Ruchita in Greenwich

No taste, No instructions followed and Waste of money

I have been ordering from Ruchita for years and have never complained. For last night's order, I cannot hold back. Has management changed? I paid £10 for BURNT lamb chops and £3.50 for 7UP because Tango was not available. Our mixed grill was over salty and had one piece of each meat about 5cm in size and the one tiny samosa that was included was soaked in sauce. I'm not impressed at all. I paid over £50 for my order and it felt very lazy. Ruchita is definitely not the same as it used to be.

This is the second time I've used Ruchita, the first time, the food arrived two hours early, but returned on time, the second order arrived exactly on time and like the first, the food was excellent. Will definitely use again.

I always love food from here but tonight was exceptional. Best ever. Piping hot, delivered quickly. The food was very tasty, no oilyness, perfectly spiced. I just wish there was more chicken in the main meal.

The food at Ruchita is so good and consistent. the delivery guy is also so friendly. They always give free potato curry with my order. once they gave me some kind of mushroom dish, that doesn't seem to be on the menu, for free that was so delicious. highly rated food and service. RECOMMENDED

Food arrived on time and was flavoursome apart from the chicken Tikka masala, it had a funny taste and my gut has been playing up for 2 days afterwards so I believe it wasn’t cooked properly as I’ve never had this issue before, and JustEat won’t do anything about bad tummy’s now will they

Butter Chicken was very good, Chicken Vindaloo was OK, spicy. Free veg curry was decent. Bhaji, poppadom and rice all good.

Unfortunately Ruchita has gone down hill massively. This used to be such a wondeful restaurant full of good food and flavour, but not anymore. hardly any of the dishes had flavour, the mixed starter came with water at the bottom so the samosa was wet. both the sag and keema rice had 0 taste. We are incredibly disappointed and this has been such a waste of money for what should have been a treat for us. Will not be ordering again and definitely will not be recommending to anyone.

Delivery time fine but the chicken and lamb in curry were so dry .. a shame as the vegetarian dish was very moreish - and the prawns! Not sure if the chicken was pre heated and the lamb but was very dry and inedible

Paratha were super smelly and oily and not edible, butter chicken was yellow super sweet. Had to throw away most of it. Will never order from here again.

One of the best curries we’ve had in a long time! Everything was so tasty and non of the curries tasted the same, all had amazing depth of flavour. We loved the Methi Met meal (lamb mince, potted and spinach), Kochi Gosht (lamb in medium spice, tomato based). Also price is cheaper compared to other Indian takeaways. Will definitely order again

Chicken korma was chewy, didn’t even eat it

The delivery wasn’t too long and we were given a free vegetable curry too. But the food was very bland, and not to usual quality from other restaurants, would not order again!

Lamb chops were hard and chewy , chicken biryani was okay but to put cucumber and tomato in chicken biryani is weird and doesn’t taste good as well . Also , I have got one potato curry with my order , I didn’t even order it

My fave local Indian usually everything from here is 5*. Bit disappointed last time. Puri was missing from the order, the prawns in one of the dish didn’t seem cooked properly (and were also not de-veined which is usually the case in Indian restaurants) - this went in the bin. Will try again though as it’s the first time this happened.

First time ordering from Ruchita so I didn't know what to expect. Pro's - Quick delivery time, nice driver, piping hot food (considering I'm not local to Ruchita) and quality 'fresh' ingredient's. Cons - Questionable jalfrezi (curry was too mild and more like a Dupiaza with a few chillies thrown in). Overall the portion size was on the small size (I don't have a big appetite) and I finished everything and I've never eaten an entire curry takeaway! I prefer fuller onion bhaji's but these were flat ones but I will say they were tasty and not greasy. I will be honest and say I've had better but if you have a small appetite and love fresh ingredients then this is not a bad place at all but I'll be sticking to my usual Indian takeaway restaurant.

Great, if you like your curry watered down and bland. Tastes like something out of a tin, unfortunately. I like my curries with flavour and a bit of bite! A puri should be light and crispy but this one was doughy and thick
