After ordering what I usually order, every time I order (which is frequently), for some reason this time was loaded with jalapeños to which I am allergic, total let down from a usually excellent establishment…

delivery driver complaining that he had to deliver to my address definitely won't be ordering from here again

I will never use this place again sent 2 wrong pizzas and then was so rude on phone saying nowt he can do coz manager not in. I gave that looser a massive tip once. way he spoke to Me on phone discussing an just eat are discussing coz they haven't refunded me neither so both have lost a very loyal customer. horrid

The pilau rice was overpowered by cinnamon, the curries were cold and meat was chewy in the keema, the chapatti was rock solid, there was hardly any topping on the pizza and the wrong drink was sent. When I rang up all that could be said was “I will let the chef know”.

Lovely food usually on time with very polite delivery drivers however we were let down Saturday night 20 mins late also our daughter ordered her delivery was 35 mins late and in her words very substandard food we had recommended them why is it you find a takeaway and after you have ordered several times they think the have you forever I don't understand there mentality wake up and deliver on time with quality food every time

Me and my partner usually attend in person for food from royal spice however, today we were without transport so opted for just eat instead. We made our usual order although I usually go for chicken Karahi Asian style but today fancied something different, so I went for chicken pathia, it was lovely nice and sweet and not too spicy. Plenty of chicken and was mouth wateringly delicious. Delivered on time all food was still hot and order was correct. My partner enjoyed her pizza also and we’re cur

First time I’ve been disappointed tonight. Normally I can count on this place for a good curry. Paid for a king prawn dish to come with the smallest normal prawns I’ve ever seen. And pretty tasteless. Bhaji’s weren’t up to usual standards either. Hope this was just one off night.

Regular customer here and tonight was dreadful poppadoms was stale order 2 mix pickle only ever send one and onion barjis was burnt and the rice was clumped together .not impressed !

Everything was absolutely fine with the food and we love this takeaway our go to every month for about 7years. We only have an issue with the just eat drivers as they can be late and sometimes rude.

I have ordered from here previously and always enjoyed it, sadly this isn't the case today and I rarely leave a bad review. Chapatis were cold, hard and dry so can only assume they were stale, definitely wasn't fresh. The tikka sauce on my chips lacked any flavour or spice and was way too salty. Sadly gone in the bin. Kids pizzas, one arrived with topping stuck to the outside of the box. I didn't eat any so can't say what they were like in that respect. So disappointing though. On the plus side delivery guy was polite. Won't be rushing to reorder sorry.

To start: Chapattis were crispy and flakey. Onion bhaji’s were also stale and rock hard! Curry was ok, but not fresh chicken…Quietly furious, as cost £20+ and was not enjoyable!

I ordered 2 boiled rice and got sent 2 pilau rice instead. I ordered 3 chapattis and got sent 2 which I'm not too happy about. But can't complain about the food.

Amazing delivery time. But I ordered pepperoni and I got pineapple. It was too late for me to get a replacement … very sad. If you like pineapple on pizza it was probably really tasty

Ordered 2 pizzas garlic margaretia and 1 normal margaretia and no clue wish was were garlic, nothing written on boxes and all tasted the same, disgusted

Gave everyone instant runs, I rang to complain the dough wasn't cooked on the pizza enough and we would like another one that was cooked more for us to be swore at by the guy on the phone and he accused us of lieing!!! I would AVOID this takeaway and take your well earnt money to a takeaway that deserves it!!!!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet another gorgeous curry from Royal Spice. I have been meaning to leave a review for a while so here it is. Always excellent and friendly staff.

Food is amazing full of flavour 😋 everything I've tried seems really good 👍

Half the food arrived but was missing the other half, (I only ordered 3 items one of them being a salad so confused on how I only received one of my items the first time around. Was a pretty simple order) rang the restaurant and they delivered the rest 15 minutes later leaving the food I already had going soggy and cold. Was my first time trying this place but won’t be coming back. Delivery man was lovely tho and the restaurant staff was also nice when I rang back up to let them know about my missing items but the food it’s self wasn’t great.

Always excellent. Favourite take away hands down.

Food was great but choice for rice over chapatis was ignored so that was a little bit disappointing- arrived quickly though!

I ordered a chicken kalma and i was up all night being sick and bad stomach pains and when I phoned them today there said my home was dirty bare in mind I had not eaten all day and that was the only thing i had I have my food and hygiene certificate I am a very clean person and everyone who I know knows my home is clean and tidy I have many ill issues I will never order from this place again the guy who i spoken was arguing with me

Royal Spice - its just "nice" I wasn't blown with my socks off with royal spice, but it was a medium average for a standard takeaway. My criticisms are: The Korma Curry, a thick paste of sauce with dry chicken and a slight eggy smell. I feel the sauce was missing a lot of coconut milk to give it a real smooth creamy texture, it was just too dry and thick and needed a bit more taste and creaminess. Pilal rice - I was hoping for strong seasoned tumeric rice but the rice was fairly plain with a slight grey/brown colour. Not the vibrant yellow I was expecting. There wasn't much taste of cardamon pods either. The pashwari Naan was very flat and not very coconutty. It seemed like it had just been heated in a microwave rather than cooked with fresh ingredients and baked in a hot oven. I would expect a more authentic naan for £3.00 Mixed meat starter - a good sezed portion of onion bhargi, one samosa, two kebabs and some chicken strips. The kebab tasted slightly seasoned and was perhaps missing dark earthy spices. The bargi was good, samosa was good. The chicken strips were oily and dry. Overall, the food for me can do with some improvement, fresher ingredients more flavour and authentic spices in the food. Huddersfield is a cheap city with cheap rent prices, quality should be a lot higher for prices which match big city takeaways

Myself my partner and my daughter are regular customers here, love the curries from here usually order chicken karahi Asian style and they never disappoint. Accompanied by the wonderful customer service and friendly service we receive here, we regularly get food from here and are always greeted with smiles and find the atmosphere very upbeat and we look forward to our curry nights after going to Royal Spice 😀love you guys !

Actually ordered food to be delivered at 18:45 due to guest arriving. It arrived at 18:00 which was way to early! No point in asking what time would like it delivered if it’s ignored and delivered asap?! First time ever had to down score these guys but disappointing this evening!

Excellent food. Perfect delivery and on-time. Which is good for a busy Saturday night. I had chicken tikka pieces and chips. Plenty of chicken and tasted lovely. Others had chicken tikka jalfrezi and they said was very nice and ate everything.

Food was average, naan breads on the doughy side, pakora tasted like they were frozen and not freshly made. Curry was nice but I ordered a bhuna and this only vaguely resembled one.

Ordered from here before in the past and the food was lovely, although now it’s definitely gone downhill and the food was abysmal. The food was either burnt, or tasted and looked reheated, which isn’t what you expect when you pay for food.

Use this takeaway quite regularly and have seen a decline in food quality lately and have had issues with missing items. Tonight will be the last time we order from Royal spice, the food was disgusting and went in the bin. The meat in our kebab was rock hard, practically burnt and the chicken was drier than the Sahara desert. Really disappointed as they're a local takeaway and we like to support our own.

Poppadoms are not freshly prepared. Sent my son to collect order hadnt gone through so redid it when he arrived, and he waa made to wait outside in the cold for over 30mins. Not the first time ive seen this treatment towards children.

We order the Tikka Korma as they're very mild, but the last few times we have ordered I believe we have been given Tikka masalas, they're far too spicy for my partner and taste more like a Tikka Masala than a Tikka Masala Korma that we have before. We didn't complain because how can you complain thay something doesn't taste how you think it should? But it's resulted in my partner leaving her meal this evening as it was too spicy, I wonder if they have misread the order slip. Foods good tho when it's not too spicy.
