Decided to order a takeaway pizza from Prezzo thinking that although it is more expensive, the food is generally much better. We ordered a marguerita pizza, a mushroom and mascarpone pizza and garlic bread. They were all so disappointing! Barely any topping - 35% dry base, approximately 1 mushroom and maybe a dessert spoonful of mascarpone, the thinnest tomato base ever and all very dry and unappealing. It was like eating cardboard - very disappointed.

Worst service ever! Staff turned me away because I did not book online. Only 5 tables occupied, I was told they were short staffed, but was more staff than customers. The manager could not speak good English and asked me to leave because we was going around in circles and she would not allow a table of 2 at 8.30 in an empty restaurant. Would never go here again. AVOID!!!!

The slowest rudest service ever, half hour to have plates cleared and dessert bought despite requesting plates be cleared 5 times! The lady who I assume was the manager rolled her eyes at us several times and completely ignored our request (obviously clearing plates was beneath her) and when dessert was served plates were thrown down on table with no regard for who it was for. There’s so many other places to eat here in future we’ll not be returning.

Another visit to Stevenage and and another amazing experience. Elena again was absolutely fantastic….So helpful and smiley despite a really busy restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for her or any of the staff. It really makes the whole thing worthwhile. Food was delicious, piping hot and delivered with no delay. Can’t wait to go again.

Me and my friend go here now and again even though it's nearly always very slow service. The waiter we got was pretty vacant and not engaged whatsoever, took our mains order and our soft drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. When the food came the chicken breast on my plate was so overcooked it was actually rock hard around the edge. I ate as far as I could because we couldnt face another wait for a replacement. The waiter looked shocked that I said it was overcooked as if there was no such thing but said he would tell the "chef" and did not offer a replacement.We were finally asked if we wanted desserts and we said yes could we see the menu - he said ok I will get it and he disappeared for 15 minutes. When he returned he wanted to take a hot drinks order but we had not ordered any desserts yet, he said oh it is on the paper menu did I not show you? No mate you didn't. We ordered and waited around 25 minutes for them to come and had to remind him twice to get them.No apology for the bad service or overcooked food and definitely no discount for it either. We will probably go next door to Ask next time, this place needs to get themselves sorted when they charge 13.00 for a bit of overcooked chicken with a mushroom or two chucked on top.

After a few disappointing visits to this Prezzo we popped in after bowling with our young children and had good food, good service and used the Meerkat discount with ease. We wanted to leave a review because we were particularly impressed with how they handle allergies. Upon arriving we were asked if anybody had an allergies and once they knew about our sons severe nut allergy they were really very accommodating. The staff were super helpful and reassuring but the menus alone were really well labelled. It made life much easier! Would recommend to families with you allergy sufferers. Takes the stress out of eating out.Dropped one star simply because it took a long time to take our drinks order. But our server after this was so lovely and friendly.

After today's visit we as a family will never visit a Prezzo's again. The service was diabolical we were left for at least 15mins with no drink order. When we did finally receive our starters they were discussing, nobody came and asked us about our food. Mains were ok but nothing special. Staff just walked passed and ignored you. Definitely not worth the price

We visited this on a Sunday evening and after our starters, we expected our mains (1 burger and 1 pasta) to follow soon. We waited 45 mins and questioned why our food was taking so long. We were first told it'll be another 10 mins and than another 10 - the restaurant was only half full. It was nearing 8 pm. I asked to see the manager but was asked to go and see her instead of her coming to us. When I came up to her, she purposely tried to avoid and didn't even have the damn courtesy to look me in the eye and apologise. She told me it'll be like 1 minute and it's ready. After a few minutes it was obviously they had only started cooking and it wasn't like it was on the hot plate and I said we're done, cancel the order and we'll just pay for the starters and leave. Again no apology or reason given why, we were not looking for compensation just an apology You should really sack your manager if that's the kind of service you're going to provide. It would have been better if you were honest with us UPFRONT. So we wasted our time hereTERRIBLE SERVICE

Visited the place on Sunday with my family, 5 of us. We had to wait 30 min as was not any table available (clean) so were told to come back. The place seemed pretty busy so understandable.We got sat by the door while there were another 8-10 available tables by a not very approachable girl. Was very rushed and all she said were 2 words! Anyway we got served by Wantana, We asked to be moved as it was draft where we were sat. Lovely smiley girl and pleasure to order with. She should give some lessons to the rest of the staff.Overall a great night out. The service quick and the pizzas tasty except of the Prosciutto and Mushroom which lack of Prosciutto. Put some extra prosciutto people, for £14 pizza it should be rich of ingredients.We used the NHS discount with no problem.We recommend the place and will be coming back, and ask to be served by Wantana again.4 stars for the issues i mentioned. If only for our server would be 5 stars.

Today I went to my favourite restaurant in Stevenage - Prezzo at the retail park. My server was Elena who could not have been more welcoming. - Service with enthusiasm and a smile. The service and attention we received was absolutely first class. She is a credit to the restaurant. The meal was excellent as always and I look forward to my next trip when hopefully she will serve us again.

Quick efficient service. Good Covid measures with one way system which was explained to us. However some people did not follow it and the staff did not intervene. Food was lovely and hot and we did not have to wait long. Only one thing was that no one came up and asked it everything was okay. Would return again.

We went to this restaurant for a belated Fathers day.Arriving at 2030 we were shown our table and ordered drinks. Then left 20 mins before the food order was taken Tgen a 30 Min wait for the starter to arrive.I ordered Penne Arabiata and extra chicken and Mazzarela. When it arrived there was only one tiny piece of chicken in it and one piece of Mazzarela .It was mentioned to tge waitress who said that she would mention it to the manager Nothing was done about it, the manager couldn't be bothered to even come over and I heard nothing more. The bill was full price , no discount or anything in recompense for the lack of chicken etc Basically we paid extra and git nothing for it.Really bad practice by such a supposedly reputable company. We won't be going there again. There are much better places that do care about customer service

Popped in after the cinema on the off chance they had availability.... they did and we were seated straight away...... drinks came shortly after and we all chose our dishes..... kids had pizza and they were delicious ... served from the pizza oven on view... I had the carbonara al forno which was delicious!! Wife the lasagne equally as good.... lovely helpful staff This was a pleasant surprise we haven’t been for years to a prezzo but Wel definitely be back!!!

cold..ordered a carbonara and it was literally spaghetti and bacon with loads of oil and salt, couldn't eat it due to how much salt there was. No carbonara sauce in it whatsoever. Garlic bread was more bread with melted butter. Pizza were abit hard and cold so was hard to eat,calzone was smashed up before it got here and it went everywhere in the box.. usually go into this restaurant and never have a problem. So wanted to order, £60 wasted in my eyes. Won't be buying from here, felt like i ordered from a poor quality pub food.

THE first time we've gone back to our favourite Stevenage restaurant since lockdown first started in March!Still a bit wary as infection numbers are on the rise again, and with the weather giving us a welcome, warmer--than --recently, non-windy day, we asked if we could eat outside, which we did. We noticed straight away how the waiter (Assistant Manager, Zolt) took the time to explain all the Covid-safe set up before taking us to our table: social distancing, routes to the loo, exits, and so on. This was a very good start.We had already noticed around a week or so beforehand that ALL staff in other restaurants, both in the leisure park and in nearby towns, were NOT wearing face masks, yet all staff in Prezzo were. Chefs as well. That impressed us. They were really safety aware, before it became mandatory.Zolt was very polite and affable. He chatted to us and made sure we were aware we could take our time, no hurry and so on, whilst ensuring we were happy with menus, choices and everything else. The place looked and felt as warmly welcoming as ever and the service was second to none.Our drinks and meals were delivered quicky and, really importantly to us wherever we are, the meals and coffees were served HOT. They were delicious.Holly, another Assistant Manager, brought us our water at first and checked regularly to see that we were happy and not waiting for anything. She too was friendly and made us feel very welcome. There was also a young waitress, with long, dark hair (whose name we did not get, unfortunately) who served us our food. She spoke with a foreign accent and was extremely charming, cheerful and helpful. It was a pleasure to eat there and we look forward to our full return as we grow in confidence again with eating out. The lovely staff and service given at Prezzo has certainly helped us to take those steps now much more quickly.Thank you. We appreciate it!

The food was a very poor quality and considering it’s a limited menu I would have expected excellent foodI had spaghetti carbonara it was absolutely tasteless I had a tiny amount of Parmesan which was not added at the table the food was plonked down without a single word of is that enough Parmesan the kids meal carbonara was spaghetti which quite frankly was some cheap rubbish the sauce you couldn’t see any no bits of ham I had to give him the two bits of bacon I had in mine for the price I won’t be coming again

Forgotten about the eat free scheme that everyone and their wife are using at the moment. Wanted to meet a friend for a long overdue catch up and have supper. Maitre De informs us of no tables as all booked, advised we could wait. Ten mins later very polite staff invited us in, and say they have a table outside...it wasn’t quite alfresco weather but we were hungry and it was dry, and the queues elsewhere on the leisure park were astonishing. Ordered vegan pizza, very nice presentation, sadly tho within five minutes of eating it was almost cold, my date said the same Maybe some shuttering or something needs doing around the parameter as it’s horrible to sit in a donkey jacket whilst eating. The pizza itself was pleasant but for note vegan cheese does not denote ‘use loads’. I left the middle of my pizza as I found it too gooey.

We needed to eat really quickly due to my granddaughter having to return to the theatre for the evening performance of her dance show. We visited this evening and it was not particularly busy. Took them 15 minutes to just take a drinks order to which we then ordered all our food also. It was a lengthy wait for the starter and even lengthier for our plates to be cleared. We then waited so long for our main to come out, the assistant manager asked us if we were ready for dessert menu!!! When the main finally arrived it came out cold. At this point we had been in the restaurant for almost 1.5 hours!!! When I mentioned in a jokey manner that it hadn’t been a good evening for us with our order etc the assistant manager Zslot (with black hair and goatie beard in the black shirt) said ‘it is what it is’ He then came back to our table to give some drinks and I mentioned that we had ordered fries with our meal which also hadn’t come out. The lady who served us obviously forgot to put them on the order (mistakes happen!) to which his response was ‘it’s not on the order, wasn’t put through’ proving it by showing me the hand held order taker. At this point we called over another staff member, a lovely gentleman who was very polite and shocked at the way in which we were treated and we told him we did not want the cold food back and due to the treatment from the assistant manager we were leaving. He wiped the bill for us and apologised profusely and was very polite after such bad treatment from the assistant manager.

Hi my name is Viktor Markvar and I want to share my opinion about this company. I worked for Prezzo LP form 9th of December 2019. I didn't get any salary when I started working for this company. I moved to England and I am really new around here and I'm so upset to handle there company like this. They offered me a monthly salary and I just wondered that I could get my money WHAT I WORKED FOR at the and of December. Anyway I didn't got it. It's not fine and it's not alright, is so infuriating that I couldn't get my money what I worked for the last 2 months!!!! I worked in the busiest times whit this company in the whole Christmas period including the Christmas Day but now I!ve had enough. I just want my money what I worked for it not more and not less! We walked out. Keeping a diabetic waiting 40 minutes and bringing a child cold garlic bread when you've asked for it to be brought with the main meal is unacceptable. Gillian, the waitress seemed rushed off very feet, meals eye pulling up to go cold on the side near the kitchen and the restaurant generally disgruntled.Won't be returning.

I’ve been to a few restaurants in the Prezzo chain and invariably they are good. The one in Stevenage is very much the exception. Food is average and service is very poor. Frankly it’s just not worth going here.

Sitting down to a 3/4 empty restaurant to be seated at a table not fully set. After 15 minutes we finally got to submit our order to a very uninterested waiter. We ordered our drinks to wait another 20 minutes. We then had to ask for our drinks that were then bought to us another 5 minutes later. Our drinks were sat at the bar for 10 minutes prior. We then ordered our food, part of our order arrived another 30 minutes later. Our food was sat on the serving bar for 15 minutes before being served to us which all arrived freezing. We had to wait another 10 minutes for the rest of the food to arrive in which time the other food was already cold. We will not be returning to Stevenage Prezzo again!! Really disappointed as we were out for a nice family meal.

Worst prezzo ive ever been to. Staff are rude, waitress miserable and more interested in flirting with bar staff than doing any work. Food was plain and looked like it had been dropped on the floor before it got to the table. Plates dirty. Nobody questioned why we left 2 full plates of food and when I tried to complain I was talked over. This is nothing like the prezzo in my home town so probably a lot to do with the staff

Wish I'd read the reviews here before making the mistake of booking a table. Booked for 5pm and we were sat straight down....good start. That was where the good service ended. Nearly an hour later we finally managed to get someone to take our order. Thankfully we all wanted pasta which arrived quite quickly and was very nice. Thought about having a dessert but it was now 6.40pm and we had to be at the theatre for 7.30pm so asked for the bill. After 20 minutes it finally arrived and then had to chase after a waiter to actually pay it. Worst service I have ever had...2 hours to eat and pay for a bowl of pasta is ridiculous.

Starter was fine would have been better with just mozzarella. I had a glass of wine which was over £8 and poor. The pizza was fine. I had a desert but it was quite sickly and overpriced. Service was average and the restaurant seemed quite cold. All in all very average and won’t be returning.

Booked a table for 5 people for 1730 hours, needed to be speedy as we had tickets for the theatre. Arrived 10 minutes early and sat straight down, great we thought! No, waited 30 minutes for waitress to come to table following a game of staring at each staff member as they walked past! She apologised and took drinks order but when we said we were ready to order she said she would be straight back. 15 minutes later she is still clearing tables and taking other orders. Our drinks were sitting on bar for those 15 minutes. We walked out as needed food. We approached her and all she could say was sorry!, not good enough. Customer service dreadful, dread to think how long food would take. Will not be returning and will be telling all friends and other review sites about this

We visited Prezzo in August and were not happy with the service we received. However this was rectified by money off our bill. We revisited on Friday evening and had a much better experience. Our waiter was Levi and we had excellent service. He was friendly and helpful. The food in all 3 courses was very good made all the better by a 40% off voucher. Many thanks

We decided to go to prezzo for a family meal and the service was absolutely shocking from the last time we was there! The last time we had a really lovely woman (I think her name was shiv?) This time was disgusting. The management was terrible, the service was shocking. They seemed like they didnt have a care in the world. The male manager was standing around doing absolutely nothing, you could see the restaurant was busy and the staff were running around like headless chickens trying to get food out on time and to make everyone's experience wonderful, probably wont be returning due to the way the male management treats their staff, and the was they make them do everything while they tweddle their thumbs and look on their phones! They need more people in management like the round woman who I still believe is called shiv or siobhan.

I went to prezzo after going to the cinema on a Saturday night, it was very busy but they managed to fit us in even though we didn’t book. Went into prezzo and stood there for 10 minutes with staff standing there speaking to each other and ignoring us! It was embarrassing with other diners watching us being ignored! Staff made eye contact with us multiple times and did not make the effort to come over and greet us. Eventually we had to walk out of the restaurant without being seated. I was giving the restaurant a second chance as last time I visited I had hair in my food but it was a waste of a choice! I visited the restaurant on a Thursday night with two friends. It was very busy but there seemed to be enough staff to be able to manage the place! I cannot fault the food, I had a chicken spaghetti carbonara and it was very nice. The problem with this place is the red haired woman! We had a reservation but we were sat near the door so every time the door opened there was a breeze so we asked one of the waiters if we could move. The waiter we spoke to about moving tables was a lovely young girl and she didn’t have any problems with us moving. After 5 minutes of sitting at a different table, the red haired waiter looked as though she was speaking rudely to the young girl and then came over to our table and asked for my name and to see the proof of my booking although the young girl has already asked and checked, so it seems as though she didn’t believe we had a reservation and she also didn’t believe her coworker! This redhead waiter had no time for us, she never actually stopped to speak to us, it was always very rushed, very rude and my experience would’ve been excellent if it wasn’t for her.

There were approx. 12 of us and we had pre booked our meals - when we arrived it was ages before our drinks order was taken and waited a while for the drinks - when though we had pre booked our meal choices - again there was a delay in getting the food out and approx. 20 mins difference between the 1st starter coming out and the last starter arriving - the same with the main. My main was inedible and I sent it back. they were clearly understaffed (although the restaurant was only about half full) and most of the staff did not seem to be trained (one female manager was good). very poor service - we did not pay the service charge - very average - poor food - I would not go back

When you are seated at your table you expect to be told the dishes that are unfortunately not available from the menu....oh no! My family make their choices, only to be told one dish is not available. We are given 5 minutes to look at the menu again, we choose an alternative, only to be told again, it is not available...really! So much time wasted unnecessarily, I ask to speak to the Manager, who does very little to restore my faith in the service, (other than talk over me.) We order dessert....the waitress comes back after a few minutes to tell me they’ve just sold the last tiramisu, totally unbelievable! Terrible service, will not be back, and I definitely do not recommend.

We went for my sons birthday. There were 5 adults and my granddaughter who's 7. Our waiter was Michael who is an absolute asset. He was very attentive. He gave paper to my granddaughter when he saw her trying to draw on paper napkin. Shall definitely go back and hope to be looked after again by the lovely Michael.

Honestly cannot believe what I saw tonight. The restaurant was quite busy and the lovely host apologised that there would be a slight wait for a table, to which we understood and proceeded to sit at the bar. There was another female manager (short hair) who was running around like mad trying to get stuff done alongside the first manager we spoke to who was clearly helping behind the bar, on the floor and at the door. They looked exhausted an rushed of their feet which made me feel sorry for them, especially when the male manager was stood in the corner looking at his phone!!!!

I came to prezzo last week with my friends, due to myself not paying attention and a young inexperienced member if staff we had a gluten issue. This was rectified and the young girl (possibly Hannah? ) was lovely and couldn’t have apologised enough. For her age she was very very attentive and the manager was incredibly understanding.

I visited Prezzo this evening with my family and just wanted to say how lovely Shannon was. She was very friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. I visited prezzo a few months ago and the service was dreadful so I was a bit hesitant to go back but we had a gift voucher to use so though my we might aswell spend it. I’m glad we did as Shannon changed our view of the restaurant. Thank you Shannon :)

After bowling went for a meal at prezzo. Waited to be seated however nobody came. Went to speak to chef who then spoke to a waiter in a foreign language. The waiter then went to the bar ignoring us. They were NOT busy, only three tables were being used, so the eight of us left and had a good meal around the corner at Ask. Prezzo will never see us again.

Having been to a local Prezzo in the last week, I cant rate Stevenage highly enough. Prezzo is a chain, the food is the same more or less, no matter which restaurant you visit. However, what sets this particular place apart from the rest, is the highly efficient, friendly and down to earth staff.

We came as a group of three and were seated straight away by a lovely waitress named Maddie. Nothing we asked for was too much and she was incredibly friendly and accommodating! The food came out fast and was delicious, and at the end of the night the new manager came over to introduce herself and she was absolutely lovely! Customer service is so important and these two lovely ladies certainly made our visit a great experience!!

Came this evening with my daughter and her friends, for my daughter’s birthday ...no reservation, and on a very busy evening (GCSE results night)...despite having a very full restaurant and more customers queuing at the door, the lovely host Siobhan quickly found a table for my daughter and her friends, and was so warm and welcoming too. Had to wait for a while in doorway before we were seated. After this we were ignored. I could see the couple on the next table were not happy so I asked about the service, they said they had been waiting 30 minutes for their deserts. I tried lots of times to get staff attention, eventually a waiter came near and I asked if we could order he asked me to wait. He never came back. Eventually the manager came to take our order, he had been serving food and drinks and clearing tables. I asked if they were short staffed but he didn't want to interact. The couple at the next table wanted to pay after another long wait. When the card machine was brought over by Rennele they complained and she was very good and could not apologise enough. She took the customer over to the bar to issue a voucher for them to use next time. She told her we were also not happy and Rennele came straight over to us to apologise and explained they were very short staffed. Maybe the manager could have explained this as we were seated. However we had a good meal and as customers had left the service improved. We were given a discount from the bill, a very good gesture. So thank you Rennele

Went out for a friends 50th 6 people .. 25mins to order drinks another 20 mins for them to arrive after sitting on the bar for 10mins ..food was only warm.. had to ask for more cutlery .. had to ask for cheese 3 times and waiter was unsure of the dishes he was serving ... not even offered dessert or coffee .. manager/supervisor seemed to want to argue with us and not even listen to the issues .. we weren't the only table as next door had the same problem ...

Waited ages to be seated despite the place being empty. Another group behind us just sat themselves down. Got colouring sheet given to us for the toddler but no crayons. Asked four different people for some and each said they would bring some but never got any. Food was good and quick. Service from my waiter was good also. Although I struggled to understand him a few times. I’ll not be rushing back.

Awful service, staff do not even come to greet you or show you to a table. Manager looks as miserable as hell and doesn’t even smile at customers. The whole experience is the complete opposite to any other Prezzo restaurants I normally visit. We were not show to a table, no one acknowledged us, we had to go and tell a member of staff that we had been waiting at the table for almost 20 mins. The food was cold, the portions sizes are tiny compared to other Prezzo restaurants, the salad is full of only leaves to make it look like you are getting so much when you are not actually getting anything! The overall experience of visiting Prezzo’s Stevenage was appalling. We will never visit them again, instead we will go to Belle Italia or zizzi’s in the same retail park! Don’t waste your time and money visiting this restaurant! Zero rating from us!

Visited this restaurant with my partner as we were both hungry and wanted to eat a good meal. When we walked in the staff were all talking and sitting around the bar and we were stood for several minutes before being acknowledged. When a member of staff did approach us they were conducting a conversation one of their colleagues and there was no polite greeting made to us. When we were shown to a table the menus were dumped in front of us and the staff member returned to their conversation at the bar. No offer/enquiry made as to whether we wanted a drink and no-one advised us about any special offers. Some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered, with the result that we walked out. I do not intend to give my custom to this or any establishment that treats its clientele in such an appalling manner

They have two types of Rose, one dry and one sweet. yesterday evening we asked for a dry Rose but they only had warm bottles so they thought it was ok to give it to us and a glass of ice??????? When we said no, gave us the other Rose, and didn't understand why it was what we wanted(don't drink sweet wine) Ended up with prosecco and even that wasn't chilled enough. Food not great. Ruined evening.

We booked a table for my daughters 9th birthday dinner following bowling at the leisure park. When we turned up to drop the cake off I checked the booking and they had no record of the booking which was worrying as I had a party of kids with me. The manager sorted it out but when we actually arrived for dinner we were shoved in a corner for 25 mins waiting for our table. The restaurant was virtually empty at the time.

Prezzo was always my fave Italian chain restaurant.. until today. Menu changed since I last went but was fine with it. They could use a veggie ravioli option as I always like a lighter filled pasta option. Had the calamari and giant meatballs for starters, and calamari was alright but they only give you 2 “giant” meatballs. Not great start, but they were tasty. Gorgonzola was far too strong in cheese and salty - not for me, but my sister thought it was okay. Carbonara was as expected, can’t really go wrong with it. Dessert was the most disappointing. Brownie dome sounds appealling, but in reality everything was nearly frozen, and the “hot white chocolate” you pour over wasn’t even warm and tasted like nail polish. Not even exaggerating. Sad to say I won’t be back and will have to find a new fave Italian chain.
