Came here tonight and had a lovely curry. The flavours were amazing and I really enjoyed it! The only letdown of the evening was like what many have said, we felt very rushed. Me and my friends are quite slow eaters and we were taking our time to enjoy it, and we felt like we were being watched quite a lot. I’d understand if the restaurant was incredibly busy but it wasn’t so I didn’t see the need for this. That being said, we all really enjoyed our food and overall this was a very positive experience.

Being coming here for many years, but tonight's curry take away, was not the same I've had before, I ordered a butter chicken but the colour was completely different to what I've had before,, it was nice but, not sure I want to back now, after 29+ years no sign of wyhid or rafik not sure I spelt right , but the owner

Went here with 6 friends and the food was not great. Mixed grill starter was good. The mains were terrible, the curries were tasteless, we couldnt eat the food. Unfortunately wont be back.

Went here with family going to have to say not family friendly specially on weekends when theres drunk people in the resturant food was bland from starters to mains no salt in anything prices were a little steep and whats with no card still? Most people had to go out to draw money out which isnt convinent atmosphere was ok space was limited needs improvement please

We had a mix grill for three people plus a garlic naan, and the food was super good. We also liked the presentation. Dad said over 20 times that the food was good. The desserts were large and beautiful, but did not stand out as well as the grill mix. Many people at work and the service was very good.

Mr Wid took our order. Recommended my dish and was spot on. What a genuinely lovely man Mr Wid is. He sat and spoke to my family for sometime while we had our tea and coffee. The lamb on the bone curry would put the two Michelin star Gymkhana to shame and the love the chef puts into the food is clearly evident. Great experience ,food and great value, everything you should expect from Syhiba. Its my 3rd visit to this gem and it wont be my last trip from Liverpool to eat again.

Not been in many years and still find it incredible that a busy restaurant still only accepts cash? The service was fine but my vegetarian curry only tasted of salt and hot spices? I could only tell what I was eating by looking at it and that was only a few mouthfuls. I’ve been eating curry’s everywhere regularly since the 70s but never again here? A pity as it’s a nice restaurant 🤷‍♂️

Best curry house in Halifax, I would give it 5 stars if you could pay by card or even if you got a receipt.

This was my first Experience at Syhiba. Straight off the bat. We was welcomed and taken to our seats...menu given and offered a drink. After this the Service wasn't good at all...we felt rushed to order we felt rushed to eat or drink....felt like we was been watched by floor staff(waiting to finish our meal) No communications between staff asked 3 times for the same thing....was offered the pickle tray! Never said anything about paying just said you want this...(Thinking been given something would be Complimentary) But no extra cost on bill. Was given a chipped plate. That was quite sharp edge. Also when given the Curry dish wasn't told about hottest of plate slightly burned myself .. Don't get me wrong. The food was really nice. Pictures below of Creamy Garlic Tikka Masala & Chicken Korma. With Large Garlic Naan with Egg rice and Pilau Rice. Bill just over £40 Only serve soft drinks...Have to bring own alcohol if you drink. With this been my first visit I wasn't a happy costumer. Told the desk at the end of service and he said he'll speak to the manager. Wouldn't return unless Service changes. Alot of negatives on Service. Not professional

Exceptional punjabi restaurant near Halifax. Generous portions and amazing depth of flavour with friendly and attentive service. A non licensed restaurant but you can bring your own alcohol. Highly recommended!

Second time I've been here. Last visit was on 02/04/2024. The food on both occasions was nice from starters to mains. The service was slacking abit on the 2nd visit, had to ask for drinks multiple times. I do feel they have cramped in extra tables which makes the walk ways abit of a hazard.

A fantastic place to eat the staff are very attentive the only disappointment for me was the loud music was difficult to have a conversation at the table

Excellent atmosphere very busy the service was good especially as it was jam packed in there so kudos to the waiters for attending when thy could. The food was really good and i would give it an 8 out of 10. I had the cheese and lamb samosa and seekh keebabs along with the fish and chicken pakora, lamb chops were the best i had. Theains i had was a lamb handi, meat karai as well as chicken korai and bombay aloo all in all a really good experience and would recommend to all. I would try and go when it is not busy but with this place it is very rare that it isnt busy.

Absolutely delicious food, potentially the best curry I've ever tasted. Cooked it to the heat level I like, quality ingredients, everything tasted absolutely divine and for a great price. The staff were also very attentive and friendly, 100% recommend this place.

Food is always really good from here, I go in occasionally and other times i order takeaway, usually my partner gets the door whilst I'm sorting stuff but this evening she was working so I answered, the chap said oh I haven't met you before nice to meet you gave his name and said I'm the driver for your area- such a polite and warm welcome you don't see that kind of service anymore fair play and great work

The mixed grill was excellent. Our main was undercooked but the manager took it off the bill. Excellent customer service. Recommended.

Not sure what the hype is about, nothing was above standard. Lots of food taken away. Won't be back. Mix grill fish was burnt, lacked flavour. Bouncy kebab didn't seem freshly made,. Curry was OK

Highly recommended restaurant for Indians. Food was delicious and affordable. Had meat chops, chicken poori, family garlic naan, panner mutter and chicken gravy. All are delicious. Service started with free paapad and salads.

Our family have been going to Syhiba Restaurant for about 30 years, getting to know the Owners & the many friendly staff over the years, even having my first ever curry at syhiba a chicken Bhuna. The food is quality, the Menu has so much choice on it. I would say it’s the best Curry house in Calderdale. For choice, quality, service & value, you cannot beat a Syhiba. On our last visit last Tuesday, I had a chicken Masala mild to medium, my husband had a Keema Balti Asian Style

Sorry, I don't like eating whole chillies! 😂 The food was excellent but a bit too spicy for me! You need to rate the hotness! 😂 They are great if you can't eat it all and offer a doggy bag service! Eat the remains the next day and loved it! :)

Brilliant food, friendly staff and atmosphere Yes , tad out of the way but worth it. Starters and mains were amazing. (Apologies I didn’t get chance to take photos this time) Starters were the mixed grill which consisted of chicken tikka, seekh and shami kebabs, samosas and onion Bhajis with 3 sauces! 20 out of 10 That good I was guilty of filling up on them before the mains. For the curry there was choice of naan, white or brown basmati rice. I went for the brown. Not over cooked, not dry - but perfect Curries : there were choice of 4 on our table or maybe 5? Lost track but deffo was chicken karhai, chicken tikka masala, lamb bhuna? And two more chicken dishes which I too engrossed in eating I didn’t ask.. maybe butter chicken curry? The variety is great. NO DISH WAS DROWNIN IN OIL ! They were all piping hot and cooked to perfection. I love lamb and will notice if it’s not done right / cheap meat being used but not the case here!! It was cooked to perfection. Every dish had the right level of spice so you can enjoy it without worrying if you’re going to burn your mouth out! Highly recommend this place!! Very friendly staff who keep coming around to check if there’s any issues or if for example a friend knocks over a glass or something they are surrounding you to clean it up quick and fuss over you in a nice way - making sure you are ok and are sorted. Will deffo be coming here again when back in these parts! Thanks for the wonderful food, time and service!!! Well done!

Sadly I had a bout of food poisoning from here. Not going to try and explain but the only thing I ate that day was a bowl of cereal at 6am so 100% it was from the curry. Its ruined my week. Have had 3 days off work and still not right. I'm not saying avoid the place as we have had great curries here in the past. We won't be returning ever.

This is by far the best curry Iv had in calderdale and to be honest its probably the best I’ve ever had and Iv been to many places. Not only was the curry good but all the staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. The service at this place is 💯

If you coming to this restaurant are sure you book atleast week before. 2nd maj3 sure you have 3 4 hour free. Got our starter 45 mins after we ordered everything. Don't think I would recommend to anyone and come again.

Service excellent, and a good atmosphere. Biryani not so good. Prawns overcooked, and not enough sauce. Never had potatoes in the sauce before, certainly plenty of carbs! Odd that only cash is accepted as payment.

Syhiba... As good as ever. Very consistent in quality. Always enjoy my time here. Food is always tasty.. mega huge naan breads. Nice interior. Bring your own alcohol (I prefer this as it'a cheaper and it's guaranteed you will get the exact tipple you want!) Really reasonable prices too Update.. Still good but I was a bit underwhelmed with the chicken tikka garlic balti tonight.. it was kinda bland.. couldn't the garlic hit at all. Bhajis needed more onion and less potato too

Went on busy Sat night. We were seated within 15 mins and served, fed and water all within an hour that's with starters and mains. Great service and fast turn around and food was 5*. Bill was 41.00 for poppadoms, 2 starters, and 2 mains with rice and chapattis.

Staff are friendly, food arrived very quickly and was delicious. I had fish pakora then bindi gosht with nan. Amazing! Bring your own bottle, soft drinks available.

I really nice curry house, on the main strip in Sowerby Bridge. Friendly staff, and plenty of variety on the menu. Would recommend and I would go again. Cash only and BYOB.

Food was passable at best. I had the Meat Bhuna. Was very dry, and the chapattis I had with it were also dry and hard round the edges. Starter was nice enough. Very very busy, and tables squashed in. Constantly jostled by waiters squeezing past and who were intent on processing people through as fast as possible, asking "are you done" twice whilst people were still eating. Not good.

Visited Syhiba in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax and as always the food was phenomenal. I had the Lamb Handi which is on the bone 😋😋😋. Great team working there, top marks and 5stars to Nemo, Rafiq and of course Waheed who always make everything go smoothly.(Forgot to mention Naveed who was on holiday 🙈, he's a top guy too and has always been a first class waiter. We'll definitely be back 🔥👍and very soon at that 😉👍

Great food at affordable prices

The 2nd time I've been in 2 weeks. The food really is outstanding, try the fish masala starter, it's banging! The staff went out of their way to make a lamb dish that was only chicken on the menu. Best Indian food I've had for a very long time.

What lovely fresh food! This was my first experience here. Since moving to West Yorkshire, I've not had a decent curry until now. I've been used to a certain standard and style from living in Leicester. Last night, we were part of a rather impromptu chaotic group, remembering a friend with his friends and some family. We were a large group all getting to know each other. The waiting staff managed to get orders from us all! I was amazed at how attentive everyone was to us. My only issue was that it's a Halal restaurant. This practice is not something I agree with, however, that's my personal choice. The acoustics were not great. It was difficult to hear with so many customers and us. Such a popular restaurant obviously is going to be busy. I will definitely be coming back. For those of us not comfortable with the practice of Halal slaughter, they can choose from a large list of vegetarian dishes. So far, this place has been the best curry I've had in 5 years since the move up here. Ps: cash only which was no problem for us.
