We're vegetarian family, they served non vegetarian dish...we have inform that allergic but it's happen.... They destroy our moods,happens and party time.. VERY POOR..

I recently visited Rustom Restaurant as per good reviews and was impressed by the beautiful ambiance and excellent vegetarian options. Mr. Vikki provided outstanding hospitality and recommended the Garlic Chilli Paneer and Dum Biryani—both were delicious. I also enjoyed the Gulab Jamun and Gajar Halwa for dessert. Highly recommend for a great vegetarian dining experience!

Excellent food and service! The lamb as well as the saag paneer was heavenly with very generous portion sizes.

A exquisite meal made only better by the charming and enchanting service. I happened upon Rustom on my walk home, and in need of a meal I ventured inside. Let’s just say all my need were met. I leave rustom with a belly full of rice and a heart full of love.

Very excellent Indian Food, we have taken Chicken Karahi, Chicken Butter, Lamb Shank Nehari, and chicken pakora. All were good.

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in all Edinburgh. I have been over a dozen times and never once been disappointed. I would recommend anything. My only criticism is that they removed kingfisher. I would love if they brought it back. Bosh.

Discovered this place on a whim as we were walking to our hotel where we were staying for the weekend, we tried booking a table but they were closing soon so as we walked by we popped in and they had space for us then and there…it was by far the best Indian I have had in my life not exaggerating! The chicken korma and chili naan bread 😍😍

Extremly greedy, unwelcoming,unaccomodative,impatient and rude head waiter/manager. I visited this restaurant along with family for evening dinner. We were waiting for an other family to join us who were on their way and less than half hour away. We informed the lead waiter about it and requested to give us table of 8 for both families(including 4 of us already there).I also informed him clearly that we're sure they'll definitely be here soon till the food cook/prep. time and we'll order now for all i.e. both families. We had flight in few hours and no intention to keep waiting.It was 6 pm yet ,a quite early time for dinner,not a busy time and only leass than 1/4 of restaurant was occupied yet, more than 50 seats still available and most not reserved at all.The head waiter refused to give us table of 8,started making faces, showing gestures,talking sarcastically in urdu as we were talking in urdu,advising me to either wait outside and come again with all or sit on table of 4 and order immediately without delay. The explanation he gave was, it's their business time as there is some sports/match today,he'll give seats only to the people coming there and can't reserve seats for my guests, although a lot of seats yet available. I told him that I should have pre booked but you still have a lot of seats and it'll give bad impression that there are no seats when my guests arrive. But rather than accommodating, he continued his gestures,advising my family to go to other restaurant,one across the road Omer Khayyam,saying that is always empty and available.I left, just said to him politely you need to be bit patient and welcoming. We went to Omer Khayyam, they were already full but they asked us to wait and they'll accommodate us.They treated us very well,altough other family took 15-20 min to arrive, although their food was average grade. Just to answer your response to my review, I appreciate that you responded, and I hope you'll try to improve on that.I understand that we should always pre-book if we're in a large group. But if you go through it again, it's only about the attitude/behaviour/gestures that your many guests have to face when they enter, not about the food.

I came here with some friends on a Monday around 10PM. I embrace the Indian tradition you can found in this place. I choose a chicken shawarma with some naan bread. My friends had have a lot to share in the middle, which really enjoy trying here and there. As a starter I’ve got the prawns. Lil bit too expensive as comes only two prawns for 7.95£. The service was super. A great meal. Thank you guys

Worst food ever ordered the mix grill wasn’t even fresh seekh kebabs and lamb chops proper cold after few minutes of serving. lamb karahi horrible. There garlic naans were even cold and dry. Don’t recommend this place to anyone. It was my 3 years Anniversary most horrible food and stomach I have while I’m fasting absolutely disgusting. Won’t be coming back and won’t recommend anyone going. I was not happy paying but I didn’t want to say anything as I was with my partner. It felt like they went and warmed up the food. If I could give 0 stars I would!! Avoid this place guys much more better places out there.

Pakistani/Indian restaurant with beautiful spicy flavors. Spicy dishes (but not too strong) chicken shashlik (for example) very good curry sauce, very good garlic nan and pulao rice also very good An address to remember in Haymarket.

Food was good but service was terrible, clearly they were too busy to accommodate us, the manager being very rude and staff taking our plates away when we clearly weren’t finished eating, and to top it all off they charged us for items we never received, can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon

Very good value for money. Good portions, very friendly staff. Would recommend. The only thing that bothered us a little bit: the tables are very close and small, you can basically join the conversations of your neighbours. But maybe we just visited when it was really busy. The food was delicious, we really enjoyed our visit and would return.

I have simply not had a better Indian meal than here. We visited a couple of years ago and just had to revisit. It is as good today as it was then. The staff are so helpful and the food is so well presented. It's a joy to visit. I just wished we lived nearby.

I want to share the horrible experience I had during lunch today. I went alone to have a meal, and from the moment I walked in, I was treated with absolute disrespect. The man at the entrance looked at me as if I didn’t belong there and received me in the most unwelcoming way. Even while serving, he treated me as if I were a beggar, showing zero courtesy or professionalism. But what made it even worse? When it came time to pay, his tone was outright racist—condescending and dismissive. Meanwhile, when he served other customers, particularly white individuals, he was polite, warm, and attentive. This place is blatantly racist and lacks basic decency. Shame on you! Management, you need to look into this matter and improve your service immediately. No one should have to experience this kind of treatment. Avoid this restaurant at all costs! I've been to your restaurant on Saturday please find attached receipt

Called in because I was hungry before the football and left full and well sated! I had a biryani. There was a lot of it, the food was cooked beautifully, came in a hot pot and tasted delicious. Had a cobra beer to wash it down. If the game is as good as this meal, I’m in for a treat! Special mention to waiter Prashant.
