Nice and affordable room with helpful staff, lots of privacy :)!

i when here tonight with a date and I had a cup of fosters and I had few sips of the drink it tasted weird at first i felt fine but then when I had more sips I felt weird I was sick and I felt funny i felt like I was on a drug and I felt dizzy and lightheaded I keep draining in and out and the toilets was not all that the toilets had stains on the seat I could not sit on the seat 🤢 good luck to anyone that gones here coz I feel like I have been poisoned

Only visited once and will be my last time. Ordered a draught fosters which came with bits in it and made my girlfriend feel so unwell that she through up in the bathroom. Ordered a coke, same issue. Clueless staff, didn't seem to understand that draught lines have to be CLEANED in order to not poison people. Awful. AVOID. Did wonder why it was so dead on a Friday night and now we know why.

I went to this pub while the Brighton Man City game was on as I minibused some people down from Nottingham

Friendly staff, good atmosphere and good beer. Pool tables music and karaoke if thats your thing.

We popped in for some food and a game of pool, never been there before. Very quiet, the lovely bar staff member Jake told us the kitchen was temporarily closed but we could order some food from a takeaway two doors down and bring it in. He also told us the pool table was covered up because Brighton were playing a match that day. We bought some drinks, had some food and left. The place filled up with people before we left. We spoke to two other staff members Abi and another lady from the Ukraine whose name we can't remember. And another man briefly who I think was the manager. Also thanked the bouncers on the way out. We were made feel very welcome. Thanks again.

It was a decent experience there. Their burgers are really nice.

Great place to wait for the bus or to have a drink before and after a football game.

On arrival, no one to check in with. Then eventually shown to the room which was small and bed you could feel the springs in 😕. At night loud music until nearly midnight from right beneath the room . Would not stay again.

Such a lovely warm welcome from the staff, Tracey, Victoria and Debbie. Rooms were great and clean and smelt fresh. Will definitely go back there again soon

Good It was clean The housekeeper was lovely The bathroom was modern and clean Private bathroom The not so good Staff attitude When I arrived I went into the pub and asked if I could check in, she asked my name and I was given a swipe card and was told “it’s round there” lift the handle before swiping. I responded what sorry? where? She repeated “round there” and pointed left out of the front door” I had to ask again because all I could see was a group of men stood outside a barber, she said the gate after the barbers. I was left to go wandering on my own in the rain through an intimidating group of young men, to look for a gate and then through to find my room on my own. The next interaction I had was with the housekeeper in the morning who was really lovely, I made my way downstairs to hand in the swipe and an older man was coming out of the closed pub, I said “I need to check out please” he said “okay” and took my key off me and walked back in to the pub, put the key in the pub and walked off straight passed me without another word said. No pleasantries, no asking how my stay was, like the female who “checked me in” there was no welcoming, friendliness or even basic politeness - It was almost as if I was a hinderance to their day. Room size The room was also very small, it was big enough for me but if you were looking for a comfortable weekend getaway as a couple etc.. it would not be big enough for that. There was a bed with two bedside tables, a tiny space to walk around the bed and a bathroom (the bathroom was really modern and clean) Parking The other issue was parking, I picked this hotel as It states there was great availability of parking, if not on the forecourt then on the streets surrounding. Well I had to park a 10 minute walk away and carry all my bags through the rain as that was the nearest street parking space available, if I knew this was the case I’d have stayed at one of the hotels that were on the seafront that had no parking. (Of which some were cheaper) Location This was a 21 minute Uber away from the pier and main centre of Brighton Price It cost me £55 for one night stay at the Ruby and after it was too late to cancel this one, I discovered the seafront ones were a similar price and one or two even less.

Say got parking but no parking anywhere. All permitted and I got a ticket. Staff rubbish and finishings cheap. Doors slamming all night. No sleep at all. Tried the curry but made me puke. Dont stay here.

Nice room, rude member of staff with black hair which pretty much every single review I have seen mentions about, was not informed there was no food so arrived at our room, flicked through the menu to decide what we wanted and proceeded to go down stairs into the bar area where we were told no food considering the menu is in the information document you are handed and was told we get breakfast as well to then be told we need to go down to get a takeaway instead. Nice room but apart from that that’s all there is in this place.

Me and my family came here on a Thursday evening and there was a woman dart team playing , we asked if we could put music on juke box and was told by the manageress a woman with black hair old looking and very rude we couldn’t have music on we then had a few more drinks and was having a laugh then got told I couldn’t have any more to drink (I only had 2 drinks ) because she said I was getting loud and had enough but I think she was actually more upset that I was sitting at the bar talking to the barman who was very pleasant and friendly and I could tell he didn’t agree with what she was saying I honestly would avoid this place if you can

I went down with a couple of friends for a gathering and there was a rude staff member a woman who was disrespectful and told us there was no food and tried to kick everyone out the pub because she wanted to go out.

This place looks incredible now , more stylish and clean and The accommodation there is brilliant looks clean and welcoming , the two new staff they have are nice and friendly and treat locals like friends ,and manger is nice too he is friendly too, only let down is the woman manageress rude and obnoxious not friendly at all she stops people having fun and doesn’t like anyone talking to the other staff unless it her ,apart from her the place is nice , food is nice now they have a new chef Locals r so nice everyone friendly and gets on it has pool table and darts and karaoke which is a good night if the other 3 staff are running it not the woman , they do good quality beer spirits and match days r really good in there

Ruby guest accomdation and bar has the WORST service on the planet. The manager is rude, treats people very badly and they have the worst customer service. I personally won’t return and I advise others not to.

A group of us visited this place a few weeks ago the night before doing a McMilland 26 mile hike, in the hope that we would have a substantial meal, as the menu looked good. Our veggie burgers turned up as two dried up slices of halloumi with salad on stale bread...no sign of the relish or burger as described on the menu. The beef burger that turned up was not cooked. When we told the staff she apologised and told us that it was the chefs second day, and actually their third chef in one week. I don't know where they found a 'chef' that doesn't know how to make a burger, but we didn't want to take any chances the day before the charity walk, so we politely requested a refund. The manager came to speak to us and said he would discuss it with the chef and come back, but he didn't return. We were then told that we could speak to the senior manager who they could contact on the phone. The first thing she said was that she didn't have time to speak to us as she was going out and that she would not give us a refund. She would not listen to our complaint and when asked whether she knew what should be included in the veggie burger, her response was 'I'm not a veggie, so why should I know!'....great customer service! Unfortunately we had no option other than to leave with no food and no refund.

After a disappointing cream tea at Stamner house we came in here for a bite to eat . Nice quite place. I had the Welsh rarebit My friend had the nachos and child had sausage and chips. Nice quality food and service was good. Well Rarebit was tasty they used strong quality cheese.

Stopped here for food and drinks before Brighton game. The place offers Indian Takeaway menu. And there is a blackboard which lists typical pub menu on offer at any time which includes breakfast, sandwiches Fish and Chips etc. The facilities here is nice and clean with good seating areas. The bar has good choice of lagers, spirits and cocktails. The place looks fairly newly renovated. Recommended for away fans visiting Brighton. 20 minutes from the stadium.
