Had a really excellent Sunday roast - pork with lovely crackling - with sticky toffee pudding. Plenty to eat. For such a small village it's so brave to take on this venture - very well done to you all.

We went with friends for ‘Curry Night’ on Friday and it was fantastic! Jenna is an incredibly talented chef and produced amazing food for all the diners. Great quality locally sourced ingredients and everything prepared to a very high standard and yet exceptionally reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and a pub to visit for drinks or food.

The new chef has started so we booked in for Sunday lunch. Both had the lamb and it was superb, so tasty and everything was freshly prepared. I had the rhubarb crème brulé for pud, again so tasty and homemade. Great to have food available again at the pub.

Warm and friendly atmosphere plus good beers. The food from the new cook is great too .. home made / seasonal vibe. I had perfect sea bass with asparagus and new potatoes followed by rhubarb pannacotta and shortbread. Yum 😋

This is not just a pub it is run by the community and has an adjoining cafe that serves amazing coffee and cakes and the sweetest shop selling everything you could imagine and lots of it locally produced, from food to everyday staples. There is a lovely outside and inside sitting area. The pub is so cosy with wood burner and a skittle alley in a separate area. It even has a mobile post office once a week. I gather a new chef is starting soon so I will be back for an evening meal. I think you may have to book! The village is off the main roads and is a quiet haven with a lovely church. Nearby is a huge playing field with a well equipped children's play area and two amazing tennis courts . What a find! Well worth a visit.

Lovely friendly village pub, good food, excellent value for money. Parking available and there is a garden to sit outside for all to enjoy. So drop into the Royal Oak and give them a try, you know what they say use it or loose it. In my eyes it is to good to loose such a relaxing pub to chill and enjoy.

Absolutely loved this place! They very kindly allowed us to spend the night in their quiet secluded and quiet car park in our small campervan. I don't think they do food anymore, which is a bit of a shame because if the food was half as lovely as the welcome we received it would still be outstanding. Anyway we self catered instead and then called in for a pint! We were both completely blown away by the friendliness of the staff and the locals, they were so warm & genuine and fun. You know when a normal night just evolves into something really special, we'll that's what happened here to us. Maybe it was just a one off, but I doubt it.... We will just have to visit again and make sure.... I can't wait! Oh and by the way the beer was excellent which goes someway to justifying the amount I consumed... Why don't YOU give The Royal Oak a visit and find out WHY we rate it so highly Thank you all for such a great night 🍻🥂🍺🍷👍

Excellent local pub who served a family of 18 with a three course meal on Sunday. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. We obviously booked ahead due to the amount of people eating in one sitting. We have a few fussy eaters but again their requests were met without a quibble. Very impressed. With a part of 21 this time I can ditto the above review. Excellent and thank you for the lovely food.

We stopped at this pub on a Sunday. Unfortunately due to having a new chef start in a few days there was no food but we were informed of this before we arrived so it was no problem. It has cones around an area for motorhomes and electricity is right next to each bay. Water is nearby and the toilet emptying facilities are very good. On top of this good beer is available and the Dutch licensee and his English wife were really welcoming and nice. If in the area I will use this location again.

What's not to like about the Little Wine Shop, Social Wine Bar and Tapas. Our recent trip was alcohol free but still worth a visit for the tremendous tapas and cheese selection. Had many a visit wih delicious wines but still loved the ambience and friendly customer service without the wine! Thank you.
