Royal Haweli in Kingston upon Thames

I ordered food from Haweli. Big mistake! The staff member who delivered my order was extremely aggressive from the moment he arrived. Instead of taking a picture of the order being delivered to my door, he started taking pictures of me and filming me on his phone. After asking him to stop on numerous occasions, he made an excuse about needing to collate evidence of the delivery. He continued to record my voice and film me and not the delivery itself! . He made me extremely uncomfortable as he continued with his aggressive nature. . My neighbour heard the commotion and stepped out to help me and offered to call the police. At that point he ran off. I have my food but cannot even eat it due to being so upset about what has happened. I called the restaurant and they had no concern whatsoever, which in itself is very concerning!! Now i have some random man with my video in his phone and a restaurant that made excuses for him! I am absolutely disgusted!

We ordered off just eat and the food originally came damaged and completely un edible. Curry was all over everything but we contacted the restaurant and they gave us a whole new fresh order. I am really grateful to how they dealt with this matter and in the end their food was enjoyed by us all including four children. Chef Alam dealt with this problem professionally.

Having received a letter through my door last week from new owners of this home dining establishment, I discovered that Royal Haweli has now closed, and become 'Pink Garlick.'

The menu was dropped through my door and the name stuck, so thought I would give them a try for home delivery via the website I tried the tandoori king prawns and they were really excellent - a decent size, well spiced and not overcooked as they can be. Keema rice and chicken pakora was also good, but I did make the mistake of asking for Bombay potatoes vindaloo hot - ye gods even for a heat lover they were hot !! Will certainly try again

Not too bad. He was polite in person, if short on the phone. Found two tiny bones in my last mouthful, just disconcerting to bite down on. Probably won't order from again, mostly due to the first point though.

Really Quick delivery , food was alright I went for something different - palak paneer which was really sweet and I didn't enjoy very much. The curry itself was delicious , although for me it wasn't spicy enough however I only went for a "medium" heat curry so that's my fault.

Loved the meal as usual everything cooked beautifully, only one small complaint rather stingy with the bombay alloo -know it was free but would rather pay for it if we're going to be given such a small portion !!!!

Wrong food; chicken instead of lamb - no drink; as per ordered yet still charged for drink - plain naan as opposed to garlic as ordered. Not a very good experience at all at all!

The food was great, delivery time fast.... But the service wasn't good, my order got a little mixed up and then when they came to correct it they brought the wrong thing again aha. Also I left a note saying to ring me when they arrived but they obviously didn't get the memo. The first guy seemed annoyed at me for taking ages to answer the door (but that wouldn't have happened if he called me like I asked). Then the next guy ended up disturbing my upstairs neighbours, and annoyed them a lot too.

They forgot the naan bread and replaced with sagalo, just wish they rang and told us what we could have instead of changing it themselves

I use to order from this take away all the time but this time the standards seem to have slipped to an unacceptable level. The food arrived late and when it did arrive some of the courses were only just above room temperature. The butterfly prawn seemed to have some kind of very cheap formed prawn meat inside and seemed to have some sort of film that had come from the meat on it. The popadoms weren't very crunchy so I have to wonder how fresh they were and the bread would be hard pushed to convince me it was made and wasn't cash and carry bought and heated up. The curry as always was amazing quality but everything else seems to have let it down. I'm gutted about this as I have LOVED every other meal I have ordered from here.

As long as the freebies keep coming and the food is still as nice, I'll keep on ordering. Could be a tad cheaper and the card fee is a bit cheeky.

Fairly priced when there was a special offer on; the portions were good value for money except for the rice. Came in the designates delivery time.

Chicken was tough and chewy, tikka masala sauce was a jelly-like substance that wobbled on the place with hardly any flavour. Popadom was ok but arrived broken, mint sauce dip was also a jelly-like subtance with little flavour, naan bread was a bit thick and hard to chew, pilau rice was without flavour. Very bad will not order from again.

Food was excellent. Authentic and tasty, arrived on time, hot and fresh.

Excellent value for money and very good service, the Jaal Laal was delicious but could have been a little hotter.

It was on time, and apart from my order there was a 2 starter instead of my coconut rice order, Driver could bring my attenion. Food taste is delicious. I like to company service and will be on my delivery list of restaurants.

Waited 1hour 15min for food. Onion salad wasn't there. Food was good though but long waiting time would make me reconsider ordering from there again.

Driver called me after getting lost because he had the wrong postcode. Popadoms were missing from the order so driver had to go back and bring them but they were cold when delivered. Very poor service.

Tasteless food: paneer lamb and aubergine tasted like fresh water. Aubergine and prawns cover in a bed of oil (or grease sauce) making them very heavy. Prawns covered in a dark red sauce that left marks on my white worktop. Having said that lots of food and delivery service was exceptional. Never again

Average - my partner likes his main but I was disappointed by the fact that they use frozen veg (little squares). This annoys me as a vegetarian.

Food used to be better and the price for the set meal for 1 has gone up. No longer great value for money and food was pretty average to be honest. A real shame, used to love this place.

Very poor quality of Food. We ordered matter paneer and hariyali chicken. Those were so sweet felt like having dessert. Not at all authentic Indian.

Last night i was feeling peckish, as usual ordered from my favorite Indian in town, as i have tried the others and been disappointed, for the last three years. The Chicken tikka masala is one of best dishes i have tried with plenty of chunky chicken cooked in thick creamy sauce goes really well with the crispy puri. they also do the best mango lassi which is the perfect drink to tame the spicy curry. The delivery Man has a skill for customer service and keeps me posted to any changes. I will recommend food from haweli blindfolded.:)

Too oily. It was not palak paneer but some curry base with some spinach.

Food was covered in oil, so much so that it had leaked in the bag and covered all the food. Food was lukewarm when it arrived, however it arrived earlier than estimated. Probably wouldn't order here again as I have had better ones. Disappointed as it had great reviews from others.

I have been ordering Korma from this place for over one year now and i can honestly say they do the best korma ever!!! Delivery drivers always show great people skills and its always delivered within a reasonable amount of time. I just can't get enough of their korma.

Too much colour not enough flavour - the sign of a poor restaurant I'm afraid. The chicken madras was poor and the Bombay Aloo was tasteless.

Curry was quality restaurant standard, rarely seen at take aways. I lived in Bradford and Birmingham for over 20 years and I am a curry addict! Definitely would order again.
