most of the food was lovely except one rice box, the rice was lumpy and stuck together and kinda burnt :( only the one meal but I think the packaging needs to be updated too as it don't agree with the heat off the food goes all wet then but other than that it was nice

Ordered mild peri chicken but was very spicy. Ordered lots of times before so definitely got the order wrong. Chips were also cold and chewy. Disappointed this time as normally really good

I had some time to kill in Newport today so I wondered about for some food. I stumbled upon Royal Peri, I ordered 1/4 Peri chicken with fries for 4£, for the price I wasn't expecting much but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on. If you're in the area you must try.

The best wings in Newport, spicy and good size. Great to find a good halal place for fried chicken. Interior could do with refurbishing and outside window has been smashed for a while, but can’t fault the flavor or price!

Ordered beef loaded fries and they made that within three minutes I was surprised that how can a good loaded fries made that quick when I opened it was a beef burger Pety on top of chips and with hell of liquid nasty cheap cheese only have few bits I was done. Not worth for £6. If the owner see this review please go to photo boys city Road mackhalal abandoned road and ask them beef loaded fries.thats the Royal peri not very busy customer buys first and last time

Late by an hour and a half. the food was undercooked the chips were soggy the drinks didn’t come.

I didn’t receive my order, no answer from restaurant no refund no nothing. Loss of money and that’s all.

ordered a blackcurrant frost shoot and got an orange one and the chicken didn’t taste nice normally it’s great but this time it was disgusting but the rice was fine and they changed the recipe for the wings it’s nice

Everything tasted amazing and plenty of it.

So they gave me a collection time of 8.30 I go there and there at 8.15 food is already cooked and In the warmer then the lady proceeds to bag it up and have it sat outside the warmer for 10 minutes while she has a chat with a work colleague the food is atrocious not worth the money

my order it's been late 2 hours

Over 2 hours to deliver chicken and chips, food arrived soggy and when I called the restaurant they kept hanging up on me. When the soggy chicken did eventually arrive the driver was rude and didn’t even apologise

No doubt the food is delicious. But the service if there's a option -0 star I will put it. The communication is madness! We tried place an order many times, and then the lady said she doesn't understand. How is possible order food if she doesn't understand English?!? Put her on kitchen and swap with someone understand the minimum English!

Hot wings are not consistently cooked well. The first time i ordered wings, they were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. I just ordered the wings today and unfortunately they seemed old and felt luke warm. I was very disappointed.

They are never putting peri peri salt on my chips they ask me if I want perip peri salt and never put it on they are so annoying the foods are good but it’s the perio peri salt I need peri peri salt.

Chicken Burger was over cooked and solid completely inedible.

Peri Peri Half Chicken Meal: Lemon and Herb Chicken was lovely and the dips complimented the flavour and the chips were tasty there was plenty of them. Peri Fillet Rice box was slightly cold and not enough garlic sauce on it so i probably won't buy that again but all that for 16.28 i couldn't fault it so i would order from this restaurant again.

Absolutely disgusting my son ordered a meal we waited an hour and a half and still meal not delivered then the driver said he was outside I looked nowhere to be seen. Won't be ordering from there again as service was poor and the person on the phone, had a language problem so they should employ someone who is more fluent, as they clearly are not made for the job.

The owner is very rude , there is no customer services at all, even if you are regular customer they will never give you any thing extra. For the owner he count every single penny, sorry to say I will never go again. Very very rude poor customer service please don’t go there

The behavior of the staff at this peri peri chicken take away was extremely disappointing. It's one thing to have a bad day, but it's another to treat customers with such disrespect and rudeness. Unfortunately, the unpleasant attitude of the staff completely overshadowed any enjoyment you might have had from the food itself. In conclusion, I would not recommend this peri peri chicken take away to anyone. The foodis expensive and the experience of dealing with rude and dismissive staff is not worth it. It's a shame that poor customer service destroyed it all for me, and I hope that the owners take steps to address the issue and ensure that all customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

Food was bland, Hot wings were not hot or spicy at all Whole peri chicken was barely seasoned and definitely was not extra hot. Not something you would want to break your fast with.

Delivery took 1 hour 40 mins to come so all food was cold and when I called to chase they kept saying driver is on way and did nothing to help.

Horrible chicken wings. Ordered fried spicy wings but the batter is the same as your normal chicken piece. Not only that, the batter was coming off, mushy and oily. Think chicken is not cooked properly too. Friendly staff and atmosphere was alright. Update: Started having food poisoning and been "shooting off" in both ends. Yep, not coming again even if it's the last chicken takeaway on earth.

Order was missing items so called the restaurant and they said that as it was through justeat they couldn’t send out another driver so unlucky But would add the items next time we ordered. Well we won’t be ordering again from here. Apparently they were busy that’s why they missed items! So if you order from here make sure they are quiet first or waste your money on items you don’t receive

The burger was burnt and to call it a burger is a disgrace for how it is assembled it is sloppy dry and flavourless. There was near to no cheese after I paid for it, I paid for a meal and it didn't come with any fries or the drink it was supposed to come with so I have been ripped off. The hot wings are so greasy, flavourless and soggy it was obvious they have been left in a hot hold for a while.

Awful just awful. I ordered the peri strips and rice meal. It was just tasteless. I ordered the chicken hot but it came as just plain white chicken with some burn marks on it. The chips were limp and also white with some peri seasoning shaken ontop. With so many places doing peri chicken they really need to up their game.

Don't bother, im only giving them 1 star cos I cant put minus stars, first time ordering off them, the order was supposed to be here 19.40, then put back to 20.05 then 20.15, at 20.25 still no food so I phoned them up, eventually they answered for them to say 'weve just started cooking it.... go to perilicious instead way better

guy can't speak English when you ask a question he kicks you out and when we ask why he kicked us out he came to hit us. Terrible don't go get quality food from KFC.

Waited 2 hours for food to arrive, burger was as soggy as a soaking peice of cardboard (literally inedible) and slightly pink.. Chips tasted like the potato was plucked from the ground, plated without cooking at all.. Missed a drink from my order. And the wrap was smaller and thinner than anything I've seen before Would rate this -10 if possible.. My advice? AVOID AT ALL COSTS! EVEN IF ITS THE ONLY POSSIBLE PLACE TO ORDER FROM!! better off balling your money up and throwing it away, even then you would be more satisfied 🤢🤢

Tiny portion of soggy fries, chicken fillet that barely covers half of the bun, literally square inch of salad and onion in the burger, "extra hot" peri chicken that is "kind of spicy" at best, and to top it all off a delivery driver who claims he's at your street but can't find the address, and then takes 10 minutes to actually arrive on the street that is 100m long. Is this a joke?

Not only was the delivery 20 minutes late, it was incorrect with items missing. The food we did get was awful. Tried more than 25 times to ring the shop but couldn’t get through. Certainly won’t be going here again and would recommend you don’t either.
