Rumbles Fish Bar in Huntingdonshire

Ordered online at 19:48 Called at 21:00 to ask if our order was going to be much longer. Was told they were doing it now & wouldn’t be long. Been calling since 21:30 - no answer Time 21:42 no food and they close at 22:00 2 hrs for 4 simple meals!

Lovely friendly service. Good portion sizes for kids meals, and very tasty! Would highly recommend to anyone that wants a nice easy dinner.

Great Fish and chips ( lots of other options) all well cooked, good value great service. friendly staff, it's also a restaurant , so seating with a nice ambiance . I would definitely recommend.

This place was awful since it’s changed over ownership it has gone downhill from good portions to barely 5 chips and that’s a large portion. The service is shocking and I hope they shut down because I’m finished going there …!!!!

We have used Rumbles many times over the past few years for takeaways both collection and delivery. Friendly staff. Food great be it fish & Chips, Turkish or a burger. Portions a good size and never a bad meal.

Nothing more to say than fantastic. We had a delivery. The driver waited for my son to get back from the cash point as they don’t take cards. No issues at all. And the food was just fantastic. Best take away food in sawtry for sure. And probably far beyond sawtry. Authentic, well presented, generous and delicious. Thanks guys.

This is a utter hidden gem. Top notch food fairly and reasonably priced. It's licensed. It has approximately 40 seat capacity. We had a few Turkish starters and fish n chips that were epic. Our 22 month old daughter was made very welcome and enjoyed her lunch too. We couldn't finish our starters so these were packed up for take away. Will be returning. Just lovely

I definitely will not be visiting this place ever again and I would definitely not recommend this chip shop the portions sizes are a joke for the price very expensive and nothing special for what you would expect I’m disappointed to say I will never be stopping by ever again I would recommend walking or driving straight past to save you the disappointment I’m sorry to say

The great thing about this place is not only does it do brilliant Fish and Chips together with everything you expect to find at your local chippy, it has dine in facilities. It also has a white range of Middle Eastern dishes, from Kebabs Meze 59 Baclava. Well worth a short detour off the A1.

I ordered large fish and large chips.the chips were medium In size no way a large portion and nor was the fish! Also got short changed,I may aswel had them delivered because I paid for it!! Very disappointing .think I will think twice again before ordering again.could have had a decent Chinese instead!!

Our first visit to Rumbles and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parked outside on the small forecourt. Eat in , there is food to take away. Eat from the Turkish menu. It was delicious. A good menu with lots of choice. Vegetarians catered for. Very good portions. Mains served with delicious bread and salad.Alcohol is at NON rip off prices. A Bud' was £3.30. Great service from our friendly waiter who was very accommodating. Nothing but good to report. Very reasonably priced too. If you are local you are very lucky to have this close by.

I ordered a large portion of fish and chips and was very disappointed at the size.I got two thin strips of fish which together would have struggled to be a small piece of fish,the chips were very scarce too!! My grandson had more chips in his small portion of chips and for the price of £10.20 I was disgusted.I have no complaints on the taste they were perfect but I doubt for that poor portion size I will bother buying again which is a shame because they used to be a decent size

I like Turkish food but, given it's location, I did not have particularly high expectations when I vsisted the restaurant. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The cold mezze's are superbly fresh and bursting with flavour. I had never tried Saksuka before (not keen on aubergine) but having done so now, this is my new favourite thing. The Humous is light and flavoursome and the Cacik is a delight on the tongue. All of this was served with the most delicious turkish bread. The mixed grill is balanced with just the right amount of marinade to flavour the meat, but not that much that it overpowers the perfectly cooked lamb, chicken and adana kofte. A return visit is most certainly planned.

The food is very reasonably priced and taste amazing. Staff are very friendly and speedy service. Can't reccomend this place enough, sawtry is very lucky to have a place like this

Food is amazing, staff are friendly and it is always very clean.service is always good. I would absolutely recommend the lamb shish and it comes with salad, rice, sauces and turkish bread so plenty to eat.

we ordered on line to collect 2 hours later. It was easy to do, choose your own time hence the delay!. The choices and prices were great. The food was terrific just like the best seaside fish and chip shop!!We would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area

This was our second takeaway and again Rumbles was excellent. Easy online ordering (although be good to be able to pay by card). Food turned up very quickly and was again of really high quality, good portions and very very tasty. We’ve enjoyed the Turkish a couple of times so might have to give the fish and chips a try next time. Thanks again for another delicious meal.

My partner and I ordered Rumbles online as an anniversary treat. So simple and easy online ordering process although no online payment is accepted. We got 2 starters and 2 mains. Portion sizes are immense! Excellent quality food , not leaving you feeling thirsty like most take aways, fresh and homecooked quality. Vegetarian options amazing and my partner was blown away by his chicken and especially the lamb. He was greeted by name upon collecting which was a nice touch. Unable to move after such a big delicious meal but already planning our next occasion to order ;)

Enjoyed a delicious takeaway from Rumbles tonight. Easy ordering online. Fast and friendly delivery. Large portions and everything really really tasty and of high quality. Enjoyed a great selection of the Turkish food. Can’t wait now to order again in the future.

Went to the revamped Rumbles for a Turkish takeaway today , from the phone order , service in store , social distancing and most importantly the food , all I can say is Thank You We will be back... Very full and happy Chris

Called in for fish and chips whilst staying in the area, so pleased we did, we would have loved to go back for a kebab as the cooking station in the entrance made them look very appealing. We stuck with fish and chips and got a table inside.The staff where very efficient and all covid compliant, we both ordered large cod and standard chips, The potions where great served with a lovely fresh side salad, the chips where crunchy and the fish so well cooked, not greasy.Great value, great portion sizes, great staffThis place deserves to do well and it looks like it does as footfall inside and on take away was steady

Stopped off on a long journey to eat! But despite saying otherwise on the website they’re CLOSED owner stood outside saying we’re closed to give the staff a break!!!! Looking at the reviews below we’ve dodged a bullet!!!

Good news that’s it’s closing for a refit and new branding. Over the last 12 months the quality has reduced massively. Soggy fish, service is not great the staff preparing the food lack personality too. Not a pleasant experience. The last 2 online orders we did were a disaster. You arrive at the counter at the provided time, the order hasn’t even been printed, so the long wait starts. then on arriving home items are always missing. Must mention the pizza guy that was using his phone and when an order was given to him he just went straight in to working the pizza dough with his finger tips without even looking at soap or warm water!! Grim!!! A real shame as we used to travel from Yaxley to get the fish and chips as they really were worth the trip. Not anyone. Nothing spectacular. I know it’s a bit negative but hope on reopening these issues are resolved and once again it can be as good as it used to be.

Absolutely disgusting filth, filth and more filth 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 dirty awful and terrible service. Chips with no taste at all and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. The staff unhelpful and the tables dirty as was the waitress her nails and hair. Greasy hair and dirty nails

A real treasure. Very friendly staff that really care about their customers. I am grateful at how accommodating they are when I ask for my fish to be cooked without batter. Yummy chips, quality fish and excellent curry sauce.

Very clean fish & chip shop / restaurant, pleasant welcoming & helpful staff. Freshly cooked fish was beautifully cooked with a light crispy batter served with nice clean chips. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

This is my local and it has really grown on me. They offer a great product, quality is definitely there (for what I want from a chip shop). Please keep doing what you do Thanks again.

Quality is excellent, great choice. Only drawback is the time it can take sometimes. I’ve been in and out within two minutes in the past but also been in for a simple bag of chips to take out and it took 15 minutes. Only three tables occupied in restaurant area and only two people waiting at counter for take always, so wasn’t busy. Quite frustrating, especially at 8pm. However soon relaxed again after eating the chips, top quality! I would say worth the wait but not when you’re in a rush and only expected to be five minutes, max, for just chips! Will probably call ahead in future to ask wait times if I’m in a rush

Regularly use Rumbles for fish and chips, they give larger than average portions and always perfectly cooked. No complaints at all.

We are regulars to Rumbles. Consistently good food, great service. Not only are the fish bar items great but the pizza is also fantastic. Highly recommend.

Good ... but wasn't frying new potatoes when in season?!?!? August and not frying new potatoes ?!?!? What gives? OK apart from that.... I would return next time passing. 8/10

Nice fish and chips. Friendly waitress. When we have a fish and chip meal we allways go to this chip shop and eat in. The food is much nicer and fresher when it hasn't been wraped to take hom and no plates to wash.

We use this fish n chip shop a lot, it means driving 15 minutes each way but sure is worth it every time. Can phone orders through so they are ready to collect too. Very good food and service always good.

We were driving up A1(M) and decided to have a break and a bite to eat. What a little gem of a find. Right next door to the fire station. We opted to sit down, the tables were well presented and clean. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We both order large cod and chips and the portions were HUGE. We both got two large pieces of fish each. The batter was fresh and crisp and the fish was very tasty indeed. Excellent value. If you are a local you are very lucky, if you are travelling on the A1(M) pop in and you will not be disappointed. Excellent value for money as well

This is a very clean fish shop. The staff are friendly and helpful. The fish snd chips we had were huge and were cookef to perfection. Would higjly recommend Rumbles of Sawtry.

have visited before and been great but tonight it's hot and we opted for fish and chips to sit back in our garden. I opened up my box and my pie was wrong. meal ruined.

Plenty of staff to serve and nice big portions. One portion would be big enough to share between two people

had enjoyed fish and chips from other Rumbles in the county so hoped that this one would maintain the high standard and it hasnt disappointed over the many months in has been open. can have large queues at usual weekend Tea times but they get through these promptly - and if you dont do good food you dont get big queues. Substantial portion sizes. Food tastes good. Its as about as good as you get unless you are on the coast near a fishing village.

Welcome addition to hot food in Sawtry. After some years with old fish shop serving appalling food it is good to be able to rely on Rumbles for well cooked on every visit. A good selection and good sized portions. Well done.

Another tasty meal from the popular takeaway. I had the fish and chips and it was good. Prices are a little high but it's on our doorstep so very convenient. I'm sure we'll be back.

My brother in law and I often eat here on a Wednesday evening before the local pub quiz. Good table service and the portion sizes are above average and great quality. Highly recommended

We have been waiting for a decent fish and chip shop for many years, having had to make do with inferior fish and helpings for many years. The guys that run this place are cheery, nice and the place is immaculate.

Fab, sat outside on patio tables and had good brought to us. Freshly prepared and piping hot, halloumi, salad and chips, delicious. Clean loos too, can't fault it at such a reasonable price too. Huge portions.

Battered sausage was soft, the batter wasn't crunchy at all. The sausage wasn't cooked properly either. The chips were cold and I live less than a 5-minute walk from the shop so they couldn't have gotten cold on the way home.

Another lovely supper. Decent portion at a reasonable price. The staff were very efficient. It's always assuring to see a que in a restaurant as well. We'll be back.

Now that you can order online its even better, only thing they need to do now is offer home delivery

We are regular customers both eating in & takeaway. Prompt excellent service of freshly cooked food. Premises always extremely clean. Staff are all lovely, always polite & nothing is too much trouble. A great atmosphere, always a pleasure to dine here.

This is one of the best fish and chip shops ever, we eat there often and the food is such good quality! My friends and I are all apart of a drama club and we come during rehearsals and they are always so friendly.

We only stopped for a coffee break while out on a cycle ride. We got a friendly welcome. The food smelt lovely wish we could have stopped for lunch. It very clean and well set out. Will diffidently be going back for lunch very soon.

Visited with friends who live in the village. Just looks like a normal chippy with tables and chairs. The fish was cooked to perfection and the batter was the best! light waffery and crisp. The chips were also crispy but with a melt in your mouth no hardness at all. I was really impressed. My husband agreed got to be the best fish shop we have been in. We will come back next time. They also serve pizza and kebabs

As we were early for our appointment nearby we decided to stop in for a quick lunch.

Used to go to the Chinese in sawtry on way back but became unrealible so tried rumbles best fish and chips been back several times and still great service thank you will be having pizza this week

We weren't in the mood for cooking and this was exactly what we needed. The food was excellent. Portion size was awesome. It actually didn't touch the sides. Very satisfied!

The place is clean and very welcoming. Staff are nice. Fish and chips are amazing. Its not got much parking space and gets very busy.

The long awaited arrival of a decent fish bar to our village. Well done rumbles in making it happen. A very pleasant but simple restaurant with friendly staff, including a couple of outside tables as well as a great take-away. Don't try and do too much though. Visited here twice whilst in the area for business. Food was excellent and great value i had the cod and chips and also a lamb shish kebab. All cooked while i waited. Also has a restaurant which looked good.

First time visit this weekend and we'll definitely be back. It's a simple service, very clean shop and a very good meal to take away. Loved it.
