A former jewel of a pub in Stevenage to a pub that needs a refurbishment. No decent real ale, deserted a lot of the time, unless they put on a Soul session or a band, then you can’t get served. They don’t endure that glasses are not taken out, walked pass many a time to find broken glass nearby, bottles strewn on neighbours walls. Just a bit of effort, and this could be a very nicer boozer for the locals. All that I know just walk past into the High Street, and try not to make eye contact with those drinking outside swearing and being loud. Avoid.

One of the best roast/carverys I've ever had, Fresh veg, with cauliflower cheese, homemade potatoes and freshly carved meats ( beef&turkey) what more could you ask for.2 courses for £10 is such a great offer aswell, we squeezed in room for a sticky toffee pudding which was okay but lovely at the same time, Perfect food and perfect service, we will definitely be returning again

Massively underprepared for the scale of event at the gin and rum festival london, oval. Waited an hour for loaded fries. They had 2 small fryers that couldn’t cope with the amount of food. If you don’t have the equipment to supply a menu item then maybe consider taking the item off the wait time wouldn’t have bothered me if I was told when ordering or if the food came hot. The loaded fries I ordered were cold wet chips with sauce and a small amount of chicken thrown on top, hardly loaded. Very disappointed.
