Strange little pub, like an escapee from another time. They obey all the rules associated with Covid-19, but don't accept cards? So, the biggest single item for risking infection...cash...flows freely across the bar. The have a in out entry system, but no signs on the doors to tell you this. Large steps at both points would seem to preclude wheelchair entry? The locals are welcoming in the main, but a few seemed slightly put out by the presence of strangers. Overall, not a place I'll be rushing back to...or at least until cash is no longer king!!

1 - 6, The Palfreys Old Blacksmiths Yd, Sadler Gate, Derby DE1 3PD, United Kingdomwell where shall I start got the drinks when we got in ordered starters the lady brought the knives and forks and chucked them on the table the starters were OK waited for the mains to arrive my aunty ordered scampy it was burnt so sent that back my husbands rock wasn't hot enough to cook anything on so sent that back and said don't want another one mine took that long to try and cook it so took it home sent the peppercorn sauce back it was freezing it never returned plus the mens toilets down stairs didn't have a tap so couldn't wash hands but it was also the disabled toilet and baby changing facility what load of rubbish so all in all what a crap experience we had you wasn't bothered you are charging good money for 1 star food

Friar GateWe did the bottomless brunch. I like that you can do it in the evenings too. There was lots of space at the table. We were given a heater because it was cold. The food came out quickly and was nice. They had no pizza available which was a shame but the burger was tasty. The drinks were constantly bought to us. Staff made sure they came regularly to the table to ensure we has drinks. We managed to get a total of 9 drinks each and a round of shots at the end. Definitely would recommend and we can't wait to go back again.
