Horrible with me when I am talking

Food is nice but delivery is a joke. Waiting over an hour for dessert ain’t the one.

Called the shop to place an order which the lady confirmed. Waited an hour for my food to be delievered to my house, called the shop again they said the order hadn’t even been put through. Incompetent staff. Top tip: spend a few more pennies on your staff and employ adults not children who can barely speak

Awful customer service. Take ages to deliver and packaging is always poor. They never pick up their bloody phone.

Took 2 hours for the food to arrive. 4 different delivery drivers cancelled. 2 hours is awful and appalling. It's pay weekend they should be putting more than 1 member of staff on shift. Delivery driver informed me only 1 member of staff on on shift. They should invest in staff. Need to do better in future Rang but they didn't answer. Should inform if there's a long wait. So I could cancel in future.

After reading some incredible reviews about the amazing desserts and service (in particular Fatima ) I thought it was finally time to try out waffle box in Normington derby The place stands out with its modern but simple design and the prominent illuminated sign put me at ease knowing I had finally arrived…. I was nervous as to what awaited me !!!!! We’re the dessert reviewers all true ? was Fatima really the dessert queen of Normington ? Or was it all just hype? I was about to finally find out….. Inside the place is very clean and modern and there is ample stylish seating for everyone if your a single lonely loner like me or even if your with friends and family I don’t think you will struggle to be seated. Now the moment I had anticipated as I came to the counter it was empty ….my heart sank…. no bundle of sprinkles to greet me (Fatima) there was an old school bell on the counter so I closed my and eyes gave it a hopeful press praying my prayers were answered….. when I slowly opened my eyes I couldn’t believe it ….. like out of a sene from a movie there she was it must be her I thought to myself ….. that swagger that orange T shirt those grey trackie bottoms those sliders finally I got the infectious smile and the showing of those natural pearly whites ….. I knew it was her the dessert queen of Normington …..finally I was in the presence of greatness…… Just looking at her makes you want to order the whole menu but I had to calm myself down and try to be professional I finally decided on an old classic jam sponge with custard along side a Kashmiri pink tea After taking my order away she went with the walk of swagger Dan into the back and there I was twiddling my thumbs and bopping my head and feet to the Classic R&B tunes pumping in the background It wasn’t long before I got my dessert from the ever glowing Fatima who seemed like she glided across the floor to personally served it to my table. The presentation was impressive …..but when I tasted the sponge I felt my tastebuds explode into excitement and I felt I had been transported back into time to and I was back at school where I used to have this all the time …. the tea was equally as good giving me flashbacks of sitting in the lush valleys of Kashmir itself I honestly recommend you try this place out the service and desserts are second to none and you will struggle to find a better place in my opinion if nothing else you have to pop in just to set eyes on the queen herself FATIMA

Got two portions of waffles from this place as me and my partner wanted some waffles. As first timers here, we expected the usual waffles with good portions. Instead we was greated with small rectangular waffle with next to no toppings and drenched in chocolate sauce. Safe to say, it isn't value for money.

Perhaps the most decent dessert place in derby (now that chocoberry has closed). The portions are standard and you don’t have to check whose serving to guess the quality of your order. All items on the menu are well prepared and I’ve never had an issue with quality. Well mannered staff but service suffers slightly (naturally) when it gets busier. The seating is clean and the sofas are not peeling off like most dessert shops.

Lovely waffles. Clean seating areas with a corner set up with a colorful backdrop to take fun photos The contactless wasn't working when we visited but they helpfully accepted a bank transfer. Only wish they had toilets though.

I had a wonderful experience at wafflebox and the desserts I had were amazing. A server called deen helped me pick a few treats and was polite, helpful and happy the whole time. Will definitely come again.

Best tasting dessert shop in derby, good customer service and very fast service

Went today for a sundae treat and we were not disappointed. The place is nice and clean and the customer service is fantastic. The sundaes were exception lovely, tasty and great value for money. We will be back soon to try the waffles. Thanks again to the young girl with a smile on her face and great customer service.

Ordered on uber eats. Order never turned up. Rang them and they couldn't care less just excuses. Won't be using again.

WaffleBox Derby is Best tasting dessert place in Derby I would say miles better than the overrated heavenly desserts! The two chocolate cakes with custard and the waffle were delivered to the correct temperature (well done), and the strawberry sundae was packed in a separate bag (very nice touch) and also very well presented. Every item was a delight to eat. Credit to the staff who made it. Will be ordering again you have gained a new customer!!!

Addictive desserts, best desert place in derby

Very disappointed wafflebox we got wrong order given to us by Uber driver and when we rang wafflebox they said we had to contact driver they couldn't do anything, I've been loyal with wafflebox but they let me down big time very very angry and annoyed. Never going again to rip off box. Not surprised to see been 1 star ratings before. Still haven't had my refund.

2 hours to arrive and cold not impressed

I ordered food from this restaurant all they had to do was deliver I told the driver I had a young toddler I cannot leave the house, the driver insisted he can’t leave his parked car as it will be stolen. I then rang the restaurant sort this explained the situation for them to reply we’ll just keep our food. If I could give a negative star believe me you guys would have it disgusting set of human beings

DONT ORDER FROM HERE - worst service ever!! Made a small order using justeat, 1 waffle and 2 milkshakes, nothing strenuous! Current update - 2 hours later; no food, just eat app saying ‘enjoy your food’ like it’s been delivered, and waffle box are not answering their phone. What a joke!!!

First time I've tried this place, wasn't really impressed. Firstly the customer service is a bit lacking, no please, no thank you, just handed me the bag didn't say nothing. I asked for knife and fork for my food they said they don't have any, only plastic spoons. Anyway onto the food, I ordered regular wafflebox, looking at the photos I thought would get 2 waffles (hotdog size) on the box, but only 1 was in there. I'm assuming the large wafflebox which is £1 extra has 2 in there? Needless to say £4.80 for 1 is expensive! The vanilla ice cream that came with it was like the cheap mcdoanlds ice cream! Then onto the shake I ordered an aero mint shake. When I tasted it I could taste bits of aero but seems like only 1 stick in instead of 2... Anyway the shake tasted exactly like the cheap vanilla ice cream with bits of aero in. Wasn't impressed! Needless to say won't be returning as the prices don't justify the food taste or quantity given.

bought 2 sundae for £10 and was just a total waste of money. the strawberry sundae had frozen strawberry that was actually hard to bite in and the oreo sundae wasnt even half eaten only 2 spoons that's how horrible it was and the ice cream was the ones you can buy from.ice cream van for £1 here it's £5. wouldn't ever go back or reccomend

Different kind of cookie dough, not so rich and sweet which was perfect and enjoyable, Reese wafflebox was delicious. Skittles milkshake was unbelievably refreshing.

The premises was very clean and welcoming, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, well done. Finally and most importantly the food was lovely I had the cookie dough, the waffle and a milkshake absolutely lovely and refreshing. Well done keep it up, I will be back for more.

This place shouldn't even be in Normanton! Normanton is known for great quality food and generous portion sizes but this place fails to succeed in both scenarios. I ordered 2x Bueno Delight, Large, White Chocolate. The waffle was so hard I couldn't even chew it. I had to use a knife and fork to split it into pieces which failed. Hence I gave up and threw both of them in the bin. This was the most embarrassing moment in my life my guests were from out of town. This place has really embarassed the whole of Derby. I guarantee you this place won't make it by the end of next year.

Drove past this the other day and thought Ill give it a try as it looked promising. Was feeling something sweet so with it being covid lockdown atm I can't eat in so can't critique the dining in experience or the customer service Placed the order on just eat and it arrived within the allocated time and the delivery person who handed me the food delivered it courteously. The waffle was well packed and the packing was clean and branded well The waffle itself tasted great however you know when you microwave chocolate and it cools down and it becomes a bit a bit flakey, it tasted like that and felt a bit half arsed. The portion size itself wasn't the greatest, with the dessert/waffle business being over saturated you would have hoped for a bit more for the money and you can get full sized waffled for less. It came with soft serve ice cream which is also a bit of a let down compared when the standard is a gelato I think 3 out of 5 stars is a fair review, the food tasted good however it doesn't feel like it was value for money Some improvements is to add more options, the fact there is no maple syrup or Nutella option is criminal and to increase portion size

We had a kinder bueno waffle, and a white chocolate cookie dough. The waffle was great, nice and crispy , resulting in one of the best waffles I have had. On the other hand, the cookie dough was very disappointing. The portion size was a major problem which may stop me from coming here again (literally 3 bites)!
