A busy pub. The service was very good. The pub was clean an tidy. The beer was well kept not too cold. The food was OK. My partners posh fish and chip were very good. I had sirloin and I thought the steak was a bit too chewy

Rob was very pleasant & very helpful.

A family Sunday lunch for 5, including a one year old. The staff were knowledgeable re allergens (Natasha's law) and checked everything fully. They were very helpful and the service was fantastic. The food was tasty and there was a perfect break of a few minutes between courses. I'll definitely recommend The Broadway and will return.

We used to visit every couple of weeks. During the summer we stopped as away. - went today. Still great prices. But today, poor service, the bar server, was unable to serve customers in sequence. The food was poor. The pies crust was rock hard, the cabbage like a week old soggy wallpaper. - nowhere as good as it was 6 months ago

Really should've taken some pictures of our plates, they were loaded! Lots of reserved tables, although it was Sunday lunch, so their roasts can't be too bad. There are a few big table seating areas for large groups and I'm sure they'll accommodate for gatherings. The environment was clean and relaxed, less catered towards children. They have loyalty coffee and meal cards to stamp each visit for a freebie and an app to order seated. Lots of parking and easy to spot.

Couldn't go wrong on the latest visit. Just need to sort the app out.

We had a meal for me and my mum, we couldn't of wished for a more lovely time. The meal was outstanding, we both had the beef rib, we even asked who the chefs were because it was so nice(tony and Cam)it looked and tasted amazing. The service from Jack was brilliant. Thank you all for a lovely time.

Had a really nice time with the family! After a walk round darley park, we popped in with our toddler for a drink and the staff were so accommodating and looked after us. We ended up eating and was lovely. Kids menu is spot on 👌

Went for a family meal for 5 adults. The service was excellent, quick and very friendly. The food was cooked to to perfection by the chef Camren, very good portions, cooked to all our likings in a wonderful atmosphere, all I would ask for is a bigger plate for the mixed grill.

The food was delicious and was handled with care and I experienced top notch service throughout. The atmosphere is very comfy/warm and welcoming with a dog friendly area. I would highly recommend.

Visited for an early dinner, I had the thick cut gammon and my wife the bacon and cheese burger. The burger came with extra hair the gammon extra oil and over cooked eggs. For dessert my wife had the biscoff sundae which see enjoyed and I the crumble which was ok. All in all I would recommend coming for a drink but not the food.

Used to go there often before COVID. Recently went in for a drink with someone there and got a £100 fine for parking my car there for only 45 minutes whilst spending money in their establishment and entered car reg and it seemingly not picked up or register on tablet. With all the pub closing daily, it not surprising to see why. It not great to be living in (Not so) Great Britain with capitalist from London looking to make people suffer. Sorry to say that I won't be visiting you again.

Great having our School Reunion drinks get together there last night. We were looked after by the staff who were very helpful and the discounted Fizz offer that was on was great bonus 😊. Lovely to revisit the pub we used to frequent just down the road from our old School 😀 🤫. Thank you for accommodating us.

We went for Sunday lunch and having being here before the food was always good but today it was shocking I could have got a better meal at toby carvery for half the price. We waited an hour for Sunday dinner for there to be a chicken wing and 1piece of gammon for a duo with aunt Bessie roast potatoes that were half done very would recommend the cauliflower cheese through the best thing I’ve eaten here this afternoon, very disappointed and won’t be coming again.

Food seems to be going down hill, great pub tho.

Was there with my elderly mum who has dementia and dad who isn't so good either... Staff were caring and considerate and made us all welcome and made a plain cheese sandwich for mum even though it wasn't on the menu... Thoughtful and caring 👍

Just had a meal at your restaurant Disappointed. Chips cold & tough salt so damp we had to take the top off the shaker. Cheese cake so hard needed a black & decker. We took it home to defrost. Also it was served on a hot plate. I am not sure that we will make a return visit.

We were staying in the area for my son’s wedding and ate at The Broadway. Lovely staff and great food at great prices. The place was quite empty but it was a Monday night so probably to be expected. I had calamari and the ultimate burger and it was all delicious. Plenty people sitting outside when we left so obviously popular with locals. If you are in the area you must eat here.

A great pub for dinner, drinks and breakfast. Been a few times for breakfast now and might need to make it a regular thing on the weekends. Great menu and great service. Will accommodate to food preferences and very dog friendly too which is a bonus for us. The two guys serving this morning behind the bar are brilliant! Thanks guys 😁

Great food again - chicken wings starter followed by Rib of Beef main - delicious as usual. Great deal on the drinks too using the wine night code. Food and service faultless.

I’ve only been here a few times, but the times i have been here the staff have been exceptional with friendly faces everywhere. The drinks are great with options of free water which is always great on a hot sunny day. The toilets are very clean and hygienic. Lovely outdoor seating with a nice accessible car park. The only critique i could offer is with some of the dishes, for example the chargrilled chicken dish was supposed to come with a salad bowl and cheese except it came with no cheese and just peas and no bowl. However the desserts were lovely like the brownie and the nachos they serve are very nice.

Staffs are friendly and nice. Services are very quickly and foods are perfect make us full up! 😋

Went for a drink and a bit of lunch after our hockey game. Plenty of seating, helpful, friendly staff behind the bar, easy online ordering for food/drinks at the table. Food was delicious and reasonably priced for the portion size. 😊

Went to the broadway for an 80th birthday. Our waitress Bo was brilliant. Couldn’t do enough for us. Food lovely, was served pretty quickly- there were 6 of us. Food nice and hot. Plenty to choose from off the menu. Will definitely return.

We regularly eat at the Broadway and as always the food, drink and service were all exceptional.

Table of 8 on a busy sunny weekday evening. Drinks ordered via the app were delivered to the table really quickly. All enjoyed the food. I had the beef short rib which came with plenty of veg, a small dauphinoise stack and jug of gravy. Much better than I'd expected it to be.

An unexpected visit due to the rain calling off play elsewhere. The 7 of were welcomed and seated by the staff even with limited tables (due to reservations prebooked), promptly served with drinks whilst we table orderd food on the app. As soon as the order hit the kitchen cutlery we're out ready and order checked (as we ordered mains and starters but wanted them all together). The food came with a short wait time. Food was lovely, great presentation and service. Checked upon a couple of times during and after the meal. Staff beyond brilliant. Beautiful place, great atmosphere and dog friendly area too. We will be returning. Next time I'll bring puggy pup to. Thanks to all.

Spent very pleasant couple of hours with friends in a very relaxed atmosphere. Then spoilt by nippy barman who told us we had to vacate the table in 15 minutes for a booked party. This was immediately after we had bought another round of drinks from him. Could he not have told us about the booking before we spent another 40 quid, or were the targets for the day down?

Easy on the eye, appetite and wallet. A classy pub with family friendly prices and really good food and drink. It's easy to book a table online and you can order from your seat, but top marks for giving customers a choice in still taking orders at the bar and accepting cash. A very welcoming and efficient place and an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Went in for a drink with business colleagues and got a £100 fine for parking my car there for 1 hour 6 minutes whilst spending money in their establishment. Will never drink or eat there again. Totally over zealous parking management. If thats how they treat their customers in the current climate they deserve to have no customers or business.

Visited at a weekday lunch with two other couples after a walk in Darkey Abbey park. Bar staff were obliging and pleasant. Choice of ales. Proper Job proved a good choice! Chose off the set lunch menu. Decent choice. Fish cakes were good. Would visit again.

Dropped in for a lazy late breakfast and were not disappointed. Recommend the veggie breakfast and also the waffles. If you use the car park don't forget to tap your number plate into one the ipad thingies fixed to the bar. There are plenty of signs around the place to remind you.

Absolutely gutted to receive a PARKING CHARGE NOTICE for ONE HUNDRED POUNDS, a couple of weeks after attending this pub for a family get together after a funeral at Markeaton Crematorium. It feels as though the management has acted really sneakily. I didn't see any warning signs about paying for parking & to be honest, wouldn't have looked for any, as if I am giving a pub my custom, it's usual for the parking to be free. I was feeling quite upset after the funeral, so even less likely to have noticed. (If they are worried about students using the car park, then why not just ask customers to give their car registration numbers at the bar? Or even just have staff mention it?) In fairness, the establishment did put on rather a nice spread, but this has really soured my memories of that day.

I came to the Broadway today for the first time with a friend for lunch. The place is lovely, staff were nice and the food was good. I had the roasted veg linguine. It was so yummy!!!😋😋 I will definitely be back when I next visit my friend in Derby. Maggie

Easter Sunday Meal.. So every time that we have eaten here it has been superb..So tasty & served very well. Have always recommended The Broadway. Today though was really poor..So not up to par. 6 family members at 15.45 booked for a table. Service was great 👍..but meals really were poor..not the usual standard. Vegetables were the worst..undercooked. Asked & had them replaced. Were hotter but still too crunchy. Al Dante may be the way but these tasted as though they had sat in a bowl of tepid water, not tasted by the chef & then served..Dreadful. Chicken a little dry, gammon too salty and roasts cold. As it was a family outing.. I didn't want to cause an issue. It's disappointing for me to submit this review..but fed back is the only way to bring attention. Came away not as happy as usual.. Will eat there again as its a lovely place. Hopefully the food then will be at the standard as it should be.. Cooked, Hot & Delicious 😋 The staff were attentive & professionals

Busy and hard to find a seat. Glasses left on table but it obviously had staff issues. Normally nice enough place to visit.
