Prezzo - Stevenage Leisure Park in Stevenage

I always get this dish from Prezzonand its been always so nice. but today was very oily. hopefully was just one time off.

Far too noisy to have a normal conversation around a small table of 4. I had the lobster and crab ravioli and I don’t think it was cooked enough chewy in parts the prawns were lovely. Also why do we put pepper of everything and offer pepper on the table. The desserts waited for a while to be served and the ice cream was more like custard.

What a lovely lunch yesterday at the Stevenage restaurant with the sister and we were so well looked after by the fabulous Elsom - what a brilliant, kind , beautiful human he is x thankyou .

I'm always treated as a friend, that's why I always come back! Today my server, Vjola, was cheerful, attentive and efficient.

Had a great night for a friends birthday last week. We were lucky enough to have a 50% off food voucher. It’s so refreshing to go out and know you can afford it. Our server Adam went above and beyond to look after us. We had great fun challenging him to rock, paper, scissors to get 2 for 1 on desserts!

A friend and I had a lovely dinner here. Restaurant is clean and tidy and service was quick and friendly. Would definitely return.

Standard prezzo pizza and pasta - nothing great but fine for a quick meal. However we ordered some olives to have with drinks while we waited, which on previous visits have been fine. We were presented with a small bowl of dry tasteless olives. We ate about half of them before giving up. I mentioned this to the waitress as plates were being cleared. She said she would tell the kitchen but I doubt she did.

We took advantage of one of the very good offers at the moment. The restaurant was quite buzzy, which was good. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed calzones (veggie and calabrese) and lemon meringue/tirimasu for dessert...all very good. There was a good choice of reasonably priced wine. Beer was good, if expensive. Overall enjoyable experience and would happily return.

We enjoyed our meal here. The decor is fun; Elson the server was friendly and helpful; the food was plentiful and well put together; the menu choices were wide-ranging. There was nothing we didn't like. Puts other chain restaurants to shame.

The service is brilliant, staff couldn’t do more. Restaurant inside is great. Food isn’t very good. My daughter had a chicken burger that was like rubber. She couldn’t eat it. My pasta was cold and tasteless. My mums pasta was cold and tasteless. I wouldn’t go back.

We tried Prezzo for the first time tonight during the Blue Monday deal, the restaurant was visually pleasing, although we felt a cold chill everytime a new customer entered… Our starter arrived before our drinks, it was calamari and was underwhelming… Our mains were Spag Bol, Pepperoni pizza and a carbonara with chicken, we turned down Parmesan and chilli oil and the server looked at us like we were mad… I guess that’s where the flavour exists bcos it wasn’t present in our dishes.. my son enjoyed his carbonara, but the other two dishes simply were just bland and my pizza needed longer in the fancy pizza oven (it looked like it had been cooked in a school kitchen the pepperoni was basically just a bit sweaty). The best thing about the whole experience was my Morello Cherry Cooler which was delicious.. Sadly we wouldn’t return and definitely wouldn’t pay full price for food that lacks flavour and love. I’m glad we tested it out on a cheap offer as I’d have been gutted to pay full price for the food we were served.

Delivery time kept changing. Bottom of the sauce pot completely melted so spilt all over the bag and food. Pasta, hardly any cheese and huge pool of oil on the bottom. Chicken burger had no seasoning, 20p size of cheese and limp lettuce. Chips cold.

December.. visited recently and it was such an enjoyable experience! Food was so good and tasty and service excellent. Was quite busy but food was served promptly and no waiting around between meals. Very pleasant, smiley serving staff. One of our group has celiacs disease so absolutely no gluten, but was asked upon entry about any allergies and from then onwards was given special attention with ordering and serving her gluten free options. We couldn't have asked for any more. Thankyou!

Restaurant comfortable and warm and tables not crowded together. Service prompt, friendly and helpful. Food delicious, portion sizes just right. Calamari starter particularly good, great taste and not at all chewy, which some can be. Food prices moderate. Why not 5* - drinks prices high, £7.50 a pint for lager is a lot. £27 a bottle for house red also a bit high.

We went to Prezzo for our office Christmas Meal on a Friday night (there were 7 of us), and we were very well looked after by our waiter Michael. He was attentive and thoughtful, and he made sure everyone's dietary needs were satisfied, which resulted in the team feeling completely safe. The food when it came (reasonable waits, no delays to speak of) was delicious, and as we were leaving he offered to take a group photo! Definitely would recommend and return another day.

Terrible experience! Took 1hr 45 mins to come. Food was absolutely freezing when it arrived. Nobody would eat so had to put it in the oven. Not on! Appreciate the restaurant is probably busy but you should close delivery services in this case! Yuk!

Only good thing was the food. Took 45 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Food took ages to come. Ceiling wallpaper was hanging off the ceiling. Toilets were disgusting. Most had no toilet paper.

We brought three of our grandchildren with us who were very hungry as always. We were seated very quickly by very pleasant, happy staff. We were quickly served drinks by a really friendly waiter who was very patient with the children’s orders and with all the likes and dislikes we requested. We did have to wait a fair time for our first course but the restaurant was very busy with a queue at the door but this produces a good atmosphere and tells you it is a good restaurant. All the food we received was delicious and well cooked and presented. The ingredients all of good quality. This is a very good, efficiently run restaurant and value for money. I would say the best of the Italian chains.

Very disappointed after day out with family in the retail park come to prezzo to have meal as family and there was hair in our pasta after speaking with staff been told the chef don’t wear hats or hair nest and quality of service was bad overall very disappointed also we didn’t have the meal deducted from our bill

I found the delivery driver walking the streets asking random people where my address is ? then food was freezing cold , no seals on boxes and bags , bit of a dodgy character delivering it, never ordering again from just eat ABYSMAL

I would say, this resturant has definitely brought itself out of the doldrums. From a couple of years ago. The food was great with plenty of choice for all tastes.and the staff are excellent, very efficient and friendly. A special mention for our waiter Michael but everyone was lovely. On a Friday night, it was very busy and therefore very noisy. ,which is the only downside .( not sure how they can improve that).

I've called in previously, and the service wasn't great, but I put down to being just after the lockdown. However, on this occasion, the restaurant was almost empty with only 6 tables occupied. When I entered and was approached by the male waiter, the first thing he mentioned was it was card only no cash, and then if I had any allergies. I was shown to my seat. A booth facing a wall of tealights and not into the main restaurant. I ordered my drink and food and after a short time both arrived, food before my drink. Not once did anyone ask if everything was OK despite the till being behind my table. When I finished the waiter came over and collected my plate and glass and left. The food was average. I've had far better pizzas. It was dry, lacking flavour. The service was dreadful, and being placed as a single diner facing the wall made me feel like my patronage was a burden.

Super yummy pizza that you’d expect if you was sitting in the restaurant eating!

Birthday meal for 7 adults. Friendly greeting at the door, other staff were also friendly. Food arrived quickly, was hot and tasty, good size portions, like others have mentioned we weren’t offered additional drinks or deserts, but we did have a birthday cake that we brought with us. Only let down was the very high prices, average plate was £16-£19, for a bowl of pasta or a pizza it seemed expensive, my pint of lager was over £7!! Probably explains why the place was so empty, always used to be full of diners. Shame as it used to be good value for money. Will probably return sometime as we used our Tesco double Clubcard points to pay for most of our food (£80), although £95 left to pay for, we had 7 meals 3 sides & 7 drinks (1 pint & 6 soft drinks)

We booked a table for 9pm in Prezzo Stevenage on a Saturday night. We was running 10 minutes late so called ahead of time to let them know, however it took 5 rings/waiting on hold for them to answer. We were greeted pleasantly by a lovely woman and sat down at our table. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, but had a few diners still in. We ordered our drinks and food together, and VERY quickly after our food arrived. It was hot, but not great quality. It felt very rushed, the food wasn’t what we had experienced before. We paid the bill, and left. I wouldn’t recommend going to Prezzo in the late evening, all other times we’ve visited around 7pm have been fine, but tonight felt very rushed and lack of quality with the food.

Went with my daughter. Everything’s pretty average and as expected. I asked for some balsamic vinegar and got a blank look. Then the waiter brought over a bottle of Heinz malt vinegar. Not really what I asked for but good try. I don’t know why but once we’d had some desserts the waiter’s just ignored us so the only way to get the bill was to get up and start putting our coats and bags on. It was ok but at £17 for a pizza I’m surprised it’s still open tbh

We all enjoyed our food and drinks, we had lovely staff that served us. Food came out on time and was hot and good quality. Good vegan options too.

Child’s pasta carbonara was full of black bits like burnt bacon and black pepper. Child didn’t like it and is a bit put off prezzos now.

Very tasteless food. Overcooked and oversalted bacon in carbonara looks very strange, the sauce is clearly from the store. The cost of the dishes is clearly overpriced. The service is normal, but they never brought us a jug of water.

Starter was nice, all the mains apart from mine came out, they forgot mine rushed it to get it ready and the pasta was hard and tasteless, I asked for it to be taken back and didn’t feel like waiting for another so never got the food, went to pay and they still didn’t take it off the bill, absolutely disgusting

Had a fantastic meal on Saturday evening, initially thought we wouldn't get a table as it was 7pm on a Saturday evening very busy and we hadn't booked. Duty manager said 'No Problem I'll ensure we'll get you in' Menu has changed slightly since the last visit (February) but still a great selection. Son always has exactly the same & seeing as they're staple menu item's he was fine. I like to vary my meals so I had the New Meatballs dish for my starter which was really tasty followed by the Pincha Pizza with Chicken, Peppers, Caramelized Onion & drizzled with honey again really tasty. Staff were attentive to our needs despite restaurant being packed with a couple of large parties in & another of 14 arriving while we were eating. Prezzo Stevenage continues to remain as one of our favourite destinations when we're out.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was delicious and well presented. We look forward to returning.

Cashless venue so we won’t step foot in there again! Food was average, service was ok, drinks are expensive…. We’ll stick to venues who still appreciate our hard earned cash.

Terrible. Slow service with staff ignoring you. Fish was ok and quite tasty but rocket accompaniment was dry and curled and the additional fries I ordered were cold. Had to wait a long time to pay the bill.

Visited Sunday 14 April at lunch . Used to love Prezzo, good value and good quality. What we had on Sunday I’d not feed to a pig. Undercooked chicken, burnt bacon, cabbage that was vile, and baked potato that looked like it had been warmed up with a torch. So called salmon rigatoni , I’ve seen more salmon in Stevenage lakes. Overpriced. Never will I go back to Prezzo Stevenage, I’d rather eat cardboard.

When I was there last night, I was going to entitle this review "If hell were a pizza parlour", but I have relaxed on this a little overnight. It is clear from this though that I did not enjoy the experience. The first thing to say is that refusing to take cash is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. The second thing to say is that it was FAR too loud and FAR too dark in there. If they fitted some softer furnishings on the walls and ceiling then much less of the sound would be reflected back and it would not be so loud. The more the sound bounces back, the more people have to shout and the more sound there is to bounce back. While they were up there, fitting muffling stuff to the ceiling, they could change the lights so that we could see what we were doing. The third thing to say is that the 10% service charge was coming it a bit after they led us such a merry dance with the pre-order. We did half the waiting job by establishing what we wanted in advance, painstakingly and with an overcomplicated multi-menu system. It really doesn't need to be that difficult, it isn't in other places. The other half of the service wasn't all that. They definitely knew precisely how many of us were coming, after the protracted pre-ordering palaver. Despite this, the table was not big enough for us and could not be made any bigger because of the real limits at either end. We all had to shuffle along and squeeze in. It is a good job that we are good friends. Not all of the component tables were at the same height as each other, which was problematic for those sat at the steps in the surface. The water glasses were wider than they were tall. I consider that this makes them bowls, not glasses. I would expect yogurt in something like that. I already knew that I didn't want any of the starters from the pre-booking. Would it have killed them to offer wings with pizza. They are natural bedfellows, after all. If you have bothered read this far, you might wonder why they got the second star. I didn't have an ultimately terrible time. My friends were the salvation of it. They were wonderful. It would have been nice to have been able to hear more of what they were saying. My pizza, just a simple pepperoni, was really nice. I would have liked to have been able to see it properly and to have had some wings before it but this is Prezzo after all. Overall, if there are a lot of you and it is at night, don't go. It might be nice if you weren't very hungry, in the daytime (they do have a lot of windows), and there were only a few of you.

Excellent food and service on a busy Thursday evening. A bit noisy so we sat near the bar as it was quieter. Nice pizzas. Very good service from all staff.

What a night! Michael is the loveliest server I think we’ve ever had. A true legend! The kitchen serve food that is incomparable to other restaurants. A divine night for a birthday party!

Our food went to symonds green & we live the other side of town. When the food arrived our pasta was all spilt, there was no sauce left on the pasta because it was all at the bottom of the bag, the cardboard boxes they came in were split. Happy to show you photos, not something we expect when we spent over £50.

Been twice now, yes Saturday evening’s are very busy but the quality of both food and service was excellent on both occasions. Won’t hesitate to return and try something else!!

Delivery was good but food was awful, arrived cold and needed reheating. The food didn’t taste very nice or fresh very disappointed as it is not a cheap restaurant won’t be ordering pizza again.

3 of us dined last week and had a lovely + quick meal. Amazing service from both the manager and general staff and the food was really yummy. Our waitress was named Wantana and was really lovely + efficient. We haven’t visited for a while but had a brilliant experience and will definitely be returning :) thank you !

Really disappointing. Not sure if it’s changed hands. Tables wobbly and old. Toilets not great. Doors all sticky on entrance. Menus with food on them. And then the food was a let down. Couldn’t eat my starter. No more tomato bruschetta. Pasta hard and under cooked. I requested no cucumber and the server brought my dish and said salad no cucumber and I had to send it back as it had cucumber. Chicken tough and inedible. Incredibly expensive and tiny portions. Always used to be our family staple but sadly we won’t go again.

I had booked to go here for lunch with my friend and our daughters firstly it was busy but it took 30 mins for someone to come over for us to even order a drink after ordering drink she went off so quick we didn’t get chance to order food too , anyway after a further 10 min wait our drinks finally came so it was well over half hour more around 40 mins just to get drinks, then flagged someone down to order food which also took about a further 20 more mins to arrive the food was tasty and nice no complaints about the food although I’d say it’s quite pricey for what you get , my can of soft drink was £3.85 ! On the hole service was not to great , it’s half term and with adults paying full price kids eat free and we asked and was confirmed this by the staff yet when our bill came they had charged us £7.95 each for kids meal when we mentioned it was told gotta down load the voucher which when we asked why was we not told this? Anyway I wanted to pay cash to which the woman didn’t seem to happy about as she said she had to go find me some change now , didn’t say card only as it’s not so don’t see what the problem was 🤷🏼‍♀️ if you go expect long waits , and as I said pricy so for me and my friend to have lunch one meal each and soft drink it was £53 the garlic bread is tiny and £7 !! I wouldn’t go back in a hurry if being honest

The kid's meal came at half the usual size, and the fries weren't as crispy as usual, but my meal was otherwise good.

Extremely disappointed. We booked our table for 18:45, was told they were running 10 mins late. Weren’t seated until 19:15 when other people who arrived after us was seated before us. Manager at the front of the restaurant was rude they clearly prioritised bigger parties. Despite seeing a 2 table free for over 15 minutes. The food took over an hour to come and when it did arrive the pizza dough was raw and the waitress was also rude by commenting on how we were eating. Won’t be returning to this prezzo again!

Visited twice in the last 12 months and got food poisoning both times.

4 minutes to spare. Food was cold! In one of the salmon pastas, there were over 6 bones that I extracted which was very disappointing. Please pass this complaint onto Prezzo.

The service was very rushed, and the food was bad. Bad, as in the crab and lobster ravioli felt like a cheap ravioli from Aldi’s and just poured some cream over it. And the salmon and olive rigatoni was actually some other fish and rigatoni. NOT SALMON. I wouldn’t order it anymore and also I will not eat here at any point as the food disappointed. The only good thing was the hummus.

I've never had a bad meal at Prezzo and this was no exception. However, this was supposedly a Christmas meal. There wasn't so much as a Christmas cracker to be seen. The Christmas menu was random dishes taken from the usual menu. Would it have been too much trouble to knock up a Christmas calzone or pizza or something similar? Nice meal, nice restaurant (my first time at this Prezzo) along with good service. A little more thought could've gone into it to make it more of an event. Prezzo were also quite late to bring out the Xmas menu compared to most other restaurants or venues. When I enquired on Facebook about when it was coming out, no one bothered to respond.

Always piping hot and fresh. My favourite takeaway. 50% off made it so affordable aswell. Went for king prawn spaghetti and it was SO GOOD. Fantastic service. Keep it up!

Ordered plain ceaser salad as I’m vegetarian but it turned up covered in chicken. Daughters burger was rock hard and stone cold whole meal was absolutely terrible. Never again.

I have ordered this same dish from Prezzo and its been always very lovely and tasty with the right spice to it. However today they have sent me glutten free spaggetti and I have ordered the normal one, also very greasy for some reason and very spicy hot. I love spicy food but this time its very extra spicy. Hope its only one time mistake from their kitchen. But I will have to think twice next time I order from Prezzo. Thanks
