Absolutely loved this place, the bar staff were lovely, food was so good both had the cowboy burgers and it was perfect. Drinks reasonably priced and the atmosphere of the place made us go again the next day! The locals were very friendly and chatty, the owners mick and Linda are so nice they go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy, can't wait to go back on our next visit to derby! See you again soon! ❤️

My friend and I called in for a last drink of the night after visiting the Pepperpots. We walked into the music of Karaoke. The regulars made us feel very welcome and when they found out it was a birthday night out they all sang Happy birthday to me. 🥰 The staff were also friendly and a warm welcome. We also danced to some great karaoke singers definitely worth a visit. Thank you for making my night extra special.

Sick pub! Best place to be, no where else in derby open during the week it’s great to have a place to go that is still serving great drink and has a good vibe! This is what derby is missing these days!

Good pub, well laid out, beer quality v good and food too.

I came inside and sat in the middle of the bar opposite the cash register. I just wanted to have a quick drink and relax after a hard day. I asked a pint of the cheapest lager. One lady poured a beer and told me the price £3.85, really surprised me. I usually pay 1.49 -1.99 for a pint when I go out. But there it was double price!! I didn't say anything - just paid. When I came in, there was music playing in the bar, a bit louder than usual, but I thought I could resist. I pulled out my phone and started checking my email and homework for the next week. I am a university student and also work 45 hours a week. Thought I would rest for a while and get my thoughts together. I was sitting right in front of the audio speaker, which was not working hopefully. But the happiness didn't last long. Suddenly, a woman came up to me and started checking the wires. She asked me, "Is the speaker works? I replied that it is not and that was fine, because the music was loud. She ignored this and purposely reconnected the wires, turned the speaker in my face and switched on the music so loud that it was impossible to resist. I moved to another table, finished my beer quickly, and ran out of the bar. I had no desire to go back there again. Awful.

I love this pub! A friend and I visited here last week and it's gorgeous inside! The staff are wonderful, the drinks are well priced and it's great! They also have different nights going on, great for students! I will definitely go again! Thank you Lindsey, Micky and Izzy!

The food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Burgers with BBQ, but there was no BBQ sauce at all, leaving the burger completely dry and unappetizing. It was a waste of money and far from what I expected. To make matters worse, the pudding was just as bad—bland and uninspiring. Sadly, this experience has convinced me never to return for food again, as it’s simply not worth the cost.

It was a vert friendly service ,I went in Christmas Day and asked for a meal ,all meals was fully booked but the manager went out his way to serve me a dinner ,it was very much appreciated and I can’t thank him enough

Popped in for a drink tonight for my birthday and the land lady gave us a free shot which I thought was lovely. The pub was decorated really good for Halloween. Good selection of drinks. Overall really nice experience and I wish the new managers well

Visited here today on a recent trip to derby, what a great pub with very attentive staff, they went above and beyond to make sure our food was good and we were happy with the service. It’s refreshing to see passionate people trying their best to bring back that traditional home from home pub feeling! Can’t wait to see what changes are made by the new management when I return in January great job guys

this is my local pub drink pffen new landlady doing fantastic job and turn the place around the staff are helpful they moved the pool table down the bottom the have a carpark a the back which you can redeem towards food and drink

A lovely maintained clean pub .. Had a lovely meal at really good value .. Very friendly staff .. Had a really nice time everyone was very welcoming .. decent parking and you get your car park money redeemed off your food and drinks.. Highly recommended 100% will definitely be returning ..

Stumbled across this place after a days shopping, lovely and clean, fantastic staff, great outside area for relaxing of an evening with a cider or a bottle of wine, pool table looks better where it has been moved too, they have a disco/karaoke on a Friday night, not to be missed

This place is defo somewhere worth visiting! I was dubious about coming to the telegraph as its previously been somewhere I've walked past and seems like a old mans pub, but I was stopped on the street by the landlady as she was cleaning leafs, we had a conversation and she invited me in to the pub for a drink, well what can I say that was at 2 in the afternoon...... I left at close! What a brilliant time I had the landlady and her partner are great fun and also very kind, they became great people for me to share some of my troubles with and that goes a massive way! The pubs lovely the drink was great and even the chips I had were nice! It's goingto be my regular from now on!

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to the Royal Telegraph. A sizeable, traditional pub that serves a good range of beers and wines with a wide selection of pub classics on the food menu. Ended up with a huge burger and chips. Not enough room for a couple of Guinness and a plate full of food to be honest. Not a regular visitor to Derby but we'll be back. Thankyou.

Although this pub was open until 12 pm, we were refused service at 1140 pm despite being in the pub since 10 pm. It seemed the barkeep just wanted to go home early despite the pub being 90% empty. It does not make great business sense and spoiled our evening. We will not be returning or recommending this place. Bye!

I always have a great time here, food is great, beer taste nice and cold , staff are amazing and do their best to keep there customers happy. Loads of different beers, ales and great cocktails for the summer. Also a nice beer garden in the back.

Great community pub with Sky sports, city centre parking (pay and display but cheap), good staff, friendly, entertainment and nice food.

Car park not free ,I received a £70 ticket on Friday after I had stopped at the pub for dinner,thinking the carparking was free I displayed my disabled badge and was only there for 30 minutes.

Went in there last night.l was not happy with the coffee it was off.so l asked for a anyone and that was off too .and look on the bar my god how many glasses needed washing the new owners have no idea what there are doing in there

Had a steak and kidney pie here for supper. There is no table service. You go to the bar to order and pay for your food. The staff were pleasant.

Visited with two friends and had lunch. Similar food to that served at wetherspoons but more expensive. Acceptable but nothing special. Good atmosphere and not too busy.

We visited for drinks on a Sunday evening and it was very quiet but it was clean and service was quick. They have 3 slot machines, a pool table and beer garden and serve food.

Decent sports pub and reasonably priced food - it's a Marston's

Friendly folks and a nice little beer garden. A little bit pricier than some places. We went there on match day and there were plenty of Derby County supporters. Would have got the extra star if it had a little more shade in the beer garden and if the prices were a little lower.

Only played pool match there. Changed a lot, nice crowd
