Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Chorlton in Manchester

Went to Rudys today for a lunch time meal and it was delicious! Amazing service too. Thank you!

Rudy's is reliably good pizza, this is not my local one but I eat here with friends two of three times a year. They are good value and I have never had a bad meal here. This is a good option for vegan and vegetarian eaters too plus they are good on allergen's although I am not sure how they deal with gluten issues, but to be fair there are better eating options locally than pizza for them. The staff are very competent which is joyful, when this is often something overlooked in current times. It can be a bit loud due to how popular it is but a visit is well worth it.

Outstanding pizza and filled with lovely staff front and back. I've been to Rudy's several times now, and ordered takeaway once, just last week. Until that takeaway, they have always been truly excellent. And, after that very frustrating takeaway experience (all I will say here is, seriously, get in touch with the restaurant if Deliveroo messes up), Rudy’s went above and beyond to make things right. And, as usual, they delivered on quality. The pizzas and dips are always all delicious. We particularly enjoyed our Capricciosa and Carni pizzas, and the garlic aioli and chili honey dips. It’s easy to judge a place when things go wrong, but what really matters is how a business handles that situation. Rudy’s showed excellent customer service, particularly their manager, Summer, taking full ownership and making sure we had a great experience in the end. So I’m happy to update my review to reflect the quality of their food and their commitment to looking after their customers. Thanks again to Summer and the team - we will definitely be back!

Only did take out but the place was buzzing

10/10 i will definatly be returning to rudys was my first time going today and wow i loved it all the pizzas we tried were beautifuly cooked the lemonade was 10/10 aswell they what there doing here you definatly need to get down here if you havent they also serve halal pepperoni ❤️

Increíble pizza y disfrutamos viendo cómo se hacía mientras estábamos sentados en la zona de taburetes por primera vez. Sin embargo, esto podría haber afectado a nuestro servicio, ya que encontramos que el servicio era muy lento y sentimos que estábamos siendo ignorados como las mesas que llegaron después de nosotros estaba siendo servido mucho antes de que incluso habíamos logrado pedir bebidas. Cuando terminamos nuestra comida parecía imposible siquiera hacer contacto visual con nuestra camarera y al final esperamos poco menos de 30 minutos después de haber terminado a que una camarera viniera y eso es porque me levanté de mi asiento y tuve que ir a ella. Siempre he disfrutado de rudys y los restaurantes en Liverpool son excelentes y siempre tienen un gran servicio, así que me atendré a ellos!

Amazing pizza and we enjoyed watching it being made as we were sat at the stool area for the first time. However this might have affected our service as we found that service was very slow and we felt like we was being ignored as tables that arrived after us was being served way before we had even managed to order drinks. When we had finished our food it seemed impossible to even make eye contact with our waitress and in the end we waited just less than 30 minutes after we had finished for a waitress to come over and that is because I got out of my seat and had to go over to her. I have always enjoyed rudys and the restaurants in Liverpool are excellent and always have great service so I will stick to them.

Me encanta este Rudys, siempre hay espacio para caminar, lo cual es genial (y no es el caso en algunos otros lugares de Rudys). El personal es siempre servicial y atento. El servicio suele ser muy rápido a menos que esté super ocupado! La pizza y los lados nunca decepcionan.

Take away, but also ace for eating in.

Dam I hate doing this but went over christmas. Was not busy but my god Service was just taking order bringing to table no interaction. Once food on table had to keep asking for napkins extra knives Table was not 100% clean on arrival Pizzas was ok nothing special for what we paid Very disappointed for chorlton Staff training needed especially when you apply service to bill . I wanted to refuse paying service but I suppose I had the christmas spirit and my company made up Won't be back.

Fantástica pizza una vez más en Rudy’s. Este es un lugar muy cálido y acogedor, especialmente en una noche fría y helada. Nuestro servidor, Angus, era muy amable y relajado y nunca nos sentimos apresurados. Pizza, bebidas y tiramisú (recomendado - gracias Angus! ) todo increíble. Volveré otra vez.

Ordered a pizza with vegetarian toppings only. Was surprised to see cross contamination between meat and vegetarian toppings. The Chefs were using their bare hands for both meat and vegetarian toppings, and wiping them on their aprons! They SHOULD have separate cooking areas and utensils for meat and vegetarian options. Highly unprofessional, and utter disregard for their vegetarian Customers. Will NOT be visiting again.

Hazia era muy amable, gran servicio al cliente. Rápido/tomemos nuestro tiempo. El pepperoni triple fue impresionante, la mejor pizza que he probado en mucho tiempo, no soy muy bueno con la especia y eso fue perfecto (chili / miel / burrata). La limonada casera era preciosa (solía ser agria) , gracias, volveré!

Hemos estado un par de veces antes y estaba bien. Por lo general, estar con la gente. Esta noche húmeda estaba bastante vacía. Estábamos sentados en la extensión lateral de plástico. El personal era lo suficientemente agradable, pero en una ocasión en la memoria viva (casi) cuando no nos han preguntado cómo era la comida, era pobre. Las pizzas se veían bien con una bonita corteza exterior, pero ambos medios estaban empapados. Posiblemente el horno no estaba lo suficientemente caliente o la salsa de tomate estaba demasiado húmeda. O tal vez la masa no se había asentado durante el tiempo suficiente. Volveremos a la otra pizzería más antigua de Charlton la próxima vez.

If you fancy a real Italian Pizza that's the place you're looking for, the food is excellent and the staff is nice, very nice selection of drinks as well. Highly recommended.

Nothing as good as it's used to be, they've expanded too heavily and centralised production and the final product has suffered. The dough around the crust does not rise, parts of the pizza have no sauce or toppings on. Very disappointing. You'd be better off going to the other pizzeria in Chorlton.

Booked a meal for my girlfriend’s birthday, been coming here a while it’s my favourite pizza place. Service has gone down hill unfortunately at the Chorlton branch, staff more bothered about Uber eats orders rather than serving customers in the restaurant, forgot to bring items ordered with the meal and slow service

Rudy's in Chorlton is awesome! The triple pepperoni pizza is a game-changer. It's loaded with pepperoni, and the crust is perfectly crispy. The flavors are just right, and it's definitely a pizza lover's dream. You can't go wrong with that choice!

Fantastic meal at Rudy’s this evening. Great drinks & amazing pizza. Definitely knocked our fave pizza place into 2nd place 😉. Service from Angus was faultless- very friendly and polite, and anticipating our needs perfectly- he smashed it! Thanks all 10/10

Myself and my sibling were having a really rough day, we came over from Liverpool for the day and just wanted to eat something quickly and head on our way. I just wanted to take the time to thank Alisha our server. It’s the little things in hospitality that make such a difference, and she had such a lovely welcoming personality, and was happy to joke around with us, which honestly made the biggest difference to our day. We ended up staying for dessert instead of heading straight out like we planned, and honestly we felt completely different than when we first sat down. Alisha, thankyou so much, you were so friendly and I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated / needed such great service! Thanks to the rest of the team for the delish cocktails and pizza too

Somos visitantes regulares de Rudy's, pero este fue nuestro primer viaje a la sucursal de Chorlton. Nos gustó mucho el interior y los asientos, ya que las mesas no están tan juntas como parecen estar en todas las otras ramas en las que hemos estado. La comida era tan buena como en todas partes y el servicio era slick. El personal de servicio era un poco 'meh' - que parece ser fuera de carácter con el personal precioso que hemos encontrado en todas partes (hemos estado en otros 9).

They are very good at pizza. I highly recommend it.

He escuchado muy buenas críticas sobre lo increíble que es la pizza en Rudy’s. Un amigo italiano me ha dicho que el de Liverpool tiene la mejor pizza fuera de Italia. Así que estaba emocionado con mi primera visita. La pizza estaba deliciosa - yo tenía el portobello. Sin embargo, me sorprendió lo antipático y casi grosero que era el personal de espera. Lo era si fuéramos un completo inconveniente para ellos.

Can’t go wrong here. Starters, pizzas, desserts are all fantastic. Great service and brilliant soundtrack to boot. Can’t wait to be back. Tiramisu! 😋 Come and try it out, it’s especially nice on a nice day. You’d be mad not to love this place. Thanks folks I’ll be back soon!

First time to this branch of rudys and it was excellent. Rudys is consistently excellent.

Absolutely in love with Rudy’s! Among us Italian, Rudy’s is an institution for their amazing, genuine, REAL Italian pizza, along with all products they offer in their menu. Our waitress was sweet and amazing. Next thing, please make sure you get more draught Italian beer please! We have ichnusa, birra Messina, which would make the whole experience even more Italian. Other than that thank you for having us yesterday, well deffo be back soon 😊

We had the best time! The food was delish and the atmosphere was great! Our server Marnie made us feel so welcome and made the experience 10/10, she also recommended a delish wine to us and we loved it! We would definitely recommend!!

I've been waiting to try Rudys for a long time and I was not disappointed! Friendly service, reasonable prices and definitely the best pizza I have had in Manchester! Their homemade spirits/cocktails were so tasty and the dips are a brilliant extra - chilli honey is my new favourite thing ! Thank you.

Wonderful experience dining at Rudy’s in Chorlton this evening. Summer was our server. She explained the menu and offered suggestions when we asked for them. She checked on us to see if we are enjoying our meal and if w needed any top ups. I go to Rudy s in town regularly but admittedly I find the quality of the Chorlton brunch superior. It ‘s also less mad and loud!

Great family friendly place with superb staff and brilliant Pizza. Fantastic Saturday night with the grandkids. Thought it was too good to be true after last time but no. Standards as high as ever. Can’t wait to go again. We all love it

Had to wait because I hadn’t booked. More of an impulse decision. But we got in with a 40 minute wait. Definitely worth it All the staff were so keen and friendly with lots of smiling faces. The food is all so fresh. You can see the bases being created and covered with your chosen toppings I love the extra dips as well. Me and the kids loved it Scoffed the lot!

Insane pizzas as always, Rudy’s never disappoints. Shout out to our waiter (ginger hair - sorry I didn’t get your name!) He got me a large glass of red wine on the house after completing the Manchester Marathon. Great service!

Pizza fantastic as always! It never disappoints. However, the service isn't great. There's a lot of waitresses who are super sassy, banging glasses down on the table, sighing when waiting for us to decide our meals. I work in hospitality and would not dream of acting like this. It's a shame as I love this place!

The pizza was awesome, but I think this was helped by watching the energy of the three guys working together to create the Pizzas. They we happy and busy, enjoying their, this put kindness into the meal. I really enjoyed our afternoon and will visit again soon. 100% recommended Clive CCKR

Mediocre pizza. Price is good however it’s not as good as I expected. There’s almost no cheese and no ingredients on it. Crust is alright, had better had worse. Overall 2/5

My first visit to Rudys, and certainly wont be the last, the food and drinks were simply amazing, and the service was warm and friendly, if you haven't tried here, put it on your list you wont be disappointed.

I have been to Rudy’s in town and ordered takeaway many times so I was really disappointed to find the Chorlton restaurant (which is local to us) so underwhelming. The atmosphere was particularly lacking, as the music being played included the likes of ABBA, the Black Eyed Peas, Lily Allen and a mix of pretty terrible alternative rock from the 90s and 2000s. The food was fine, if a bit cold (perhaps goes with the territory for thin crust pizzas), with the buffalo mozzarella pizza being really sloppy. I had a mandarin-type spritz that tasted like Orangina but the wine was nice. The bathroom also seemed to have mould going up the wall. Oh, and no kids menu, which is again maybe understandable (and foreseeable) but given the location seems like a bit of a missed opportunity (the place was filled with families paying £3+ for a kids juice). Would have preferred a take away to be honest.

Yeah it's alright. Bit stingy on toppings. Pizza bases were a bit floppy. Mainly crust.

Another fantastic visit to Rudy's. We have been to every branch of Rudy's (in Manchester) many times and have not once had a bad experience. But I would say that the Chorlton branch is our favourite both in terms of staff and food. The pizza is consistently brilliant and the staff always go above and beyond to provide a great experience. We had to wait roughly 10 minutes later than expected for our main course last night and upon bringing the bill they had removed our desserts - we would've happily paid for them as we didn't notice the delay - but they thought to remove them. Exceptional service which I have never experienced before. 10/10 - categorically the best pizza in Manchester.

Nice pizza, it's a nice place. Could I describe it as Rustic...I guess I will go with rustic. And they ask you if you want to pay a tip instead of automatically adding it on. I was impressed.

I have been a pacifist for as long as aye can currumba, but I've had to change my stance after the explosions of taste, flavour and sensations that carpet bombed the palette of my tongue. What a pizza. I had the Tonno when I first went and I am pretty sure it cured my sleep paralysis. When I came again I had the Portobello and I have cut my number of blinks per day in half. Saved so much kinetic energy that I'm now playing 5-a-side again which is giving me a chance to reconnect with my old colleagues who I haven't had much of a chance to stay in touch with. What a restaurant. And what unbelievably warm and friendly service. The people working here offer the service that makes you feel more like yourself. We were served by Lilly who offered endless joy, comfort and entertainment, like a human Nintendo DS. The exceptional service alone sans pizza made the whole trip feel worthwhile. Before leaving I had a tiramissu off the rocks, and once again, Rudy's hit it out of the Wembley park!!! As I left I asked my friends to call me an ambulance because I was scared that I was having a stroke or a TIA. It turns out my mind had just been blown. I had to have a calippo and a rolly to level myself out. But yeah, very good pizza and amazing service :) I absolutely recommend :)

Amazing pizza. They just ALWAYS forget some of the dips on Deliveroo. So gutting as they are incredible too! The dips are the reason I order here over double zero..

Safe to say the food here is as good as it is in Italy! My boyfriend and I absolutely love it at Rudy’s!!!

Really nice authentic pizza, with nice staff members who are happy to help with recommendations ect. We would definitely visit again.

Food is good but service is always so poorly run. Lots of young staff who don't seem to have any managers about - each time I've been it's taken two people to use the booking system and just poor management of the tables and stuff. The staff are lovely, but clearly get no help from whoever is above them.

Another excellent experience. Very high standards of friendly staff great atmosphere and brilliant food. My partner and myself and the grandkids all thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday evening. I sometimes leave the pizza crust but not with the honey and chilli dip!! Loved it

Went there on Friday evening for the first time. The food was great and excellent value for money. The service was excellent, too. If you're in Chorlton and love pizza, this is the place to go to.
