tuna sandwich, is absolutely delicious.

This facility offers no condiments at all, no salt , pepper, mayo, chilli sauce. Unfortunate because the prepared rolls look better than they taste, totally bland !

It's right across from Earls court station. It gets crowded in the mornings, but normal at other times. There are many delicious and satisfying options.

We stayed in London for 4 nights in a hotel without breakfast. Got into “Paul” by chance and didn’t change again. Best coffee, good food and great service staff. Yes, it is actually very busy in the morning. But for me it's a sign that the café is very popular. I don't understand some of the reviews. By the way, the croissants are absolutely great. I live right on the French border and think I have really good comparison options. I could not find any racist employees as specifically described in a recession. Almost all employees wear headscarves or are dark-skinned, are super nice and extremely friendly. 😘 Recommended. 👍👍👍

We went for breakfast, it was a bit crowded but we could fit. Bread and pastries are not exactly "healthy", but they are good. The coffee was good

Got tuna sandwich and jam filled mini donuts. The tuna sandwich is nothing special just tastes like a regular sandwich but the bread is really tough and hard to chew which is kinda annoying. The jam filled donuts are delish and the dough is bouncy and melt in the mouth. Gets super busy during lunch time and is veryyyy loud and their charging ports don’t work so not a lot of work can be done if you wanna work.

Cozy place, good food and variety of sweet and savory dishes. Very expensive like all the places in London.

Great Sandwiches and pastries and a good selection on dri

I legit never had this happen to me… came in and asked the staff if they just did plain bread and butter. The lady replied, no, we do Egg sandwiches, to which I said, “that’s not what I asked! Ordered something else as what I wanted wasn’t available only to see at least 4 tables having it!!! When I asked about it and pointed out to staff, they were again, rude!

Overall great cafe. Food always tastes fresh and delicious albeit being on the pricey end, lots of seating, free wifi, a toilet. The atmosphere is so-so, but its a reliable spot for catch-ups or good food, and its open until 10PM at night which makes it a lovely and quiet space to work in the evenings. The chocolate cake is so good!! Light for a brownie but indulgent for a cake and really creamy. I recommend their sandwiches! Really lovely, and the hot chocolate is good too but quite indulgent. I will say that on the third occasion I got a pastel de nata, it was quite charred. And one downside is that the prices for eating in are much higher than takeout.

There was already a long queue early in the morning, and it was not easy to find a seat to sit down and eat in the restaurant. The menu items are unique, at least you won't find them exactly the same in another cafe. Why don’t you explain why Chai Latte is so sweet?

Great coffee, good service and well located. I tried the cappuccino, chocolate donut, berry donut and chouquette.

The cappuccinos was ok, the two croissants were old and hard. Toilets were out of order. Unacceptable, in particular for the price. Avoid at all costs.

Food and drinks are always delicious. The toilet should be fixed for customers be able to use it. Very frustrated to not be able to use the toilet when I sit for lunch.

This place became our go-to breakfast place and we even went for early dinner once 🤩 Amazing pasteries, we tried a lot of them during our 5 days in London, service is Quick, I recommend for sure PAUL 😋

Excellent choice of sandwiches and desserts

Stopped in to kill some time waiting to check in to my hotel. Had some Great coffee & read my book. Nice vibe. Wasn't at all rushed, in fact I appreciate that no one at all checked on me.

We were a group of 8 people, and we had a hard time finding a good place to have breakfast in the Earl's Court area. Without a doubt this is our perfect place: Very good coffee, speed when served, and numerous options for both sweet and savory. Toasts, pain au chocolat, pastries, sandwiches with many options, juices... Quite a good price, and above all with plenty of space for everyone!

Toilet out of order.. how do I wash my hands before have food!?

A beautiful restaurant that serves food from seven in the morning, which includes various sandwiches and coffee

Average coffee. Service industrial. Offered no serviettes or cutlery with sticky although lovely croissants. Offered no milk with Americanos. Toilets out of service. £4 more expensive than Cafe Nero across the road for same thing. Croissants not as good, but the coffee is much better and service much nicer. See why people come for the bread. But won't come again unless Nero is full.

I love dropping by here from time to time for a cappuccino and dessert. Their eclairs have become a highlight for me. They're always perfectly creamy and incredibly fresh

Food is delicious and the people are amazingly polite and helpful! Dear GOD you must try their sandwiches and their sweets!! I want to come here every day!

Best quality breas with great atmosphere

Myself and my partner came to this pauls cafe for breakfast this week ...the breakfast was contaminated with human hairs and staff was seen picking their noses 👃 while dealing with food and pastries..when asked to speak to the manager ...First they tried to avoid ...after waiting for 15 minutes at the table...a middle aged fat lady arrived who gave us her name as Gabriel..[eastern european] origin ..when complained she never seems to care and walked away ...this was ruthless of her ..we felt so embarrassed..and left all the food at the table ..and left ....the food was so badly contaminated u can see the human hairs coming out of the pastries ......wasted. £ 30.00 never to go back there again...absolute disgusting...

So delicious! There was a bit of a queue out the door but it went down quickly. The service is really well organised and efficient. Hot chocolate is basically just melted chocolate, it's so thick and rich 🤤 Highly recommend the Croque Monsieur and spinach & goats cheese Monsieur 😋

They charge for dine-in, per item, and they don’t let you know upfront! Ridiculous! Terrible service too, had to ask multiple times to get napkins.

Everything is good! I took a rectangular pastry (huge) of puff pastry and apricots. The cappuccino excellent!

Facing the metro, the sandwiches are not great, the espresso is served in 1 dinette cup, the cakes are average. The prices are excessive compared to Paris, plus payment with credit card, no possibility of paying in cash. Disappointed with this place

Loved it! Very good sandwiches, the almond croissant was just perfect and the coffee as well. We were there for 3 days, and we had breakfast every morning at Paul. It just made our day so much better. The bread from the Croque Monsieur and even the croissant were always fresh. And the ladies were very sweet and welcoming. Thank you!

Excellent place, the only bad thing is one of the managers (short hair, blonde, white complexion) who treated me badly and made me pay twice because supposedly the first time she was not charged correctly. The way he made me feel was the bad experience, making me feel like I did things on purpose (not wanting to pay) and it didn't matter.

Beautiful decor, lovely ambience and faultless food. I love the cake slices from this place and the breads are from another planet.
