Ruby Chinese Takeaway in Medway

Ordered a delivery …it as 30 minutes late and the pork and chicken balls were hard a rock… like they’d been pre-prepped and re-fried…I called them and complained and the guy said “that how we do them” I won’t order from this restaurant again… Poor show on quality and poor show on customer care

Before I ordered I read through the reviews and was a little skeptic but what are these people moaning about??? Me and the group have just enjoyed a really nice meal which has really surprised me considering the reviews. People who say it’s bland they must be smokers and can’t taste very well because everyone of us enjoyed our meal. It was lovely. People just like to moan. It’s the kind of people who shove loads of salt on their food or lots of sugar in their tea because their taste buds have had it. I highly recommend them.

I have never tasted such disgusting food like this ever! The vegetable chow mein was so oily, bland and does not taste fresh at all. The Spring roll was just weird tasting, it was absolutely vile and super oily. The banana fritters were very doey, not crisp or fresh tasting at all. This was a take away. I called them to let them know but the response was couldn't care less. Terrible customer service. I never write reviews but felt I had to warn people of the whole experience. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. literally! YUCK!

Called ruby on a Saturday night. The guy who answered sounded really unmotivated and struggled to even string a sentence. I hope the restaurant take this on board, and get employ someone who actually sounds like they want to work.

This food was the worst I’ve ever tasted, I never usually write reviews but felt I had to , the food was not fresh the king prawn balls and salt and pepper squid was soggy the chow mien was old and dry the ribs were dry and no flavour the best part was the chips and they were awful aswell will never ever go back here

The food is full of flavour. A shame about the hygiene rating, it does let down the quality slightly.

When I went to Ruby’s with my friends the food was average but the grease and oiliness of the food was unbearable. It was vile! Never going back.

The rice was hard the satay sauce was sweet and a strange taste.Rang the restaurant to try and sort it out explained to the guy on the phone and he called me a lier saying i only want free food...no i want food to eat that i payed for! He hung up on me twice. Not happy, waisted £13. My advice to anyone avoid this place like the plague. Just checked the food hygiene rating for this place and now feel sick NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN

Not a bad Chinese it’s not the best and food can be inconsistent .. prices are ok I would not order from here personally however if walking past or something I’d consider going in if I wanted a Chinese

After reading the reviews I was sceptical, but the egg fried rice was okay, a little Luke warm and bland but okayThe shredded beef wasn’t too spicy, but not as crunchy as usually receivedThe chicken balls were cooked thoroughly, the batter wasn’t greasy but a lot thicker than we’re used to.BBQ sauce watery and no tasteSweet and sour sauce again very thin, but good tasteNot the best but not inedible

I ordered through Just Eat, needed to ask a question, so I called in. The woman I spoke to was so rude its untrue. No please, no thank you, abruptly spoke over me. When I asked to speak to the manager about it, she simply told me "well that's just the way I talk" and hung up on me! Its an absolute disgrace that they think its ok to speak to customers in this manner

My work colleagues and I always order from Ruby’s and have always enjoyed it. However, today's’ service was awful! We ordered a vegetable curry, upon arrival we started to eat only to find meat in it! We called for a replacement - they accused me of not asking for the vegetarian curry to be meat free, I did not think I needed to specify a vegetarian curry to be meat free. They offered to bring us another. Upon arrival the lady asked for the other curry back, I gave it back to her. She accused me of eating half of it! We HAD NOT eaten the curry, but had poured it onto the plate before realising it had meat in, did she want me to pour it back into the Tupperware so it was full again? She gave me the replacement, threw the meat curry across the desk and stormed off. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE BLAMING ME FOR THEIR MISTAKE AND NO APOLOGY. WILL NOT be using their restaurant again.

Desde aquí pedimos un chino hace un tiempo y sinceramente no creo que pagamos una buena cantidad de dinero para la comida que recibimos. Toda la orden la comida estaba fría. Aunque éramos 2. 4 km de distancia desde el restaurante entiendo que no estaba bien caliente. Pero por la comida fría no era simplemente aceptada. Entonces nos dimos cuenta de que las bebidas que habíamos pedido junto con nuestra comida no eran con la entrega (no obtener un reembolso de este, una vez que había planteado esta casa con hambre). Casa de hambre no era servicial en lo más mínimo al elevar los problemas con ellos. Se negaba a darme. un reembolso por la comida ya que había consumido alguna. . . Lo que me parece muy confuso porque no hubiera sabido lo terrible estaba a menos que había consumido.En general, no me será pedir de Ruby Restaurante o casa de nuevo! hambre

Este lugar tiene el mejor pollo ahumado desmenuzado. Específicamente la orden de Ruby y que también son consistentemente satisfechos con la calidad de los demás elementos, especialmente algas, huevos fritos, salsa de curry arroz y patatas fritas.Más allá de eso, la entrega es normalmente muy rápido y con mucha anticipación del tiempo estimado de entrega.

I ordered through Hungry House Thursday night a home delivery. The food arrived quicker than advertised, in less than 45 mins, hot and delicious. Huge portions and proper chunks of meat in the Special Chow mein that were so tender. I also had Mushroom chop Suey and Sweet and Sour chicken, less than £16 and so much food I had the leftovers on Friday and was stuffed again. Great buy , I will be back for my next take out.
