Quite disappointed. We came here previously when attending Conference and was good but don't know if chef has changed but standards have dropped. Poppadoms were soft. We ordered two different chicken Curry's which looked very similar. We ordered an apple juice that was past it's best date. Won't be going back sadly.

Food wasn't great.owner decided to tell us she's sweating and having heart problem.. Be aware they charge service charge 10%

Partner and I went here for a meal, lady in the restaurant was friendly and helpful. The food was okay. Nothing special. Food is a bit pricey, we had curry dishes with rice and nan plus poppadoms with dips , the bill was nearly £50 as they add an extra 10% service charge to the bill,I was a bit shocked. We will not be going back.

The spot was very cute with a lot of warmth from the team. The variety of Indian meals was excellent with healthy portions which we truly enjoyed. The manager was a gem and very friendly. Unfortunately wasnt able to get the lamb but the chicken options were good

Horrendous! My curry tasted like a tin of tomato sauce (seriously). It was just tomato with no Indian spices. By far, the worst curry I've ever had. I complained to the manager but they weren't interested and had an attitude and we're just rude. The restaurant was run down inside, cold and just not nice. The staff took ages with the food and then when we finished we felt forced to leave. AVOID

Worst experience with the Bangladeshi lady sitting as the front of house, first of all they bought wrong order and we had that as we were in rush, then she was throwing money while she was returning the change, the lady has a bad attitude and she doesn't respects anyone, pathetic customer service and pathetic staff.

Worst Experience as Indian Restaurant. I f you love Indian food then this is not for you. Even the customer service is worst. You can’t give order in between your meal once you gave your order at first. The lady is very rude to the customers. Food is also not much delicious.

Terrible. Dirty dishes from other tables were brought to the empty table next to ours instead of the kitchen. Restaurant was half empty and waitress rudely refused to move us to another table when requested, claiming that there were insufficient tables. Took more than 30mins before food was served. Waitress repeatedly asked customers to hand the dirty plates to her instead of collecting them herself. Food is significantly overpriced for the service you receive. Finally we were rudely asked to leave when we provided feedback, claiming that she has been running this business for 40years. Why would you even try?

An insult to Indian hospitality. The woman running the restaurant is a disrespectful woman with poor manners. Completely ruined my sojourn to Brighton. Not to mention the dirty dishes left for ages at the side of the table left for « no space in the kitchen ». Food is a disgrace. Run away.

Lovely little place - the rogan and dupiaza were amazing - both the chicken and lamb were so tender. Onion bhajis and Shiah kebab both tasty and poppadoms with dips were excellent - a good array of tasty dips. Special mention to the lady who was running the restaurant- she was so nice and looked after us really well.

Curry was fine but popadoms and rice were horrible. The worst part was settling the bill and then having the previously friendly manager coming back to charge us an extra £4.50 plus mandatory tip because she had made an error when totalling up. No apology was offered as if it was our fault. Strange place, i would avoid!

Wife and I called in as from the window the restaurant looked attractive and we were hungry. Food was okay, nothing special, I have eaten far better for a lot less cost. It is just the basic Indian wholesale pre prepared sauces, not homemade. A gripe that always gets me is the added service charge, surely the staff are paid a minimum/living wage, the waitress was an older woman who seems to be part of a family that runs the place. I asked for it to be removed and paid in cash, my change was all in ones and fives pennies, Lol, so childish! IF I want to tip, and I often do, then I'd rather pay cash from my pocket, not have it added to my Invoice, that is cheeky! Won't go again, there are far better and cheaper places to go to.

I went two times, first time it was good food but slow service second time the same but when we ask about the 50% offer they have (which we didn’t see in the ad.) she shouted at us and she was very rude everyone was looking at us we were very embarrassed she could say that Saturday not included in the offer. Never going back!

I thought, very expensive. While choosing from the menue we where offered 4 poppadoms and chutneys, I knew they weren't free but was shocked to see we had been charged nearly £15 for them £7 for a beer etc If a meal for two for £80 is your thing then this is your place but I for one will be going somewhere that is better value for money

I've been to Nooris, I tried the garlic chilli chicken and Pashwairi nann and spicy potato and It was wonderful! Service was great aswell. If I ever go to Brighton again I will go to this restaurant. I recommend it!

We had the early bird set menu that ends at 8pm - 2 courses £12. The atmosphere and welcome could not be better - nothing is too much trouble. Bottle of wine at good price £18. The food was excellent value for money, great quality and fresh ingredients. Located perfectly in the heart of Brighton Lanes, close to the sea and fabulous bars. Have been here many times before with our family and will keep coming back. Thank you! 🤩

I was not keen to go inside this restaurant. I was with a male friend who was tired of walking around in search for the Thai restaurant Rude arrogant waitress. She must be the manager. I was keen to get up & tell her to shove it Tasteless & overly oily thick sauce. All meals is served with this ghastly savoury sludge Do not let them direct you to near the window. They are using you to make the place look busy for those walking past. The food, rubbish. The well built waitress was insistent that every meal has a thick sauce. In other words, customers must expect a meal with a thick sauce. Indian restaurants have ready-made cartons of ready-made buttery sauce I realised afterwards that i was not served a butterfly pawn, but served 3 prawn filo from a supermarket, it tasted supermarket version. My friend paid who is never bothered about the quality of his foods. . He was charged £86.00 for two of us . Day light robbery. My mate stupidly did not take his receipt. I bet that they charged him extra for gratuity.

I have visited this Indian restaurant in Brighton, England. I have ordered the chicken tikka biryani. Unfortunately, the biryani didn't live up to the authentic Indian taste I was expecting. Additionally, the bottled mango juice, priced at £2.95, was a bit underwhelming. For those seeking genuine Indian flavors, this might not be the ideal place. On a positive note, the service provided by the lady was excellent, adding a pleasant touch to the overall dining experience.

Visited by chance while on the way to a different curry house - what a mistake. Ordered chicken wings and a staff chicken curry with a Peshawari naan. Waited 40 minutes for 4 tiny wings with a bit of shredded lettuce and then waited another 30 for my main which I decided to take away due to the place being freezing cold. My staff curry was bland chicken in a watery sauce and the naan resembled nothing like a Peshawari naan with no sign of any of the expected ingredients. They even tried to add a service charge which I found to be insulting due to the poor service. Will definitely not return or recommend this place. The worst curry I have ever had.

I returned to Nooris with friends after a gap of a number of years. The food is still excellent, very tasty, and it was nice to be recognised with a warm welcome. A cold beer, great food and friendly atmosphere made for a great evening.

I don't know should I say about this restaurant. I bought a voucher for dinner (for two - starters and main, I got 2 voucher), reserved and went to the restaurant. I informed them about it eariler. On the voucher it is a price including food choice. so I thought I shouldn't spend anything for food except some drink I order extra. But It wasn't like that. It was only discount vouchers that restaurant wanted to use in that way. I was disappointed very much. I explained to the lady there but they wanted the voucher to be discounted on the food only then pay extra on the rest. We ordered as normal. When the bill come, the voucher had been used it for 25% on the food (which I had calculated it) I hot voucher for £18 to be used for 25% discount! but it is dependent what you ordered. I didn't have any drinks, only water. and the rest were food for 4 ppl. The food is not too bad compared with another indian restaurant but I don't like the way I have been treated. I thought I got voucher to spend and eat starters and main for £18 but I have paid extra for £60 (including 10% service charge) You could search a voucher on Groupon and will understand everything. For myself, I don't think it is fair. I am not plan to go there again.

The food at this place is good. Visited to collect takeaway 26 October 23. They use two menus with different prices so please be careful to clarify when you order . Our initial order came to £74 when we checked we had been over charged by £31 . Big shame as the good is good

We have been tens of times to Nooris and never had a bad meal there. The food is old-style curries. They’ve recently re-vamped and are trading as a cross between a traditional Indian Noori and a “curry club” called Mumbai Chilli Club. As far as we could tell the curries were the same as before but with a swanky new menu and not cheap at £15 for a main. On the last visit the meal came quickly but we had to wait about 15 mins before our order was taken. The lady was most apologetic and we weren’t in a rush so didn’t mind. Incidentally, we have always found the lady (owner/manager) to be extremely friendly although always rushed off her feet. I suppose if you take offence easily then you might translate her being busy as brusque but really? No, she’s fine. We will always go back to Noori’s and highly recommend it as a place to go for good food, at a reasonable price, right off the seafront

Food sub-par, poppadoms were stale and over priced, the chicken tikka pakora was abysmal the only enjoyable part was the salad.

Had a great meal here. Delicious pickle tray and mixed starter. The owner was friendly and accommodating when we asked if we could have a slightly different naan. The main was worth the wait. Overall a great little place. We will be back again next time we are in Brighton!

Very slow service over an hour wait. Rude woman manager, other staff did their best. Overcharged on bill and told menu was wrong but price was reduced to match the menu. Had Dinner during my stay at Brighton. Though it's an Indian cuisine, Indian flavours tasted average and quantity was very less and ambience is average.

Surprised to see the low ratings provided by others. I live in Lancashire so I know a good Indian restaurant from a dodgy one, and this one was good. While at a conference in week 28 a friend and I had a meal here and I can only say we were both impressed. The food was brilliant. On a specific personal note as someon with special dietary requirements, the manager and the other staff members dealt with me in a polite and helpful manner.

Friday night table of five. Place was. Busy, Not enough staff or menus. Took a long time to get served but the waitress was apologetic. Food was mediocre. Small portions and very overpriced. Naan was hard and crispy and the tikka masala was more like korma. Disappointed and would not recommend particularly when there are so many Indian restaurants in the area.

Placed an order for (very local) delivery through their website. I was rung up after an hour to tell me it was cancelled, then, just as we were making alternative plans, called to say it was on its way. About half of the food ordered arrived, the rest of the items missing. I contacted them, they said that a new meal could be delivered any time in respect of all of this. When I contacted them to arrange this, I was given multiple reasons why they couldn’t do it that day (it’s a busy night, etc etc). They’ve now stopped responding at all. It’s a shame because the quality of food is superb, but you’re unlikely to get your full order, or any promises kept.

Really nice food, sensible size portions at sensible prices. Delivery was spot on.

They didn't put the poppadoms in, which I ordered. 75p but still, I did pay for it. The lamb biriyani was good but the vegetable curry that accompanies as a main part of the dish was not good at all. Oily, very liquid and contained one diced potato, one stalk of broccoli and a couple of runner beans. Looks like it was the last bit in the pan. Not ordering again.

We found this restaurant on our stay away in brighton for a couple nights. Upon entering we seen a clear sign that said “20% student discount” so we thought great and decided to go on. We got a table, inside was fine. Nice ish decor....
