Royston in West Lothian

We love Costa. Probably our first choice for coffee. Unfortunately the service in this particular Costa branch is the worst. Staff ignored the guest and very rude. Act like they don’t care in service. Busy with chit chatting.

Not impressed. Order was accepted for delivery at 8.10 but arrived at 9.30! Informed by chippie they were very busy but the lady was on her break when my order went through or it wouldn't have been accepted! This actually isn't my problem and food was lukewarm when delivered! Not sure I'll order again!

I had come here for a quick meal when visiting Linlithgow to see friends. The old post office is definitely interesting being that it’s inside an old post office. The staff were very pleasant seated us and had food and drinks orders sorted quickly. Overall good value for money and services is good definitely would return

I was obsessed with 1912 for a long time. I thought it was fantastic - generous portions of tasty food, fabulous cocktails and a nice setting. Having said that - I have never found it to be a great choice if the sun is shining - even in winter. The blinds barely come down to shield your eyes, which can be blinding at times, and uncomfortably hot in warmer months! It’s a regular complaint within the venue, when the sun is blasting in, so I don’t understand why after all these years, they haven't come up with a solution for this. As time went on, I sadly (and hate to admit it) felt that it was all getting a bit stagnant. Our most recent visit confirmed my feelings, and we won’t be returning, unless there is a new lease of life brought into the place! The menu has never changed in all the years since opening - the potions are smaller than ever - and prices are astronomical, for what you’re getting. The menus have been dirty and falling to pieces on many occasions where we have dined there! On our most recent visit, the food was pretty bland and they should be embarrassed at their steak pie “dish”. Literally a pie on a plate, and not much more. The drinks have a hefty price tag too and the atmosphere overall, was extremely dull. It’s such a beautiful venue, with so much potential! I feel that they have stuck with “what has always worked” but the novelty for me, has well and truly worn off and I would welcome a new menu for a start! In my opinion, it’s not an ideal restaurant for families with young children either. There isn’t a great menu for children and for the odd still in nappies - there are no changing facilities - so best that in mind! There really are far better restaurants in Bathgate to enjoy a meal - x4. fantastic alternatives, that I now struggle to choose between!

We come here at least 2 to 3 times a week absolutely in love way it we just discovered it after going to South Queensferry for ice cream and we are never going back 3 30 for 2 massive scoops of ice cream that's act soo good can't complain we will still continue to come
